Here's the next long and intense chapter! Enjoy!

As Mike got closer and closer to the storm, he saw spores whirring through the air. He stopped and looked up and around, making sure he was, in fact, seeing the spores. Not to mention, it had also gotten colder. He looked back down and caught a spore, seeing it on his palm before it blew away.

"Hey!" he heard a man shout, making him look straight ahead. He saw a man, then a young Billy not too far from him. The young boy was wearing baseball attire while the man wore a baseball cap. "Stop!" He stopped him by his shoulder and made him face him. "What the hell is wrong with you, Billy?! What did we talk about?!" Shocked to see this, Mike walked closer to see what was going on. He saw the man pointing somewhere. "You gotta slide! You gotta SLIDE!"

"I-I know..." Young Billy replied, his voice sobby.

"Oh wait..." He grabbed his arm. "Are you afraid to get hurt? Is that it?!"

"N-no-"

"Then what is it?!" Mike felt mad at that man already for treating him like this. "Are you a pussy?! Is that what I'm raising?! A pussy instead of a son?!"

Young Billy cried and got out of the man's grasp. "Leave me alone, Dad!" He then ran away, dropping his mitt.

"You know what?! Run! Run, like you always do!"

That man...was his dad? His DAD? Hopper was a great dad, so the boy definitely knew what a bad one was like, never mind his dead biological one. Mike chased after Young Billy, but not before sneering at his father for being so horrible.

He chased the boy into the storm, which was like a sandstorm. Just as he entered into it, he heard his father yell, "Where the hell were you last night?! Where WERE you?!"

"I was with Wendy!" his mother yelled back.

"Stop lying to me!" He stopped, losing sight of Young Billy, and looked around, wondering where that terrible arguing was coming from. He then saw a memory of Billy's parents arguing in front of him.

"Why would I lie to you, Neil?!"

He pointed at her. "You saw HIM again, didn't you?! DIDN'T YOU?!" He got closer to her, but she shoved him away.

"Get away from me!" Mike looked forlorn to see this, remembering his heated argument six months ago with Terry and Hopper. But for parents to argue in front of their own kids...

"I SAID GET AWAY FROM ME!" She then threw a plate at him, breaking it.

"You...you BITCH! WHORE!"

Young Billy ran in and shouted, "DON'T HURT HER!" He tried to push his father back, but he was shoved into the ground.

"YOU MONSTER!" Billy's mom exclaimed. Mike's jaw dropped and he looked terrified now.

"Shut the hell up!" He then slapped her, her screaming and falling to the ground.

"MOM!" Young Billy cried out to her. Mike covered her mouth, backing away from the memory.

"I-I don't understand," a sobby Young Billy said. The freckled boy turned around and saw him sitting next to his bed, holding a phone. "Why not?" He got closer and saw that he was crying. "Please, Mom, don't do this! Come back home! No! How long? How long?!" Mike could relate to wanting his mom back, but due to the fact that Billy was Max's step-brother...

"Get back here!" a slightly older Billy shouted, making Mike look to the direction that came from. He saw Billy punching a kid on the ground, then stopping. "Get up! What, are you too much of a pussy to fight me?! You scared?!" He sounded...just like his father. The boy got up and kicked the kid. "Come on! Fight me! Get up and fight me, pussy! PUSSY!"

"Billy, I want you to meet someone important," Billy's father said, having Mike look at another memory. The young teen Billy faced his father and a younger Max. Mike got closer. "This is your new sister, Maxine."

"Max," the younger girl corrected him. Billy did not look happy about this.

"Shake her hand."

"Who's there?!" the current Billy shouted. Mike looked away again and saw some sort of opening. "I said, who's there?!" He walked towards that opening, shielding himself from the storm with his arms. He then heard current Billy screaming in struggle...then in pain. Mike continued braving through the storm until he was finally in that opening.

