A/N: Hello, readers! Welcome to another chapter!
Enjoy!
CHAPTER FIVE: DINO VS DRAGON
Aster was walking throughout the Cursed Dragons guild hall. "Out of everyone in Black Sun, I had to encounter the child." Aster looked up and saw Minato staring down at him.
Aster narrowed his eyes. "Are you underestimating me?" He questioned.
Minato hopped down from the ceiling right in front of him. "Of course not. I wouldn't dare underestimate someone that's in the ranks of Black Sun's S-Class wizards, also known as the Assembly of Ash." He informed.
"It's a shame I won't be able to fight the Prince of Flames, but I suppose you'll do." Minato continued. "Purgatory Dragon's Hammer!" He shouted, gathering magic power in his combined hands and engulfed them in hellish flames before slamming Aster with it.
Aster fell to the ground as he groaned in pain. "This is why kids shouldn't be allowed to fight in a war." Minato taunted. "You can see why I want to fight your Hellfire Dragon Slayer, right? Our Dragon Slayer magic is actually fairly similar."
Aster got up from the ground. "Dino King's Ferocity Fang!" He yelled, swinging both of his arms downwards after bringing them up, sending a wave of golden energy in the shape of a large fang towards Minato.
Minato was thrown backwards as he coughed from the debris. "A King Dino Slayer? So that magic isn't just a myth." He said, getting up. "You have rare magic for a kid. Even more rare than Dragon Slayer magic."
"Purgatory Dragon's Roar!" Minato yelled, unleashing a stream of hot fire towards Aster.
"Prehistoric Dino King's Royal Roar!" Aster shouted, a blast of golden powerful energy was released from his mouth.
The two attacks collided and caused an explosion, sending both Aster and Minato backwards. "Purgatory Dragon's Embers!" Minato shouted, gathering magic power in his hands and fires small orbs of fire that exploded on impact.
Aster ended up dodging all of them. "Dino King's Slash!" He yelled, swiping his right hand upwards, resulting in a wave of golden energy shaped like a three claw marked slash.
"Purgatory Dragon's Torture Whip!" Minato shouted, gathering magic power in his hand and spreading it to his fingers, creating five whips of hellish fire and sending it towards Aster.
"Dino King's Scale Armour!" Aster yelled, covering his cheeks and arms with golden powerful scales, defending himself from the attack.
"I have to end this match quickly..." Aster thinks to himself. "Dino Slayer's Secret Art!" He exclaimed.
"Rage of the Dinos!" Aster finished, His body is surrounded by a dense golden magic energy before he then swings his head back while opening his mouth, to which he then swings it forwards as he releases an immensely powerful shattering roar that goes in every direction.
Minato flew back into a wall, not able to get back up. Aster sighed to himself, finally glad that the battle was finally over.
"Now, time to go see if my guildmates are in need of any help..." Aster mumbled as he went on his way.
Romin looked at Sebastian, who was still unresponsive. "You have to wake up, Bash. The guild won't be the same without you. Who the hell will I be able to be mischievous with?" He thinks to himself.
The long black haired male looked over to Raden, who was cuddled close under his partner's right hand, trying to find warmth as he rested. "And what about Raden? Do you really want to leave him behind, Bash? You truly are an asshole if you prefer death over your friends." Romin thought.
"I hate seeing Bash so vulnerable like this." Romin stated as Nox looked at him.
"You and me both, Romin." Nox agreed. "I remember this one actually good memory of Sebastian and I. It was when I challenged him in a match. If I won, I would become an S-Class wizard."
"That's right. In order to become an S-Class wizard, you have to defeat Bash." Romin said, remembering one of the rules of the guild. Since Sebastian was the leader of the Assembly of Ash, you had to prove your strength to join the S-Class ranks.
"Orion, Maxim, Aster, Massorao, and I. We were all able to defeat Sebastian in a match and earned our title." Nox said.
Romin stayed silent, looking at Sebastian. "Is there really nothing you can do?" He asked.
"Absolutely nothing. I'm sorry, Romin." Nox responded as he sighed. "We can only hope for the best and just stay here to protect Sebastian."
Meanwhile, in Sebastian's head, he was in Atlas's old cave. "I miss him, Vince." Sebastian said as Vincent looked over at him. "The day Atlas Flame left was the day I left the Sun Village. I spent days looking for him. I wanted to know why he left me, you know?"
"I'm sure he had his reasons." Vincent answered.
Sebastian scoffed. "He's a bastard who only cares about himself. He just up and left without even a goodbye. Who the hell does that?" He questioned.
"Do you think about him?"
"I do." Sebastian replied. "I try not to think about him too much. As it constantly pains me that he just up and left like that. I was different from the giants of the village. So when I first encountered Atlas, I felt like I actually had a father, since as far as I knew, I had no parents."
"Oh, how wrong you are, Sebastian." Vincent thinks to himself. "I wish I could tell you. Help you remember. But I can't let you remember those memories. It would destroy you mentally and emotionally. That's why I have to be that wall to keep those memories from invading into your mind."
Vincent remembers the first time he met Sebastian. He was only five years old when he had met him.
(Flashback)
"Sebastian... Sebastian, wake up."
A five year old Sebastian opened his eyes to find a voice talking to him. "Who... are you?" He asked.
"My name is Vincent. Do not be afraid. I haven't come to harm you."
"Mama and Papa always tell me that but they always lie." Sebastian said. "Are you lying to me?"
"Of course not. I promise, I only want to protect you." Vincent answered.
"Protect me from what?" Sebastian questioned.
"From your parents. I can help you forget everything that they've done to you. You can escape and live your life happily. You don't have to live in this hell you call a home anymore." Vincent replied.
"What do I have to do?"
Vincent chuckled. "You sure ask a lot of questions for a kid." He responded. "All you have to do is give me permission to being my vessel, and I'll make a wall in your mind, blocking all of the horrible memories that you have."
"Alright. Then I give you permission to use me as your vessel."
(End Flashback)
Vincent smiled as he looked over to Sebastian. Even though his main objective was protecting him from his parents, he also protected him from people who wanted to cause harm to him.
Unfortunately, he was powerless to stop Rose from draining his blood.
In the Black Sun infirmary, Souta had entered, catching the attention of both Nox and Romin. "Master!" Romin exclaimed, looking at the white haired male.
Souta only nodded to him as he looked towards Nox. "Anything?" He asked.
"Sorry, Master Souta. He hasn't made any progress on recovering. I've tried everything." Nox answered. "It's up to him whether he wants to wake up or not."
"I see." Souta said.
"Is there anything you can do, Master? Can't you use your healing magic?" Romin questioned.
"Unfortunately, my healing magic won't help him from attacks like this." Souta responded. "Keep an eye on him. We don't need Cursed Dragons getting any ideas and interfering with his recovery."
"Right."
"What will you do, Master?" Romin asked.
Souta made eye contact with him. "I think it's about time I pay Takumi a visit." He answered, leaving the infirmary room.
A/N: Sorry if this chapter seemed kinda short. I pretty much ran out of ideas to put. Also, the small flashback has to deal with Sebastian's origins, which I'll get more into in the next arc.
Hope you enjoyed!
