Ring… ring…ring…ri-click. "Hello? What is it?"

I felt some relief hearing Rapunzel's tired voice. "Hi Raps, it's me Elsa."

"Elsa?" I could here movement and then a huge groan. "It is 6:30 in the morning Elsa."

I bit my lip in sympathy. "You usually get up at 7:00." I tried to reason.

"It's Saturday!"

I winced at her tone. Rapunzel was usually very hyper and ready to do something, if anything she was the one to wake you up, not the other way around.

"I know, but I waited all night and can't take it anymore." My voice sounded desperate and I heard more movement on the phone.

"What is it? Did something happen during the storm? Are you all right?"

"I just need you to call Flynn and come to my house as soon as posable." I said trying to calm her fears, but I just did not know how to explain the situation without sounding crazy. Hey Raps, my long dead sister just washed up into my pool last night. Turns out my mother was a mermaid and I am Queen of the sea. I also have cosmic powers that nearly destroyed my little sisters free will. How was your night?

"I need more information then that Elsa." Rapunzel sounded skeptical.

"Please Raps, I'll explain when you get here. I'm going to call Kristoff so please don't ask any more questions."

"All right, I'll get Flynn."

With that the phone call ended. I dialed Kristoff and the conversation was more or less the same with him as it had been with Rapunzel. I had to insist that I was not hurt so that he did not do anything dangerous to get here or call the police. The last thing I needed was for some scientist to come and take Anna away.

Once the he hung up his phone, I went to the side door to the pool and looked out. Anna was floating on her back and drifting around, her arms stroking the water propelling her forward. I opened the door and caught her attention.

"I am going to have visitors, is that all right?" I felt weird calling my friends over. I was basically putting Anna on display and I also did not know if it was taboo to reveal mermaids.

"Do you trust them?" Anna asked me.

I nodded my head vigorously.

"Then it's all right with me."

We stared at each other for a moment before I went back inside. I could see the hurt in Anna's eyes, but she quickly dove underwater. I sat at my table and waited for my friends to get here.

Ding dong!

As soon as my doorbell rang I made a mad dash for the front door. Once I opened it, I was greeted by all of my friends questions.

"Elsa are you all right?"

"What happened?"

"Did the storm break anything?"

I ushered my friends inside and told them to take a seat at my table. I sat down and waited for them to join me. Raps grabbed my hands as she sat in the chair next to me and Flynn sat across from her. In the corner of my eye I saw Kristoff let his dog Sven outside before he joined us and sat across from me.

"Sorry about Sven barking. He just seems to have seen a gofer or something and it's put him on edge." Kristoff apologized.

"Sven's barking?" I turned my head and it was then that I could hear him.

"You are doing bad." Flynn said. "That dog has never been louder."

I lowered my eyes to the table. "Sorry."

Rapunzel squeezed my hands. "What is it Elsa? Tell us."

I took a deep breath preparing myself. "MysisterwashedupintomypoolanditturnsoutIamamermaidqueenandcancontroletheocean." I said it all quickly and in one breath.

They all just blinked at me. "What?"

"Did you say someone washed up into your pool?" Kristoff asked.

"Yes, but..."

Flynn cut me off. "Someone actually washed up into your pool! Why have you not called the police." He jumped up and moved quickly to my side door, Kristoff right on his heels.

I dashed after them. "Wait! Don't call the police! She is fine, just listen!" I was panicking as they left the house, phones out ready to dial 911. I made to grab their phones but ran into them as soon as they stopped moving. I looked up at their stunned faces and followed their gaze.

Anna was there in the pool giggling, her head and hands out. She was pointing her fingers and taping the water. Every time she made contact a steam of water would leap from the pool and head towards Sven, who was bounding around trying to catch the water.

"How is she doing that?"

I jumped at Rapunzel's voice. I felt all eyes turn toward me.

I tried to straighten up and act like this was no big deal. I gestured to Anna as I said. "Meet my sister Anna."

"What do you mean your sister Anna?!" Rapunzel demanded from me.

"High. I like your land creature." Anna smiled and waved at us. I could only hide my face in my hands.

"what do you mean land creature?" Kristoff asked her as he walked forward and knelt by the pool. "Have you never seen dogs before?"

Anna's mouth formed into an O. "That's what a dog looks like?!"

