He arrived at the right moment

The week came and went and now it was the weekend. I sat in Nanao's office and watched her read Mr. Secret. She had a straight face the whole time and I didn't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing. She flipped through the pages occasionally looking at me as she examined my writing. I looked around her office while she read I always did this to see if anything changed and to pass the time as well. Her office was the same today with white walls and the same brown chairs. She had photos on her desk but I could never get a good look at them. When Nanao was done she gave me my spiral back and then crossed her legs. She looked at me as if waiting for me to say something but that's not how it worked and she knew it. She was the one that always started the conversation after she read Mr. Secret but today she's being different and I hate when she tries to be different. She cleared her throat like usual and adjusted her glasses. We stared at each other for a bit more before she got the point that I wasn't going to talk. She sighed and then sat up.

"So did you tell your parents you're being bullied?"

I shook my head, "I'm not being bullied, I deserve this."

"And why do you think that?" She asked.

All I could do was shrug, "I kissed my best friend's boyfriend, that's why and now I befriended Renji, my other friend's ex boyfriend."

"You talk about them as if they're still your friends to me but in...Mr. Secret you know they're no longer your friends. Are you still trying to come to terms that they are no longer your friends or are you holding out that one day they will come back to you?" Nanao asked.

Woah she's getting into some deep shit, "I don't know."

Nanao just gave me a blank stare, "Ichigo you were a MMA fighter and you did Karate. I have no doubt that you could defend yourself when these girls attacked but you didn't. Why is that? You say you don't know but the truth is you feel the moment you actually defend yourself the moment you throw a punch it's over. As long as they are bullying you you believe there is still hope."

I looked away and I knew what she was saying was true. I knew as long as I didn't hit them there was still hope and as messed up as it sounded I wanted to still be friends with them. Nanao wrote down notes and ended our session. I said my goodbyes and walked out to the car where Shiro was waiting for me. I got into the car and rested my head on the chair. Shiro asked how everything went and I just gave a thumbs up. Shiro asked where I wanted to eat and I just told him to pick. He started texting and waited for a reply when he got one he told me to buckle up and zoomed away from the facility. I looked out the window and looked at the trees and decided on a quick nap. When I woke up Shiro opened my door and I looked and saw we were at a fast food restaurant, a place where teens go to hang. I yawned and saw all the people and quickly went to close my door.

Shiro frowned and threw me over his shoulder. I wanted to fight but it wasn't worth it. When we got into the restaurant it was packed. Shiro pulled me to a vacant table and went to grab some little paper menus. I looked around and thankfully no one from school came. When Shiro came back he sat on the other side of the table and handed me a menu. I looked at the menu and a good majority of the food to pick on said menu were different types of burgers. I decided on a triple burger with the works and Shiro got the same. He went back to the ordering counter and ordered and then came back with a number tag. When he sat back down he looked at me and then his phone then back at me.

I sighed, "So Gin is coming obviously, who else?"

Shiro gave a small smile, "Your new friend Renji along with some football buddies of Gin's and some of the wrestling team oh basketball too."

My eyes got big, "Why so many people?"

"The football game is coming up and the guys want to relax before being stressed out." Shiro answered.

"I don't want to be around all those people. I'll take an uber home."

Shiro rolled his eyes, "No you're not. Look if you feel like you're going to have a umm attack just tell me ."

I nodded and I knew Shiro would take care of me. When our food came, me and Shiro dug in like we haven't eaten in years. Gin pulled up next to Shiro very slyly and grabbed one of my fries. Rangiku looked and sat next to Gin. Our table was a big table booth that could fit a good amount of people. Rangiku waved at me and I did the same and finished off my fries before Gin could have more. A little bit later I saw Renji approaching. I smiled and stood up to let him in the booth so he wasn't next to Rangiku. Renji greeted everyone and then looked at the small menu on the table. Renji and I talked for a bit while Gin and Shiro talked and Rangiku looked at her phone.

