Sorry for the huge break in chapters. I will try better to get more chapters out faster than this, I don't want to rush them, but I promise I will never forget about this story.
Aelita walked in through the front door of the Hermitage, as she did she ran her hand along a table kicking a thin bit of dust. She suddenly stopped in fear as three men in black stood in front of her before one began to approach her. In her dorm room Aelita bolted awake with a scream from the nightmare. After taking a moment to recover she got up and went to the Girl's Bathroom and washed her face in the sink, in the mirror she noticed Sissi entered the room and turned around. "Was that you screaming, huh?" Sissi snapped annoyed. "It's uh…" Aelita trailed off before burying her face in her hands sobbing, causing Sissi's annoyance to fade to surprise and concern. "What's the." Sissi began to say before being cut off by Jim. "Sissi, what's all this about?" He asked, noticing the commotion. "It's Aelita Stones, Jim. She isn't feeling well." Sissi replied. Jim guided AAlita back to her room.
The next morning the gang was gathered around the cafeteria steps, while Aelita explained what happened the night before. "It was daytime. There were these men in black coming after me. It was horrible." She said, "You must have had a nightmare. You shouldn't get worked up; it happens to everyone!" Yumi stated, trying to comfort her. "Yeah! That's right. Happens to me all the time. One night, I dreamt I was on a date with Sissi. Can you think of a worse dream?" Odd said laughing abit. "Oh, speaking of which, how's your Internet dating going, Odd?" Yumi asked. "Great. There's this fantastic girl that I've really flipped over, too. And I just found out that she's a student right here at Kadic Academy! It's totally crazy" Odd replied before adding, " I see her every day, and I have no idea who she is!" "And what's worse, he stayed up all night exchanging chat messages with her. I didn't sleep at all! Thanks to him." Ulrich mentioned. "She sends me these messages that are so romantic. I mean, like poems. Listen to this: 'Love, is not looking at one another-'" Odd started to say before Jeremy finished his sentence. "'…it's looking together in the same direction,' huh?" Jeremy finished. "Hey! How do you know that?" Odd asked. "It's a poem by the guy who wrote The Little Prince. She may be romantic, but she's not very original!" Jeremy said. Josh looked at his phone, "It's time for swimming." Josh said. "You going to cut class again Einstein?" Ulirch asked. "No, I can't. Jim has already warned me: 'no more dumb excuses y'hear?!" Jeremy responded disappointedly.
At the pool the whole class was sitting on the side listening to Jim. "The human body is made up of ninety percent water, and that is why it floats. Because, contrary to what you might think, water…floats. Don't forget Archimedes' principle: any body plunged into a liquid ehh…uh…is uh…a uh…uh…" Jim said, forgetting what he was saying. "Comes out wet?" Odd asked. "Uh, yeah, right. Uh, no! That's not it… Now, no one has to be scared of the water, unless of course you're lost at sea somewhere in the middle of the Indian Ocean. In that case, you would certainly have the right to say, "Wow, that's a lot of water there. And what's more, it's only on the surface!" " Jim began rambling while Odd was quietly talking to Ulrich. "Tania? Hm… I know who it is. Yeah, sure, it's Sophie! She kinda fits the profile of all those chat messages." Odd said. "What makes you think it's a girl in our class? It might just as easily be Milly or Tamiya." Ulrich replied. Jim continued on his rant, "Which reminds me of when I was a salvage diver." He said. "You used to be a salvage diver, Jim?" Nicolas asked, surprised. "I'd rather not talk about it." Jim answered. "Azra? No… No way. She's not a first year student either, I forgot." Odd said, still talking. "Maybe she's in Yumi's class. What if it's Anais Fiquet? Next to her, you're a real shrimp!" Ulrich said, laughing a bit to loudy. Jim turned around and pointed at them both. "Stern and Della Robbia! Uh, I-I'm sorry if I'm boring you! Alright, on deck! Let's see what you can do."