At that Sven bound into the pool and jumped on Anna. I rushed forward but Flynn stopped me. Anna was laughing as Sven licked at her face. She was thrashing a bit to keep her and Sven a float, so her tail easily showed.

Kristoff got up and backed away. "She's a mermaid." He said it in disbelief.

They all listened to me calmly after that. I told them everything that happened last night.

I waited for their response, but none came. I could not take the silence and spoke. "What do you guys think?"

"What are we supposed to think?" Flynn asked. "You are some sort of magical being that rules over the ocean. That sounds crazy the more I think about it and yet the prof is sitting in the water."

I looked over at Anna who was gazing worriedly at me.

Kristoff had a deep look on his face. "What exactly took over you last night."

I shook my head. "I have no idea, I just… it felt like I was still me, I had my memories and knew who I was, but I also knew other things. I could feel Anna's sadness and that lead me to her past and how she was hurt that she never could met our father and that our mother died as well, leaving her all alone. I remember wanting to erase her pain. It was like something else was taking over my body. Something ancient and wild. It was not until I noticed that I had legs and not a mermaid tail that it's grasps on me started to waver." I rubbed at my arms as I felt a chill go down them.

Raps but her arm around me and Flynn did the same. "Your still you Elsa."

Her word calmed me. I did not realize that I needed to hear that.

Flynn turned his head and stared at Anna. "Mind telling us what is going on?"

Anna bobbed her head. "I was never going to keep it a secret." She said it defensively.

Flynn opened his mouth to retaliate but I stopped him.

"I locked myself in the house after it had happened. She never got the chance to talk to me."

Flynn nodded his head and we all turned to see what Anna had to say.

She cleared her throat. "That was the ancient power of the Queen of merfolk. It is passed down from mother to daughter. All the royal born have it but only the rightful heir is truly connected to it."

"You have that same power?" Kristoff asked her.

"Yes, I actually have a lot of the power. Many people thought I was first born because of it; they are going to go nuts when they meet Elsa."

"Why would they go nuts?" Flynn asked.

"Because she has a lot of power. The strongest Queen in history does not even come close to Elsa."

"How do you know she is so powerful? Or is it something you can just tell?"

Anna pointed to the now almost melted pile of snow. "the Queens can control water, I never heard of them changing it to snow. I also could tell because she put me in a trance without even trying. As I said before, I am pretty strong despite not being the future queen."

I could not take it anymore. "what exactly does this power do, and why did it consume me last night?!" I did not mean to yell but I never wanted last night to happen again.

Anna looked hurt by my tone, but she quickly got rid of it when she looked at my pleading eyes. "you don't have to worry about losing control Elsa. I know exactly why it happened."

Kristoff gestured for her to continue.

"Mermaids powers are deeply connected to their emotions and they can transfer their emotions to others. You all know of the stories of sirens leading sailors to their deaths through songs, right?"

We all nodded.

"Mermaids used their powers to manipulate the feelings of others. It is one of the reasons we have been able to stay hiding. The Queen is always the strongest and can not only manipulate emotions and control the waves with ease, but also see into others hearts, that way they always can figure out what to do and how to keep her people in line. Elsa, you grew up not knowing who you were, and you had no knowledge of your powers. When you touched me, it sent a connected link from my powers to yours and awoken them. It was only because you did not realize what was happening that it took over."

"So as long as Elsa does not go in the water or touch you, she will be fine?" Kristoff inquired.

Anna frowned at that. "Elsa has to go in the water."

"Why?"

"Because she is the Queen."

"So?" Kristoff was getting annoyed. "Get another queen. You said that your powerful, why don't you do it."

Anna's eyes got big and she clinched her jaw, I could feel her anger and cowered into Rapunzel and Flynn.

"I am not the first born!" Anna exploded. "Merfolk do not fallow the same rules as you humans. We are magical creatures and are bound by our fates." Anna snapped her head towards me. "Elsa, you can run away. You can never touch another body of water again. But the moment our mother died the ocean resided in you. You are more connected then anyone on this land. It beacons you, and no matter how long you ignore it you will still fall to its power. One day you will find yourself unable to resist walking into the sea, and because you refused to except your power it will consume you. You will become a Sea Witch Queen who forces others under her will and rages storms on the land. You will no longer be you and I refuse to let that happen! I waited eighteen years to meet you, I will not let you become a monster or let you die so that I become Queen!"

