Gifts

Location: 1-A Dorms.

Month: January.

Time: 7:00 pm.

"He's gonna hate it," Momo cried, her head buried into her crossed arms on the common room table.

"No he's not," Jiro replied, sitting directly across from her; calmly taking a sip of tea from her mug.

"Yes, he is."

"No he's not, quit being paranoid."

"I'm not being paranoid, I'm just being realistic."

"Realistically paranoid?"

"Yes, I mean no! I'm just being…upfront about all of it…"

"Upfront about something that hasn't even happened yet."

"Yes."

"That you have no reason to fear until said thing happens?"

"Yes."

"That you have no idea about how it will go in any degree?"

"Correct."

"Oh now I get it."

"See?"

"Yeah I do, we call that paranoia."

An elongated, and painful sigh bellowed it's way out from the ponytailed heroine, wearing a sad and anxiety filled expression as she rose her head from her arms, propping her chin on them in order to look at her friend, "Oh great, now I have to worry about being crazy to."

"Well being in love will do that to you," Jiro mumbled under her breath, only loud enough for the two of them to hear, causing Momo's face to transform from her normal pale pigmentation to resemble the same shade as her hero outfit.

"J-Jiro," Momo raised her index to her mouth to silence the rocker, shifting her eyes back and forth from her to the couch currently occupied by Kaminari, Kirishima, Mineta, and Mina whom were all too entranced to notice their conversation, focused on enjoying the leisurely activity of playing video games on the television, "D-don't say that so loud!"

"Hey you're the one whisper shouting."

"I am not whisper shouting!"

"Yes you are."

"I am not, my voice is perfectly low enough."

"Oh really?"

"Yes, really, I doubt anyone besides you can hear me right now."

"I can hear you," Eri looked up from her cat themed coloring book (I'll let you guess who bought that for her), chiming in on the conversation at hand. The comment making it difficult for the rocker to stifle her oncoming laughter, as her face contorted into a smile, whilst Momo merely pouted at her own incompetent projection skills.

"Thank you for your input Eri," Momo said before escaping into her arms once again.

"Is she okay," Eri asked with wide eyed concern, halting her coloring, "I didn't I make her mad did I?"

"N-no Eri, you didn't make her mad," Jiro rubbed the top of the child's head to ease her worry, "Big Sis Momo is just scared that-"

"Don't say it," Momo lifted her eyes from her comfort zone.

"What, it's just Eri, whose she gonna tell?"

"Mr. Aizawa."

"Oh don't worry about that he already knows."

"He what?"

"Yeah, he figured it out months ago."

"Oh…wonderful…"

"It's not exactly hard to figure out with you being so…subtle."

"What do you mean?"

"Wellllllllll."

3 Months Ago In the 1-A Classroom.

"Hey, Yaoyorozo, can I ask you something," Todoroki asked, looking over from his desk.

"Y-yes Todoroki, what's on your mind," Momo turned her attention away from her algebraic equations book.

"Is there something on my face?"

"…Ummmm."

"I'm not talking about the scar by the way."

"I figured, but no, nothing that I can see anyway."

"Well then is there something wrong with my hair or eyes?"

"I feel like you'd notice that before anyone else would."

"That's correct but I just wanna be careful."

"O-oh, well no, everything's perfect as usual."

"Perfect?"

"I uh," Momo quickly darts her eyes away from him in embarrassment, "I-I-I-I uh mean p-p-perfectly fine! Yes! Perfectly fine, mhm yep, everything's in tip top shape, nothing wrong with you at all."

"Oh, well that's a relief at least," he breathed a sigh of relief, "If that's the case then I have one other question."

"Y-yes Todoroki?"

"Why do you keep looking over at me everyday?"

Momo's face went from red to deathly pale, as she slumped over in her seat, quickly burying her face in her textbook acting as if it would make her disappear from the world, "I-I-I l-look over because uh, I w-w-wanna make sure you're getting the right answers on your schoolwork, yes that's it, mhm nothing else at all!"

"Oh, alright, kinda odd that you stare so long at paper's though."

"I-I-I-I just really care about academics."

"Enough to smile and blush at it?"

"…Yes, completely."

"Huh, interesting."

