Assaulted
Lee sighed as he sat back in his chair. Things had worked out better than he'd honestly expected. Beros had been cleared of all charges on the condition that she work as a sidekick in Endeavor's hero agency under strict supervision. Besides her, none from Humarise had been spared punishment. Even the police commander of Otheon had been arrested for being a part of Humarise.
"I love this movie," Toru smiled, leaning on Lee's arm.
"Yeah, this movie's so good," Mina smiled against Momo's neck, not having watched any of it, as she had been spending the entire movie so far teasing Momo, her hand currently inside of Momo's skirt as Momo struggled not to make a sound.
"Mina, you're terrible," Lee said, despite his own hand being up Mina's skirt as well.
"Sure I am," Mina grinned just as a tiny whimper slipped out of Momo. "If she wants me to stop, she can tell me so."
Lee sighed, shaking his head, glancing around the theater to make sure no one had noticed them. Except, as his eyes did meet someone's, his entire body tensed immediately, and he yanked his hand back from Mina's skirt instantly.
"Girls," he muttered seriously, all three immediately tensing, Mina taking her hands back. "They're here."
He and Instant locked gazes for a long moment before his eyes slowly swept the theater again, this time picking them out scattered among the audience. There was Splatter, Ion, Twitch, Parasomnia, Spider, Armory, Inkling and Stitch fused at the lips down front. Everyone was present except Pornstar. Just as he noticed the one absence, his phone buzzed. He picked it up and opened Instant's message.
"Pornstar got cut. She was getting too excited for our needs. It's just us this time."
"We need to leave, now!" Lee hissed. "Legacy, warn Rumi and Aizawa."
"Already done," Legacy said. "I've adjusted your neural implant. You'll be able to see Spider's webs."
"Let's go," Lee hissed.
He hurried past Mina and Momo, and all three girls quickly followed, though when Lee looked back, so were Instant and his team. They got outside, finding the street deserted before Instant appeared in front of them. Lee immediately picked up the girls and shot away from the door before setting them down just before the rest of Instant's team exited the theater. Lee narrowed his eyes, glaring at Instant, then at Spider, seeing his webs, glowing white lines to Lee's eyes thanks to Legacy, spreading from his hands to wave in the air above him, though not connected to anything yet.
"It's been too long, Mach," Instant grinned. "I've missed our play dates."
"I've been looking forward to a rematch," Stitch grinned.
"When I say to, you all need to run," Lee said.
"I don't think so," Spider said. "I'm not letting anyone get away. This time, I'm here to play, too."
Lee swallowed hard. "Why? What is your obsession with me, Instant?"
"Why?" Instant snorted. "Isn't it obvious? You're my counter! You're the only person who's ever been able to match me! It's fate! Of course I'm obsessed with you!"
Lee narrowed his eyes, deploying his exosuit. "I'm going to end your obsession, today!"
"We'll see," Instant grinned. "Ready...set...go!"
Lee exploded forward, electricity screaming long his body. Except, he didn't start with Spider, or with Instant. He'd worked out a strategy with Legacy, Aizawa, Rumi, Endeavor, and All Might. An order to deal with them all. The first one to die would be Twitch. Instant appeared in front of him, punching, but Lee flipped over the punch, his left boot's thruster sending his foot exploding into Instant and sending him exploding across the ground, laughing even as he cratered the road with each impact. As Lee's feet touched the ground, it exploded, Stitch's cords bursting from it, only for Lee to spin, his left foot severing them all before he was off again. The girls were screaming in agony behind him. Twitch had begun. Splatter stepped in between them, his massive sword stabbing at Lee, but Lee spun. Splatter had been right. He was too linear before. But he'd learned. Rumi had forced him to learn not to move in a predictable fashion. His left forearm slammed into the side of Splatter's blade just as it detached from the smaller blade, sending it streaking through the air. But instead of targeting the girls, it instead exploded into Inkling's tattoo shields, knocking her back several steps and throwing her aim off as the barrels extended from her tattoo rocket launchers fired. Explosions dotted the street and the buildings around them, but none were in Lee's way. Splatter stabbed his smaller sword at Lee, but his boots and jetpack fired a single blast, flipping him low over Splatter, allowing him to smash his helmet into the top of Splatter's head, dropping him before he slammed an axe kick down into the axis of Twitch's shoulder and neck. Guilt flooded him s Twitch's body collapsed from the force of the kick, blood spraying from her mouth, but he was long past the point of letting it stop him. He would not allow them to hurt his loved ones. He landed over Twitch's corpse and spun, contorting out of the way of armory's blade, this time on a metal mop as a naginata. The heat was suffocating, but once the blade was past, Lee lunged, slamming a hundred punches into Armory's chest in an instant, Armory's torso being blasted apart by the force. As he stepped forward, his left foot flashed to the ground, parting Splatter's head from his shoulders. Three down. Parasomnia could wait, as the other three could handle him for a bit, as they were already beginning to, now that Twitch was no longer torturing them. Ion was next, to remove the annoyance. But before that, he had to scramble Instant's team.