"I can resist it!" I yelled back at her, denying what I knew since last night was true.

"You can't!" Anna yelled back. "Our mother tried to resist it! she wanted us to be together as a family for as long as she could! But she failed, and you and father never even got to meet me!"

Tears streamed down Anna's cheeks. She gritted her teeth and dived underwater.

I was taken aback by Anna. Since last night she has been calm and kind to me, to see her with tears in her eyes and for her to hide away from me, I felt a pain in my chest. After what I did to her last night, I never wanted to hurt her again but here I was, and I could not blame it on some ancient powers.

"you okay Elsa?" Raps asked me as she gave me a tight hug.

I moved myself out of her and Flynn's embrace. "I just need a moment to think." I looked around and feeling like there was nothing better to do I started to clean up my lawn.

I could hear my friends talking but did not bother to understand their words. Rapunzel yelled out that she was going to make breakfast and I saw Kristoff and Flynn start to help me.

Kristoff came up to me as I was raking up some twigs and other things.

"Do you believe that she is your sister?"

I thought about it for a moment before sighing and glancing at the pool. "I know that she is my sister."

Kristoff nodded his head. "If…" I could see he was trying to find the right words. "If you weren't the Queen and were just some mermaid with no supernatural powers. Would you be happier to see her?"

"I think I would have liked it if no type of mythical magic was involved."

Kristoff frowned at me, but I quickly looked away.

"Elsa, denying magical powers and fate is one thing, but denying your family is another."

I bit my lip at that. "What are you getting at Kristoff."

"All I'm saying is that you have the chance to get to know your sister, don't let your fear get in the way."

He walked away and I was left to think about his words. He was right, since last night all I could think about was how I was terrified and just wanted it to disappear. I did not even think about the fact that my little sister was back, or really acknowledge how she had missed me as much as I missed her.

We all worked in silence after that. I kept pondering what I wanted to do and how I felt about Anna. Rapunzel called us in for breakfast and I noticed that Anna had not resurfaced.

I gripped my hands and gritted my teeth. I walked inside and grabbed a plate of food and took it outside.

"Anna! Do you want some food?!" There was no reply, but I held fast. "It's really good!" The water did not even ripple. "Anna I am trying to apologize please come out!" Nothing. I took a deep breath and did something I had actually wanted to do for a long time. "ANNA COME OUT RIGHT NOW, BIG SISTERS ORDER!"

Anna's head popped out. She had a goofy grin on her face. "That's cheating."

I smiled at her as I sat down by the ledge. "It's only cheating if it is not part of the rules."

"I guess I will have to learn the rules too."

I motioned to the plate. "Do mermaids eat anything?"

Anna nodded. "Although we can actually go for months without food."

"How does pancakes sound?"

Anna perked up at that. "With chocolate chips?"

I raised my eyebrow at that. "You've had them before?"

Anna shook her head. "No, but mama said that they were her favorite."

I winced at that. "Dad made the best pancakes. Raps made these but I will make you some of his one day."

Anna hoisted herself up next to me and I scooted away.

Anna smiled mischievously at me. "Don't worry, you won't lose control if you touch me. I am pretty sure it only happened because you had not used your power before and because our emotions were all over the place." To prove her point she lifted her arm and poked me.

I scooted away some more, but I had a smile on my face now. "That's good to know, but I was actually trying to avoid the water. Your dripping wet."

Anna covered her mouth and laughed. I handed her the plate and she started to inspect the fork.

"You use it to eat instead of your hands." I explained.

"That's good, I found some in an old shipwreck and always wondered what they were for." She lowered the fork and scooped the pancake with it. I reached over and showed her how to use it properly after the pancake fell.

"What do mermaids eat?" I was quite curious. I might as well start to learn about my future life.

"lots of things." Anna started to count her fingers as she listed stuff. "there is some blue seaweed that if seasoned right with red kelp is really good, and then there is the mermaid gardens that have the most delicious fruits, and…"

"Gardens?" I said cutting her off.

"Yeah, we have secret underground gardens that hold fruit not found anywhere else." Anna started to wave her hands around excitedly. "They are beautiful, you have to see the one Mother and I created, we put so much work in it and I loved playing hide and seek. It's where Mom and Dad are now so it is the only place, we can all be together again as well."

