Home Invasion

"Okay, this is where the tracker is broadcasting from," Momo said quietly as they watched the abandoned building.

"That's thrie hideout?" Eijiro asked. "Not a bad one, I guess."

"Maybe it is, maybe it isn't," Momo said. "According to the tracking history, the villain hasn't left this location for the past day. But that's all we know. One villain is hiding here, but that could be it. They could have Bakugo somewhere else."

"They could also have discovered the tracking device in the Nomu's back and cut it out," Lee said. "And they could go real stereotypical and have this be the surface level with the rest of the hideout underground. Recon is impossible, and we need to be ready for traps. I don't expect this place to lack any security systems, either."

"So what you're saying is that we're going to be captured."

"What I'm saying is that we need to be ready for things to go south," Lee said. "Also, I expect there's probably more than one Nomu here. As I said before, I'm pretty sure they're not people, at least not anymore, and are being manufactured by someone as living weapons."

"It's possible," Momo nodded.

"So then we should be extra careful," Todoroki said.

"I don't like this," Iida said. "None of us are good at sneaking around. We need Hagakure or Jiro here. If I think things are going to be the least bit dangerous, we're done. I won't hesitate to call the police, either, to make sure my friends are safe."

"Iida, this is dangerous," Lee said. "We're planning to sneak into a villain organization's hideout. Nothing about this is safe. Ever. Being a pro hero isn't safe. If you're going to threaten to rat us all out because it's dangerous, then you should leave now, because the moment we take a step toward that door, we're in even more danger than walking around in this city. As for sneaking around, it's all a matter of shadow, timing, and stepping lightly. For you especially, stick to the edges of a room."

"So, what can we do with what's in front of us?" Midoriya mused, beginnign to mutter to himself. "Let me see here. The prerequisite is that we don't use our Quirks to fight the villains, and on top of that we need to figure out how..."

"It's been a while since I've seen him this weird," Eijiro said.

"Yeah, this is truly peak Midoriya," Momo agreed.

"But he's also the one among us most likely to come up with a feasible initial plan," Lee said. "It won't make it past the first villain we encounter, battle or no, but for an initial plan, he's got this."

"Come with me," Lee said, everyone looking at him. "There's a vending machine closer that we can use to get a closer look at the entrance. Plus I want a drink."

They followed him to the machine, everyone looking around as Lee got himself a drink, Legacy reporting everything he saw, reaffirming that he was right. The door was unused, the weeds in front of it thick and overgrown from not being stepped on. If there was a way in, it wasn't the door. Just then, a pair of intoxicated men staggered over and stopped, a shorter bald one grinning at Momo.

"Hey," he said, barely on his feet. "You lookin for a real man darlin?"

"I'm good!" Momo said, voice high and panicked.

"Why don't you ditch these losers and come drink with us?" he grinned, only for his taller friend with horns to smack him in the back of his head.

"Come on, don't go picking fights," his friend said.

Midoriya and Iida began to yell at the two, but Lee simply pulled his two cans of iced coffee out of the machine and snaked an arm around Momo's waist, partially possessively, and partially to get her to stop panicking and follow him.

"Let's go, guys," Lee said.

"Right," Todoroki nodded as they walked away.

They stopped in an alleyway out of the way of through traffic, and away from the two drunk men, and Lee sighed, releasing Momo, who leaned on his shoulder.

"That was uncomfortable," Momo said.

"You handled it well," Lee said.

"It's not crowded, but there are people around," Todoroki said as Lee opened his first coffee and took a sip.

"We can't draw attention to ourselves, so what's our next move?" Momo asked.

"Let's go around the back," Midoriya said. "It might be our best chance to get some solid intel on this place."

The others agreed and Lee finished his first coffee, following the others to a narrow gap between the wall around the warehouse they were trying to get into and the one beside it. They began to slide through one after the other, Lee taking the back, just behind Momo.

"This is so narrow," Momo said quietly, voice strained from trying to squeeze between the walls. "I might get stuck!"

"Just keep moving," Midoriya said. "We have to figure out what's happening inside. No one'll see us from back here." He stopped suddenly, looking up. "There! We should be able to get a look from that window!"

"We'll be blind in the darkness," Todoroki said.

"I can do it," Lee said. "My sister left an...upgrade for my neural implant. It lets me see in infrared."

"Okay," Todoroki said. "Can you get up there?"

