Here's the final chapter of this season! Enjoy!

Hawkins was not in a good place three months after the destruction of the mall. News about the mall fire went all around the state and even around the country. It was reported that thirty-three people were dead from the incident...including Jim, Dave, and Stacey. It even made some news companies think up conspiracies about Hawkins. After all, there were the deaths of Barbara Holland and Bob Newby, Kline's corruption exposed and the man even being arrested, and even the "chemical leak". The "Welcome to Hawkins" sign had "HELL" replace the town's name through red spray-paint.

Even so, today was an important day to some. For Steve and Robin, it was getting a new job at Family Video. Though Steve failed at the interview with Keith, Robin managed to convince him to hire him anyway. He was beyond relieved that he had such a good friend to get him the job. He always wondered what a friendship like Kali and Jonathan's was like.

After that, they exited the store and got into his car. "Do we have to help the Byers move their stuff?" Robin asked him in a fake whiny tone.

He scoffed and started up the engine. "You wanna be a coward and watch, be my guest." She laughed before he backed out and they drove away to the Byers's home.

Later in the day, everyone was helping the Byers move their stuff. Jonathan, Kali, Steve, and Robin were carrying different mattresses out of the house. The Indian girl wore a lavender blouse, dark blue pants, white socks, and white shoes. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, slow down!" Jonathan called out to her.

"Sorry, sorry," she replied as they both slowly got down the steps and to the truck.

Steve and Robin got out after them, Steve nearly losing balance from the steps. "Whoa, hey, hey, be careful!" Robin exclaimed.

He regained his balance and smiled. "Hey, I didn't eat shit this time!" he cheerfully said as they got on the ground and went to the truck.

"You're learning, babe," Kali told him, her hand patting his back.

...

Inside, Lucas, Max, and Dustin were packing things into boxes in the living room. The couple began teasing the curly-haired boy about him singing The Neverending Story theme, who looked dead inside when they were doing it. "Did we get that part right?" Max asked coyly.

"Yes," he answered, sounding annoyed. "But you two are butchering the hell out of it, so can you stop?" The two looked at each other before they sung one part of the song.

"He said stop, shitbirds," a familiar voice said to them sternly. The two stopped...seeing Billy wheel over to the box he was assigned to. His hair was still long, but in a ponytail. He was clean-shaven and wore a black, blue, red, and white shirt with a paint pattern, tight jeans, white socks, and dark sneakers. "Even I'm getting annoyed by it and I don't know what the hell kind of song that is."

Guilty, they continued their jobs. "Sorry, Billy," Max apologized.

He scoffed and dropped off the thing he had into the box. "Just don't do it around me. I hate cheesy shit." He grinned at her, making her grin back. He had recovered from his back wound, getting a large scar from it. Due the force of that tentacle though, it shattered the lower half of his spine, making him a paraplegic. He was getting used to it. Plus, over the past three months, he was actually getting his shit together. Not only by treating Max better, but also by helping out whenever he could, like right now.

As he wheeled over to the spot he came from, he looked at the curly-haired boy, looking concerned. "But you sing that bullshit with your girlfriend?"

That made Lucas and Max snicker, Dustin frowning. "Well, you said you hate cheesy shit," he replied. He shrugged and continued working.

"Exactly, I don't have bad taste." Dustin scowled at him while Lucas and Max laughed.

...

In the backyard, Jane and Will had bats on them, facing Castle Byers. Jane wore a yellow and brown plaided shirt, a blue shirt underneath that, baggy pants, socks, and black and white shoes. She also had her hair pulled back into a ponytail. The auburn-haired boy took a deep breath, shutting his eyes. The tomboy looked at him, concerned. "Are you sure you wanna do this?" she asked him.

He opened his eyes and looked at her. "Yeah," he answered. "I'll get over it." She smiled at him, since he did get over the fact that she and Mike were in love and supported them.

She nodded at him before they faced the handmade fort. They then let out battle cries, running towards it and smashing the whole thing down like they were destroying something in D&D.

...