"Mom and Dad are there?" What did she mean by that?

Anna looked sad for a moment and also guilty. "Their buried there. Mom found Dad's body, and although it meant you would never really know what happened to him for years, she just could not let him go a second time."

I looked down at the water. "They really loved each other."

"More then anything." Anna said it quietly and I felt like she was remembering a lovely memory, no doubt of her Mother talking about the man she loved, just like how Elsa's father told her about the woman who stole his heart.

"I'm scared Anna."

Anna looked over at me then put her now empty plat down. She lifted up her tail and hugged it to her chest. "I'm sorry I yelled at you."

I said nothing to that. I felt guilty because I believed that I should be the one to apologize.

Anna continued. "Elsa, I know this is a lot to take in, so just tell me, what do you want to do?"

I thought deep about it. That question was what I had been asking myself since I talked with Kristoff. I took a deep breath.

"I know that you are my sister and I know that I am the rightful Queen."

"Soooo?" Anna said trying to get me to go on.

I looked at her.

"I want you to teach me on how to be a mermaid."

'Yes!" Anna yelled as she threw up her arms. Similar shouts of excitement were heard behind us. I turned around to see Kristoff high fiving Flynn and Raps doing a cartwheel.

"Why are you guys excited?" I asked taken aback by their behavior.

"Well…" Rapunzel started. "We have known you for three years Elsa and in all that time I have never seen you talk so easily with anyone. But you seem so calm when it comes to Anna, we all knew you were just being stubborn and letting your fears get to you."

"Yeah, and you told us that the most recurring dream you have is underwater, and you are already queenly." Flynn added.

Kristoff just smiled and petted Sven.

I sighed but could not help but feel relieved. Knowing that my friends were on my side was a huge burden off my chest.

"All right, first things first, lets get you in the water." Anna said as she slid back into the pool.

"Will I transform just by being in the water?"

"Yep! Just like how your powers awoken when you touched me, your body is no doubt aching to be back in its original form. So, hop on in!" Anna patted the water.

I looked at the water, it was dark and murky. I was also not looking forward to all that seaweed rapped around me. And what if I drowned? I have not taken any swimming lessons and I will have a tail, how do fish swim? By moving their bodies from side to side?

I shook myself to get out of that train of thought, if I did not do it now I might never do it.

"I do not envy you jumping in that pool, it looks disgusting." Flynn said as I was trying to hype myself up.

"Don't listen to him Elsa." Rapunzel tried to reassure me. "Mermaids probably love seaweed and you will like it too."

"Actually." Anna said hesitantly as she picked a piece of seaweed off her head. "This pool is really bad. I have been dying to get out of it without causing another storm."

"What do you mean, cause another storm?" Flynn asked dramatically.

Anna cowered a bit in the water. "You see, I already told you that I have lot of power, but I don't have much control. I wanted to just create a wave to take me to Elsa but in the process, I made that storm and here I am." She shifted around.

"You're the reason that my party was canceled?!" Rapunzel shouted but she did not sound mad.

Anna's eyes went wide. "You were having a party? I am so sorry."

"Anyways." Kristoff interjected. "We should clean the pool and refill it with clean water."

Everyone nodded. Kristoff continued.

"First." He turned to Anna. "We need to get you out of there. Any ideas?"

Anna thought about it for a second before her face lit up. "I got one! Elsa could you come here?"

I approached her cautiously. She was at the edge of the pool with her arm stretched out to me.

"What are we doing?" I asked.

"You are just going to help me control my magic a bit. All you have to do is hold my hand and think control." Anna explained.

"Are you sure this will work? I don't need to do anything else?"

Anna nodded. "One of the perks of being Queen is that you are naturally able to do any magic."

I grab her hand and closed my eyes. I thought how I wanted Anna to be able to do her spell without any hiccups. I felt Anna move her hand away from mine.

"That should do it, now if you all will wait just a moment." Anna dove underwater.

The water rippled as Anna moved to the staircase. Then right where she was the water started to shine. Anna pocked her head out and then her shoulders came. She stood up in the water and walked out of the pool.

Anna walked out of the pool! Was what screamed through my mind. All her scales were gone, replaced with a strapless aqua blue dress. And her tail had turned into legs.

Anna looked down at herself. "I did it!" she jumped up and down and ran to me but stumbled and fell flat on the ground.

