Preparing

Lee opened his laptop as Mina, Toru, and Momo all knelt on Momo's bed behind him, watching the screen curiously. He wasn't sure why he'd never introduced them before, but he figured he might as well now. "Alright Legacy. Time to say hello, finally."

Legacy appeared on the screen, greeting the girls, who all shrieked in surprise.

"It's Amy!" Mina gasped.

"Not really," Legacy said. "Amy created me with herself as a visual and personality base. She knew she was dying long before she did. So she set to work creating me to help Lee after she was gone. She made me as smart as she could so that I could help design things to help Lee, like she used to. She worked so hard to create me that she ended up burning out her super-genius Quirk, resulting in permanent brain damage. I don't have her Quirk, but she did make me self-aware. A true artificial intelligence. I can feel emotion, I can create new ideas, and I can choose what I want to do. And I want to help Lee."

"Do you have her memories?" Momo asked.

"I do," Legacy said. "I don't know if she wanted me to replace her or not. I know she tried to create a way to upload her intelligence, and her soul, directly into a computer before me, but it proved impossible in the short time she had, so she made me instead."

"It sounds like you were meant to replace her," Momo said. "Did she name you Legacy?"

"I did," Lee said. "I couldn't name her Amy, but she basically was Amy, so I named her Legacy instead."

"It's fitting," Toru said.

"She approved, you know," Legacy said.

"What?" Lee frowned.

"Of you all," Legacy said. "Of the three of you all being with Lee. She figured out that you all cared about him and would eventually end up all being with him after being around you a couple of times. She was really proud of her brother for being so good a person that he'd be able to land three girlfriends."

Lee blushed. "I don't think this is really something we need to discuss right now. Have you come up with any ideas?"

"Wait, she already knows what we want?" Mina asked.

"She's in my phone and neural implant too," Lee said.

"Cool!" Mina grinned. "Although, that's going to make things a little awkward later."

"Moving on!" Lee said immediately, face darkening.

"I think a thick rubber suit might do the trick," Legacy said, a wide grin covering her face, though she didn't tease him, at least not yet. "You'd have to test it but it might work."

"How thick?" Momo asked.

"About five centimeters thick, I think," Legacy said.

"Jesus," Lee groaned. "I'm going to look like Fat Gum."

The girls all laughed, including Legacy, and Lee thanked Legacy, closing the laptop.

"Alright," Momo said, turning away and opening the front of her blouse. "Five centimeters thick it is."

After a moment, a black rubber suit landed on the bed, and Lee grimaced when he saw how much bigger he'd look. Not to mention the fact that the only opening was for his neck. It was going to be a million degrees inside of it. He sighed, running it to his room to put it on, that way he wouldn't have any clothes beneath it, before returning. Once he was back in Momo's room with them, he tapped into his electricity. It flew across his body below the neck in bright blue lightning bolts, but the electric hum it made was no louder than an electric toothbrush. He nodded approvingly and let his electricity end.

"It's going to be exhausting to dance while using my electricity to have an afterimage dancing, string lightning all over the stage, and also work everything backstage," Lee said.

"It'll be worth it," Mina said. "And once you're all sweaty and tired, I'll help you out of the rubber suit so we can take a shower."

"Yeah, no," Lee said. "Nice try."

Mina pouted. "You could at least entertain the fantasy for a little while."

Lee sighed, shaking his head. "Come on. The break's almost over. We'll have to get back to practice soon."

The girls all sighed and nodded, and they all headed back to their various groups.

Lee stretched and twisted, listening to Fumikage practicing the music Kyoka gave them. The show was in about a week and things were getting really close to being ready. Everyone had their music, the dance routine was set and everyone besides Lee was working on it, since Mina would be able to drill it into Lee's head in about a day thanks to his neural implant, and Kyoka had been shut up in her room for about the last two days so she could practice her song in private. However, as Lee reached the top of the stairs on the third floor and glanced toward the girls' side while planning to head to Kaminari's room for his practice, he spotted Kaminari heading around the corner on the girls' side. His eyes widened and he followed quietly, stopping at the corner and watching.

Kaminari pressed his ear to Kyoka's door, listening for a moment, hearing Kyoka sniffing.

"This is stupid!" her voice said quietly. "I can't put on a concert! I can't even remember the words of one stupid song!"

Kaminari knocked on the door, and after a second, she opened the door, giving him a cold, slightly annoyed look. "Are you okay?"

"Fine," Kyoka said, closing the door.

Kaminari sighed, turning to leave, only to stop as he found Lee standing in front of him, arms crossed and an amused smile on his face, one eyebrow raised. He slumped forward, knowing exactly what Lee was going to say. Lee had heard the tremble in Kyoka's voice just like Kaminari had. Kaminari knocked again, and Lee handed him his guitar then left in the blink of an eye.

"Go away, Kaminari," Kyoka said. "You're supposed to be practicing guitar."