Meanwhile, Jonathan went to his room. Alongside him were Kali and Steve. They all looked at the room, which was absolutely bare. "So, I think that's everything," Steve said sarcastically, leaning against the doorway and crossing his arm. He nodded. "I think it is."

Kali and Jonathan laughed. The auburn-haired teen then walked inside, looking around and placing his hands on his hips. "Just...wow," he said. "Seventeen years of my life...packed up in one day." He sighed, looking thoughtful.

Kali and Steve softened their looks and entered in with him. The teen girl placed a hand on his shoulder. "I did the same thing last month," she stated. "So I get that you're feeling...a lot of things right now."

Jonathan chuckled a little. "Yeah."

"Now I'm gonna two of the best people in this town gone," Steve said. "I think it's unfair, but..." He shrugged. "I'm an adult. I can deal with it."

The two friends turned to him with smirks on their faces. "It hasn't been the same without your charming stupidity," Kali said, putting a hand on his cheek. He chuckled at that.

"Yeah, I'm gonna miss you, man," Jonathan said. He smiled at him before they gave each other a hug and a pat on the back. "But I'll write and I'll call."

The jock nodded. "Good, don't want you abandoning your friend now."

"Don't worry, I never abandon the hopeless." The girl laughed, Steve shaking his head. "I'll be outside." The couple nodded as he got out of the room.

Steve was about to go out after him, but then Kali went and hugged him from behind. He stood, looking pleasantly surprised as he held her hands. "Wanted some time alone, huh?" he asked.

She giggled and answered, "Yep. This IS the first time we've seen each other since last month."

He sighed deeply, looking down at her hands. "Alright..." He paused, the two rocking back and forth a little. "You know how much I miss you, Kal?"

"You know much I miss YOU, Steve?"

He grinned. "I swear, I think about you every night."

She laughed. "That's unhealthy. Anderson's not that far."

He laughed as well. "I know, but I still missing hanging out with you a lot, y'know?"

She nodded. "Same here." She paused. "Sometimes, I think about bringing you with me."

He laughed again, trying to look back down at her. "I don't think my parents will approve of you kidnapping me."

She laughed again too, letting go of him. They still held hands. "It's not kidnapping if you want it."

He raised his eyebrows, looking intrigued. "Well, when you say it like that..." She giggled. "My parents will still call the cops on you though."

She shrugged. "Worth it." They laughed together, then looked into each other's eyes. Their faces softened, still looking at each other.

"How is Anderson, by the way?" he asked her.

She shrugged again and answered, "Fine. Old, nothing unique."

"You're bored of it already?"

"You could say that."

"Even your new job?"

She smiled. "Actually a lot better than here, that's for sure."

He smiled back. "That's good, that's good." They looked down at each other's hands, then back at each other's eyes.

"Did you get the job?"

He nodded. "Yeah, though it took a lot of convincing on Robin's part."

She scoffed. "You screwed up that hard?"

"Hey, I didn't know Back to the Future and Star Wars were different movies."

She cringed a little at that. "Poor Robin, doing the work for you-"

"Hey, I tried!"

She laughed before getting closer to him. "I think we're doing pretty good."

He kept his smile, letting her get closer. "Yeah, I think we are. I mean, I've never been in a relationship like this before, but..."

"This is my first time too."

He leaned down, their faces close. "But we'll keep making it work."

Kali's voice was now a whisper. "Like a well-oiled machine." They smiled at each other before kissing tenderly. They kissed a few more times before hugging, their hearts fluttering.

"I love you, Kali," Steve whispered to her.

"I love you too, Steve," she whispered back.

After Jane and Will smashed down Castle Byers, they threw parts of it in the garbage. When they were done, Will asked, "By the way, how is your new home?"

She looked at him and answered, "It's okay. It's smaller, but it's enough for us. The basement really needs a new makeover though."

He chuckled a little. "Alright."

"Do you know what your new home's gonna look like?"

He shook his head. "No. Mom says it'll be a surprise."

She nodded. "At least you won't have to play D&D alone."

He smiled. "Yeah, Mike's getting better. We're gonna have so much fun."

"It's good that you two are getting along."

"He's a good friend. It's cool, living together."

She smiled as well. "Just make sure he's alright, Will."