Meanwhile Aelita was holding her hands on her head, leaning forwards abit. "You okay?". Jeremy asked her. Josh watched in concern. "uh -huh." Aelita said, smiling sort of. "You sure? Something doesn't seem right." Josh said gently, putting his hand on her shoulder. Meanwhile Odd and Ulrich had dived into the pool after Jim blew his whistle. "I'm fine." She murmured, and Josh sat back removing his hand.
Then Aelita had another vision. It started similarly to the other but this time as the one men in black advanced, Aelita ran down the stairs looking around in a panic before running towards a door leading to the outside, still being followed.
At the pool Aelita stood up and fell backwards into the pool sinking towards the bottom. The other students gasped in shock. "Aelita!" Jeremy gasped, jumping into the pull and gently pulling Aelita to the surface.
Later that day the gang was in Aelita's room gathered around her bed where she was laying down. "This time, it was much more detailed. There were still the men in black, but I was at the Hermitage." Aelita said. "The doctor said you passed out from the cold." Yumi stated. "That may be, but…what about the visions? Where are they coming from, Jeremie?" Aelita asked. "I haven't the slightest idea! Although, I'm sure that it's no big deal. The best thing is for you to get some rest now. We'll talk about it later." Jeremy replied, sort of worried.
Yumi looked down at her phone. "Right, I've gotta go. I'm already late." She said, "Us,too. Mrs. Hertz is gonna kill us!" Jeremy said, looking at his watch walking towards the door. "Wait a minute! I'm just about to find out who she is!" Odd stated. "Come on, odd. You can talk to your cyber-girlfriend after class." Ulrich said, closing the laptop screen. "Take the computer with you.' Jeremy said as they left and he began to close the door. "See you in a bit, Aelita! I'll come back again to check on you after science!" He said. Aelita smiled and waved as he closed the door. Once everyone left Aelita got up out of bed.
As the group was walking to class Josh was talking to Jeremy. "I have been having weird dreams lately as well. Like I dreamed of biking through the forest towards the Hermitage. Another I was at some random house building a snowman. It was just weird." Josh said. "Strange." Jeremy said, not thinking much of it.
The bell rang, and the students were entering the classroom and taking their seats. Odd walked backwards into Sissi while she was unpacking her bag. "Hey!, Can't you look where you're going, you clumsy dork!?" She said in annoyance. "Oh! Sorry, Sissi, I mistook you for a doorpost. Ha!" Odd replied before sitting down next to Ulrich putting the laptop down on the desk and opening up the chat windows. "Hey! She's in our class! She said that she has science now with Mrs. Hertz!" Odd said pleasantly surprised. "Odd. pass me the computer." Jeremy said, taking his laptop from Odd. "Hey!" Odd said. "I forgot to check something." Jeremy said rapidly typing.
Mrs. Hertz bangged a ruler on her desk. "Settle down and be quiet, please!" She said annoyed , causing the class to go quiet. "Open your books to page ninety-nine".
Jeremy watched his laptop as the superscan showed an activated tower. "Oh,no! An activated tower!" Jeremy gasped before he raised his hand. "Ma'am, can I go to the bathroom?" Jeremy asked. Ulrich, Josh and Odd followed asking as well.
"Oh, no you don't! It's always the same with you four! You should have gone before class! Also Jeremy put away that computer before I take it away!" Mrs. Hertz said angrily.
Meanwhile Aelita was walking along one of the paths in the park, She closed her eyes and a number of images flashed by. The men in black standing in the doorway, one of them approaching here and finally the Hermitage. She opened her eyes and noticed the Hermitage wasn't far away and began to walk to it.
Back in Mrs. Hertz class the gang was listening to her lecture about mercury.
