Hey, guys! Alright, alright, before you guys start complaining and whining and raging and whatnot, at least hear me out real quick!
So, I've given it some thought, and after a long while, I decided that I'm going to rewrite this whole fanfic in a new fanfic. Now, I know what you're probably thinking. "But you spent so much time on this fanfic!" "Why do you have to make us suffer by making us wait for so long?" "But what about Season 3? We wanna see some Spiritshipping!"
Yeah, I get you guys. This wasn't an easy thing for me to decide, either, but I found a bunch of flaws within this fanfic that I wish to address and then correct in my new fanfic. Well, I found that some of the filler chapters here weren't very satisfying for me. Like, I want to fix them or rewrite over them with something new.
Secondly, the duels. I feel like I'm just copy-pasting from the anime and putting them in here. While it may make things a lot easier, it just becomes too boring and predictable after some time. In the new remake, I plan on changing up the duels. Dunno if I'm gonna put in the Masked Heroes or something like that, but I am going to put in the new Elemental Hero cards, whatever they are. I dunno, they seem to be creating new Elemental Hero cards every year due to how insanely popular they are. Which is fine with me, because with the duels I'm creating, I'll help promote them in some way.
Third, the interactions between Jaden and the guys. I kinda felt like they were forced in some way. I want to expand those sort of interactions. Of course, there's gonna be multiple endings to this, or rather the remake's fanfiction. But yeah, re-reading the scenes for them, I kinda figured that I needed to change some of the scenes and even more so, place new ones to try and make the interactions feel natural.
Fourth, it's not just the romance and the duels that I want to change. I want to place in new school-related chapters into the remake as well. Watching the GX series was fun and all, but I felt like there was more world-danger events than there were school events. I mean, it's Duel Academy, a SCHOOL meant to help train Pro Duelists, so there should be more school events. The play chapter where Crowler was stepped on was truly one of the best, I'm not gonna lie. Plus, if I remake this, I might potentially add in new parts to that chapter.
If I do remake this, this will tie in with my other Cherished Evolution fanfic, the remake one. Since it's in its beginning chapters, I'll sort of...synchronize with it. For example, Episode 1 is where Chapter 1 for both fanfics will take place. Or, if Jaden duels Aster, that's where both fanfics will be around that time. And, if there's a filler chapter, I'll do a filler chapter for both remakes, something like that.
I apologize for all of you waiting and hoping for Season 3, but I promise that the remake will include Season 3 and 4 and will undergo a lot of changes! If you don't want to continue waiting for the remakes, I understand. But, at the time being, I'll be focusing my efforts in the Yu-Gi-Oh series. Again, I apologize if the chapters come out late due to my busy life outside and I am awfully busy a lot. I might delete this fanfic the moment the new season 3 comes back up because technically, after the last chapter, it was supposed to be the start of season 3.