He exploded out of the way of a kick by Instant, reaching Stitch as his cords rushed to defend him. A hundred instantaneous punches exploded into the cords, blasting them apart as Stitch exploded backward into a building. Inkling, who's been beside Stitch, began to pull a sword from her tattoos on the front of her right shoulder, but Lee's left foot blurred and a roundhouse kick exploded through it. The sword, both the now physical parts and the tattoo, began to shine, and Lee exploded away from her just before it exploded, Inkling sailing backward, screaming in pain and burned across her right shoulder, the right side of her abdomen, and the right side of her face. Instant appeared in front of Lee, murder on his face, and his fist exploded into Lee hard enough to crack Lee's exosuit, only for Lee's blurred right fist to explode into his own face, breaking his nose and sending him exploding backward again. Spider's webs caught Lee, but Lee roared in effort, electricity screaming along the webs, incinerating them and freeing himself as well as hitting Spider with just enough of a shock to hurl him backward, though not enough to kill him. Lee landed on his feet, ignoring the gashes in his exosuit. None had gotten through, so he was fine. He exploded forward, racing toward Ion at his base speed, goading him. Ion shouted in fear and effort and a massive, violet bolt of lightning exploded from his arm into Lee, only for it to turn the same blue as Lee's own electricity as he absorbed it, made it his own. It was weaker than Nine's lightning had been. It was nothing. Then, he reached Ion, his right fist blurring as he pulled it back.
Toru screamed, and Lee's eyes darted over, seeing her being held in the air by Pornstar. Lee's got dropped. Instant had lied. She was there. Her tentacles were forcing themselves into Toru violently, though leaving her mouth unobstructed this time.
"Lee, help me!" Toru shrieked, only to suddenly shriek in pain before convulsing, blood and foam flooding from her mouth.
"Toru!" Lee shrieked.
Instant's fist exploded into Lee's helmet, sending him exploding across the street into Stitch's cords, which sent him exploding into the ground before retreating. Lee began to stand, and a dozen blood-red lasers fired from massive tubes extended from Inkling's tattoos, exploding into him and sending him exploding through the wall of a bank and into the main area. He groaned, pushing himself up, seeing his now super-heated exosuit glowing red and steaming. It burned inside, and he knew that he needed to take it off, but that was a death sentence in this fight. He looked around and froze. Spider had already cleared any bystanders. Bits and pieces were scattered about the bank, and blood repainted everything. He looked up at the hole he'd entered through and froze again. Toru was alive. She was struggling to fight Parasomnia's creations using a sword Momo had obviously formed her, but she was alive, and Pornstar was nowhere to be found. It had been a hallucination.
Instant's foot exploded into his right side, cracking his suit again, and he exploded out through the front of the bank again, bouncing twice before flipping and stopping himself. Instant didn't lie. Pornstar was gone. Lee could do this. He just needed to focus. A lightning wolf exploded toward Momo, who was struggling to avoid a giant spider's fangs. Lee exploded forward, slamming headlong into the wolf and absorbing it before jumping and kicking through the spider. Instant exploded into him a split second later, but as Lee flew, his jetpack and boots activated him, sending him hurtling at Ion. Ion shouted in fear, forming a sword from his electricity, but even as he stabbed it at Lee, Lee absorbed it, his fist exploding into Ion's chest, shattering his ribs rupturing his heart and lungs, and smashing him into the ground. Parasomnia had to be next. Lee spun, but just as he did, Inkling's tattoo lasers fired again. This time, as he crashed to the ground, his exosuit shattered, scattering around him s he bounced and rolled to a stop. He groaned, pushing himself up to his feet just as snakes, massive ones, coiled around all three of his girls. He exploded forward, moving carefully. Inkling extended machine gun barrels from her tattoos, opening fire, and Lee grit his teeth, bracing for pain as he ducked and weaved as best he could. A shot grazed his left side, his right trap, his left cheek. He flipped, slamming a dropkick into her gut, her shields protecting her but crushing the gun barrels. She rocketed backward, exploding into Parasomnia hard and shattering his bones, rendering him unconscious. That was good enough for now. The snakes all vanished and the girls dropped to the ground. Lee landed on his feet, yanking his head to the side to avoid a punch from Instant. His own roundhouse kick exploded into Instant's gut, sending him exploding backward.
"Stitch, now!" Inkling shrieked.
"Lee!" Momo shouted, hurling a pair of bracelets.