He nodded at her, giving her a reassuring smile. "You can count on me, Jane."

She smiled back before saying, "I'll go check in the home. See you out front?"

"You got it." They then parted ways.

Will thought he was getting better talking to her. The feelings were still there, but they didn't make him do...embarrassing stuff or say embarrassing things in front of her. Besides, she was his friend and she and Mike were happy together. Speaking of Mike though, three months later, and he still gets weird feelings while around him...almost like his feelings for Jane. He thought that was ridiculous, but the more he thought about it...the more he felt like...an outcast.

But he had put those weird feelings for him aside. After all, that would be awkward when living with him.

In an empty room, Mike was getting out the clothes from the closet and putting them in a box. He wore a gray and baby-blue collared shirt, blue shorts, shin-high socks, and dark sneakers. Just as he was done with the clothes, he looked around the closet to see if there was anything else that needed to be in the box. He then spotted a teddy bear on a shelf. He could reach it...but he thought of doing something else.

He still haven't gotten his powers back, even if it was three months later. Maybe today they came back? He stepped away and looked at it. He stretched his arm out and tilted his head down, using his power. There was still a weak weight on his mind, but he kept straining himself. His hand shook as he strained himself to move a little at least. But then he stopped, letting out a heavy breath and putting his hands on his hips. He didn't even nudge it a little...

"They're still not back?" Jane asked. He turned and saw her come into the room. He shook his head, frowning. She gave him a reassuring smile and caressed his arm. "I'm sure they will." He smiled back at her before she looked up at the teddy bear. "You can reach that, right?"

"Yeah," he answered.

"If you don't wanna do that, you can pick me up and I can get it for you." He looked at her weird. She saw the look on his face, her eyes widening a little. "Or, uh, you can just reach up and get it. It was just a stupid idea-"

He grinned and replied, "Actually, I like that idea."

She looked surprised. "You do?" He nodded, making her smile again. "Okay." She then stood in front of him, his hands on her sides. She blushed a little, but said, "Alright, now." He picked her up and she grabbed the teddy bear. She cheered as he put her down. "Here you go." She handed the bear to him.

He grabbed it and hugged it. "Thanks."

"You're welcome." She cleared her throat and asked, "So, did you pack your walkie?"

"Yes," he answered.

"Good, because I'll pester Mama to drive me up to Cerebro so that I can talk to you."

He laughed a little. "Can't you do that by phone?"

She put her hands on her hips. "Well, yeah, but using it so much expensive for Mama."

He nodded in understanding. "How is Terry, by the way?"

"She's good. She's settling in her new job as my new school's councilor."

"How is your new school?"

She shrugged. "Makes me miss everyone else here."

"It's not good?"

"It's...okay."

"But not good?"

She giggled and nodded. "Basically." The two laughed together.

"I heard Andrew is living with you guys now?"

She nodded. "Yeah. It's good to have him around. He's a great guy."

"Is he your new...Pop?"

Her eyebrows shot up in surprise of that question, shaking her hands. "Uh, no, no...he and Mama have only been dating for a couple of months." She smiled once again. "Though I think of him as a Papa. A really good Papa."

He smiled at her. "That's good. Is he alright?"

"He's fine, still recovering from...you know."

He nodded again, looking solemn. "I feel so sorry for him."

She looked solemn as well. "Me too. But he's happy now and Mama's happy too."

He smiled again. "As long as they're happy."

"Right."

They didn't speak for a bit, looking into each other's eyes. Then Mike asked, "So, did Terry say 'yes'? About Thanksgiving?"

She nodded. "Yeah, we'll come there to celebrate with you guys." His smile grew wider. "And we were just talking about Christmas, i-if you and the Byers want to come down for Christmas." She mentally cursed herself for repeating Christmas in the same sentence.

He looked a little puzzled. "At Anderson? Or here?"

"Well, I was saying here because Dustin's house is perfect for Christmas. But everyone else says Anderson. Do you have a preference?"

He shook his head and shrugged. "As long as I'm with you, I'm okay with celebrating Christmas."

