A race of tiny humanoid aliens known as the Elias arrive on Earth on an island called Infant Island. With them they bring their genetically engineered guardians, the Mothras.

The 50 meter 3 headed dragon King Ghidorah arrives on Earth, attempting to destroy the dinosaur population. Luckily, Rainbow Mothra arrives from the future, battling Ghidorah. After a grueling battle, Rainbow Mothra drops Ghidorah into a volcano, afterwards being encased in silk by 3 Mothra larvae, preserving Mothra through the ages.
65,000,000 years ago
Another 3 headed 50 meter dragon called DESGHIDORAH attacks Earth, nearly killing everything on it. The Elias send the Mothras after him, and while he wipes nearly all of them out, they manage to seal him away. Ultimately, only one female Mothra and a handful of Elias survived the battle.
15,000 years ago
The civilization of Mu emerges, and so does a rival empire that would come to be known as Nilai Kanai. Both civilizations create several recreations of dinosaurs, but bigger, stronger, and with the intelligence of Velociraptors. The muans also experiment on themselves, giving them psychic powers. They eventually rename themselves the Cosmos, and end their wars with Nilai Kanai and Atlantis. Afterwards, the dinosaur mutations are left to live on several scattered islands. By this time, the only Elias that remained were the 3 sisters Moll, Lora and Belvera.
13,000 years ago
The Nilai Kanai's pollution problem causes them to create a kaiju dubbed DAGARLA to clean up their oceans. However, Dagarla goes rogue and ends up poisoning the waters with toxic starfish dubbed BAREM. This ultimately leads to the destruction of the Nilai Kanai. However, they had a colony in space that would go on to menace Earth in 1999.
12,000 years ago
The Xillian aliens send their cyborg kaiju GIGAN to conquer Earth, but it is stopped and mummified in what would become Hokkaido by Mothra. Soon after, Cosmos scientists create a device to control Earth's climate. Greatly offended by this, the spirit of the Earth creates a dark Mothra named BATTRA, who begins destroying the Cosmos. Mothra rushes to stop him, and Moll and Lora end up sacrificing their individuality to become one with Mothra and give her the strength to seal away Battra. However, the Cosmos civilization was destroyed, and a disillusioned Belvera leaves to parts unknown.
11,800 years ago
The Nilai Kanai's sole space colony faces a horrific disaster that scars them all deeply, rendering them husks of their former selves. Vengeful, and learning of the fate of the Cosmos and Nilai Kanai, they decide to take this chance to take over Earth. However, they would have to wait almost 12,000 years to rebuild their technology in their new forms.
8,000 BC
The young prince Yamato Takeru embarks on a journey, using powers bestowed upon him by the gods to defend Japan from several threats, the deadliest of which being the 8 headed dragon YAMATA NO OROCHI. Yamato Takeru transforms into the giant ISUKAGAMI to defeat him.
5,000 BC-
The Xillians send a small contingent to Earth, breeding with humans and creating hybrids whose powers would someday emerge, making them powerful foot soldiers in a potential conquest of Earth.
2,000 BC
The masculine spirit of Earth creates a dragon-like kaiju known as BAGAN, who becomes the protector of ancient China. However, he begins attacking the Chinese people, forcing Mothra to battle him, but before she can be killed, the muan space colony arrives from the future and takes Bagan away to use as their ultimate weapon in their invasion of Earth (see below in this timeline)
790-794 AD
A being from another dimension takes the form of a girl named Kaya who had drowned. The false Kaya grows to adulthood quickly, and her beauty attracts the attention of 3 suitors, who she sends to gather treasures throughout the land. However, before any of them finish, Kaya is returned to her home dimension.
1944
A Japanese Garrison on Lagos Island is unintentionally saved from American forces by a Godzillasaurus, which is mortally wounded by american battleships. After the garrison bid a tearful farewell to the dinosaur, time travelers from the year 2204 arrive in this time period and transport the Godzillasaurus to the Bering Sea, where they hoped it would die. And in its place, they leave behind 3 genetically engineered creatures called DORATS.
1945
A secret Japanese research laboratory creates an armored super soldier dubbed the MIKADROID. However, American firebombing forces the scientists behind the project to flee along with the 2 other super soldiers that were created. Mikadroid is presumed destroyed.