Others were arriving as well and filling up booths. I knew some of them from Shiro's wrestling team. They all squished into the booths and started yelling and talking. I learned some stuff like Renji was actually part of the football team. I guess I never cared to know back then and Shiro was apparently undefeated along with Gin in wrestling. I also learned that the football team and wrestling team worked out together as well as studied together. Lastly they all loved going out to parties. I drank the last bit of my soda and watched as my brother interacted with others. I was actually pretty comfortable to be honest.

"Rangiku OMG."

Everyone at the table including me turned and saw Menoly, Loly, and their umm I want to say brother Luppi. They were all cheerleaders and messy as hell. I looked and saw Rangiku light up and wave them over. They all four squealed and now I was starting to feel a little uncomfortable. They all squished next to Rangiku and started talking. I avoided eye contact and looked at my phone.

"Oh I'm sorry, are we interrupting something?" That was Menoly.

"What? No, why?" That was Rangiku

I heard someone clear their throat and then speak, "Well it's just are you guys discussing like gangbangs or something?" Loly laughed out.

"Since Ichigo's here I'm just wondering how she's going to take all this dick like damn your pussy must be loose."Luppi giggled.

I didn't look up. I continued to look at my phone and took deep breaths. Next thing I knew I heard someone slam their hands on the table I flinched.

"Bitch be careful what you say to my sister." I looked up and saw Shiro seething from the mouth.

I then turned to Gin who was glaring daggers at Rangiku, "You and your friends should go to another booth now."

I watched as Rangiku rolled her eyes and left the table with the others. Renji tried to pull me in for a hug but I shook him off. I announced that I'd be back and that I was going to get some fresh air. Of course Shiro protested but I simply smiled and told him I would be back. I grabbed my bag and walked outside. I was getting tired of being called names and being bullied. I walked and walked and I honestly didn't know where I was walking. Somehow I reached a bridge. Under it was water and rocks. It was a pretty big fall. I looked and saw no one was around and stood on the very edge of the bridge. I could just jump and end it all. I won't suffer anymore, I won't be miserable anymore. I decided I'm going to jump.

"Hey, what the hell are you doing?"

I frowned of course when I've made up my mind when someone comes over to see what I'm doing why can't they mind their business. I didn't turn around and didn't want to see who caught me. I simply told them I was looking at the view. I heard them walk up to me and sighed I was not in the mood for this. I turned and saw Grimmjow, the guy who carried me to Shiro that day. I blushed. He didn't say anything. It was like he was waiting for me to explain myself so I looked back at him waiting for him to do the same. When he figured I wouldn't say anything he laughed and motioned to his car. I looked and saw it was a Mustang. It was blue with a black stripe that's all I knew about it. Not a car girl. I got in the car not knowing why and he drove to the place I literally just left. I knew even if I ran he'd chase me so I followed him in. When Shiro saw me he ran towards me and started shaking me.

"Where have you been? I've been texting you and calling you. You've been gone for almost an hour."

I looked at my phone and saw that Shiro indeed called and texted me about eighty times. I didn't even know I'd been gone that long. It felt like minutes. Grimmjow laughed and stood beside me and grabbed me from Shiro.

"Sorry man I caught up with your sister and we started talking about the...view my fault dude."

Shiro narrowed his eyes but nodded and made me sit next to him the whole night. Towards the end of everything everyone said their goodnights and went to their cars. Renji and I talked for a few before I told him goodnight. I was walking with Shiro when I noticed Grimmjow on the side talking to Neliel. I rolled my eyes. He was probably setting up a...I mean he was probably discussing homework or something. I knew better than to judge before knowing what was happening. When we got home I did the usual I wrote in Mr. Secret of course I didn't include me almost jumping off the bridge. Then I took a shower. Afterwards I got in my bed and checked my phone. Renji texted me a simple 'see you at school.' After his text I saw someone else texted me surprisingly it was Gin.

'Hey Ichi I just wanted to apologize about Rangiku and her friends.'

I wondered if Shiro asked for him to text me. 'No problem, it's fine I'll see you at school.'

Gin replied with a simple 'Okay :)'

I smiled a bit as I laid in my bed aside from the snide comment today was an overall good day. I am surprised that Grimmjow kind of saved me twice already. He seemed to arrive at the right moments. I guess it was probably just luck though.
