"Shadow...we've been searching for hours with this radar, i'm pretty sure It's not leading us to a chaos emerald." Rouge complained, flying next to her seemingly gloomy companion. Shadow kept going,"there's one nearby...i can feel it..." he insisted before going forward. Rouge would follow, huffing air from her mouth. She was doubtful that the emerald would be out in this godforsaken jungle. They ended up traveling to a different part of the jungle; the further they traveled, the jungle would look more barren, and lifeless— as if something happened to have killed the vegetation in this area. "I don't recognize this part of the jungle..." shadow raised an eyebrow," hmm..." he continued further; he would see the moist jungle dirt get drier, and the trees would look either burnt down or broken as he continued. " what happened here?" Rouge asked, thinking what could have cause this. " that's what im trying to figure out..." he responded. They both continued until they reached a a strange looking crater; as if something had crashed here before. Shadow recognized the area almost immediately." I remember this place...this is where the black arms tried to attack again..." He thought to himself. "Shadow?..." rouge looked at him confused, " stay close to me... the emerald is down there..." she flew closer to him and went down into the crater with him. the two would see many broken ship parts, and mostly broken weapons. they continued forward until they heard something run behind them." What was that???" Rouge jumped looking around frantically
"I don't know..." he stopped in place,"stay behind me..." he continued to move forward;he could see where the chaos emerald was. The emerald was straight ahead, sitting in a broken panel. He grabbed it before making his way back up and out of the crater. " that was easy... too easy..." he gazed back into the crater for a moment,"... what the hell was down there?...i know i heard something moving in that crater..." He thought to himself. Rouge snatched the emerald from him while he was distracted," my,my~ such a beautiful shine!"