Meanwhile, during this whole interaction they had gained the attention of a few other's in the classroom, Aizawa was just watching all of this transpire with a raised eyebrow as he put on his sleeping bag, Midoriya and Jiro just glanced at each other then back to them, Bakugo didn't care at all, and Mineta tore up his assignment with his teeth in pure jealousy.

The Present

"Th-that's just one example."

"One of five."

"What are the other four?"

"Well, there was the time you hurt your leg on the rock climb, then he carried you to the nurse's office, and you passed out in his arms."

"O-oh...um."

2 Month's Ago in the U-A Hallway.

"T-T-Todoroki it's fine," Momo stuttered, shaking uncontrollably in Shoto's arms as they made their way to Recovery Girl's office; the Todoroki carrying her bridal style, "M-M-My leg is not that bad off, I can walk on my own, you don't need to trouble yourself."

"No it's alright," Shoto calmly replied, looking over at her beet red face, "It's no trouble at all, you're injured and I really wanted to help you."

"W-While I appreciate the c-c-consideration and generosity, I didn't hurt myself that bad, I-I should be fine really."

"But you looked really hurt after the fall."

"W-W-What, nooo, just a small sprain nothing I can't handle," Momo's left eye fluttered open and closed as she bit her lip, the pain shooting through her ankle as the memory ran through her mind.

"Yaoyorozu, you're twitching."

"Th-There's something in my eye."

"There is?"

"Y-Yes, just an eyelash," Momo lied as she rubbed her eye, doing her best to ignore her leg, causing Shoto to sigh.

...

"You know you don't have to pretend."

"Huh?"

"It's okay that you're hurt Yaoyorozu, well it's not but, you don't need to cover it up for my sake, I don't mind helping you."

"I...I know you don't," she said, lowering her hand from her eye.

"Then, why are you doing it?"

"B-B-Because."

"Hm?"

"B-Because...I just don't want to trouble you socially."

"...Huh?"

"I-I-I mean, you're here, carrying me to the nurses office in a way that implies somethings, no shame no hesitation, it...would appear to some that you and I are-...a-a-a-are-"

"Classmates?"

"N-No."

"Friends?"

"N-N-No."

"A team?"

"No."

"Roomates?"

"H-H-How even," she giggled, "N-No not that."

"Ohhhhhhhhhh," he nodded.

"Y-You realized?"

"Yes, I believe so."

"So then you understand that we must look like-"

"Heroes in training who will be doing this professionally in a few years time?"

"..."

"Is that wrong?"

"...Hehehehe," she laughed again, confusing the poor boy greatly.

"What?"

"Y-Yes, that, exactly that Todoroki."

"Ah, alright, I understand now."

"G-G-Good, glad we are on the same page," she whispered, processing a feeling of shame that she couldn't admit her feelings toward him.

"Although something confuses me."

"Huh, what?"

"Why would it trouble me socially to carry you to a nurses office when you're hurt when it only implies our growth?"

"Uh...well uh."

"Besides, I think it's fine that people know I care about you."

"...I-Im sorry?"

"Y-Yeah, you mean a lot to me Yaoyorozu, I know I don't exactly talk much or express my feelings often in a clear way, but I want you to know that ever since the sports festival and the year end exams you've become someone I view as special in my life."

"Todoroki..."

"You're smart, helpful, capable, kind, and one of the greatest friends I could've asked for, so no, I don't care what anyone thinks or what trouble it could cause, you're important to me, and that's the truth."

"..."

"S-Sorry that I droned on there."

"..."

"Yaoyorozu?"

"Mmmmmmmmmm," Momo squeaked as her heart beat as fast as a locomotive, her body shook like it was tossed around like a violent earthquake, the poor gil could barely contain her joy a she fought back the tears of joy.

"A-Are you okay? You're shaking, is your leg getting worse!?"

"M-m-m-m-m-m-m-mm-m-m-m!"

"Yaoyorozu, hey, talk to me!"

"M-m-mmmmmm-m-m-mmmmmmmmmmm-m-m-mm-m-m-mmmmmmmmm...gah," then she was out like a light, the class representative's feelings overpowered her conscious, and she drifted away into sleep; passing out not due to the pain, but because of the single thought that ran through her head over and over until she woke up hours later.

'Love.'

The Present

"I was j-just winded is all."

"Yeah, bet he really just took your breath away."

