The screen turns black while the lights of the theater turns off before the screen shows:
"Red" Trailer
The screen then once again turns black before the a calm melodic music is heard in the background
"Music?" Blake mutters to herself, not really expecting it
"..." A lot of people were just a bit shock even though they should've been expecting something like this, after all, the titles gives off the impression that whatever they're gonna watch is separated like a show and music is sometimes part of a show
Guess they were expecting too much or too little, or both
"It sounds nice at least?" Summer said, trying to lighten up the mood a bit but ended up sounding like she's asking it instead
The full moon is later shown by fading in on the black screen, amidst it are the falling snow and a single floating red petal
A few who knew Ruby's semblance raised their eyes but withheld saying anything for now as it could mean anything for all they know
And nobody questioned why the moon was full they all know that it spins and sometimes show the unbroken part
Several more petals join the original before the original dissolves and the screen turns black
"Oooooohhhh-"
The screen then cuts to a figure with a red cloak with the hood down, their cloak fluttering in the wind
"Ooooo…"
Some of the watchers recognized what the figure in the screen is wearing and whose clothes is it, especially the person herself
"Ruby?" Weiss and Yang said at the same time with Blake thinking about the same thing
"Me?" The person herself on the other hand said, she's just as confused as everyone else
"Wait what?" Summer said confusedly
"So… You're in this shot? Why?" Raven asked suspiciously to Ruby
"Uh… I don't know either…?" Ruby answered nervously but turned out like she was asking it instead which led Raven to glare suspiciously at Ruby
"Hey, Hey, Calm down Raven." Summer said, quickly trying to diffuse the situation
"How do we know that they aren't with whoever our captor is? Why do you even believe that they are from the future?" Raven asked Summer in an irritated tone "You are a fool amongst fools."
"I mean… After everything that has happened, yeah… We couldn't use our aura nor our semblance, we don't have our weapons with us, we couldn't even crack anything that was inside the initial room, and we were suddenly teleported inside this… Cinema room? So yeah… I'm willing to believe that could be considered unbelievable things in a normal situation and our current situation isn't exactly normal." Summer answered Raven's question by utterly destroying her with facts and logic which caused the latter to quiet down
So, the watchers then continued watching quietly, albeit some being a bit awkward after hearing Summer and Raven's exchange since they weren't exactly quiet nor either of them intended to during said exchange
The screen then briefly turns black and transitions to another perspective of the figure who is shown standing upon a snowy cliff while looking at what appears to be an altar of sorts
"Red like roses fills my dreams-"
While some of the watchers wondered where Ruby was at during this shot, they stayed quiet since when they looked at Ruby, they found her being relatively less enthusiastic and didn't wanted to intrude
The screen the momentarily turns black
"-and-"
Before it cuts to a different perspective of the person is shown, this time, on her back before they turns around and passes by the screen to reveal the "altar" that they were looking at has an awfully familiar symbol etched in it along with the words:
Summer Rose
Thus Kindly I Scatter
"-bring me to the place you rest."
Now that was a huge shocker to the watchers from the past, seeing that their leader, teammate, partner and friend has apparently passed away
Summer started to become very emotional but tried to keep it all in, though having a hard time doing so
"I-I-I'm okay…" Summer says, trying to reassure to the various people looking worriedly at her, of course, it didn't really reassured them all to well
But in reality, Summer actually fine as she managed to get a hold of herself in only less than a minute, I guess you could say she has experience about these things after all
'Maybe it's a curse in our family for mothers to leave their children behind…' Summer thought a dark joke but immediately threw that thought away, she did not want to go back to the put that is depression
Eventually, seeing that Summer was true to her word and was fine, Glynda resumed the video
The screen then cuts back to the figure who was now walking in a forest
But then suddenly, a wolf-like shadow swiftly passed on the background
"White is cold and-"
Most of the watchers, especially the experienced ones like the two teachers and team STRQ noticed the shadow and assumed it was a beowolf
The screen then slowly fades to another different perspective of Ruby, this time, above her
Another shadow passed through the screen but is was too fast to properly identify what it was
"-always yearning…"
The screen cuts another time, but this time, it shows the person walking out of the treeline and into a flat, snowy terrain before it quickly transitions the perspective in front of the person who was looking around her discreetly
"Burdened by… A royal test."