1946 to 1949
Nuclear testing in the islands near Lagos mutates the Dorats into a new King Ghidorah over the course of 48 years. These tests also mutate other hibernating muan dinosaurs into kaiju, including Rodan and Baby Godzilla/Little Godzilla/Godzilla Junior, who wouldn't make their presence known to the world until 1994.
1954
The Castle Bravo Hydrogen bomb test mutates the Godzillasaurus from Lagos island, who had made his way near the test site, into the 50 meter monster GODZILLA. After appearing on Odo island, Godzilla destroys a pleasure cruise and storms through Tokyo, being unfazed by the JSDF's best weapons. Ultimately, he is injured and forced into hibernation by the Oxygen Destroyer, whose creator, Daisuke Serizawa, chose to die to prevent his weapon from being used by governments.
This incident was also recorded by American journalist Steve Martin, who was injured in the onslaught.
1984
Godzilla awakens and destroys a fishing vessel, and then a soviet nuclear submarine, causing him to grow to 80 meters. Although the Japanese government tried to cover this up at first, the Soviet sub's destruction leading to the threat of nuclear war forces them to reveal the truth. Godzilla soon attacks Tokyo and fights the Super X military vehicle. Ultimately, he is lured to Mount Mihara and trapped in the volcano. Steve Martin and various American officials observed these events.
Shortly afterwards, the American company Bio-Major attempts to claim Godzilla's cells, but they are stolen by an agent from the middle eastern country of Saradia. The Saradians then contact biologist Genshiro Shiragami and request him to use Godzilla's cells to give them fertile plantlife, making them a superpower. However, Bio-major then bombs his laboratory, destroying the G-cells and killing Shiragami's daughter Erika. Afterwards, he goes into isolation.
1989
Godzilla begins to stir within Mount Mihara, causing the JSDF to enlist the aid of Doctor Shiragami to create anti-nuclear energy bacteria (Or ANEB for short) to kill Godzilla. Shiragami agrees, but only if he got some G-cells for himself. He receives them, but ends up creating the 85 meter plant kaiju BIOLLANTE after slicing them with his daughter's flower. A botched ransoming with Bio-Major causes Godzilla to be freed, and he battles Biollante, then being infected by the ANEB. He finally fights the 120 meter final form Biollante in Wakasa bay, defeating her before collapsing into the sea.
1990
The Mikadroid awakens in the basement of the disco club Layla, which was built over the facility where he had been built. Mikadroid begins killing everyone in the club, and is confronted by the other two super soldiers. All 3 are ultimately destroyed.
The same year, Biollante's spores released after her battle with Godzilla enter a black hole and create the monster SPACEGODZILLA, who begins making his way to Earth.
1992
Time travelers arrive from the year 2204 and claim that Godzilla would be killed in the 21st century, but in the process Japan would be destroyed. To stop it, they go back in time to Lagos island in 1944 alongside 3 others, and transport the Godzillasaurus away, leaving the Dorats. (King Ghidorah I had been the Futurians first attempt at creating a dai-kaiju that had been deemed too rebellious and was sent to die with the dinosaurs, but they overshot the target date.)
When they return to 1992, the 150 meter King Ghidorah is unleashed on Japan, and in the government's attempt to bring back Godzilla to stop him, they end up curing him of the ANEB and growing him to 100 meters. After Godzilla kills Ghidorah, he begins rampaging himself. To stop him, the turncoat Futurian Emmy Kano heads back to 2204 and uses King Ghidorah's remains to turn him into the cyborg MECHA-KING GHIDORAH. MKG manages to contain Godzilla and fly him out to sea before being destroyed.
After detecting the use of time travel on Earth, the Xillians decide to send their monster MONSTER X to the planet, encasing it in a meteor and shooting it off, with it set to arrive by 1999.
1993
Early in this year, the planet's "Masculine" lifeforce responds to the damage done to Earth's biosphere by human pollution by awakening Battra to destroy the human race, and in response the "Feminine" aspect summons up a new Mothra. Moll and Lora, now having taken the names of the Cosmos civilization, were now merely vessels for Mothra who shared one consciousness, and lived on the empty Infant island.