Momo gulped.

"It doesn't prove anything…"

"What about the time you asked him to join you for a birthday dinner that you 'coincidentally' forgot to invite everyone else to?"

"The mail services were backed up that day!"

"Ooo! Ooo! I have one," Eri raised her hand up high, bouncing in her chair.

"Fire away Eri," Jiro smirked, but remembered Mina was in earshot, "Just uh, not too loud okay?"

"Okay, ummmm, what about that one time you got really tomato faced when he said he liked how you played that one thing with the keys, at the festival," she recapped excitedly, mimicking the motions of a piano player.

"Ah, that one to, thanks Eri."

"I was just…it was…r-really hot that day, I almost had a heat stroke," Momo grasped at straws to defend herself.

"It was August though," the child and teen replied in unison.

"August is still a summer month."

"It was windy," the duo replied.

"Y-yeah b-but…. you see…I uh well…I, I-I'm…horrible at hiding my feelings," Momo deflated in defeat, outstretching her arms across the tabletop and laying the right side of her head down.

"Look, Momo," Jiro placed her hand on Yaoyorozu's to comfort her, "It's fine okay? You honestly think any of us are good at hiding stuff like that?"

"N-no…"

"Look I'm sorry for teasing you about it alright, now just cheer up a little it's gonna be alright."

"H-how do you know?"

"Because, one I've been where you've been."

"You have?"

"Mhm, I was absolutely terrified when I first got Midoriya something."

"But Midoriya would love anything you got him."

"Yes, but I didn't know that at the time, at least if I did, I was too nervous to think about it," Jiro rubbed the back of her neck, "I barely got any sleep that night in all honesty."

"I remember, you came to class looking really rugged and restless."

"D-don't remind me," Jiro giggled, the image of her messy looking hair and bags under eyes making her inwardly cringe, "But either way it was all for nothing, even though he already had something like it, he was honestly so happy when he saw it for the first time, and even happier when he knew it came from me."

"Really."

"Uh huh."

"What did you get him?"

"All Might hoodie," Eri spoke up, starting the finishing touches on her cat picture.

"That's right," Jiro patted her head again.

"How many did he already have," Momo asked.

"Hmmm about ten," Jiro shrugged.

"Wow."

"Yep."

"Seriously?"

"Well, it is Midoriya."

"F-fair, but he really liked it?"

"Oh you bet, I've honestly never seen him so happy before, well, aside from when I said yes to our first date anyway."

"A-a-and you think, it'll be the same with Todoroki?"

"Completely."

"W-well…I'm glad at least one of us does," Momo's mood soured a little, as she slowly retraced her hand away, her deeper insecurities over the matter came barreling to the surface, it was an unfortunate sickness brought about by doubt and the ever growing and inescapable fear of the unknown, what we cannot account for, and what we cannot hope to fully understand. She appreciated Jiro's efforts, but there was only one way to erase her mental entrapments, and it came with either rejection or acceptance that would change her current life for either the worse or the better, praying for the ladder.

"Momo…"

"It's okay Jiro, I'm just worried, I'll get over it…"

*RIIIIP!*

"There, all done," Eri smiled, having torn out the page she had been working on, holding it up in the air with both hands proudly.

"O-oh," Jiro turned to face the little one, albeit a little reluctantly since she didn't want to let her friend continue to suffer, "That's great Eri, uh-"

Jiro's praise for her effort stopped short, curious as to what was happening before her, bearing witness to the horned girl's actions of slowly scooting her chair out from under the table, drawing still in her hand as she got away from her seat, slowly walking over to the other side of the table. Stopping just as she reached Momo's seat, seeing that the raven-haired teen was just looking down at the table, Eri gently tugged at the hems of her white sweater to gain her attention, and sure enough it did as Yaoyorozu looked over and down at the girl, who looked a little nervous but smiled none the less, as she raised the picture for her to look at.

It was a picture of a cat napping in a white flower bed, or at least it was supposed to be white, Eri taking matters into her own hands and coloring the flowers with a mishmash of orange, green, and red, with the cat reflecting each color in a very messy combination since she couldn't exactly decide which color she wanted to make the cat in the first place, so she just simply made it a chameleon cat, despite the unorthodox nature of the picture, you could clearly tell she did put effort into it since there was very few spots where she colored outside of the lines by accident, wanting to make it as good as possible due to what she was about to do with it.