He looked around, seeing the steel mill. The sky was red with red lightning, but that was it. It had to be. He walked towards it, only feeling more chilled from the calmer wind. He saw Billy's car...wrecked, like before...in that night when he saw him. He then looked up, seeing that he was in the eye of the storm, hence why this spot was calm.

"I found it," he finally said to the group. "I'm in front of the mill."

"What's it called?" Andrew asked as he got up from the chair he and Terry were sitting on.

He looked up at the sign, reading...

"Brimborn...Steelworks." The long-haired man then walked to the phonebook and grabbed it, opening it up and looking for it. Terry got up with him and looked with him.

"Steelworks...steelworks..." he muttered before the dirty-blonde-haired woman pointed at the name.

"There," she said. "Brimborn Steelworks, 6522 Cherry Oak Drive." She looked up at him with wide eyes, then at the kids. "That's close." They became worried again.

He walked into the mill, seeing that it was completely bare and empty. Big, but empty.

"The inside is big...but there's nothing."

Terry looked at Andrew, then him at her, making them both nod. "Just as Stacey described it," he said.

"Do you see anybody? Any soldiers?" the woman asked him.

He then heard some yelling from what was the entrance of the basement. He walked towards there and stepped down the stairs...just as Billy and Heather were getting up. He got out of their way, being at the bottom.

"BILLY!" shouted Stacey. He saw her tied up against a pole, as well as Heather's parents.

"HEATHER!" shouted Tom.

"HEATHER, PLEASE!" shouted Janet.

"BILLY! KEEP FIGHTING AGAINST IT!" That made Billy stop, much to Mike's surprise.

As they kept yelling...

"I think I see a memory. Stacey is tied up and so are Heather's parents." Andrew froze, looking horrified. Terry held his shoulder for support. "They're...trying to get them out of it."

"Out of...what?" Lucas asked.

"Their possession."

"A-are there any Russian soldiers?" Jane asked. "They might be hearing a weird hat, but they're dressed like our military."

He looked around, seeing nobody else.

"I don't see any." Everyone looked at each other with horrified faces.

"Mike, get out of there! Now!"

The boy closed his eyes and did just that. Just then, he reversed his fall. The memory flashes came back in reversed order: Billy's crash, the night Billy tried to run away from the Mind Flayer and got pulled into the basement of the mill, Heather getting out of the ice-covered bathtub before getting sucked down, him seeing Mike the night he got Heather, him seeing Stacey and the Holloways getting possessed by that monster, him choking Mike, the Mind Flayer for a second, and his time in the sauna.

Finally, he got back on Billy's tight grip. But then he muttered, "Your turn." Before the boy had time to process that, the teen pushed him and another person grabbed him from behind, putting their hand over his mouth. His eyes were wide in shock.

...

He took off his blindfold quickly, panting with his nose bleeding from both nostrils. He looked around, suddenly confused on the change of his surroundings. He was in the woods at night, with the cabin in sight. He sat up and looked at the cabin, then around again. "Jane?!" he shouted. There was no answer. "Terry?!" No answer. He huffed and ran towards the cabin, opening it up and getting in, looking just how he remembered it. "Jane?! Terry?!" He wandered around the whole cabin in a panic, trying to look for everyone. "Lucas?! Will?! Andrew?!" He finally got into his room. "Where are you guys?!"

"They're not here, kid," Stacey's voice answered. He gasped and got out of his room, seeing Stacey enter into the cabin and closing the door behind her. "They can't hear you." He looked scared.

"Wh-what did you do to them?!" he yelled at her.

"You shouldn't have looked for Billy." He clenched his fists, seeing that her eyes were glassy. "I've already seen where you lived, so you fell into a trap you set up for yourself." He thought he saw someone outside earlier. He looked distressed, his eyes getting teary. "And because of that, we can see you." She slowly walked towards him while he slowly stepped back. "We can all see you." He began to sniffle. She pointed at him. "You...let us in." Flashes of him touching the Demogorgon in the darkness and him opening up the Gate appeared in both of their minds. "And now...you are going to let us stay."