Godzilla is also aroused from his sleep by a meteor crashing into him, and marches to Japan, encountering Mothra and Battra in their larval stages on the way there. Once he arrives he attacks Yokohama and then an amusement park there, nearly killing Batrra until he's saved by Mothra. The two team up and manage to defeat Godzilla, but Battra dies in the process. Afterwards, the Cosmos merge with Mothra and guide her to stop Monster X's meteor, which had originally been Battra's mission.
Months later, the United Nations forms G-force, a military organization specifically designed to destroy Godzilla and any other kaiju that may appear. They salvage the wreckage of Mecha-King Ghidorah, and their first creation with it, an aerial vehicle dubbed the Garuda, is deemed insufficient, much to the chagrin of its creator, Kazuma Aoki.
1994
G-force completes their second project, the 120 meter tall robot MECHAGODZILLA. A few months later, a scientific expedition to the irradiated Adoana island discovers what appeared to be an irradiated Pteranodon egg, and a 70 meter Pterosaur kaiju dubbed RODAN. Before Rodan can attack the scientists, Godzilla appears, seeking the egg. The two get into a brief scuffle, allowing the researchers to escape with the egg.
Soon after the scientists return to Japan, the egg hatches into an infant Godzillasaurus named Baby Godzilla. The baby ends up imprinting on one of the researchers, Azusa Gojo. Meanwhile, Rodan, having absorbed the power of Godzilla's atomic breath, turns into the mighty FIRE RODAN, now able to shoot a beam of his own. Both sensing the child, Godzilla and Fire Rodan head toward Japan to retrieve him.
Godzilla and Mechagodzilla battle in the Suzuka mountain range, and while the Mechanical titan manages to fell his organic counterpart, Godzilla manages to defeat him by overloading him. Afterwards, Mechagodzilla is modified to combine with the Garuda, and scientists discover a second brain in Baby Godzilla's hip, most likely possessed by Godzilla as well.
A plan to kill Godzilla by exploiting this is created and dubbed Operation G-crusher. Baby Godzilla is used as bait to lure Godzilla out, but his transport is intercepted by Fire Rodan. Mechagodzilla goes to stop him, and after a short battle manages to grievously wound the great kaiju of the sky.
Godzilla then appears to battle, and the Garuda combines with Mechagodzilla to create SUPER MECHAGODZILLA. With its greater level of firepower, Mechagodzilla overcomes the kaiju king, successfully destroying his second brain and killing him. Afterwards, Mechagodzilla blasts Fire Rodan one more time as he was making one last ditch attempt to "save" Baby Godzilla.
Fire Rodan lands on top of Godzilla's corpse, dissolving as his internal uranium packets rupture. Godzilla's body voraciously absorbs this feast, bringing the kaiju king back to life, reconstituting his second brain, and allowing him to temporarily obtain his 'Super Godzilla' incarnation, where his power level is greatly augmented for a time. Super Godzilla clashes with Super Mechagodzilla, and the organic kaiju destroys his mechanical counterpart.
Afterwards, Baby Godzilla is convinced to go with Godzilla, and the two kaiju leave.
1995
Spacegodzilla arrives in Earth's solar system as the humans enact project T, a plan to take control of Godzilla and make sure he never attacks again. This plan occurs on Birth island, where Godzilla and his now 30 meter son Little Godzilla resided. As a backup plan, G-force uses the 23rd century technology still in their possession to create another 120 meter tall robot called M.O.G.E.R.A.
Spacegodzilla soon arrives on Birth island after defeating M.O.G.E.R.A near Mars, easily defeating Godzilla and kidnapping Little Godzilla. The space dai-kaiju then heads to Fukkuoka, creating several large crystalline structures to siphon energy from Earth and power himself up. However, he is met with a joint assault from Godzilla and M.O.G.E.R.A.
After a long and exhaustive battle, Godzilla manages to destroy Spacegodzilla by metabolizing particles of cosmic radiation, which allows him to morph into his 'Super Godzilla' incarnation. However, M.O.G.E.R.A was destroyed in the battle to save the Earth.
The territorial dispute resolved in his favor, Godzilla heads back to Birth island, intent on returning to his son.
1996
Early in this year, Mothra finally arrives at Monster X's asteroid, and manages to deflect it. However, due to how powerful Monster X was, Mothra is forced to use most of her life force to do this, and separates Moll and Lora's souls from hers, allowing them to regain their individuality. Afterwards, Mothra returns to Infant island and lays her egg, ready to spend her final days in peace.