She blushed and smiled wide, looking down at the ground. "Thanks, Mike." She looked back up at him. "But I'll call you or write when we come to a decision."

He nodded. "Okay."

"It'll just be so cool to celebrate Christmas with you, especially with all the presents and Mama's food and fun activities and..." She trailed off, realizing she was babbling. "Sorry, I got a little too excited."

He shook his head, keeping his smile. "That sounds great, Jane."

She nervously smiled at him. "Cool."

"Cool." They continued to stare into each other's eyes, still not saying anything for a while. They didn't want to leave each other just yet...they just wanted to stay like this forever.

Mike then cleared his throat when he remembered something. "Jane?"

"Yeah?" she replied.

He took a deep breath. "Remember three months ago, you and Lucas were talking?"

She looked a bit puzzled. "Um...can you be more specific?"

Mike looked down, adjusting the blue elastic band on his wrist. "You were talking about your feelings...about me taking a risk."

She gasped, shocked that he knew about that. "W-wait, you heard that?!"

"Yes."

She began to panic, looking around quickly. "Oh, uh, well..." She tried thinking of the right words to say, tugging at her ponytail a bit. "I-I mean, we were arguing and it was 'heat of the moment' stuff, so..."

He frowned at her reaction, adding on, "And you remember later, we...talked?"

She looked up at him. "Yeah."

"And you said something like..." He looked away from her to think about it. "'Blank makes you crazy.'"

She blushed more as she replied, "I-I said that."

He smiled at her warmly, now holding the teddy bear with one arm as he got closer to her. "Jane." He leaned over to her a little and place a hand on her cheek. "I knew what you were going to say...and I heard you say it earlier back then." Her eyes widened. "I love you too." He then leaned in and kissed her. Her heart raced with love as she closed her eyes and kissed him back. Both felt completely warm in the moment.

They then broke a kiss, exchanging loving smiles. He then got his hand off of her cheek and walked out of the room, still keeping the smile since it felt great to let all that out.

Jane watched him go, still smiling as well. She put a hand over her chest, being the most happiest she's ever been with him. She loved him...and he loved her too. What could make her any happier than that?

In what was Joyce's room, she and the adults packed up the clothes in the room. Terry had her hair in her usual ponytail and wore a pink, long-sleeved collared shirt, slim jeans, socks, and black and white shoes. Andrew had his long hair in a man-bun and had a short beard. He wore a plain white shirt, tan cargo pants, and a pair of sneakers. Everything was quiet in there, then the man spoke up, "So, this is my third time doing this."

Joyce, who had her hair in a ponytail, looked a bit confused, but Terry laughed a little. "First, our house, then your house, and now Joyce's," she said, the woman now getting.

Andrew laughed as well. "A lot of moving in such a short amount of time." He put the last piece of clothing into his

Joyce grinning, adding, "At least you can be out in public." The couple looked at her, confused. She was surprised that they didn't get it, so she elaborated. "You know? Like criminals in movies move around a lot and they wouldn't go out...in public, because..." She trailed off, seeing her friends still confused. She shook her head and put her hand down. "Sorry, I tried to make a joke."

Terry smiled, putting the last piece of clothing in her assigned box. "It was better than last time." Joyce scoffed at her before grabbing...Jim's police shirt. She frowned, a wave of sadness crashing over her. Terry and Andrew looked sad as well.

"He seemed like a good guy," the man stated solemnly. "May he rest in peace."

"Yeah..." Joyce whispered before she folded it. But she felt something in the shirt's pocket, which made her curious. She opened the pocket and pulled out a folded piece of paper.

"What is that?" Terry asked, her and Andrew getting near Joyce to see it. The brunette unfolded it, seeing that it was the written heart-to-heart with side notes. The two women looked surprised, then frowned. "The heart-to-heart."

"He kept it," Joyce stated.

"Probably so that he remembers to have it with Mike." Joyce looked at her with a surprised look.

"Wait, he didn't?"

Terry forgot that she never told her after...what happened at the mall. "Jim didn't talk with Mike and that made his relationship with Jane...tough." The brunette sighed. She should have known. He said it would be a surprise at their date, but who knew what he had in mind back then?