Aelita walked up the front steps of the Hermitage and up to the front door. She opened it and stepped she looked around she briefly got a vision of the room years before when someone still lived there: tidy, clean and bright. She continued to walk slowly thru the house looking around, seeing the kitchen before walking into the living room and seeing a piano when she again gets a vision and sees a man sitting at the piano playing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. She slowly walks up to the piano before the man and the music fades away leaving her standing in the empty room causing her to gasp and close her eyes for a moment. "Calm down, Aelita." she said to herself.
Back at school Hertz continued teaching. "It's also a very heavy metal, which means… what? Sissi?" She asked which caused Sissi to look up in surprise. "Uhh… Uh…! It means…uh…that a pound of metal weighs…a…euh…nearly a ton?" She answered, causing the other students to laugh before the bell rang.
The group got up and left the classroom. "Warn Yumi. I'll go get Aelita. We'll meet up at the factory." Jeremy said heading toward the dorms while Ulrich and Odd headed for the factory with Ulrich calling Yumi.
Aelita continued to slowly walk around heading upstairs to the room where they found Mr. Puck. She stands near the bed before she gets another vision of everything nice and tidy. She closed her eye and put her hands to her head. "Calm down…" She said again.
In the dorms Jeremy knocked on Aelita's door. "Aelita?" Jeremy asked, hearing no answer he tried the handle and found it unlocked. Seeing Aelita not there he called her phone. Aelita answered her phone. "Jeremy?" She asked. "Aelita! Where are you?" He asked worriedly. "At the Hermitage/" She said, sounding upset. "But you should be resting." Jeremy replied. "These visions are haunting me! I've gotta know where they're coming from.." She replied. "Right.. Anyway, listen: You ought to know that Xana is on the offensive. The others are already at the factory. Don't move, I'll come and get you" He stated. "I'm big enough to make it to the factory by myself." Aelita replied a little annoyed.
After Aelita hung up she looked out the video before suddening seeing a vision of three men in black standing outside in the garden. She gasped and backed away from the window before hearing a voice. "Aelita." She turned to the voice and saw the man from earlier standing at the door. "Come. Quickly." He said before the vision faded away. 'Hello? Is anyone there?!" Aeltia asked, looking around before walking down the stairs. When she walked down she screamed seeing the three men in back waiting for her, she ran down the stairs to the basement the men following her. She ran towards a door that led outside to the garden. She looked around before seeing another vision of the man by another open door. "This way" He said, causing Aelita to open the door and run inside seeing a set of stairs going to the sewers.
At the factory the gang was waiting for Aelita. "Just thirty seconds more and you can head for the canners." Jeremy said typing. Aelita walked into the elevator and started taking it down after it opened. She stepped into the lab with a look of confusion and discomfort on her face. "Aelita, are you ok?" Jeremy asked.
"I uh.. I had some more visions. Um, I saw a man and it was…" She trailed off a bit still calming down. "Who?" Jeremie asked. "Franz Hopper." Aelita replied. "Are you sure?" Yumi asked. "I know it sounds crazy but I'm sure it was him!" Aelita stated. "Interesting, I have been having weird dreams lately as well, no visions tho. I bet they are somehow connected." Josh said, "I told Jeremy about it earlier and now that I think about it Franz Hopper was in it as well." He added. "What if this is Xana's attack?" Odd asked "What?" Aelita asked, confused. "I mean, these strange visions and Josh's dreams." Odd replied.
"Exactly! Xana is perfectly capable of stimulating your cerebral cortex, through the virus that links you to him. And from that, he can paradoxically simulate in you an artificial sleep, and involuntary psychic activity that goes with it. And with Josh, Xana knows everything about him, he must be able to have some form of outside influence especially with an activated tower." Jeremy said.
"In short, you mean Xana's showing these two free movies." Odd said joking a bit. "But why?" Ulrich asked. "Let's not hand around to find out. Let's go deactivate the tower." Odd replied heading to the elevator. Everyone except Jeremy followed him and headed down to the scanners.
