This is my first fanfic. Tell me if you like, or dislike the story in reviews, Please give me reasons, Future chapters will be longer than this. Lastly, Oda is the goat.

Luffy looked up at the midnight sky from his tiny dinghy, as he left the docks of Fusha Village, ready for the adventure of his lifetime. He originally planned to leave early in the morning, but Makino wanted to give him a proper send off. This consisted of a village wide party that spanned the whole day, this caused Luffy's plans of adventure to be held back a few hours.
A Few Hours Later
Luffy woke up to a small current pulling his dinghy towards an island in the distance, "I found an island, a mystery island!" Luffy excitedly exclaimed. Luffy grabbed his paddles and started rowing at an insane pace, reaching the coast of the island in a small amount of time. Luffy got up from his rowing position and leaped off of his dinghy onto the beach of the island, leaving his dinghy floating on the coast.
As Luffy explores the jungle of the island he hears a rumble, he looks up and sees nothing, he hears it again, and looks down at his stomach. "I want food" Luffy tiredly sighs. Luffy suddenly looks to the side, as he hears a crunch of leaves, "Finally, I found food" Luffy exclaims with drool leaking out of his mouth. Luffy looks towards the sound of the crunch and see's a 15-meter tall giant, with a snarl on his face.
"Sorry, I thought you were food, My name is Monkey D. Luffy, I'm a rubber man, do you wanna be friends, Shishishishi?" Luffy joyfully exclaimed, as he stretched his cheek.
"Why won't everyone leave me alone, this is my island, and no-one is allowed" The unnamed giant angrily shouted at Luffy.
The giant swinged his fist at Luffy's small body, Luffy not expecting this attack, did not react in time to dodge the blow. Luffy coughed up blood as the giants fist launched his body into a tree. As the giant pulled his fist off of Luffy's body, Luffy slumps over, defeated, 'I haven't felt pain ever since the incident with the Bluejam Pirates' Luffy thought dejectedly.
Luffy weakly looks up at the giant, who defeated him with one blow, as he looks up, he catches a glimpse of the giant's fist, which is covered in a black sheen, until it suddenly disappears, reverting the giant's fist to normal.
"Why don't you beg for your pitiful life, human" The giant exclaimed as he ripped a tree from its roots, and pointed it at Luffy's prone body.
"I have a dream, a dream I would gladly die for, and it looks like I'll die here. The journey was fun, but I guess it's gonna get cut short, I regret nothing, I chased my dream, I experienced freedom" Luffy proudly exclaims.
"Humor me, what's this dream of yours" The giant said with a face of pity, as he raised up the large tree, ready to end Luffy's life.
"My dream is to be THE KING OF THE PIRATES" Luffy shouted with a smile on his face. As the tree came down upon Luffy's body, the surroundings slowed down to a halt.
Alright, just like I said in the beginning, do you think this is a good start to this fanfic.