"Yeah," Lee said. "But I'm going to need someone to brush my suit off after this."

"We have more important things to worry about than your suit!" Iida hissed.

"Hey, I really like this suit," Lee said, beginning to shimmy up the wall in front and behind himself.

"I'll go with him," Eijiro said. "I actually brought a night-vision scope for this."

"Really?" Midoriya asked. "I thought those models were super expensive. I thought about them when I was designing my suit, but they cost like fifty thousand, don't they?"

"Whatever man, don't worry about it," Eijiro said.

"Hold on," Todoroki said. "If Kirishima can serve as the scout, I'd prefer to have Lee with us. Midoriya can be Kirishima's back up. Lee should stay with us since he's fastest and can see in the dark inside if we need it to, as well as use his speed to cause distractions if necessary."

"Good thinking," Lee said, dropping back tot he ground. "Good luck you two."

Kirishima and Midoriya both nodded and began to climb. Iida and Todoroki lifted the two up onto their shoulders carefully, and Eijiro looked inside, only to gasp, nearly falling backward.

"What is it?" Todoroki asked. "You weren't spotted, were you?"

"Back left, by the door," Eijiro said, handing Midoriya the night vision device.

"No way," Midoriya breathed. "Are those all...Nomu?"

"How many?" Lee asked.

"At least a dozen," Midoriya said. "Maybe more. They're in some kind of tanks with tubs going in and only their brains sticking out of whatever fluid they're in."

Just then, a truck off to the side began to rise, and Lee's eyes widened.

"Hey!" Eijiro said, getting Midoriya's attention.

Lee wrapped an arm around Momo, preparing to get her out of the tiny alley they were in if he needed to, eyes returning to the truck just in time for Legacy to highlight a foot in the truck's bed before it moved out of sight behind the building.

"Oh shit," Lee hissed, pulling his mask out of his suit jacket. "Mt. Lady is here!"

Then, the heroine in question smashed her truck-covered foot down onto the hideout, obliterating the back door and nearly blowing Midoriya and Eijiro away, since they weren't hidden behind the wall, though the wind was back between the walls, too. Once the wind died down, Lee turned to the others.

"We need to get out of here!" he hissed. "If we're caught here, we're fucked!"

"Whoa!" Eijiro said, looking in the window again. "Best Jeanist! Gang Orca! Even Mister Tiger is here!"

"Ugh, are these gross dudes really alive?" Mt. Lady asked. "I thought we'd be in for a fight but this was super easy! Maybe we should have left this to the police and gone with All Might."

"Difficulty and importance are two very different things, rookie," Best Jeanist said. "Riot Squad, get the transports ready! There could be more of them. Be on your guard!"

"Yes sir!" one of the cops said.

"Come on, Ragdoll!" Tiger was saying, Eijiro quickly explaining he was holding the previously missing Pussycat. "Wake up for me!"

"Is that your teammate?" Gang Orca asked. "She's breathing. That's good."

"Yes, but...look at her!" Tiger said. "What have they done to you my friend?"

"Everything's fine," Iida said. "The heroes were on top of this way before we were."

"This is great!" Eijiro said, dropping back to the ground.

"Now then, let's get back home," Iida said. "At least we won't have to explain ourselves."

"It sounded like All Might is somewhere else," Midoriya said. "Does that mean he's rescued Kacchan?"

"If All Might's on the scene, there's no reason for us to worry!" Momo smiled. "Let's go, quick!"

"Right" Todoroki nodded, all of them heading toward the end of the path where they could slip away from the police.

However, Lee stopped after a moment as Legacy warned that something was coming. He'd have to remember to ask her about that, if he survived.

"I'm sorry, Tiger, but Ragdoll's Quirk was so useful," an synthetic male voice said from inside the warehouse, making everyone stop and turn. "I just had to take it. How could I not?"

"Are you with the League?" Gang Orca asked.

"Somebody get us a light!" Tiger said.

"Oh fuck," Lee breathed. "All of you run. Now!" He took off, speeding around to where he could see what's happening.

"Since my body was mostly destroyed, I haven't been able to stock up on Quirks," the voice said as the person speaking began to step into the light wearing a nice suit.

"Stop there!" Gang Orca ordered. "Don't move!"

He stepped into the light and Best Jeanist turned, squeezing a hand and making the sending out threads from his clothes to bind the man.