His breathing became shaky, his throat forming a lump. Thoughts of him making a mistake raced through his head as the curly-haired woman continued, "Don't you see, Mike? We've been building an army." Her cold expression got a smile, making him more distressed. "A whole army..." She pointed at him again. "Just for you." He was getting backed to Hopper's room. "All that work, all that pain...all for you." He sobbed. "And now it's time..." He got backed into his father's bed as she entered into the room. "...to end it. We are going to end you." He began crying and sobbing more. "And once we end you, we'll also end your friends, including mine."

He shook his head, tears streaming down his cheeks. "NO!" he shouted.

"And after that...we will end..." A tear escaped her eye. "Everyone."

"GO AWAY!" he yelled from the top of his lungs as he used his powers throw her out of the room. She crashed through the windows of the cabin.

Finally, Mike took off his blindfold, revealing his puffy, red eyes and distressed face, and yelled, "NOOOOOO!" Jane was quick to get by his side.

His girlfriend hugged him and said softly, "Mike, it's okay. It's alright. I got you." He held onto her tight and cried into her shoulder, breathing quickly and heavily. She stroked his hair.

"Oh my God..." Terry muttered, getting up and crouching down to hug him too. He really needed this, but...

All of that...for him...

Tonight on the 4th of July, Mayor Kline's Fun Fair was bustling with lights, fun, and joy. Kids and adults alike were trying out the rides and booths and eating all the junk food provided. Three of the attendees at the fair were surprisingly Becky, Carl, and Tina. The woman had her hair in its usual style, wearing a short-sleeved yellow shirt, knee-high jean shorts, short socks, and white sneakers. Carl was dressed in a baby-blue collared shirt, gray slacks, and black boat shoes. Tina wore a red, white, and blue onesie and had her hair in a matching bow on top. Becky was pushing her in the stroller.

They already tried a couple of booths when they got here-well, Becky did. Out of the two, she managed to win a small stuffed toy for her daughter. She was having fun so far. And seeing his wife happy made Carl happy.

Just as Mayor Kline made his entrance at one spot, Becky spotted a ferris wheel, making her gasp and look cheery. "Oh yes!" She and Tina went to it, Carl trying to catch up.

"Wait, Becky, we can't bring Tina for the ride!" he cried out.

She stopped in front of the man operating the machine, the two looking surprised to see each other. "Becky?" the man asked.

"Jimmy the Second?" she asked. "Funny seeing you again, old man."

He laughed. "Likewise, little girl." He looked at her baby, and then her husband finally getting to her side. "You can't bring your baby on this ride."

"I know, but you can look after her, right?" Hearing that surprised Carl.

Jimmy the Second shrugged and replied, "I can." They exchanged smiles as she gave the ragged man the stroller.

Carl leaned towards his wife and whispered, "Can we really trust him to look after our daughter, honey?"

She gave him a reassuring look. "Jimmy's a father. He knows what he's doing." She then grabbed a ticket from her purse and held out her hand for one of the tickets. He sighed and gave her one. She walked towards Jimmy the Second, secretly pulling out a five-dollar bill with the tickets. He raised his eyebrows at her.

"For the fireworks?" he asked her in a whisper. She winked at him, making him grin and take them. "Alright, you two, get in."

The married couple did just that, getting settled into the cabin and pulling the bar down. Becky saw that Carl looked nervous. He never looked that way before, so she asked, "You nervous, hun?"

He avoided looking at her. "You know I never...take joy in amusement rides before."

She laughed. "Because you never try them before."

"Well-" He got cut off when Jimmy the Second pulled the lever and had the ride moving. He gasped while Becky grinned, the cabin rocking a little.

"Ah, here we go!"

"Oh no..." her husband muttered, gripping hard on the bar with wide eyes.

She placed a hand over one of his, making him look at her. "It's okay, Carl. I'll be right beside you. Just take a deep breath and don't look down." He nodded and closed his eyes, breathing in and out slowly.