"Anna!" I screamed and ran over to see if she was alright. I helped her sit up.

"Don't worry, I'm okay, I just need a moment to figure out how to work these things." She stretched her legs out in front of her. "It's like their caring all my weight.

I laughed at that. "Come on, I'll help you to a chair and you can have as much time to figure it out."

"We will start on the pool." Kristoff called out.

After I helped Anna I went and helped clear out the pool as much as we could. Then we drained it hosed it down. Finally, we just had to wait for it to finish refiling. By this time Anna had learned how to walk and was enjoying the grass.

"Sometimes the ground is nice and soft and ticklish but other times it's like it's biting me." Anna said as she walked over to us.

We all laughed at that. "It does that, and that is why we humans wear shoes." Flynn told her.

Anna looked down at our feet and frowned. Rapunzel smiled and grabbed her arm. "No need to say anything Anna, I know exactly how you feel." Rapunzel then kicked off her own shoes.

"Pools ready!" Kristoff yelled.

Anna practically stumbled over in her rush to get back in the water. She dove straight in. The water glowed when she made contact and when it faded Anna was a mermaid once more.

"Aaaaah. That feels nice." Anna stretched out in the water and then started to do laps. Now that the water was clear I could see how graceful Anna moved in the water. She then came back to where we stood.

"You ready Elsa?"

I did not know. I looked at the water and then started to pace. I managed to hype myself up enough to attempt jumping but remembered that I had shoes on and quickly took them off.

"Do you want me to just throw you in?" Kristoff asked.

I shook my head. "No, if I don't do this by myself, I may never be able to."

I walked away from the pool. I turned around and ran straight for it, wiling myself to not slow down. Reaching the edge, I leapt. I quickly covered my mouth and noes and closed my eyes. I felt myself sink into the water. I sunk all the way down to the bottom before I tried to go back to the surface, but my body was acting weird. My legs refused to kick, and I was running out of breath. All of a sudden, I felt arms grab me and lift me up. We brook through the surface and I took a much needed gasp of air.

I opened my eyes and saw my friends with their mouths wide open, shock written all over their faces.

Flynn was the first to find his voice. "It's a good thing no one ever played a prank and dumbed you in water before Elsa."

"What?"

"Look down Elsa." Came Anna's voice. I turned my head and noticed that she held me from the back, keeping me afloat.

I looked down and felt like I was dreaming. I was a mermaid. The placement of my scales and of all my fins were just like Anna's, but my tail was longer, my fins were all bigger and long, and my scales and fins were a beautiful blue with a shimmer of lighter blue in them.

Remembering that my legs had not been working correctly and I tested my tail. It felt weird because I no longer had knees, I did not know if I had any type of bones like my legs now. I got my tail to swish back and forth and with my hands I started to stroke the water. I felt Anna slowly release me, and I managed to stay afloat.

I looked up and smiled.

My friends hooted and cheered.

Anna clapped her hands together to get our attention. "All righty, now that the easy part is over, we can do the hard part."

I looked at her worriedly. "What do you mean easy and hard part?"

"Jumping into the pool and transforming is nothing. "She stared me straight in my eyes. "Now you have to convince yourself to try and breath under water."

I could not help but grimace at that. Telling a girl who has lived her whole life afraid of the water to just willingly breath in it was asking to much in my book.

"Come one Elsa, you can do it." Raps encouraged me.

I looked back at my friends who all were supporting me. I smiled and then dove my head under water. It took me an hour before I finally did it and was now at the bottom of the pool just admiring my surroundings. After the first five minutes Flynn had gone to get some chairs for them to sit in and then Raps had grabbed snacks. At the thirty-minute mark Kristoff started to play with Sven and Flynn had asked Anna to just drag me to the bottom and drown me, he got a face full of water from Anna.

Anna swam towards me.

I smiled at her and opened my mouth. "Bluble." Came from me, I had tried to say hello.

Anna smiled and touched her head. "Don't speak, think." She did not move her mouth.

Dumbfounded I tried it. "Hello?"

Anna cheered. "Hello Elsa."

"How are we doing this?" I asked her.

"Think of it as telepathy." Anna started to explain. "If you try to talk underwater it will just come out as a garble, so mermaids can project their thought. Don't worry you can turn it off and on, just like how you can just shut your mouth to stop speaking and open it to start. You can also chose who you want to hear you."