"That's why they broke up?" Andrew asked.

"They broke up?" Joyce asked, genuinely surprised.

"Yeah," the boy himself answered. The adults looked back at him, seeing him with the teddy. "But we got back together, so it's alright." Joyce smiled at him before he asked, "Can I put this in the donation box?"

She nodded. "Oh yeah, sure."

He looked at the letter, pointing to it and asking, "What is that though?"

Terry also smiled up at him. "It's the heart-to-heart your Pop wrote for you," she answered. "But he never had that with you, did he?" He shook his head.

"Can I read it?" The adults looked at each other, exchanging nods.

"Of course, buddy," Andrew answered.

...

Later, only Mike was in that room with the letter. He laid down on his stomach and opened it up. He began reading it:

Now, Mike. I wanted to talk to you about something. Something important. About you and Jane. I'm not talking to you about this because you're in trouble. Terry and I know how much you two care for each other. We also care a lot about you.

Mike took a deep breath, already feeling a bit forlorn. But he continued:

Terry and I talked this morning and we both agreed to talk to you two about setting some boundaries, moving forward, so we can build an open and comfortable environment where we're open to sharing our feelings.

This was what Terry said to Jane too, right? Just different. He kept on reading to the next paragraph:

Feelings. Jesus. The truth is, bud, for so long, I forgot what they even were.

Forgetting what feelings were? That sounded weird, but he thought maybe there was more to this.

For years, I've been stuck in one place - a cave, a deep dark cave. And then, I decided that with Terry, I left some Eggos in the woods and you came into my life and...for the first time in a long time, I started to have feelings again. I started feeling happy. Even though Terry left me to take care of you, I kept feeling happy.

Mike smiled at this, his eyes getting a little watery.

But lately, I guess I've been feeling...distant from you. Your behavior started mirroring mine when I was your age and suddenly, I felt scared.

He frowned, remembering purposefully annoying him whenever he was with Jane.

I don't want you to grow up like I did, you know? Way too rebellious, always wanting to be with a girl, bullshit constantly. I acted that way and my life has been nothing but a complete shitstorm. I don't want that for you. You deserve better.

He sniffled just a little. He was acting stupid back then, wasn't he?

I want to be a better father than my own. That's why I always played board games with you, make Triple-decker Eggo Extravaganzas with you in the morning, and watch westerns with you before we doze off.

His eyes became blurry, him wiping them and sniffling before continuing on:

I know you're getting older, you're changing. And I guess...to be honest, that scares me too. So I think maybe that's why I came here, to maybe...stop that change. Turn back the clock. Make things go back to the way they were. But I know that's naive. That's not how life works.

Even though Mike didn't want to believe it...it was true.

Life keeps going forward, whether you want it to or not. And yeah, it can be painful sometimes. It can be sad and it can be surprising. Happy.

He stopped reading for a bit to take that in. His life growing up had been about pain and sadness...but after he escaped the Lab, it was surprising...and it was happy. He sniffled and let out a few tears, continuing to read:

And you always take what comes next, no matter what. I'm not gonna sit around and let you behave the way I did when I was younger. I'll do something about that. But you know what? Keep on growing up, bud. Make mistakes, learn from 'em, and when life hurts you - because it will - remember the hurt. The hurt is a good thing. It means you're out of that cave.

He continued crying and sniffling, taking in his Pop's wisdom.

So for tomorrow, why don't we hang out here like father and son? And if you want to be with your other friends, I'll let you. Just keep going, Mike. Do what you wanna do, but make sure it's the right thing. I'll let you know if it's the right thing. What's not the right thing is like trying to hang out with Jane again tomorrow. Terry will kick my ass so hard and you two would be laughing at me for it.

Mike laughed through his tears at that last sentence.

Jane will probably call you. You'll both understand and it'll be a new and maybe good experience for you too. We'll just have to wait and see. Just think about what I've told you, buddy. And when you guys do decide to hang back here, then please, for the sake of your poor old Pop, keep the door at three inches.

The boy smiled again before he cried more and sobbed. Reading this...heeding his wisdom...he missed his Pop so much. His jokes, his fun, his voice, his smile...he really missed him. He sniffled and looked down, wiping his tears away.