"I was wondering if you could help," Kaminari said. "Lee's helping Tokoyami right now."

After a moment of silence, Kyoka opened her door and stepped out of the way. Kaminari walked inside and sat on the floor out of her way as she picked up her guitar and sat on the bed, then stared at him for a moment.

"What?" Kaminari asked.

"Get over here," Kyoka said irritably, patting the bed beside her. "It'll be easier if I need to show you what you're doing wrong."

Kaminari nodded, walking over and sitting on the bed beside her.

"Play," Kyoka said.

Kaminari nodded, beginning to play, dragging behind the tempo, and hesitating. Finally, Kyoka sighed.

"You're dragging," Kyoka said. "You need to be more confident. You'll be nervous on stage playing this. You need to be able to do it without hesitating."

Kaminari nodded, hesitating before picking up her lyrics sheet, scanning it. "How about you sing and I play."

"What?" Kyoka asked, blushing.

"Well, I...heard you saying something about struggling with the lyrics," Kaminari admitted, Kyoka's face darkening. "Maybe, hearing the music will help you. And maybe hearing you sing will help me keep up."

"Why would me singing help you?" Kyoka asked.

"Your voice is so beautiful that its hard to not be calm when you sing," Kaminari said, Kyoka's face going scarlet.

She swallowed hard, hesitating, then nodded, holding out her hand.

"Nope," Kaminari said, grinning. "No lyrics for you, and I'm not going to use the paper either."

"I need them!" Kyoka said.

"No you don't," Kaminari said. "You're amazing, Kyoka. You don't need the lyrics. You want them. You're nervous, for reasons I will never understand, so you want the lyrics to help, but the fact that you're using them is making you feel like you're not good enough. Well, now I'm going to force you to sing without them. That way, you'll hopefully see that you're every bit as amazing as I see you are."

Kyoka's face darkened rapidly, as did Kaminari's. However, after a moment, he began to play from memory, managing to settle into the music and glancing at her. After a moment, she began to sing as well, closing her eyes as the words began to flow. Kaminari smiled, watching her as he played along. After a couple of seconds, she opened her eyes, seeing him watching her and blushing before realizing that she was past where she'd been messing up before. A small smile began to grow on her face, Kaminari smiling knowingly. Finally, they reached the end of the song and she stared at the bed, smiling before it faded and she glared at Kaminari.

"You didn't actually need the help," Kyoka said. "You did just fine."

"I know," Kaminari said. "Lee's a really good teacher."

She glared at him before her cheeks turned pink. "Thanks. You were...right about the lyrics. I just...I want this to be perfect."

"It will be," Kaminari smiled. "We have you singing. How could it be anything less?"

Kyoka blushed. "I'm not that good."

"You're better," Kaminari said. "You're one of the most amazing people I've ever met. You're so talented at everything you do, and this will be no different. You may not think you can do it, but the rest of us all know you can. You're the only one who thinks you're not incredible."

A small smile formed on her lips before she cleared her throat. "I should...get back to practicing. Alone."

"Alright," Kaminari said. "I'll be in my room if you need anything."

Kyoka nodded, he left, closing the door behind himself and making it around the corner before slumping against the wall. Lee chuckled from where he was leaning against the wall at the stairs, having listened to all of it.

"Well played, my friend," Lee chuckled. "Well played. Once the concert's a huge success, you might actually be able to get a kiss."

"Just don't," Kaminari warned. "I'm having a hard enough time finding the guts for what I've been able to do as is."

Lee shrugged. "I'm heading to dance practice. You and Fumikage basically have the music down. Really the only other thing to work on is your stage presence, which you need a stage for, but I'm sure you'll both be fine with that. Fumikage's a natural, and you're a natural showboat."

Kaminari rolled his eyes and Lee turned, walking away, out toward the back yard where Mina was drilling everyone on the dance routing.

Lee slowed to a stop finally, panting and wiping sweat from his entire head, the rest of the class cheering and applauding. Lee waved them off and stood, picking up le last of twelve water bottles he'd figured out he'd need to make it through the entire song while using his lightning to dance and run around the steel overhead they'd be setting up inside the gym for spotlights and such. Once he'd finished with the bottle, he turned to Mina, who nodded approvingly.

"Very well done," Mina said. "Alright everybody, we'll take a break here. Kaminari, would you mind giving Lee a jumpstart?"

Kaminari nodded, walking over and setting a hand on Lee's shoulder before electrocuting him, allowing Lee to absorb the electricity to replenish his own supply.

"Thanks," Lee said, again wiping his face. "I'm going to go start dinner, and eat something so I don't pass out."

"Okay!" Mina smiled, bouncing over to him and giving him a kiss. "See you soon!"

Lee smiled, kissing her again before leaving the gym and heading back to the dorm. He grabbed some left overs from the fridge and ate them while he began to cook. He had known it would be exhausting to do, but he hadn't really expected it to take him to the brink of a coma every time. If nothing else, it was excellent training.