"Huh? Has anybody noted the lyrics?" Taiyang asked in which some of the watchers realized that there were lyrics at all
"Uhm… No…?" Summer answered hesitantly, a bit ashamed that she hasn't noticed it yet, and she likes to call herself the most perceptive out of her team, what a shame "Uh… I'll start doing it now! I mean… It could have hidden meanings for all we know, right?"
Only a few people nodded, which just caused Summer to be more embarrassed but tried her best not to show it to her face
The screen then changes perspective, this time, behind the figure and the screen pans around showing multiple beowolves surrounding her
"Black the beast descends from shadows…"
"Oooohhhh… I remember this now!" Ruby announced "This was when I fought a large amount of grimm while visiting Mom!"
"Okay, now check your memory to see if what is shown to us is the same as what you remember." Weiss said (*cough* ordered *cough*) to Ruby
"Uhm… Would you believe it if I said that I don't remember it well?" Ruby replied a bit hesitant to Weiss
Weiss on the other hand got annoyed real fast by Ruby's reply "Then check what you do remember."
"Okay…" Ruby answered
"Reminds me of a certain duo." Taiyang whispered to Qrow jokingly who coughed (read: laugh) in response which did not gone unnoticed by Raven
Qrow immediately shut up before things go downhill for him
Three brave beowolves suddenly runs forward and lunges towards the person but they were only met with air with red rose petals dancing around them
"Yellow beauty burns..."
The beowolves looks around for a bit before looking up
The screen cuts to person with her hood down, revealing Ruby in all her glory and in slow motion
"...Gold."
"Ah… It's quite a coincidence that all the lyrics mentioned four colors and those four colors just so happen to be you four's 'main colors'." Summer said to team RWBY in a bit of a sarcastic tone
This led team RWBY's minds to think for a while to get what Summer was alluding to
"The lyrics… Are about us?" Blake asked Summer, just to be sure she wasn't mistaken and Summer nodded in response
"That's just my assumption based on what I heard." Summer explained
"I mean… I guess it makes sense? I mean… I'm the leader of our team?" Ruby said
Team STRQ was not really surprised by that one piece of information
The slow motion stops and Ruby takes Crescent Rose and turned it into its Sniper Form before shooting below her
The screen then cuts to show a beowolf was shot right on the head
Then the screen goes back at Ruby who lands to the ground before another beowolf lunges at her only for her to jump upwards and shoots at the beowolf and used it's recoil to move forward
Then Ruby shoots at another beowolf now and used it's recoil to slow herself down
Another beowolf charges at Ruby, but she just shoots at it and used her weapon's recoil to roll backwards
She then recovers and twirls her weapon while it transforms into a bigger, deadlier and more intimidating Scythe Form
Summer's eyes widen as she sees Ruby's weapon in it's full form, amazed at the whole contraption
She has seen a few similar things before from a certain person, but it was only in blueprints and concept arts and never before had she seen anything like that in reality
Summer leans forward a bit, wanting to see everything and is already making mental notes one after another
Of course, this did not gone unnoticed by a few other watchers, specifically, Yang
'I guess, like mother like daughter.' Yang thought to herself
Though, the rest of team STRQ was a bit surprised since they all saw Summer once tried to use Harbinger, Qrow's weapon in it's scythe form only to hit herself with it, they also knew that Summer also tried to practice with it for a a few weeks before giving up
Qrow's laugh that day was quite hard to forget
But anyways, they didn't really expected for Summer's supposed daughter to wield a scythe since her mother couldn't really do it, but I guess that Ruby is just different from Summer
Though, that does beg the question, who trained her? The easy answer is Qrow
A braver beowolf runs towards Ruby only for her to swing her scythe at itz but the blade didn't connected with the body, the head of the beowolf looks up at Ruby and growls at her only for her to smile at it
Ruby then shoots and used it's recoil to decapitate it in half and continue the swing whilst in slow motion
The screen then shows that the beowolves are now one by one starting to run at Ruby before the screen goes back at Ruby
She then starts to rotate her scythe before the slows down to see Ruby unloading a spent bullet