He heard a knock on the doorway, making him stop and look up. Joyce was there, looking sympathetic for him. "Are you okay?"

He nodded, wiping more of his tears as he sat up. "Y-yeah," he answered in a sobby voice. "Time to go?" She simply nodded at him. "I'll be out...in a minute."

"Okay," she said softly before leaving.

He took a few deep breaths, trying to calm himself down. He folded the letter back up, holding it tight. He then put it in the pocket of his shirt...to keep in memory of his Pop.

The truck was loaded with everything that was in the house and everyone was out. Joyce took one look in the house before closing the door. Then it was time for everyone to say their goodbyes. Joyce first hugged Terry, who hugged her back just as tightly. Then she hugged Andrew, who gave her a great hug.

Kali hugged Jonathan and patted his arm. Robin hugged Jonathan as well before he told her something, making her nod. Steve told him something snarky before they shared one last bro-hug. Jonathan was about to hug Billy, since they've talked a few times throughout the three months, but he dissuaded him from doing it and shook his hand. Will and Joyce also shook his hand, thanking him for helping.

Joyce then hugged the kids that weren't going with them. Will hugged Max, then Jane. Will hugged Lucas, crying more. Mike hugged Andrew and Terry, then he and Lucas shared a heart-warming bro-hug as well as him and Dustin. He then proceeded to hug Jane, who was as teary-eyed as he was. They rested their foreheads against each other.

Finally, Joyce and Mike drove away in the moving truck with her car in tow while Jonathan and Will followed them in his car. Everyone solemnly watched them go, Jane being the most emotional with her watery eyes and shaky breath.

It was time for the Ives and Andrew to leave, so they all said their goodbyes too. Kali hugged Robin, who told her the same thing Jonathan told her and made her laugh. Steve sighed before she gave him a loving embrace, him forgiving her instantly. She also shook Billy's hand. Terry and Andrew also shook his hand as well as Jane. The tomboy hugged the rest of her friends and even Steve too. Even Robin got a hug from her and she didn't know why, so she just awkwardly accepted it. Andrew and the kids hugged before he and Steve did a bro-hug.

They then went into Terry's car and drove off as well. Jane looked back her friends and the now empty home, sighing deeply before looking away. Not only was she emotional about leaving her friends behind again, but also having her boyfriend and best friend be far away. Kali placed a hand on her little sister's shoulder to comfort her. Terry and Andrew gave her a reassuring look through the rearview mirror. She calmed down a little as they drove back to Anderson.

Max's mom had came to pick up Max and Billy, so they were driven away. The remaining teens got into Steve's car and drove away. Lucas and Dustin then just rode away from the empty house for sale.

While Max was sulking in her room, Billy was doing the same in his. He simply laid on his bed, his wheelchair near, and just stared up at the ceiling. He looked forlorn when he thought about Stacey. If she didn't throw her life away to save him, he would've been dead...and she would still live. Not only that, when he was possessed, he KILLED one of her friends. He actually killed a man. Hell, he killed more people by taking them to the mind Flayer...

He drew his lips to a fine line, his eyes filling with tears before he shut them.

Driving to the border of Hawkins, Mike looked out the window, crying a little and sniffling. There was a lot hitting him at once: his move, his confession to Jane, him leaving Jane and his friends, and Jim's heart-to-heart. He couldn't handle it until he remembered what his Pop said in the letter: life keeps going forward, whether he wanted to or not, but he has to take what comes to him. Thinking about that letter surprisingly calmed him down a little.

When they passed the Hawkins border, he looked more content, hoping everything will be alright and whatever life throws at him, he'll be ready for it.

And that's the end of M11 Season 3. Thank you all for reading it! Any mistakes or typos I might've missed?

Alright, so to unpack this emotional chapter...

Robin and Billy help! I thought Robin should also be involved because why not? Her friend's also getting involved. And Billy, I wanted to show how he's changed and tell how he's dealing with being a paraplegic...as well as his hidden survivor's guilt.