When their cabin reached to the top though, Jimmy the Second pulled the lever again to stop it, making the dark-haired man confused. "Whoa, why did it just stop?" He looked at his wife, who was grinning. "Becky, what's going on?"

"I might've slipped Jimmy the Second a five with those tickets," she answered.

"What? Why?"

She pointed down at the cabin with her hands. "These are the best seats in the house!"

"Best seats for wha-" He got cut off again, but this time by the firework show beginning. Both of them quickly looked up at the sky, seeing a red firework first. "Whoa!" There were white and blue fireworks after. It was an entire amazing light show.

"Happy Fourth of July!" they heard Mayor Kline exclaim cheerfully.

"Isn't this great, honey?!" Becky asked, enjoying the show.

Carl smiled and answered, "It is! Being able to see them from here is proving to be worth it!"

She smiled and rested her head on his shoulder. "If only Terry and the kids arrived at the same time we did..." She remembered being little and bribing Jimmy the Second so that she and Terry could see the fireworks from this height. It was magical for the both of them.

"I'm sure they'll come up soon."

"You're right, but for now..." They got closer together and lovingly watched the fireworks go off.

Below, Jimmy the Second was enjoying the fireworks show too, holding up Tina and saying, "Look, lil' Becky. Ain't those pretty?" She looked up at the exploding lights in the sky, sucking on the stuffed animal.

She was entranced by the fireworks, but she heard weird noises from the forest. She looked away from the bright lights to see the trees of the near forest move and rustle their leaves. She didn't like that, so she stopped sucking the stuffed animal and started to cry.

The ragged man looked down at her, looking sympathetic and bouncing her with his arms. "Hey, hey, it's alright, lil' Becky. The lights won't hurt ya." Of course, he was completely oblivious to the trees rustling, just like Becky and Carl were...

Jonathan had eventually joined up with Kali, having no luck with the other side of the mall either. They had to wait until it was time to see Back to the Future, so they'll check in with the rest of the group, so she got out the walkie-talkie and asked, "Hello? Can anyone hear me?"

Back at the Hoppers' cabin, everyone was silent, hearing fireworks go off in the distance. Jane wished that if all of this stuff didn't happen, she and everyone else would be having so much fun with Becky and Uncle Carl and Tina. Terry immediately thought of the memory of her and Becky seeing the show on top of the ferris wheel. If this wasn't happening...

Everyone heard Kali's voice through the walkie, making the dirty-blonde-haired woman get it out and reply, "We can hear you, sweetheart. Any luck?"

"No," she answered. "We couldn't find anything."

"Did Mike see any Russians in the steel mill?" Jonathan asked.

"No," Terry solemnly answered. "Chances are that they aren't even aware of this happening."

They looked at each other worriedly. That was still bad news, since it meant two big problems instead of one. "What should they do?" Kali asked.

Both teens looked thoughtful, then Jonathan gestured his friend to give him the walkie. She did and he said into it, "Okay, can you guys meet up with us at the mall then? I'm sure it'll still be open."

Terry looked at everyone for answers. All of them nodded, so she said, "Okay, we'll be there as soon as possible."

"Be safe," both the teens said.

Terry smiled a little, even Will and Jane too. "You too."

Kali put the walkie back in her purse, her and Jonathan taking deep breaths and keeping hope that they'll be alright. She had also hoped that Steve and Dustin will turn up at the movies...wherever they could be in the movies.

To keep things light, Jonathan asked, "Should we get popcorn?" She gave him a weird look, making him nervously smile. "To, y'know, not look suspicious?"

She smiled and shrugged. "I am getting a little hungry anyway." They then went into the theater to get some popcorn.

She put the walkie down as Andrew asked, "Could you repeat what Stacey said again?"

"Sh-she and Billy were building something," the telekinetic boy answered, his nose and eyes still red from crying earlier. Jane was still next to him, but now Lucas and Will were on the opposite side as well. "And it was all...for me."

"Building something..." Lucas muttered before looking up at everyone. "That has to mean the Flayed, right?"

"What else?" Jane replied, making him stand up and pace around.