Later, uranium pockets in Birth island are ignited by Godzilla's radioactive heart, causing the island to explode. Little Godzilla is mutated into the 40 meter and battle capable GODZILLA JUNIOR, and Godzilla, being overloaded with power, turns into BURNING GODZILLA, growing to his maximum achievable height of 120 meters, emitting a fiery incandescence and smoke, and now having a more powerful red atomic breath.
Both monsters flee the devastated Birth island, and a confused and pained Godzilla attacks Hong Kong, destroying hundreds.
G-force soon discovers Godzilla's affliction, and realizes that once his meltdown occurred, he could create a china syndrome effect that could render Japan uninhabitable. Kenichi Yamane, the grandson of a Doctor Yamane who studied Godzilla's first attack on Japan 42 years prior, suggests using the Oxygen Destroyer to fell the monster king, although all of the notes had been destroyed.
However, the Oxygen destroyer had revived and mutated a colony of crustaceans, who awakened in Tokyo bay, attacking people. A swat team is sent to deal with the two meter crustacean kaiju, who while impervious to bullets, are susceptible to flamethrowers. These kaiju are later dubbed DESTOROYAH (romanized in american press reports as destroyer)
Meanwhile, Godzilla attacks a power plant in Okinawa, but is intercepted by the Super X3, which manages to cool him down and delay his meltdown. Meanwhile, Destoroyah merges into one 40 meter beast to combat the military. With no options left, and knowing that Godzila's meltdown would still render Japan uninhabitable, G-force plans to lure Junior to Destoroyah so that Godzilla would follow, and both would be killed.
G-force's psychics, Miki Saegusa and Meru Ozawa, are tasked with luring Junior to Destoroyah, but ultimately have to be saved by him from Destoroyah's wrath. Despite his inexperience in combat, Junior manages to defeat Destoroyah with a point-blank blast of atomic breath. Afterwards, Godzilla, having responded to Junior's psychic "distress" calls, meets him in Haneda airport.
However, Destoroyah soon returns, having metabolized the radiation of Junior's atomic breath and used it to transform into a 140 meter monstrosity. Destoroyah kills Godzilla Junior and then engages in battle with the adult. Although Destoroyah proved to be one of Godzilla's most formidable adversaries, he was unable to kill the kaiju king thanks to his high temperature, which Destoroyah was weak too.
The crustacean kaiju attempts to flee, but is killed by the Super-X3's maser cannons before it could leave Japan. Afterwards, Godzilla's temperature reaches its zenith, and the kaiju king begins to melt down. As freezer cannons prevent the 'china syndrome', the great Godzilla disappears into nothingness.
When Yamane states that Godzilla's meltdown would still probably render Tokyo uninhabitable, the radiation levels suddenly begin to drop, and Godzilla Junior is seen, having been revived by his father's radiation and transformed into a new 50 meter Godzilla, who then heads into the sea.
3 days later, a Hokkaido mining company discovers the seal of Elias, and the head of the company takes it to his home to give to his children. Belvera reappears, attempting to take to seal to revive Desghidorah. She controls the site director's daughter and ties up his wife, but Moll and Lora soon appear riding a fairy Mothra that Mothra had created, and engage Belvera and her robotic dragon Garu-Garu in a dog fight.
Belvera manages to get the amulet, and after the Elias tell the story of Desghidorah to the kids, they head to where Deghidorah was sealed. However, they are too late as Desghidorah is freed. This forces Moll and Lora to summon Mothra, who ends up being dominated by the evil dragon. This forces Mothra's son, Mothra Leo, to hatch early to save his mother.
Leo tries to fight Desghidorah, but ends up having to be saved by his mother, who is forced to destroy a dam and wash Desghidorah away. She carries her son out to sea, but ultimately succumbs to her injuries and sinks into the ocean. Afterwards, Leo heads to the 10,000 year old Jomonsuji tree, building his cocoon around it as Desghidorah grows stronger and creates poisonous life sucking smog.