"Here," the little one extended her arms for her to take, surprising both her and Jiro.

"H-huh," Momo rose up in her seat.

"I drew this to cheer you up."

"Y-you did," Momo could already feel her eyes start to water, as they widened in bewilderment of the sweet act.

"Mhm, I didn't like seeing you so sad, and Deku and Jiro always try to make me feel better when I'm sad, so I wanted to help make you feel better, so here."

A few seconds passed before Momo slowly reached to take her gift, tears beginning to stream down her face from the pure joy she felt from the sweetness of the act, Jiro nodding to Eri in approval.

"That was really sweet of you Eri," Jiro smiled, to which Eri reciprocated, the little one simply happy that it seemed her efforts paid off, seeing Momo smile for the first time the entire evening.

"Do you like it Big Sis-"

Eri had very little time to finish her sentence, finding herself now locked in an embrace from Yaoyorozu, her cheek smushed against hers and her arms restrained by the hero in trainings grip, the shock of the sudden heel turn gave way to an expression of shock from both Jiro and the little one before mellowing out, as she gave Midoriya a run for his money for best crier.

"I LOVE IT ERI WUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

'Well at least her moods brightened a little,' Jiro thought as she took another sip of her tea.

"Yaaaay! I'm glad you like it," Eri smiled and closed her eyes, settling for nuzzling her head against her captor since she couldn't move her arms.

"OF COURSE I DO YOU PRECIOUS LITTLE CHILD AHHHHHHHHHHHHHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA *sniff* *sniff*….AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

"I'm not cleaning up the water stains," Kaminari remarked, still focused on the game.

"Eh ya get used to it when you live next to Midoriya," Mineta soon dawned a protective raincoat.

"Where did you get that," Mina asked.

"All Might handed them out after last months flooding incident."

"I thought that was just a pipe busting," Kirishima replied.

"I'd expect that from somebody not at ground zero."

"You make it sound like a war story," Mina said

"Were you stuck in a tree for four hours," Mineta angrily crossed his arms.

"Oh that's where you were," Kaminari asked as his intensity increased at the game, "We all just thought you wandered off."

"YOU JERKS DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE!?"

"Nope."

"Nah uh."

"Not at all."

"…And just like that, my pride shatters and scatters into the wind…"

"You have pride," Kirishima said.

"Up up up HAD pride Kiri," Mina laughed.

"Oh right my mistake."

"You guys suck."

"Well if we suck so bad, then let's just get back to the main plot of this story and completely ignore you for the rest of it," Mina coldly smiled at the grape.

"Wait no NO NO NO NO YOU CAN'T DO THAT, WE HAD SO MANY JOKES WE COULD TELL, SO MANY SUB PLOTS WE COULD DO WITH MY CHARATCER, AREN'T YOU GUYS INTERESTED WITH HOW MY DAY WENT, WHAT I GOT UP TO!? MY INSECURITIES!? MY ROMANTIC STRUGGLES!?"

"No," the three replied.

"YES YES, COME ON I NEED SOMETHING, PLEASE PLEASE DON'T JUST CUT AWAY FROM ME, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

*Ding!*

Momo's crying ceased as the three at the table looked toward the direction of the elevator, seeing Bakugo and Midoriya step out and into the room, carrying their respective hero suitcases.

"God I hope I don't get roped into another damned mopey dopey dinner party," Bakugo grunted.

"But I thought you liked Todoroki's sister's cooking Kacchan," Deku walked alongside his childhood friend.

"Never said I didn't, I just don't wanna deal with all that dirty laundry they decided to air out."

"Everyone has their issues though; it's not wrong they have deal with it in their own way."

"Dinner with guests is the LAST place you wanna bring that shit up Deku, or do you like your soba with a side of emotional scarring!"

"It's not exactly nothing new for my life the past year and a half…"

"I didn't think it was possible for me to have less respect for you."

"You respect people," Kaminari turned to look at the bleach blonde barker, allowing for Mina to take the lead in the game, as Bakugo walked over to the fridge to get a bottled water.

"BITE ME BUMBLEBEE HAIR!"

"Love you to Kacchan," Kaminari quipped as Katsuki planned his murder.