Lee's boots hurled him backward, just barely avoiding Stitch's cords. He caught the bracelets and put them on, expanding them. They weren't an exosuit, but they were the same type of gauntlet as Midoriya had used on I Island. They were enough. Lee exploded forward, flipping out of Instant's way with his boots before using a blast to send him rocketing forward again, narrowly avoiding Instant's attempt to catch his ankle. He landed at a sprint, pivoted around Stitch's cords and hurled a blurred punch. A bullet drilled through his from Inkling's tattoos, and he staggered to the side before Instant's fist exploded into his jaw, breaking it and sending him bouncing away. Bones broke, skin split, and blood splattered across the street. Lee's girls screamed, all three restrained by Spider.
Lee pushed himself up unsteadily, then exploded forward. Spider sent several webs at him, but he ducked under them, electricity screaming across his body before he exploded down the street to Inkling. Just as he drilled a blurred punch into her face and the shield tattoos protecting it, another gun fired, punching through his right shoulder, shattering the joint. But this time, Inkling's shields had failed. Inkling screamed in pain as blood and teeth sailed into the air, her nose flattened.
"Inkling!" Stitch shrieked, rage exploding through him. "You...fucking...BASTARD! ! !"
His stitches flashed light pink and a wave of energy raced from their tips to his body, then exploded from his palms in a beam. It blasted into Lee, sending him exploding into a wall, cratering it, and Stitch stared at his hands, then grinned.
"Ooo, I know that power," Stitch grinned, then focused. "There's more!"
Shining, golden light formed a sphere in his right palm, and he cackled, holding it out toward Lee only for Instant to knock his hand upward. The blast flashed way, faster than Lee could track, and exploded above them.
"You can't kill him, yet," Instant said, then appeared over Lee, driving an odd, cylindrical device into his back.
Three prongs burst from it, stabbing into Lee, and Lee screamed in pain as his electricity screamed across his body to the device, a gage on which began to light up and fill slowly. Finally, it was full, and Instant ripped the prongs free, Lee's electricity sparking and flashing over him before settling. Lee felt his head swimming, his vision fading between blurred and black repeatedly as he looked up at the others.
"There, now," Instant grinned, twisting the top of the device and retracting the bloody prongs. "We have what our benefactor needs. I gotta say, Spider you were right. We almost couldn't take him. If not for his exosuit breaking, we'd have lost. But, we have what we need now. Go ahead and kill the girls."
"No!" Lee groaned, struggling to move.
"Lee!" Momo sobbed.
"Please!" Mina pleaded. "Get up!"
"Lee!" Toru screamed.
Then, the webs fell, going completely limp and harmless, allowing the girls to break free as they hit the ground, scrambling away. Spider stared at his hand for a moment, then sighed.
"Eraser Head," Spider said, turning toward him, finding both Endeavor and Rumi with him.
"That's enough!" Aizawa snarled. "You won't lay another hand on my students!"
"You have such poor timing Aizawa," Instant sighed. "But it's fine. We're finished here. Let's go."
"You're not going anywhere!" Rumi shouted, she and Endeavor exploding forward, careful not to block Aizawa's line of view.
Before they could reach them, however, Instant slammed a smoke grenade into the ground, the smoke instantly obscuring Aizawa's view. He swore harshly and Endeavor launched himself sideways, barely managing to tackle Rumi aside before Stitch's cords stabbed through the air where she'd been. Then, they retracted into the smoke, and it began to thin, leaving the remaining four gone as it cleared. The three pros immediately shifted to trying to save the students, as well as Aizawa restraining Parasomnia, as the only living villain left. Lee forced himself to look over at the girls, forcing his vision to focus. They'd received cuts and gashes from Spider's webs, but even before that, each of them bore cuts, bruises, scuffs, and other injuries from Parasomnia's creations. Momo's ribs were bruised badly, Legacy identifying it as multiple broken ribs, Toru's ankle was swelling and bruised, once again broken, and Mina's left elbow was broken. However, all of those injuries could be healed by Recovery Girl, and none would scar. Lee wasn't so lucky. He's be down for days, most of his bones had been broken, and he had failed to protect them.
"Lee!" Rumi gasped, kneeling beside him and ripping a piece of her costume off to hold it to the worst of the gashes in his head. "You're going to be okay!"
Lee pointed to the girls with a shaking hand, and Rumi shook her head.
"They're fine too!" Rumi said. "It's alright! You did amazingly protecting them!"
"Yes, you did well," Endeavor said, glancing around at the corpses. "I'll speak to the Public Safety Commission about the deaths."
"Thank you," Aizawa said. "First, help me get them all back to UA so they can be treated."
Endeavor nodded and picked up Lee. Momo helped Toru support her weight with Rumi, and Aizawa brought up the rear, hands on his scarf and eyes looking around carefully, ready for instant and the other surviving members of his team to return, though they didn't.