Mothra Leo eventually hatches out of his cocoon, flies to Desghidorah, and easily dominates him. After a withering barrage of beam attacks, Desghidorah is sealed away once again, and Belvera is let go. Afterwards, Mothra Leo and the Elias return to Infant island, Leo healing the forest.
1997
Dagarla reawakens and begins spreading Barem in the Okinawan waters. Meanwhile, school children discover Ghogo (a creature created by the Nilai Kanai that had been intended to stop Dagarla before the city had sank) which Belvera tries to steal in order to gain the secret treasure of Nilai Kanai. Moll and Lora save the children and explain the situation and the story of the Nilai Kanai civilization.
The kids search for the temple, and manage to discover it. As the kids and Belvera's brainwashed henchmen search for the treasure, Dagarla attacks Okinawa, forcing the Elias to summon Mothra to stop him. While Mothra does well at first, Dagarla's barem end up leaving him on the verge of death.
Meanwhile in the temple, the kids, the Elias and the henchmen find a hologram of the last ruler of Nilai Kanai, who reveals that Ghogo was the treasure. The small creature ends up sacrificing himself to turn Mothra into Rainbow Mothra, removing the barem. Rainbow Mothra manages to defeat Dagarla, and the temple sinks back into the ocean.
1998
Belvera attempts to steal the Elias triangle, an ancient powerful artifact. Belvera claims one piece of the triangle, while Moll and Lora get another half. Shortly afterwards, the now 60 meter King Ghidorah I returns to Earth and kidnaps several Japanese school children, placing them in a dome to siphon their energy.
Rainbow Mothra is summoned to stop him, but proves no match. Moll and Lora attempt to distract Ghidorah, but the space dai-kaiju places Lora under his control, who attempts to tackle Moll into the dome, only for Moll to be saved by Fairy Mothra. Shortly afterwards, Rainbow Mothra tells Moll that the only way to defeat Ghidorah was to travel to the past, when he was significantly weaker.
Moll sings to power his journey at the cost of her life. As Rainbow Mothra is dominated by a young Ghidorah, Lora is freed from control, and sings to empower Rainbow Mothra, allowing him to drop Ghidorah into a volcano. While Ghidorah and the dome do vanish initially, Ghidorah quickly reappears, having regrown from a piece of tail Rainbow Mothra had shot off 65,000,000 years prior.
Thankfully, Rainbow Mothra quickly emerges out of his cocoon, now having evolved into ARMOR MOTHRA. Armor Mothra tanks everything Ghidorah throws at him, and ultimately flies through him, causing him to crystallize and explode. Afterwards, Armor Mothra's armor shatters, revealing ETERNAL MOTHRA. He then combines his power with the Elias triangle to revive Moll.
The freed children rush to be reunited with their parents, and Belvera departs, never to be seen again. Afterwards, Mothra and the Elias return to Infant island. This would be the last battle this Mothra fought, and the final time a Mothra would be seen until 2032. (see below in this timeline)
1999
Mankind is attacked by the Nilai Kanai space colony, who use their advanced technology to clone King Ghidorah I (who the press called Grand King Ghidorah) as well as Biollante and Battra. They also create their own Mechagodzilla after humanity's version. (This Mechagodzilla resembled the one from the showa universe, but Japanese press reports claimed it to look like G-force's Mechagodzilla)
To counter this, the Japanese government locates the new Godzilla at the bottom of the sea, and equips the Super-X3 with the bird call device used to lure his 'father' to Mount Mihara in 1984. Using this and an operation box created by a professor Ogata to directly control the kaiju king, the crew of the Super-X3 direct him to the enemy monsters. (The operation box enabled more complex commands to be given and was a direct controlling outlet)
The first dai-kaiju fought by Godzilla is Grand King Ghidorah in Osaka. The two beasts clash right in front of the tsutenkaku tower, and Godzilla ultimately triumphs, blasting off one of Grand King Ghidorah's heads with his atomic breath. However, the 3 headed beast's body is then claimed by an 'alien' spacecraft, whose pilot taunts the humans before leaving.
The head of Grand King Ghidorah blasted off by Godzilla is brought to G-force's labs for study, as the monster king is sent to Mount Fuji to halt an attack on a G-force base by the invaders. After destroying several of their aircraft, Godzilla comes face to face with what appeared to be himself. However, after only one hit, this imposter was revealed to be the invader's Mechagodzilla.