"Ulrich, Odd and Josh first." Jeremy said through the PA. The three got into the scanners. "Transfer, Odd. Transfer Urlich. Transfer Josh. Scanner, Odd. Scanner Urlich. Scanner Josh. Virtualisation!" Jeremy said working through the paces of virtualizing the three of them to the Desert Sector. "The activated tower is due south. Here come some vehicles." Jeremy said before going to virtualize Aelita and Yumi. "Virtualization." He said as he completed the process.
Once they were all together on Lyoko Yumi, Ulrich and Odd ran towards the vehicles. Aeltia hung back a bit still distured by the vision she had earlier. Josh got on the back of Ulrich's Overbike and the three began heading towards the tower. "Josh, remind me to make you a vehicle later." Jeremy stated. "I will" Josh he replied. "Coming, Aelita?" Yumi asked noticing her hanging back. Aelita shook her head a bit trying to focus before jumping on to the overwing behind Yumi.
As they headed towards the tower Jeremy noticed some monsters. "Xana's got some monsters up ahead at your 12, o'clock. You see them? " Jeremy asked. "We;d have to be as nearsighted as you not to see them!" Odd yelled seeing a Tarantula, two Bloks and a Krab. "Odd, you handle the Blocks, Yumi and I will take care of the Tarantulas. Josh you got the Krab." Ulich said as he and Josh were heading towards the monsters. Yumi stops a bit away from the area to let Aelita off before heading to help the boys. Aelita looked around a bit and saw the edge of the sector and then looked back towards the tower. Ulrich and Yumi jumped off their vehicles and Josh continued on the Overbike towards the Krab. Odd was flying around the tower taking shots at the Bloks.
Ulrich was distracting the Tarantula while Yumi threw her fans at it, initially missing. Odd flew directly towards one of the bloks, dodging the lasers as they fired before shooting a laser arrow straight at it destroying one of them. Josh jumped off the overbike above the Krab and stabbed it. Ulrich continued to distract the Tarantula using his supersprint to run around it and confuse it slightly while Yumi threw her fans again this time hitting their mark and destroying it.
Aelita began walking towards the edge of the sector, before using her abilities to summon the Transporter. "What's going on here?" Jeremy asked, noticing odd readings on his screen. Soon the transporter appeared. "The Transporter?! But I didn't call it up! Aelita, What are you doing?!" He asked. :Sorry, Jeremy. But I want some answers. I have to find out where these visions are coming from." She said before the transport picked her up. "Aelita, don't do it! It's a trap!" He said upset.
Meanwhile Odd had destroyed the last blok. "Xana's succeeded. Aelita's gone to Sector 5. You have to get there fast!" Jeremy said worried. "I will deactivate the tower." Josh said, running to it and entering it. "Jeremy, should I try and see what Xana was up to while I am here?" Josh asked. "No, just deactivate it and go help the others." Jeremy said worried. "Okay." Josh said moving up to the top of the tower before deactivating it. Once he had deactivated the tower Josh met back up with Ulrich, Odd and Yumi before heading towards the edge of the sector.
"I am entering the code Scipo." Jeremy said, typing in the codes to bring up the Transporter. The Transporter appeared at the edge of the sector and surrounded the group and began to transport them to Sector 5.
Once they appeared in Sector 5 the group began to run towards the corridor. "Jeremy, the corridor is still there!" Odd said as the began running down it. "That's because the countdown is still ticking, hurry!" Jeremy replied.
Soon after the Scyphozoa picked up Aelita and began to steal her memory. "Oh,no! The Scyphozoa's taking Aelita's memory. Hurry up!' Jeremy stated seeing them nearing her location on the halosphere. "We're almost there!" Ulrich said before they ran right up a room full of moving blocks that were moving up and down, at the other end of the room they could see Aelita in the Scyphozoa's grasp. "Great! A leapfrog contest" Odd said sarcastically as they began to make their way block from block. After a few blocks they were slowing down. "Hurry up!." Jeremy said watching Aelita's memory percents go lower and lower. "You think this is easy?!" Ulrich said breathless. "At this rate, we'll never make it in time." Yumi said worried. Odd looked down the opening before taking aim at the scyphozoa. 'Odd! Mind telling me what you're doing?" Jeremy asked. "Saving the day.: He said before firing a laser arrow towards the Scyphozoa cutting one of its tentacles and hitting it in the head, causing it to drop Aelita to the ground. Shortly after the block Odd was on moved toward the ceiling and crushed him causing him to be devirtualized. "Odd!" Yumi yelled.