"You know I'm not gonna stop him from attacking you when you're the one who provokes him right," Kirishima sighed, not too thrilled at the idea of having to separate them for the billionth time.

"Hey I can protect myself!"

"And that is the funniest thing you've said all evening," Mina stuck her tongue out at the charge bolt.

"You guy's are bad friends," Kaminari cried.

"Love you to Jamming-Yay," Mina wrapped her arm around his head, giving him a noogie.

"Ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow, will you please stop!?"

"Want me to use my acid and do it?"

"…Proceed madam."

"Well it's getting me to first place, so I'll take it," Kirishima muttered to himself.

"Has it been like this long," Midoriya asked as he stepped up behind Jiro's chair.

"Preeeetty much yeah," Jiro tilted her head straight up to make eye contact with her boyfriend, "Hey."

"H-Hey," Midoriya smiled and narrowed his eyes, admiring her beauty before leaning down to kiss her on the lips, a small tinge of pink spreading across their cheeks.

"Deku," Eri shouted, Momo releasing her from the hug to let her dash over to the hero in training.

"Hey Eri," Izuku knelt down to her level, spreading his arms wide open allowing for Eri to quickly jump and embrace him, "Did you have fun coloring with Jiro and Momo?"

"Mhm mhm," Eri nodded, being held by the teen as he rose up to stand, "I got twenty pages done today, although I didn't always keep the colors inside the lines."

"That's alright Eri, as long as you had fun doing it."

"Oh she did," Jiro said, flipping through the various pages of the book, "Wait till you see the other book."

"Hehe can't wait."

"So what's with the suitcases," Jiro stood up, Midoriya's free hand wrapping around her waist, "I thought you were off tonight."

"I was but Burnin' called and there's an emergency stakeout that Endeavor needs us for, but it shouldn't take too long."

"You have to leave," Eri mumbled, sadness emanating from her tone, "But I thought we were gonna color together."

"I know Eri, and we will, Deku just has to step out for a little bit with Kacchan and Todoroki to take care of somethings."

"Oh…okay."

"Don't worry, I'll be back before you know it."

"Promise?"

"Promise, do you wanna hang one of your pages on the fridge door?"

"*Gasp* Can I!?"

"Of course you can."

"Yaaaaaaay," Eri jumped down, and in one swift motion grabbed her coloring book and ran to the fridge, as Midoriya turned to the other important girl in his life.

"She really got through twenty?"

"What can I say, she's a talented artist," Jiro wrapped her arms around his neck, wrapping a strand of his messy green hair around her finger.

"She gets that from you," Midoriya complimented her, as he completed the embrace with his other arm.

"I'm starting to think you enjoy seeing me blush."

"I like seeing you smile more than anything."

"Oh just come here you cheese ball," she smirked before closing the gap between them, the kiss this time a lot slower deciding to enjoy this moment of bliss before the trio's mission with their work study, it took time for them to be so openly affectionate due to their shyness, but with everything that had happened the past school year, they (as well as a the rest of the class) deserved a little happiness when they could have it, Momo looking longingly at the two, wishing she could have the same kind of bliss that her friends shared with each other, still thinking about the heterochromic boy, that was oddly absent from their party, peaking Yaoyorozu's curiosity, as she decided to reluctantly break up the shy couple's moment.

"Ahem," Momo fake coughed, Midoriya and Jiro's eyes shooting open as they broke apart at a snail's pace.

"O-oh h-hi Yaoyorozu," Midoriya blushed, feeling awkward that he had inadvertently ignored his classmate.

"Hello Midoriya, nice to see you."

"N-nice to see you to, s-sorry for not saying it when I came in I was just talking with Kacchan and-"

"No no it's quite alright, I'm happy to see my fellow classmates in bright spirits."

"Oh yeah, thank you for coloring with Eri in my place."

"The pleasure was all mine," Yaoyorozu smiled as Midoriya took Eri's former seat and Jiro sat back down in her own whilst Eri was trying to get the page on the top part of the fridge, as Bakugo continued to rummage through it to find his drink.

"Eri actually gave Yaomomo one of her pages," Jiro revealed pointing at the one beside her best friend.

"Aww that was really sweet of her."