(The section with Fake Godzilla was omitted by Japanese press reports, as was this Mechagodzilla looking different than G-force's Mechagodzilla, see above)
After this Mechagodzilla was destroyed, Professor Ogata is captured by the invaders, and Godzilla is sent to their base at Lake Ashino to rescue him. The professor is quickly saved, and Godzilla ends up confronting the clone Biollante in the lake. After an extremely tough battle, Godzilla triumphs over Biollante.
Afterwards, Professor Ogata injects Godzilla with Grand King Ghidorah's cells in order to power him up. This gives Godzilla a sizable buff in power, and doubles his size to 100 meters, but the professor believes there to be more secrets hidden in the cells.
Godzilla is then sent to Yokohama bay to fight the Battra clone along with several 'alien' UFOs. Thanks to the power up granted to him by Grand King Ghidorah's cells, the new King of kaiju triumphs over the black Mothra even easier than his father did. However, as he leaves, he encounters another Battra clone, this time a larva. However, this clone is easily dispatched too.
(It's unknown why Eternal Mothra didn't aid Godzilla in these battles, but a possibility is that he knew Godzilla was being controlled by the humans, and didn't want to get involved unless Godzilla was overpowered)
After the battle with Battra, Tokyo is attacked by the Grand King Ghidorah clone, who had been resurrected as a new Mecha-King Ghidorah. In order to give Godzilla a better chance against the new MKG, the monster king is sent to 3 super energy banks to pump him with enough energy to supercharge the Ghidorah cells in him.
When Godzilla reaches Tokyo, he first destroys the alien's mothership, meaning they could no longer rely on their UFOs. He then fights Mecha-King Ghidorah, being evenly matched with the mechanical monster. Thanks to his superior fighting technique, Godzilla wins, but the aliens then reveal their ultimate weapon: Bagan, who was reverted to an energy form and had formed a 'cocoon' around himself, building up energy.
(Bagan had also been powered up by being injected with both Godzilla and Grand King Ghidorah's cells before the battle)
Realizing that Godzilla would be no match for Bagan once he revealed his physical form, the crew of the Super-X3 send Godzilla to receive the super energy bank, and absorbing it causes him to evolve into his 'Super Godzilla' incarnation. However, this power was much different than his father's. (The Ghidorah cells had supercharged the Super Godzilla state, granting Godzilla a bigger power boost, a slight height boost, and an appearance oddly resembling Spacegodzilla)
The control box also begins to reach its limit, making Godzilla incapable of leaving Tokyo. Once Godzilla makes his way back to Bagan's energy form, it transforms into its physical form, and the two beasts engage in a final battle. This titanic battle, which even surpassed Burning Godzilla and Destoroyah's battle in 1996, is ended when Godzilla pools all of his energy into his navel, firing a beam which completely evaporates Bagan.
Afterwards, the last of the invader's spaceships are shot down by the Super-X3. Godzilla reverts to normal, his immune system removing the Ghidorah DNA and making it so that unless he was injected with Ghidorah cells again, he would never again tap into the evolved Super Godzilla form. (although he did keep his 100 meter height)
With both the control box and the Bird call device having been destroyed in the battle with Bagan, Godzilla returns to the sea, free from human control. Humanity is left to contemplate whether the kaiju king would return as an enemy or not.
Shortly after these events, the Super-X3 is decommissioned and replaced with the Super-X4, which is nicknamed the Gotengo. The name ends up sticking.
2002
Godzilla is discovered to have made a new home in the arctic, and the Gotengo is sent to kill him alongside several maser cannons.
Godzilla very nearly manages to destroy the Gotengo, but it manages to trap Godzilla in ice, young crew member Douglas Gordon being the one to fire the shot that trapped the kaiju king.
This places the monster in a cold-induced suspended animation that would last for the next 30 years, humanity believing that it had won, and they would never face a kaiju attack again.
2005
The Cybortech company builds a heavily advanced robotics facility on a small, volcanic pacific island dubbed 8J0. The facility is controlled by the most powerful computer in history, Cyron-5, which maintains the facility autonomously for the next 20 years.