Yup, not only are the Byers moving...do did the Ives! Unlike where the Byers could possibly live, Anderson is not too far from Hawkins. I have Worlds Turned Upside Down and there's a map of Indiana with Hawkins in it! You can also find it if you look it up. Even so, they're still not in Hawkins anymore. After everything...can you blame them? Or the Byers for that matter?

So...I guess, in this AU...Will could be bi...or pan! I honestly don't know. After writing it the way I did, even if the actual canon doesn't make him gay or whatnot, I won't queer-bait for this fanfic. Even as a straight woman, queer-baiting's not cool. So I'll follow through with this development.

Hope I wrote the romantic moments here well! I loved writing them, especially Mike and Jane's. They really deserve each other...and Kali and Steve too!

I did wonder if I should write the moving away and Hopper's letter interchangeably, but then I decided to just isolate them into their own scenes. I hope you guys don't mind that!

Speaking of his letter, I've added a little more to it. Since he's concerned about Mike acting like him when he was younger, there's that part to expand upon. And then near the end, with him suggesting that they can hang out like father and son, or him hanging out with friends, because he's not TOO selfish. Not anymore. I hope that letter sounds like the Hopper we know and love.

I think that's all there is to it. I hope you guys enjoyed this finale! It's been a blast writing this season...and fixing the things the canon screwed up.

I'm only cautiously anticipating Season 4 since Season 3 felt more like fanservice to me. Like seriously? Russians as the enemies? Overt 80's references (as in, the 80's stuff are more in your face than in Seasons 1 & 2)? 80's songs in places that SHOULD be dedicated to an original track? Poorly-written teen drama? Max acting the way she did? Joyce and Hopper constantly yelling at each other? The Neverending Story segment? The ramped-up gore? Come on. The writers are better than this. I hope they can get it together in Season 4...so here's a wishlist:

-Season 1 & 2 vibes, as in it doesn't shove the fact that it's the 80's in your face and that it's more serious than lighthearted
-Max having a better character than "boys suck lol and i'm always right" and being called out for her shitty doings
-If the Russians ARE going to be the secondary enemies, then the writers should write them like Brenner and the Lab, NOT like Saturday morning cartoon villains
-Will having more of a character than "can we play d&d now?" (I mean, I tried to write his character as more than that and his crush on Jane.)
-Hopper not being a toxic & almost predatory dude...or a psychopath with no regrets for taking lives or his daughter's love life away
-More Lumax moments (even I'm guilty of this, not gonna lie, but even so, it would be nice to see them have more moments together)
-No more moments like the Neverending Story or the unfunny New Coke scene...
-More Mike and Nancy bonding moments
-A bit of something to show that Mike & Eleven aren't the perfect couple, but not anything that involves them getting close with someone else or anything that would make them break up again
-Something to showcase that Billy wasn't a good person, even after his sacrifice
-Kali's return (I KNOW people didn't like The Lost Sister, but I did. I'll defend it 'til I hit my grave.) and her teaching Eleven how to get her powers back

That's all I can think of right now. Due to this pandemic, we don't know WHEN it'll come out, but due to the Duffers having enough time to complete the script, maybe it'll be a return to form? I'm cautious, but hopeful.

Also, just recently, my Netflix situation has been rectified!

Despite Cuties being a disgusting piece of wasted potential, my parents reinstated their Netflix subscription because they know that I not only love Stranger Things, but also other shows that are exclusive to that platform. Not only that, they told me that they want more shows to watch, it's only one movie (a movie Netflix deserves shit for though, even they know that) and that Hulu has Toddlers & Tiaras streaming on it without complaint (or not enough to get it off the platform, which...I guess is a good point).

So I still have Netflix! I mean, this only happened RECENTLY, like, after I completed the finale, but even so, I won't have to worry about how to get to Season 4 whenever it comes out! Plus, I get to watch the GOOD Netflix Originals now.

So yeah, again, as tradition goes, this fanfic will be labelled as complete until Season 4 comes out...whenever it does. I really hope it is a return to form, but I still need to stay cautious.

Thanks for all of the support you guys have given me through this fanfic! I'll see you guys on the first chapter of Season 4! :D Goodbye until then!