I nodded my head. It made since. Sometimes this whole mermaid thing was just magical and other times they seemed to fallow some rules of nature.

"Do you want to stay here or go back up?" Anna asked me.

"Let's go up."

We swam up and as soon as we broke the surface Flynn made a dramatic sigh.

"Finally!"

I taped the water and a stream shot out and hit him. I turned to Anna.

"Now what?"

She put her had to her chin in thought. "Well, you've transformed, can move around and finally are breathing underwater. Why don't we have a race?"

A race sounded good to me. I was not used to my body yet so maybe working it might do the trick.

I turned to my friends. "You guys want to race?"

Kristoff shrugged but had a smile on his face, Flynn said something like "prepare to eat my dust", and Rapunzel replied by jumping into the pool and bracing herself against the edge. We all got in line. Kristoff and Flynn stayed out of the pool to run, while Raps, Anna, and me where going to swim.

Kristoff started the countdown. "On your marks…Get set…"

"Bark!" Sven barked.

We all took off. Anna zipped straight to the other side of the pool in seconds and touched its edge. Flynn shouted that that was unfair, he got to the other side second. Rapunzel was actually a really good swimmer and made it in third. Kristoff simply made it in fourth. And I was almost halfway there as I thrashed about trying to get myself to go faster.

I just gave up when I heard laughter.

"I think I should just teach you how to swim first." Anna said as she swam to me.

Kristoff nodded. "I think that would be best. Well, good luck Elsa." He waved at me as he headed for the house.

"Where are you going?" I asked him.

He turned to me. "Home, I still have schoolwork to do and chores. Call me if you need help with anything."

"Yeah, it seems like you have everything under control so I should head out to, I promised to mow the lawn." Flann said winking at me.

"Me too, my parents are probably wondering why I have been gone so long and are no doubt starting to panic." Rapunzel said as she got out of the water.

I swam to the edge of the pool as quickly as I could, which was not very fast. Rapunzel waited for me though. Once I made it there, she knelt down and whispered in my ear.

"You'll be fine Elsa. You can call us if you need us." She gave me an encouraging smile. "Besides, this is a perfect opportunity for you to spend time with Anna."

I gave her a pout but did not argue with her. Rapunzel stood up and she, Kristoff and Flynn waived and said goodbye to me and Anna. I gave a little wave back while Anna gave a big wave.

Once they were gone Anna appeared next to me.

"Do you want to get started?"

I turn to her. "What exactly am I doing wrong?"

"You're just kicking your tail." Was her immediate response.

I frowned and looked down. I noticed that I was simply moving my tail back and forth and using my arms a lot to stay afloat. Anna on the other hand seemed to swirl her tail around and her arms barely moved.

I sighed. "What exactly am I supposed to do?"

"Stop thinking about it and also remember that you are a mermaid now."

I frowned at her. "What is that supposed to mean and that contradicts itself?"

Anna raised her hands up dismissively. "Let me explain."

"You should have started with that." I said as I splashed her with water.

She blinked a few times but did not seem fazed by my attack. "You swim like you have legs. You are only moving part of your tail; you need to use your whole body."

I once again looked down. She was right, I was still acting like I had knees, and was swishing my tail back and forth to make up for not having two pairs of feet.

Anna taped me. "Let me show you." Anna moved her body in an exaggerated way. I noticed that where I simply used my lower half from my hips, Anna curved her whole body. She dove down and swam slowly away from me so I could see how everything moved up and down, and to the sides.

She resurfaced and looked back to me. "Now you try, and I will call out your mistakes."

I nodded and dove under.

It took quite a while for me to start doing it correctly and then even more time After Anna told me that she would no longer spot me.

"Swimming should come to you naturally. Just like how you walk." She said as she crossed her arms after I had begged her to keep helping.

"But I didn't grow up learning to swim like how I learned how to walk." I said defensively, mimicking her folded arms.

Anna just smirked at me. "I learned how to walk in an hour of getting a pair of legs, what is your excuse?"

I just frowned and went back to practicing.

After a while of me failing to swim fast and gracefully like my sister, I finally took Anna's advice and just did not think about it. It all just seemed to click as soon as I did. And now Anna and eye were racing.

"I won again!" Anna yelled.