"Odd! Are you ok?" Jeremy asked. 'Sector 5 is even worse then Mrs. Hertz's class." Odd said annoyed.
Back on Lyoko the group made their way to the key and triggered it. "Aelita, since Josh deactivated the tower you want to get some information from the terminal?" Jeremy asked. "Yes" She said as the group got on the elevator and headed to the celestial dome. "Aelita, I can help look if you want." Josh said. "Okay. Although theirs only one terminal." Aelita stated. "Takes fine. I should be able to bring up a new one since I have many of Xana's own codes and Sector 5 is his home." Josh said. "Okay, well you two better hurry. Looks like Xana is bringing you some company." Jeremy said seeing Manta already being summoned. Josh and Aelita ran towards the edge of the area of the Celestial Dome, Aeltia put out her hand and the terminal appeared. Josh touched the terminal and types a short command sequence causing a second terminal to appear.
The manta's began to fire at the four of them targeting Josh and Aelita primarily. Ulrich and Yumi continued to block the lasers as they came, not allowing any thru.
"Aelita this is weird I can't isolate where the dreams I have been having are coming from. It seems like they are coming from me." Josh said typing, "Jeremy I can't either. I am going to send you the data." Aelita said. "I will as well" Josh added.
Soon after Aeltia and Josh closed their terminals and Jeremy virtualized the vehicles. "Your vehicles are ready." Jeremy said, "Head out of Sector 5 and to a way tower so I can devirtualize Aelita." He added.
A bit later the group was standing back in the lab. "So Jeremy any clues in data we collected?" Josh asked. "None, either the visions are coming from yourselves or Xana heavily masked where they are from." Jeremy replied.
Later that day back in the cafeteria the group was eating. "Any more visions?" Yumi asked Aeltia. "None." Aelita replied. "You see? It was all a trap made by Xana." Jeremy said. 'I guess. But I still would really like to know where those memories came from." Aelita said. "I would like to know as well." Josh stated. "I think that Xana must have made the whole thing up." Ulrich stated. "Or maybe the memories came from someone else! Implanted in you by Xana in order to scare you.' Yumi added. 'That very well could be it." Jeremy replied. "It's very strange, though. Iwas really under the impression that I was reliving the events that I was seeing." Aeltia added. 'That, however, can't be." Jeremy replied. 'Yes,I know." Aelita said.
"So, Odd. How's your cyber sweetheart?" Ulrich asked. "She is too cool! I've really got it bad this time, guys. I'm going to meet her." Odd said standing up. "When?" Yumi asked. "Now! At the vending machines. Later!" Odd said, waving as he left.
Odd was walking towards the vending machines when he noticed Sissi walking towards them. "I don't believe this." Odd said to himself upset. "So, Odd, your fantastic girl - what's she like?" Ulrich asked. "Uhhh. Surprising!" Odd said looking toward the direction of the vending machines. Ulrich was surprised seeing Sissi. "So, did you meet your mystery computer boyfriend? What's he like?" Herb asked Sissi. "If he's a mystery, why would I tell you, you dork?!" Sissi said before noticing Odd and Ulrich looking at her from behind a tree. 'What's the matter with you? You act as if you never saw me before!" Sissi yelled. "Never like that." Odd said surprised.
Please be gentle with the reviews. Getting back into writing and this was honestly written in only the past few months. The next few (3) chapters will be fun as will the one after it.,