"So he has been building an army, just as we thought before."

"But he's not building it to spread," Will said.

"He's building it to stop Michael," Terry added.

The brown-haired tomboy cleared her throat. "So, last year, Mike closed the gate on him."

"Which definitely pi-ticked him off," Max stated, censoring herself for Terry.

Lucas nodded at his girlfriend. "Royally."

"That means that the Mind Flayer knows that the only person that can stop him is you." She looked at him worriedly, making him look at her. "But if you're out of the way..."

The African-American boy shook his head. "Game over."

He drew his lips to a flat line and looked down. "She also said that...they'll kill all of you too." Everyone did not take that well, either looking terrified or forlorn.

"Great," Max muttered. Jane took Mike's hand and squeezed it for comfort.

Terry stood up as well as Andrew, who was getting out his keys. "That means we really need to get out of here," the long-haired man said. "Right now." Everyone nodded in agreement and stood up from their spots too. However, the adults heard a faint screeching noise, making them look puzzled. They turned around and walked towards the window, confusing the kids.

"Mama?" Jane asked, but she shushed her. They heard that noise again, their worry skyrocketing.

"Do you kids hear that?" Andrew asked. Everyone went silent for a minute, trying to hear what they were hearing.

"M-maybe it's just the fireworks?" Will suggested, not sounding sure of that. There was then a distant thudding noise, instantly throwing away that idea. Everyone looked around, their guards up and some of their eyes wide. The auburn-haired boy froze, not breathing as goosebumps raised up on his neck. "He's near."

Instantly, the adults barged outside, the kids following suit. Terry was leading them to the path that was safe to drive on before stopping. Everyone did the same, seeing some trees rustling in the distance. All of them looked in horror when there was the Mind Flayer himself, in the flesh of the Flayed. He knocked down two trees and screeched, making everyone's blood run cold.

Especially Mike's.

Driving away while it was moving that quickly was out of the question for now.

Much to the dismay of Dustin and Erica, Steve and Robin were drugged and acting really off because of it. Maybe the curly-haired boy could ask Steve about one thing. "Okay, listen to me, Steve, they're gonna be looking for us when we get up there," he said in a serious voice, though Steve looked like he didn't give a shit. "On the off-chance that Kali might not be in the mall today, I need you to tell where you parked your car."

"Oh my God..." the teen muttered, red eyes wide as he looked away from him. "I'm gonna see Kali again."

Dustin looked iffy. "Well, there's a 50-50 chance, but-"

"I hope she's at the food court. I'll be happy and hungry."

"Oh man, I would KILL for a corn dog right now!" Robin chimed in.

He grinned and cooed, "Yeeeeeaaaah..."

Dustin sighed. "Food? Fine, you can have as much food as you want..." Both looked incredibly happy to hear that. "IF you tell me where you parked your car." What Steve was going to say after, neither him nor Erica were prepared for.

Terry opened up a shed near the cabin, switching on a light with a string. They both looked for anything that could use as an effective weapon against the Mind Flayer. Instantly, she found Jim's shotgun against the wall. She was thankful that Jim taught her how to properly use one after the gate closed. She grabbed it and checked to see if there were any bullets. Andrew found an axe upon a stump while looking around the outside of the cabin. He marched towards it and managed to pull it out. Terry joined up with him, locked and loaded. They both nodded before heading back into the cabin.

When they got in, Jane and Mike put a table on top of another one covering the window. They shifted it so that it could stay, the tomboy nodding at her boyfriend. "That's good," she told him. Max put up a folded chair in front of the barricaded window while the rest of the boys lifted the bookshelf to cover the entrance to Hopper's room. After that was done, Lucas closed the door to Mike's room. Terry and Andrew carried the last of the couches together and propped it against the front door, grunting.

The dirty-blonde-haired woman walked to a table where she put down the shotgun and looked at the kids. "Get away from the windows," she commanded them. They did as told and in a second, all of them were grouped up in the middle of the cabin. She grabbed the shotgun, looking around with everyone else. They all knew the Mind Flayer would try to get it. It was only a matter of when.