I frowned, even though I could swim great now, I had yet to beat Anna.

Anna looked smugly at me. "Don't feel bad Elsa, I have yet to meet a merfolk who could beat me in a race."

I got upset at that. "You knew you were faster than me! that's why you suggested we raced."

Anna just shrugged innocently at that. "I mean, I like racing." She mumbled.

I ignored her and got ready for another round, my face set in determination. Anna looked a bit worried but still got in place.

"Three… two…one…GO!" Anna cried out and we took off.

Anna immediately got the lead, but I had something up my sleeve. I took control of the water around me and it propelled me forward. I zoomed past Anna and when I got to the opposite side, I did not just tap it, I grabbed it and threw myself up onto the ledge turning myself around in the process. Now I was sitting down and looking back at Anna who had a stunned look on her face. I gave her a little wave.

"That's Cheating!" Anna yelled as she pointed an accusing finger at me.

I just shrugged nonchalantly. "I did not know it was against the rules."

"It should have been obvious!" Anna continued to pout.

I simply just sat there looking at her smugly. She puffed out her cheeks and glared at me but then broke into a grin and started to laugh. I joined her and we just stayed there laughing. I laid down on the ground and looked up at the sky. I had not realized how late it was. The sun was already on its way down. I slid back into the pool.

"I think we should call it a day. Why don't we turn back into humans and I'll make us dinner?" I said as I swam to where the staircase was.

"OK!" Anna yelled in agreement.

I smiled and then closed my eyes, thinking about turning back into a human. I opened them and nothing had happened. I turned to Anna.

"How do I turn back?"

Anna's eyes went wide with realization. "Oops."

I started to panic. "What do you mean, Oops!"

Anna could not look me in the eye. "I forgot that you need to learn the transformation spell."

"I thought you said the queen could do any magic?!" I yelled frightened.

"Yeah, but you can't exactly do something you don't know how to do in the first place." She explained. "There are two types of magic, the one we naturally have, like controlling the water and communicating telepathically. And then there are spells that we need to learn. You can't turn back because you don't know the spell for it."

I relaxed a little at that. "Okay, so you just need to teach me the spell." I said and then looked expectantly at her.

She continued to avoid eye contact.

"I can't exactly do that." She said.

"What! Why not?!" I was practically hyper ventilating.

"It's something you cannot just explain, you have to read the ancient text and that kind of does the trick." She started to fidget.

I was fully panicking now. "Anna, I have school, I can't just stay in here, just give me the text thingy and let's get out of here." As I said it, I realized that there was no way Anna could give it to me, it was not like she had any pockets to keep them in or anything. "You don't have them, do you?"

Anna looked at me now with her hands raised. "Don't worry I can write it down for you, I just…" Anna ducked under water. It glowed and she ran out of the pool.

I made a desperate leap to grab her. "Anna you get back here right now!" I yelled.

She just started to briskly walk to my house. "I'll be back, I just need to find something to write with!" She yelled back at me as she got farther away. As she was doing that she stumbled and fell over. I winced, imagining her pain but then a thought struck me.

"I thought you said you learned how to walk?" I said it smugly with a grin on my face.

She rubbed at her knee. "Okay, no need to be sassy."

I smiled, feeling like I had won. "How long will it take to write it?" I asked.

"Just a couple of days." Anna said as she got up.

"What!"

Anna dashed for the door and managed to get inside just as I had sent a big stream of water at her.

"Anna!"

Author's note:
Thank you all for the reviews. I just wanted to say that I do have a couple of ideas for this story and an ending. I just am not putting that much time and effort in it like I do with my other stories. This one is just for fun.

It was actually supposed to be funny and light hearted, but then I got the idea for the power of the Queen and then started to think about how would mermaids live and what would their powers be. So, do not be surprised if the tone is constantly changing. Anna snapping at Elsa that she had to get in the water was basically me telling Elsa that the story needed to get moving.

The only thing that I do not like in this chapter is Rapunzel and Flynn. I realized too late that I had know idea on how to write them. They will be gone for now but Kristoff is definitely coming back next chapter.

Next chapter is Elsa's first time in the Ocean. Send me any ideas for other chapters you think might be good, it can be Anna and Elsa exploring the ocean, or Elsa showing Anna around town, anything as long as they do it together.

Once again thank you for reading!