Ruby then hooks her scythe to the ground and started to shoot at the incoming beowolves whilst unloading the spent bullet after a shot
The screen changes back to the beowolves to see that Ruby manages to hit three over four of them, but the one left swipes at Ruby only for the said girl to jump out of the way while removing her scythe from the ground with her
Then Ruby shoots at the beowolf and was knocked back by the recoil before she impales her weapon to the ground again to completely stop her momentum and then swings her body to land on top of her weapon
The screen was cut to the treelines before a howl was heard and then more beowolves started coming out from the treelines to help kill the girl
"Of course…" Summer muttered to herself as she saw what's happening, already feeling the annoyance when that happens to her and her team
Of course, the rest of team STRQ shared her sentiment
A beowolf almost got Ruby with its claws, but she just twirls out of the way
Another beowolf was coming, this time, on the front but Ruby shoots at it and the recoil makes Ruby and her weapon to spin backwards, she then kicks at the beowolf who almost got her earlier and stops her momentum in the process
Ruby then recovers and turns to the one who got shot by her and strikes it for it to lose balance and kicks it before aiming her scythe and shoots at it and used it's recoil to slice the beowolf behind her in half
Ruby then spins her scythe horizontally and shoots at the beowolf in front of her, she then spins Crescent Rose vertically and shoots two times before the beowolf finally fell down
Another beowolf suddenly appears in the screen running forward at Ruby, but she just used Crescent Rose to hook the incoming beowolf and shoots it using the recoil to behead it and she twirls her scythe to exactly rest on to her shoulder
Qrow whistles upon seeing Ruby's mastery over her scythe, not really expecting for someone who looks young move like an experienced Huntsman while also seeing a few awfully familiar moves which just supports the 'Qrow trained her'
"You're good, gotta give you that." Qrow complimented Ruby who was a bit shock when she heard it
"U-Uhm… Thanks?" Ruby said
The screen changes to see a beowolf coming from behind Ruby, she noticed this and moves out of the way, the beowolf tries to swipe her with it's claws again but Ruby just ducks out of the way, she then and twirls her scythe horizontally to strike it and twirls again to strike it a second time, but hooks onto it's body instead
The screen changes to see another beowolf coming from behind the hooked beowolf, Ruby just shoots the second beowolf while dismembering the first
The screen follows the dismembered part to see it hit another incoming beowolf, said beowolf was knocked out before two more beowolf suddenly appears, those two beowolf lunges at Ruby but she just jumps out of the way twice
Ruby then recovers immediately and aims her scythe at the first beowolf that lunged at her
She then dashed forward and sliced it once, then she readies her stance for something
Then Ruby strikes at the beowolf three times consecutively killing it immediately, then the second beowolf that lunge at her dashes at Ruby but she just hook her scythe at it and rolls underneath the beowolf and jumps on top of it
The beowolf struggles to escape but Ruby just shoots at the ground and used the gun's recoil to behead it while being knocked up in the air
Ruby looks down to see three more beowolves, one of the beowolf jumps and another one follows it while the last one stays on the ground
The screen cuts back to Ruby who shoots upwards and starts to spin, she strike the incoming beowolf and stands on top of it
The screen slows down to see Ruby now aiming at it's head before the screen goes back at its normal speed and she shoots at the beowolf before she used the recoil to move forward
Ruby spins in the air and shoots downwards to give herself more airtime, she then strikes the second incoming beowolf
Then the screen focused on Ruby as she blocks a strike from a beowolf on the ground and was knocked backwards, Ruby impales her scythe to the ground to slow herself down, she looks up only to see that there are more beowolves left
"That's one thing I hate about packs of beowolves, it's like they're never ending…" Qrow said in annoyance in which practically everyone else in the theater nods in agreement
When Ruby saw this, she decided to remove the cartridge and installed a new one with a circle and four arrows pointing at the circle, a gravity symbol, or more accurately, Gravity Dust
"Oooohhhh~" Yang said in realization before grinning "I see what you're doing now."
