Athena is a young girl, who was found and raised by the royal family of the Pridelands. Despite being human, Athena loves living with the lions and wants to always be with them. Especially her younger brother, Simba. But one day tragedy strikes and Athena is left on her own. She soon learns she has to find her place in the pride with the guidance of the ones close to her.

A/U. Scar was never groomed to be king. So, he was rather content with his private life. But when tragedy strikes, Scar is forced to rule as king until his nephew, Simba, comes of age. Bitter resentments towards a cold father and insecurities of his physique challenge Scar's reign as the new king. But he will work through them. He must, for his nephew's sake.