"It really was," Yaomomo looked back at the picture, feeling a sense of ease again, "And I honestly really needed it."

"Why's that?"

"U-uh, nothing, just being overly concerned with something."

"Is it something bad?"

"N-no just…I'd rather not say," Momo looked down to her lap, tapping her fingers on her knees.

"Oh is this about your gift to Todoro-"

"Shhhhh," Jiro quickly cupped his mouth with her hand, and shook her head from side to side.

"You told him," Momo whisper screamed as she looked back up at them.

"…Y-yeah."

"Why!?"

"Well uh I, I was just talking about you one night, and Midoriya was there, and I uh…may have accidentally talked about your crush on Todoroki with him…"

"Oh for crying out loud, who doesn't know at this point," she sighed, not noticing that Mina had shot her hand up as a response to the fake question, before slowly getting it lowered back down by Kaminari, saving her from the demonic look that Jiro was giving to her.

"I-I'm sorry Yaomomo," Jiro lowered her head.

"It's fine, besides, if there was anyone I could trust with that secret it would be Midoriya."

"That's weird, he's a terrible secret keeper," Jiro joked.

"I'm not that bad Kyoka."

"I love you, but yes you are."

"She's right and you know it Deku," Bakugo said, while hanging Eri's drawing for her, an action he was forced into after the little one gave him the dreaded puppy dog eyes look.

"…Fair enough, b-but this time I promise to keep your secret about him."

"Speaking of-…w-where is he right now?"

"Oh, Todoroki told us to meet him down here, he said he was going to be a little late."

"Did he mention why," Jiro asked.

"No actually."

"He expects to outpace Endeavor but the bastard can't even get ready in time," Bakugo scoffed, as he closed the fridge, barely flinching when Eri karate chopped his ankle for calling Shoto a bad name, "Oh come on that was the nicest way I could put it!"

"No bad Kacchan, bad," Eri pouted.

"Grrrrrrrrrrr."

*Ding!*

"Speak of the devil," Bakugo said as he opened his water bottle for a drink.

"Evening everyone," Shoto greeted as he walked into the room.

"Yo," Kaminari greeted.

"Sup," followed by Kirishima.

"Heya Todo," then Mina

"Evening Todoroki" then Midoriya

"Hey dude," also Jiro.

"Hi Todo," Eri greeted as she returned to the table, Jiro lifting her up and placing her onto her lap.

"Where the hell have you been," Bakugo asked

"In my room," Shoto explained as he entered the kitchen portion of the common area.

"With how long you took I'd believe you took a stroll around the whole damn campus."

"That's not feasible."

"I know that smartass!"

"Then why did you imply that I did?"

"Oh my god nevermind," Bakugo then eyed a certain item around Shoto's neck, "The hell is that?"

"The same school coat that you're wearing."

"Not that Icy Hot the damned scarf!"

'Wh-what,' Momo thought as she finally looked at him, having avoided it earlier out of anxious dread but having heard the insinuation of what he was wearing caused her brain to go into twelfth gear, her gaze shooting right past Bakugo and right onto Shoto.

Her heart nearly stopped, her eyes shot wide open as she fought back oncoming tears of joy, her hands and feet trembling, her doubts, fears, and depression faded away. Having spotted a pure red fabric scarf, very loosely wrapped around his neck, the very gift she had gotten him, and left at his door earlier today.

"Told you he'd like it," Jiro whispered to Momo as she took the final sip of her tea, her boyfriend reflecting her mood by smiling at Momo's ecstatic reaction.

"What's wrong with it," Todoroki asked Bakugo with curiosity.

"The hell do you need a scarf for, your quirk on the frits?"

"No, and to answer your question it was a gift."

"A gift from who? Your sister?"

"I'll tell you later, now we gotta head out, my father's driver is outside the main gate and he's getting impatient."

"Not our fault you took so damn long," Bakugo remarked before walking toward the door.

"Try not kill anybody while you're out," Kirishima said to his friend.

"Now you know he can't make that promise," Mina joked.

"Probably already planned on it before he even got down here," Kaminari said.

"SHUT YOU DAMNED EXTRAS!"

"Love you to Kacchan," the three said all together.

"GAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!"

*SLAM!*

"Well I better get going," Midoriya said as he sat back up, picking up his suit case.

