Mr Jackson's POV:
When I first joined The faculty I noticed that there were two teachers much younger than myself, who respectfully teach Art and the other Biology, when I first introduced myself the younger female, Maya, said "Soo, you're gonna be teaching near Huckleberry, good luck." She turned to face who I knew as l Lucas and winked.
I rolled my eyes 'these youngens nowadays always being so stupid and immature!' Lucas blushed and murmured, "shut up, shortstack."
a few hours later*
We were all settling down for dinner in the the teachers lounge when all of a sudden... Maya's phone rings, looking at the caller ID she rolls her eyes, "Hi Mum, what's up?... WHAT DO YOU MEAN POET IS IN A !" She yells as she scans the room for someone... "No, we're on our way..." she haistily hangs up and rings another number... "Where are you?!... Well hurry up Poets in A !" I murmur to the teacher next to me, "who's Poet?" "Her daughter." They reply.
I was about to reply when Lucas comes crashing in, grabbing Maya by the wrist "WHAT DO YOU MEAN POET IS IN A !?" "I don't know!" She replies, "your mum just rang me."
a couple of days pass - and still no sign of Lucas and Maya*
on the third day however...
Lucas turns up and whilst in the teachers lounge a teacher asks 'how is Poet?' "She's good she's just got chickenpox, but for some reason she has them really bad so Maya is taking some time off to be with her."
I walk up to Lucas and ask, "so how long you been together, you and Maya?" "We've been together since we were 14, and were 22 now, Poet wasn't expected but she was a welcomed surprise," he says with a wary smile. "I know me and maya can seem immature at times but it's just our relationship, we've always been like this, given each other nicknames and she's always called my mum, mum. I'm the only stable thing she's had since 14."
I look at him with sad eyes and he picks up on this, "our childhood best friend didn't take very well to our relationship and kinda upped and left Maya in the dust."
two weeks later Maya brings Poet to visit her daddy and I never judged them again *