The monster's steps were powerful enough to make one of the lights squeak. Andrew gripped on the axe hard. Another step make one of the lamps squeak and move again. Another made the dishes clatter with each other, everyone tensing up. Mike looked and saw it was just those dishes making the noise. He was close to Jane, wanting to protect her.

"H-he's close," Will said, his voice slightly shaky.

Everyone began breathing heavily as the ceiling began letting out dust from the steps. They then heard leaves rustling. Mike looked up to see branches being pulled away from one window. The lights began flickering and another step made one of the mugs hung up on the wall fall and shatter. Everyone tensed up again, looking at the glass before continuing to look around.

The steps have stopped, making Max ask in a mutter, "Where the hell did it go...?" Nobody kept their guard down, but the kids that had no means of defense looked scared. Will looked at the windows...then at the wall near the kitchen.

The second he looked there, one of the Mind Flayer's tentacles burst through it, screeching with its flower-shaped mouth. Everyone screamed and moved the hell away from the center. Andrew was separated from everyone else, the kids up against a wall and Terry at another. Mike had held his friends and girlfriend back, eyes wide as he saw the tentacle get right in front of him. He looked horrified before Andrew grunted and swung the axe down at it. It screamed, getting down and away from Mike and the kids. He let out a cry and swung the axe down again, making its cut deeper.

Suddenly, as he was going to for a third and final swing, it turned around and slapped him away, having him crash against the glass shelf and lose his axe along the way. He screamed and groaned before seeing the tentacle come right for him. He gasped and froze in the spot, unable to get away as it quickly got closer to him.

"NO!" Terry shouted as she ran and got into position with her shotgun. She shot at it, making it screech and face her. It screamed, but she didn't let up. She shot it again, then again. It flinched with every shot before the gun ran out of ammo. The woman cursed under her breath before it got closer to her. She got backed against a wall, looking at it in terror.

It lunged for her and she closed her eyes and turned her head away. But nothing happened. She opened her eyes, seeing that it was being forcibly pulled back...by Mike.

His head was tilted down and he looked angry. His hand was slightly shaking, but still. He focused on its head. It let out cries of pain as his nose started to bleed. He then grunted as he moved his hand down, ripping its head off of the body. It shrieked loudly and was bleeding. The tentacle quickly slinked back out of the hole it bursted out from.

Andrew caught his breath and went to grab his axe. Lucas, who was nearest to the hole, said in a shocked voice, "Holy shit." After he said that, another tentacle burst through another wall, Mike quick to face it and use his powers to get it away. It was trembling and screeching. Then another tentacle went through the hole the other created and he did the same thing. He was panting hard, but wouldn't let up. His eyes were wide again, dealing with the strength of using his powers on two of these things. He looked at the both of them, trying his damnedest to get them back.

Terry and Jane looked at him in complete worry, breathing very heavily. Mike's expression got angry again and his pants turned into grunts. He gritted his teeth and looked at the both of these things. With all of his might, he screamed and moved his hands down, decapitating those two things and letting them slink away. He sighed deeply, getting another nosebleed and sweating. For a few seconds, it seemed like it gave up.

Then, in a mere second, the Mind Flayer's mouth tentacle burst from the ceiling and grabbed his leg, piercing through his skin. He screamed and was getting dragged away, his fingers scraping the floor. Jane was extremely quick to run to him and yell, "MIKE!" As he was dragged up into the air, she grabbed his arms tightly, never to let them go. "NO!" He continued screaming as he was getting pulled away by the Mind Flayer's bite and pulled in by his girlfriend, who was terrified. "MIKE, HANG ON!" Lucas then ran in to pull him back, then Will, then Max. All of them were grunting as they tried to pull him away from the tentacle's grasp.