"Hey!" Mt. Lady said. "You can't attack like that! What if he's just a bystander?"

"Think about the situation!" Best Jeanist said. "A moment of hesitation could decide the fight! We can't let these villains try anything!"

Lee silently prayed that Best Jeanist could handle him. But he knew he couldn't. Sure enough, a moment later, the man's body suddenly bulged, and he broke an arm free instantly, raising it before an explosion suddenly erupted off of the man, levelling a full city block. Lee grit his teeth, remaining in cover on the edge of the blast radius, but putting his mask on anyway.

"I see why you're the number four hero, Best Jeanist," the man said, clapping slowly, now hovering in the air. "That blast should have annihilated the lot of you. But you were able to manipulate everyone's clothing and pull them out of the way just in time. Quick thinking. Consider me...impressed."

"It...wasn't supposed to go like this," Best Jeanist extended spikes of fabric from the back of his costume, beginning to try to push himself up, barely having the strength to move. "But that doesn't matter. A true hero doesn't believe in excuses!"

He sent out dozens of strands of fabric from his clothing to attack the man hovering above the crater he'd formed, only for a blast of what looked like super-compressed air to explode through them, then through Best Jeanist's abdomen, leaving a gaping hole, which sprayed blood as the ground shattered.

"Now I see," the man said, one finger extended down toward Best Jeanist. "Your strength comes from practice and practical experience, not raw power. I don't need your Quirk. It wouldn't pair well with Tomura's disposition."

Lee stared at the man as he sank low enough for the street lights to illuminate his mask. He had a tall, black, metal collar with three silver tubes per side coming out of the front then wrapping back around it, then a slightly lighter mask with the front shaped with the impression of a skull but the eye-holes closed, then four tubes in the top, starting in the front and running backward.

"All For One," Lee growled quietly. "Legacy, are the others okay?"

"Yes," Legacy said. "What do we do?"

"We may have to try to survive fighting him," Lee murmured, peeing out again. "If we do, I need to do whatever you can to give me as much of a chance as you can. We only need to delay him. All Might will be on the way momentarily."

Just then, a black fluid began to spray out of thin air for a moment before falling away, leaving Bakugo standing before the man, coughing and choking.

"What the hell!?" Bakugo demanded.

"It's a teleportation Quirk!" Legacy said.

"My apologies, Bakugo," All For One said.

Just then, more clouds of the black fluid began to appear, the villains from the training camp falling out of them, not including Stitch, Inkling, or Instant. In addition, the one with the burned body as well as the darkness guy with the warp gate Quirk were both unconscious. The lizard, Spinner, began to gag, Himiko Toga, the blonde girl with her hair in a pair of buns on her head who had attacked Su and Uraraka, covered her mouth, looking a bit green.

"It was so gross!" Himiko said.

"This black stuff reeks!" a villain complained in a deep voice, this villain wearing a black bodysuit and a full head covering with the bottom half black like a half-mask and the top half white-grey. Then, his voice turned higher and with a more relaxed lilt, like someone else was speaking. "I love it!"

"That's the villain Twice," Legacy said, this time speaking fast enough that he was only able to understand thanks to the implant processing at enhanced speed as she did. "Real name, Jin Bubaigawara. He has Dissociative Identity Disorder. Two separate personalities."

"Master?" Tomura Shigaraki asked.

"So, you failed once more, Tomura," All For One said, walking over to him. "But you must not be discouraged. You'll try again. That's why I brought your associates back with you. Even this child. Because you judged that he was an important piece on your game board." He offered Tomura his a hand to pull him up from his knees. "Start over as many times as it takes. I am here to provide you with help. All of this is for you."

Legacy, what are the chances we can take everyone except All For One at once? Lee thought, using his Quirk and his neural implant to talk to her fast enough to not miss anything that was happening.

"Low," Legacy replied. "With All For One, you would last maybe a minute. A minute and a half if you were lucky."

Let's hope I'm lucky tonight, then, Lee thought, preparing to step out, only to freeze as Stitch, Inkling, and Instant all walked into view from just down the street.

Lee felt panic rise instantly. How long had they been there? Had they been watching him and his friends? Did they know where Momo and the others were hidden right now? Lee's eyes flicked to the broken wall Momo and the others were still hidden behind. He couldn't risk it. He had to intervene. Now. He stepped out just as All For One's head rose slightly.

"Ah, there you are."