Ruby snickered upon hearing this, she was quite proud of her accomplishments but was also a bit embarrassed since so many people are currently watching it
Ruby then puts her Scythe at her back before loading it, and then she shoots behind her and she suddenly became a blur to the screen
The screen follows Ruby as she just dashes over two beowolves and kills them just as fast, she then dashed again and the screen cuts to show looking at the dashing Ruby, the screen cuts back to Ruby as she shoots again now to spin and strikes at a beowolf and beheading it, she continues and abruptly stops to strike a beowolf in half horizontally
The screen cuts back at Ruby now twirling her scythe and back at another beowolf and suddenly was cutted half vertically, and back at Ruby again now twirling her scythe and the screen cuts to a new beowolf which was cutted off in half horizontally, and back at Ruby again now screaming a battle cry and twirling her scythe and cuts to another beowolf which was then dismembered in half vertically
The screen cuts to above the battlefield to show scattered rose petals and dismembered body parts of beowolves and spent bullets flying to the air
Then Ruby is shown cutting down 14 more beowolves in different scenes and the fifteenth and last one was killed by a gunshot which sent Ruby flying backwards, she just stuck the landing and made a post while the full moon is behind her and suddenly all the spent bullets rained down from the air
Weiss and Blake was shocked to say the least, and now they understand why Ruby was bumped two years ahead despite her not being best in terms of academic, in turns out, academics was not the reason of her skipping two school years
Though, they do wonder, why Ruby never showed this kind of skill before? Yes she was good, better than most, but not exceptionally good like what was shown right now
Team STRQ on the other hand, was extremely impressed (despite a certain member of the group not showing it outwardly), I guess the phrase "The next generation will always surpass the previous one." holds weight to some degree
Now imagine if Ruby had experience and more training? She'd be a force to reckon with
The moon turns red and Ruby's silhouette turned black, then a panel was formed and spins to the very left side of the screen, the panel flashed which showed Ruby when she did her post while the other three, WBY, was still is blacked out
"Oh? So these trailers are about RWBY? I assume that that team is your team seeing as Ruby is part of it?" Summer asked team RWBY who all four nodded
"I guess the title should've clued us in…" Taiyang said as he remembers it
"To be fair, we didn't really knew that the team besides us was team RWBY earlier." Summer said, trying to reassure Taiyang which succeeded
"Guess so." Taiyang said
"But I do have one question… Why us?" Blake said and unfortunately, no one has an answer to that
Weiss coughed, trying to break the silence before she remembered something "Oh right, Ruby, was the video shown to us the same as what you remember?"
"Oh- Uhm… Yeah? More or less, I also did that pose thing at the end too…" Ruby said a bit embarrassed
"Are you really sure?" Weiss asked Ruby
"Y-Yeah?" Ruby answered, getting a bit nervous by Weiss insistence
"Then start the next video." Weiss said which surprised some by her sudden change in goal
But nevertheless, Glynda did started the next trailer which was '"White Trailer' since they also share the same sentiment as Weiss, to faster they watch the next video, the faster they could see if it's credible or not
"If we were to assume that the same pattern continues then… The next trailer would be about… Uhm…" Summer trailed off while pointing to the girl with white hair beside Ruby as she does not know her name
"Weiss." Weiss supplemented
"Yeah, Weiss and then the next member of team RWBY and so on until the 4th member." Summer said in which some nodded in agreement with her
"Though it's a bit funny, the initials of your team are also the initials of your corresponding colors, R for Ruby and Red, W for Weiss and White, B for uhm…" Summer trailed off again
"Blake." Blake said, already knowing why Summer trailed off
"And I'm Yang!" Yang said in advance "Though I never thought of it that way."
"Huh… Okay, you get the point at least, right?" Summer asked in which they all nodded
"Alright! So let's not Weiss any more and go watch the White trailer!" Yang said in which she got a few face palms
"Oh god no…" Raven said, cringing while she put her hands to her face "Another Tai…"
"Ice one!" Taiyang said while grinning, his response got Yang laughing to the ground
"Yours too!" Yang replied
"Please stop you two…" Summer said with her voice tinge with a bit of fear
Glynda cleared her throat, getting everyone's attention immediately "If all of you are done, I would be starting the next trailer now."
And that got everyone (read: most) to sit up straight
"Was Glynda always like this?" Qrow asked Raven but before she could respond, or even react, Glynda cleared her throat again which got Qrow to shut up
Seeing everyone ready, Glynda clicks next