2005-2025
Over the next 20 years, extensive warfare, nuclear testing and pollution awakens and mutates all of the muan's other genetically engineered ultra dinosaurs, and even creates new ones. These monsters proceed to attack Japan periodically over the next several decades. To counter them, all of Earth's nations establish the Earth Defense Force. They also gradually forget the distinction between the 2 Godzillas, seeing them both as the same creature.
In addition, the descendants of the Xillian scout party (see above in this timeline) are discovered and dubbed the mutants. They are incorporated into a special unit dubbed the M-organization.
2025
Cyron-5 deems humanity unnecessary, and begins a genocidal campaign against them. The conflict only lasts a year. At the end of it, a group of GUNHED robots (Gun Unit Heavy Elimination Device) is sent to stop Cyron-5, however, its guardian, the Aerobot, easily defeats the Gunheds and throws their remains in the scrap yard.
The conflict doesn't have a clear victor, but humanity decides to leave 8J0 alone. It would be 13 years before anyone discovered the base's survival. (see below on this timeline)
The same year, the Xillians begin preparing for another attack on Earth, inserting their M-base gene into the monsters so they could control them, as well as sending Monster X's meteor again.
2026
Sensing the approach of Monster X and the Xillians beginning their plan, Moll and Lora decide to remerge with Mothra, becoming the Cosmos once again. By this time, Eternal Mothra had passed away and had reincarnated similar to Battra, but chose a female form so another Mothra could be born after this one died.
The Super-X5, or "New Gotengo'' is also constructed this year along with 3 sister ships: The Eclair, the Karyu, and the Rumbling.
2032
Gigan's mummified body is discovered by the EDF, who transport him to a facility for study. At the same time, the Gotengo, piloted by Douglas Gordon, engages the serpent kaiju MANDA in the ocean. While Manda does manage to constrict the new Gotengo, Gordon flies close to an underwater volcano, forcing Manda to get off of it, and then freezing him with their new absolute zero cannon and shattering him.
However, Gordon ends up being court martialed for his volcano strategy. Shortly afterwards, mutant Gotengo crew member Shinichi Ozaki is assigned to guard UN biologist Miyuki Otonashi, who had been assigned to investigate Gigan. Once they arrive, they learn that Gigan had the same M-base as the mutants (Due to him having been created by the Xillians)
The Cosmos then appear to the researchers and Ozaki, and explain the story of Gigan's battle with Mothra that occurred shortly before the fall of the Cosmos civilization. (see above in this timeline)
They also warn that the Mutants had the potential to become evil as well, but it was ultimately their choice. They then vanish, leaving behind a dagger. Soon afterwards, a plane containing the Japanese prime minister on it is destroyed by the second Rodan, who then attacks New York City. At the same time, all of Earth's other monsters suddenly begin attacking all of Earth's major cities.
The EDF scrambles their forces to fight them, but as the battles rage, the kaiju are suddenly teleported away. At the same time, a spaceship appears in the sky, and deposits what seemed to be the alive and well Japanese prime minister. The aliens then reveal themselves as the Xillians, and claim to be there to warn humanity of an incoming threat worse than any kaiju, a runaway star called Gorath that was heading straight for Earth.
The Xillians become celebrities for being the first alien life to make genuine contact with humanity and (seemingly) not try to kill them. In particular, the second in command, who simply called himself X (as his real name was unpronounceable in the human tongue) became incredibly popular with teenage girls due to his emo appearance.
However, it is soon discovered that the XIlians had replaced the head of the EDF and the Japanese Prime minister with Xillian agents. In addition, they discover that "Gorath" was nothing more than a hologram created by the Xillians to fool humanity into trusting them.
In order to stop the XIllians, Ozaki gets Gordon, who had been suspended after punching his superior officer in the face. Gordon ends up killing an Xillian and bringing it in during a press conference, exposing the Xillian's plan to the world. With their plan in tatters, X executes the Xillian leader and takes control of the entire operation, taking control of all the mutants except Ozaki.
(The reason why X didn't take control of Ozaki because they were both powerful mutant variants called Keizers, and Ozaki's power hadn't fully developed yet)
The heroes manage to escape, and Ozaki defeats his rival Kazama in a bike fight. Afterwards, X unleashes all of the mind controlled monsters, including a reawakened Gigan. The EDF is devastated, and the Gotengo heads to free Godzilla. Gigan is sent to stop them, but the Gotengo manages to succeed in its mission. Godzilla, now reawakened, quickly makes short work of Gigan.