Terry's eyes began to well up, not ready to lose him. She got out more bullets for the shotgun and quickly loaded them into it. "PULL!" Jane cried out, the kids all trying their best to do so. "MAMA, SHOOT IT!" Mike shrieked and moved around in a panicked struggle as the monster roared. She got into position and shot it at the head. It flinched, but didn't let go of him. She gritted her teeth and shot at it again and again. It still wasn't letting up, despite the blood being spilled.

Andrew saw that he could reach to the tentacle, so he ran and let out a cry, swinging it down and chopping it. It shrieked in pain, which made the man do it again, the cut getting deeper. That coupled with another gunshot to the face made it roar ferociously. Terry still shot at it, Mike was still screaming, and the kids were still pulling him with all their strength. But now they were being pulled with him, their feet dragging against the rug. Andrew let out another cry and chopped it again. Almost there. Terry shot her last bullet and Jane cried out again, "PULL!" Andrew took one last swing...and the tentacle was finally chopped off.

Mike and the rest of the kids fell to the floor, panting and sweating. Jane, with teary eyes, moved Mike's bangs away from his face as she asked in a trembling voice, "A-are you okay, Mike? Are you okay?" Despite the fact that he was sweating a lot, had his nose bleeding from both nostrils, and looked extremely tired, he nodded. However, she spotted the head of the tentacle still on his leg, moving around, screeching and spilling its blood everyone. She sat up and got to it, grabbing it and trying to pull it off. After several seconds, she yanked it away, Mike screaming loudly and painfully. The head chittered and crawled out of the cabin.

The Mind Flayer's face was still seen through the hole of the cabin, making everyone but the freckled boy get away. He wheezed, his eyes watery from the pain in his leg, but looked up at it in sheer anger. It roared as he slowly stood up, taking a few steps towards it. He limped due to the bite, the blood from his bite dripping down to his shoe. The kids grouped back up with Terry and Andrew, who held them back.

The Mind Flayer roared into the cabin, but he screamed from the top of his lungs, using both of his hands to get it away. It yelped a little, everyone's mouths agape. His head slowly began to slip open, then Mike threw down his hands at opposite directions, successfully splitting its head in half as it screamed in agony. He panted hard again before stumbling backward. With the shotgun away, Terry managed to catch him, everyone seeing that this was their cue to get the hell out of there.

Everyone was clamoring to go, Andrew racing to the front door and pulling the couch away from the entrance. Terry gave Mike to Jane and Lucas to help him, the kids wrapping his arms around their shoulders for support. The adults finally got the couch away and opened the door, yelling, "Come on, come on!" The kids wasted no time getting the hell out of there. The adults ran after them. The monster was still roaring, but they still kept going.

They all reached to Andrew's van, the side doors being open and Mike, Jane, and Lucas being the first to get in. Andrew got into the driver's seat, Terry the passengers, and Will and Max getting in after their three friends. They shut the door quickly, Mike groaning in pain. "DRIVE!" Jane yelled at the man. He got his keys out and turned on the ignition. Not wasting one more second, he pushed the gas and they all drove away from the monster. They could still hear it roaring as Andrew quickly drove away, but for now...they were safe.

Jane continued crying, looking down at Mike's bite. It was a gnarly one, especially since he was bleeding from it. "Oh my God..." Will muttered in horror.

Lucas looked at Andrew. "Dude, you got any first-aid in here we can use?!"

"Uh..." He looked at Terry for a second. "Terry, look in the glove box." She nodded as she opened it up right in front of her. There were many things scattered in it, but nothing that would help Mike's wound. She shook his head at him.

"Nothing," she replied loud enough for the kids to hear.

"Goddamn it..." Lucas muttered angrily.

Mike winced at the pain the bite was giving, having Jane hug him. "Mike, oh my God..." she whimpered. He hugged her back to try and forget about the pain.

It did hurt Will to see him like this, so he demanded, "Find a convenience store or something!"

"None of them would be open at this hour-" Andrew stated.

"Please!" Jane cried out, sniffling. The adults exchanged glances, then nodded as Andrew finally got out of the woods and onto the road.
