S'up readers!
I'm ReptileEdge, and this is a brand new story!
Yeah yeah, I know I have other stories, buuuuuuuuuut this was suggested by one of my reviewers (now a collaborator), and sounded pretty cool.
This story was made possible after collaborating with someone named Gabeherndon308. It's a combination of Power Rangers, Pacific Rim, and Transformers, and it all takes place in the My Hero Academia universe!
How crazy is that?!
Anyways, let's get to it!
...
No one is created equal. I learned that just from living my life.
You're probably wondering what I'm talking about.
Well it all started when a glowing baby was born. From then onwards, more people began to show signs that they were born with superpowers, or 'quirks' as everyone now calls it. As lame as that sounds to me. But I guess it rolls off the tongue better than saying superpower over, and over again.
Anyways, some people used their quirks to become superheroes, like the ones straight out of a comic book. But others use their quirks to become villains, like the ones heroes fight in the comics.
Since then, quirk laws were established throughout the globe. You can't use your quirk without a license, unless it's for a good reason. Which is the only loophole in my opinion. You can't be a hero, oh I'm sorry, pro hero, without a license. Yeah, being a vigilante is illegal. Shocker. Spider-Man and Batman started out as vigilantes, and you don't see me complaining! Ok, they're comic book characters, but still, I think it's bullshit.
During the glory days of superheroes, they actually cared about saving lives more than fame or glory. Why am I saying that? Because some heroes these days don't care about the people, just the fame, the glory, and the money.
It's bullshit if you ask me. The popularity contests of heroes are a goddamn joke. Who cares?! Do your job, dammit!
I understand that doing it for money is a bit of a grey area, like family, schooling, food, and bills. But just to get rich, and that's all you care about is what gets me mad.
I'm getting carried away. Basically eighty percent of the world's population are quirk users, while twenty percent are quirkless. I'm one of the twenty percent.
You might be wondering why I'm telling you this. Because this is the story of how I, and my friends, became superheroes.
My name is Dax Obsidian, and this is how it all began...
...
Earth, Cenozoic era...
The sky was blackened by dark clouds and smoke. A flock of pterosaurs flew overhead as explosions went off in the distance.
A man in what looked like a mix of advanced tech, and knight armor colored black, lied on the ground in pain. He managed to get on his arms, and began crawling away.
He ducked down when an alien ship flew over him. Once it passed, he continued to crawl through the ash covered ground to someone in the same type of armor he wore, but it was a female, and the armor was colored yellow.
He reached out to her as she removed her gauntlet, her armor reverting into it, revealing a female humanoid alien, and the gauntlet reverted into a golden coin with a yellow jewel in the center.
"I'm sorry... I'm sorry..." he apologized to his fallen comrade in an alien language as she struggled to breath.
With one last breathe, she ceased to be.
"Alpha, I'm the last one left. We must stop her. Send the meteor to my coordinates." He spoke to someone in the com links in his helmet.
He then pressed something on his gauntlet, removing it, and the gauntlets physical appearance reverted to that of a golden coin with a black jewel in the center.
"Seek only those who are worthy." He spoke to the coins he held with his own coin.
He placed them on the ground where the ground itself lit up like embers around the coins, and sunk beneath the soil. "Find only those who are strong."
Suddenly, a woman's evil chuckle was heard, and the alien man looked to see the bottom of a golden staff hit the ground.
He looked up to see a former comrade, now turned enemy, in green armor. At the top of her golden staff was a golden coin with a green jewel in the center.
"With the zeo crystals and the pillars, we could have ruled the universe together with emperor Scolder." She said to him.
"That was never going to happen." He said.
"Then you will die, Delrex."
"We will die together, Rita."
The ground shook, and the woman, now known as Rita, turned to see a large mechanical T-Rex charging towards her.
Be fore she could react, the beast opened its sharp toothed maw, and fired a fiery projectile that looked like inverted light. The projectile collided with Rita, and exploded. The explosion sent her flying back, her armor being torn apart, and she fell into the depths of sea.
The robotic T-Rex roared to the heavens in its victory. It then turned towards its master on the ground, saddened at the state he was in.
"Do not worry about me. I had to call in the meteor in order to insure the safety of crystals." Delrex said to the dinosaur.
The robotic tyrannosaurus grumbled sadly, knowing what's to come.
"Get to the ship with the others! Hurry!" The humanoid alien pleaded with urgency.
Reluctantly, the Dino complied to his master's commands, and gave one last roar before sprinting off to wherever the ship was located.
"Farewell... old friend." The man said to his saurian companion.
He looked up to the sky to see a large meteorite burning through the atmosphere, its entrance sounding like thunder.
Once it struck the ground near him, the fiery impact ignited the ground in a blazing inferno, the force of the impact launching him far, and onto his torso. His body now limp, and unmoving.
More meteorites fell through the atmosphere as they were only the first of what's truly to come.
...
And done!
Alright, that's the introduction covered.
The next chapter will be an introduction to our main cast of characters, and an anime opening sequence I have planned.
To avoid confusion, the mechanical T-Rex looks like Grimlock from Transformers: Age of Extinction. But he's colored jet black with blue eyes, and golden horns. He also appears more simplified, meaning he appears more armored and less skeleton-like in the film. His roar is also the roar of the T-rex from Jurassic Park.
The inverted light he fired appears like the inverted light Raven uses from teen titans. Basically black with a white outline.
Anyways, with that covered, I'll see you all in the next chapter.