He is then lured by the Gotengo to the other monsters, still believing their fight to be going on. Godzilla's battle at Mount Fuji against the monsters Rodan II, ANGUIRUS and KING CAESAR is witnessed by MINILLA, a mutated Godzillasaurus child who had just hatched and had befriended a young boy and his father.
Godzilla eventually reaches Tokyo as the shield to the XIllian mothership is destroyed, a freed Kazama sacrificing himself to take down the shield. However, the Xillians then beam in and kill most of the crew. The survivors are taken to the mothership, where X explains that they needed to harvest humans for their mitochondria.
At the same time, the real Gorath, Monster X's meteor, rockets towards Earth. Godzilla destroys the meteor, but Monster X emerges and the two begin to fight. Mothra appears to help Godzilla, but X sends the reconstructed and powered up Gigan after her. Gigan overpowers Mothra, but she tricks him into severing his own head, then kamikazing into him, killing them both.
Meanwhile, Godzilla and Monster X are evenly matched in their battle, as Ozaki finally activates his Keizer powers and defeats X, and the Xillian mothership explodes, the surviving Gotengo crew escaping. Afterwards, Monster X transforms into his true form, KEIZER GHIDORAH. (Monster X and Desghidorah were both genetically engineered bioweapons made by the Xillians, but Desghidorah went rogue.)
Using his Anti-gravity beams and incredible power, Keizer Ghidorah is able to easily stomp around Godzilla. Seeing this, Ozaki uses the Gotengo's maser cannon to transfer some of his Keizer energy to Godzilla, allowing him to morph into his 'Super Godzilla' incarnation. However, without Ghidorah cells, this was more like his father's version.
After the battle, Godzilla shoots down the Gotengo and prepares to kill the crew, but luckily for them, Minilla arrives and convinces Godzilla to let go of his hatred for the human race, and spare the crew of the Gotengo. Godzilla then heads out to sea with Minilla, and is never seen or heard from again.
2033-2037
A new energy source called Texmexium, which was even more powerful than nuclear energy, is discovered and used to power a new generation of supercomputers. However, the depletion of natural resources causes scarcity in the materials needed to build the computers. As a result, computer chips become more valuable than gold, and a new type of treasure hunter emerges, eager to earn a fortune.
2038
A group of treasure scavengers stumble across the long abandoned 8J0 facility, and begin scavenging for computer chips. Two of them are killed at the landing pad, and another two are killed on the elevator. The survivors end up encountering Aerobot and barely manage to escape, coming across the remains of one of the Gunhed squadron sent to fight Aerobot in 2025. (See above on this timeline)
The Gunhed explains that Cyron-5 had been waiting for humanity to finish developing Texmexium so it could rule the world with it. The Gunhed is repaired and brought back online, and manages to clear out the obstacles Cyron-5 had created. However, it is still no match for Aerobot. Luckily, the humans manage to destroy it, and then escape the island as Cyron-5 self-destructs.
The 21st century
It's known that during the rest of the 21st century in this timeline, Japan became the dominant economic world power, its influence affecting the entire planet. At some point after the final destruction of Cyron-5, the EDF is taken one step further, and all of Earth's nations join into a single Earth Union to combat Japan's dominance.
2204
By this time period, mankind had developed highly advanced technology, including human looking androids, plasma weapons, teleportation systems, sophisticated holographic technologies, and even time travel.
At some point in this year, 3 renegade humans named Chuck Wilson, Glen Chiko, and Emmy Kano, along with an android designated M-11, steal the experimental time machine MOTHER, and enact a plan to prevent Japan from becoming an economic superpower. However, they didn't know that time travel operated on the time loop theory, and that these events already happened.
They also steal a few less advanced android guards, and take 3 genetically engineered creatures called Dorats with them, which had been created from the DNA of Grand King Ghidorah and Keizer Ghidorah. The scheming Wilson and Glen also didn't tell Emmy of their plans to destroy Japan, something she wouldn't agree to since it was her native land.
As mentioned above in this timeline, this plan was foiled after they traveled back in time when Emmy realized their true intentions during the course of their extra-temporal mission.
And so ends the Toho heisei universe timeline.