"Hey, you're back!" Momo smiled, walking over and wrapping her arms around his abdomen, kissing him on the cheek. "How'd it look?"

"Honestly, I think it'll work out," Lee smiled. "Mina's putting everyone through their paces. With her in charge of dancing, everyone's going to be great. And I think Kaminari's actually done well at trying to win over Kyoka."

"I agree," Momo said. "She's finally being open with me about her feelings for him, so I think I'm just about ready to convince her to date him."

"Finally," Lee snorted. "It only took us, what, a month?"

Momo laughed. "Just about. You nervous?"

"Not really," Lee smiled. "I'll be fun. I get to see two of m girlfriends dancing, and I get to see the third be a rock star. I'm kind of excited."

Momo smiled, turning his head and kissing him, Lee kissing her back, even as he continued to cook. Finally, after about five minutes, he pulled back, turning back to the food and beginning to fill plates for the others, who should all be back soon. Momo helped him set the table, and just as they finished, Toru and Mina both arrived before the others, both rushing to greet Lee. He laughed at their behavior, kissing them both back and forth for a couple of minutes before pulling back.

"What's with you three today?" Lee asked.

"I'm so excited!" Mina cheered throwing her arms into the air. "This is going to be great!"

Lee laughed. "Well, it better be after all the work you've been putting me through."

The girls laughed as the others began to arrive, all of them cheering at the huge meal Lee had cooked for them, quickly washing their hands and thanking him for the meal before digging in. Then, most of them headed to bed, including both Momo and Toru. Lee smiled as he watched them disappear up the stairs. The concert had been a better idea than he could have hoped. They very rarely had nightmares anymore. At least, the girls didn't. Lee told them he didn't, but it was actually just that Legacy had learned to use his neural implant to block the memories of his nightmares, and keep his body from tossing and turning or speaking during them. He knew he still had them almost every night, but he wasn't as tired anymore, and the girls all felt better thinking he didn't. Tonight was a huge milestone, though. In the weeks since the incident, this was the first time they'd all be sleeping in their own rooms. It had been decided that it was for the best that they all sleep apart tonight so that they'd be as rested as possible for the concert tomorrow. Lee wasn't sure he agreed that it would help them be rested after having gone more than a month of always sleeping together, but the girls had all agreed to it, so he didn't argue.

After a few minutes, Eijiro made everyone who was still awake promise to do their absolute best. Then, they all agreed to head to bed as well. Lee walked Mina to her room, since she linked her arm through his in order to bring him there anyway, and followed her into it, closing the door behind himself before joining her on the bed. Within seconds, she was seated in his lap, kissing him, and he was holding her hands to keep both of them from doing something he might regret later. This had become pretty common too. She wasn't trying to force him, only tempt him. And she did better than she realized. However, he was determined to hold out. So, despite spending nearly an hour making out, he finally pulled away and smiled as she pouted.

"Aw, but I was having fun," Mina pouted.

Lee chuckled. "So was I, but I need more rest than anyone else for tomorrow, unless you want me passing out in the middle of the show and ruining it for everyone."

"True," Mina sighed. "Fine. I'll see you tomorrow."

He smiled, giving her one last quick kiss before leaving and heading back to his own room, only to stop as he stepped out of the elevator and heard Toru's voice moan. He stopped, eyes widening slightly before walking to her door and leaning in to listen. She moaned again, but this time he could clearly hear the whimper both before and after it, as well as the fear in her voice. He sighed. Of all the nights to have a nightmare. He opened her door and slipped inside, closing it behind himself, then walked over to the bed, slipping into it beside her and wrapping his arms around her, waking her as he did, before kissing her forehead and gently running his hand through her hair, comforting her as she cried into his chest. It didn't take her as long as it did before to calm down, however, and before too long, she pulled back, wiping her eyes.

"You alright?" he asked.

She nodded, smiling. "It was just a bad dream. It's manageable now, as long as I have you."

He smiled. "You'll always have me, Toru."

She smiled, kissing him, and let out a half-sigh of resignation before allowing herself to enjoy the kiss. Lee pulled back, giving her a curious and concerned look and she smiled.

"It's nothing," she smiled. "I just tasted Mina, is all."

He raised an eyebrow. "That's never bothered you before. And none of you have ever actually brought that up, before, either."

"It's not bad," Toru said. "You know I don't mind. I just...well...you know how she is. I just..."

"You're worried I'll choose to be with her first?" he asked. "And then choose just her?"

Toru nodded. "I know it's stupid. After as long as the four of us have been together, and after all that time of you not being able to choose, I know I shouldn't worry, but..."

Lee smiled, kissing her. "I love you, and no matter what happens, or who breaks me first, I'm never going to let any of you go so long as you don't want me to."

Toru smiled and nodded, kissing him again. "Will you sleep in here tonight?"

"Of course," he smiled.

She smiled gratefully and snuggled into his chest, closing her eyes and quickly drifting back to sleep, Lee following.