"You promise you'll be back soon," Eri asked preciously, being met with a kiss on the top of her head from Midoriya.

"I promise."

"You mean it," Jiro followed up with her own precious look.

"Always," Midoriya breathed in a whisper, before quickly taking her lips with his before reluctantly breaking away.

"Love you."

"Love you to."

"Bye Eri."

"Bye bye Deku," Eri waved goodbye to him as walked to the exit, he waved back as he caught a glimpse of Todoroki, a blush on the right side of his face as he walked up to Yaoyorozu, surprised, but happy nonetheless as he went into the night.

"Yaoyorozu," Todoroki spoke to her, snapping the girl out of her emotionally high state.

"Y-yes T-Todoroki?"

"I uh, just wanted to say um…thank you for the gift, I really appreciate it."

"…"

"…"

"…"

"…"

"I think you're supposed to say something," Eri broke the silence, causing the raven-haired girl to reach all new shades of red on her skin.

"O-o-o-o-oh right, yes, th-thank you Eri," Momo squeaked.

"You're welcome."

"Y-yes, now um, you're quite welcome Todoroki, I-I-I'm really glad you like it, I just thought that even though your quirk is formidable in the cold, that you would possibly need protection from it if you were out and s-s-s-such."

"Very thoughtful of you, I'm honestly grateful for you doing this for me Yayorozu."

"…M-momo."

"Huh?"

"C-c-call me, Momo, if you like anyway, n-no pressure or anything."

'Momo Yaoyorozu, smoothest of the smooth,' Kyoka internally laughed as she witnessed her meltdown.

"O-only if you call me Shoto, if you're comfortable with that also."

"I would actually."

"Good."

"Good."

"I better go on then, Bakugo and Midoriya are probably already at the gate."

"Oh, okay, I'll see you later then Sh-Shoto, be safe."

"You to, Momo, I will," with that Todoroki slowly walked away, internally debating whether or not to turn back, and say how he really feels to the girl, but kept on, not wanting to act too soon or embarrass her like that, so he solemnly exited the room. The last word between them, being the sound of the door closing behind him.

Momo stared at the door for seven seconds, before she acted on her feelings, and the words Kyoka spoke to her soon after the door closed.

Simply saying.

"Go."

She was off, rushing the door as quickly as she could, nearly tripping over herself as she flung open the door and shut it behind her, quickly spotting him walking back up the steps to meet her, having planned on the same thing himself, the two quickly meeting at the top, looking deep into each other's eyes, the potent atmosphere of the moment being supported by their silence, as the snow trickled down from the sky and onto the ground and steps around them, the only light being the one overhead to illuminate the entrance to the dorm.

So many things that they wanted to say to each other, so many ways they wanted to express how they felt, and what they wanted to do about it.

All they needed to do was act, and all Shoto could think of to say was-

"Momo…"

"Yes?"

"I-I uh."

"Yeah?"

"C-could you…fix this scarf for me?"

"…"

"I've just never really worn before because of my quirk, and you made it so maybe you could-"

"I'd love to, hold still a second," Momo smiled, her face having contorted a little to try and stifle the laugh that built up in her throat, instead of any disappoint there was only bliss as she tied the scarf properly for him.

"Thank you."

"You're welcome."

"Sorry to make you do this."

"It's fine, I'm honestly glad you did."

"Why?"

"I'll tell you in a second," she giggled before looping another knot.

"Also, why did you come out running?"

"Because I noticed this was pretty loose before you left, and I didn't want you losing it while out on your mission."

"I would never lose this."

"I know, it's more of a way to save you hours of searching and one, other, thing," she said as she pulled the scarf gently into the last knot.

"What's that," Todoroki asked, before Momo pulled on the scarf to bring him closer.

"This," she softly breathed, before doing what she had waited all night to do, and finally kissed the boy of her dreams, catching him completely off guard as she put every ounce of passion and effort to the act, letting the scarf go as she cupped the sides of his face, Shoto meeting this by throwing his arms around her torso and the back of her head, giving into to his own emotions, and dowsing the earlier frustration of not having the guts to do this in the first place.

They continued on and on as their lips fought each other for dominance.

Undeniably,

Unapologetically,

Happy.

Happy to have a love that they could both share, and enjoy.

The best gift they could've given each other.

THE END.
