Disclaimer: I don't own HxH or Naruto. I'm just making a story using these characters.
Leorio was quickly devolping as a great hunter. He had gotten his nen ability and was starting to master and perfect it.
Kurapika was going after Illumi. He had recently found out that Ilumi was after Gon. This was unacceptable. If Illumi got to Gon, he would kill Gon. Kurapika knew this to be true, but could do nothing about it. However, the 1st thing he did was trying to go to the Zoldyck mansion. He called Canary and said:
'I'm going to the Zoldyck mansion'
'HUH? WHAT?' Canary responding in a cealry confused and bewildered tone 'I'm not sure if there's any way for me to save Killua & Gon; however, I'll try my best, as they were the ones who helped me regain myself in the first place, and helped me stop caring so much about revenge'
'You can't do that' Canary responded 'Why not?' Kurapika asked 'Because it's closely guarded. Don't you remember the last time you guys tried entering? The dog prevented you, and security has been on higher alert than before due to your stunt'
'I don't care'
'I need to do whatever possible to save Killu & Gon. Again, they're the ones who saved me, and I owe it to them'
'Alright' Canary said, 'But just don't get killled on the way'
'Don't worry, I won't'
After Kurapika hanged up, Melody asked why Kurapika would want to go to the mansion 'To confront the Zoldyck family once and for all about this entire situation. Even though Illumi may be acting alone to try and kill Gon, as Canary said, the Zoldyck family agreed to it'
'Yes, I understand that part, but why would you go to the mansion? Illumi isn't there anymore most likely. He's probably already left'
'Your right. He has probably already left. But as I mentioned before, I'm going to confront the Zoldyck family about this entire situation'
'And then?' Melody inquired.
'After that, I'll try to convience them to understand my perspective on the situation, and stop Illumi from killing Gon'
'And what if that doesn't work?'
She's right Kurapika thought. It's completly possible my idea backfires and doesn't work. What do I do then?
'In that case, I do the only thing I can realsitically do. Use force'
After a feew seconds of pause, Melody said 'I see...'
'Well, lets hope it doesn't have to come to that' Kurapika mentioned. 'I'm hoping I can solve this issue diplomatically and with words. I'm hoping force or violence won't be necessary, but I'm not 100% sure if it will work. I may need to end up using it anyways, just as a last resort.'
'If you do use violence, make sure not to use your nen ability, Chain Jail. You know you can only use it on phantom troupe right? Otherwise, you'll be killed.'
'Yes I recognize this, which is why I probably won't be using it. Wait, how do you know about that in the first place?!'
Melody let out a little chuckle.
'I know a lot about you Kurapika. A lot more than you could ever imagine. You don't have to know how I found out that information'
'I don't know' said Kurapika 'That's pretty suspicious in my opinion. I mean, your witholding knowldege about me, right?'
'No I'm not, you already have this knowledge, so it shouldn't be an issue'
'Right, but still, you never mentioned that you knew about Chain Jail before so that's a little weird. Speaking of which, where did you even get that information in the 1st place?'
Melody chuckled again.
'It's a secret... I'm not telling you'
Ok, now something was up. Kurapika had already been suspicious of Melody beforehnad, but this incidtent had just raised her suspicion levels from a 2 to a 6. Something was going on behind the scenes that Kurapika didn't know about, and something happened, but he didn't want to dwell on it for too long, because he knew his next destination was the Zoldkyck Estate, so he wanted to get there as soon as possible.
'Driver' Kurapika said 'Yes?' the driver respopnded 'Take me to the Zoldyck estate'
'What?' The dirver said in shock 'I said, take me to the Zoldyck estate' Kurapika repeatedoi 'No, I heard you, but are you serious right now?'
'Yes'
'You do realize how dangerous that area is right? It's off limits to the general public'
'Don't worry, you don't have to drop me off directly in front of the Zoldyck estate, just drop me off in front of the testing gate, I'll go inside it myself'
'Alright the driver said' still a little worried about what Kurapika had told him, and hesitant to drive there.
'Anyways, back on topic Melody'
Kurapika was about to speak to Melody, but saw she had already fallen asleep. Although he was suspicious of her actions adn true intentions just a minute ago, he couldn't help but faintly smile when he saw Melody sleeping in her seat. He thought of giving her a blanket, or lettting her sleep on her lap, but he realized how akwakard that would be, and since she was already asleep, didn't wake her up, or disturb her. Although Melody was already asleep, she did bring up a good point. How would he deal with the Zoldyck family? He couldn't use Chain Gate, or else he would die. He could use the Scarlet Eyes, but probably not Emperor's Time or else he would remove years of his already short life span. Now obviously he could do it, if he was forced to and backed into a corner, but why would he? His main goal was taking revenge for the Kurta clan, and he wanted to use as much energy/power he had against them, so why would he use it against the Zoldycks? As a matter of fact, should he even use it against the Zoldycks? Who would he use it against? Silva? Kikyo? Maybe Milluki? He didn't know, but he knew that if words couldn't be used, he would be backed into a corner, and forced to use his Scarlet Eyes, or possibly even Emperor Time, but he knew that no matter what, he didn't want to use his Chain Gate, because that would assure his death, and he didn't want to die just yet.
Hi guys, another quick update. It's been a while since my last chapter update (nearly 1.5 years but not exactly), and since I made a chapter 1.5 years after my 1st 2 chapters released, I decided to do it around the same time again (although not exactly). I think my releases will be really slow, possibly even as slow as Togashi's HxH releases (lol), although I did see he's coming back on Twitter, so there's something to look forward to in the mean time. I'll probably make a new chapter every 6 months, or every year, but don't quote me on that. I tried making this a bit longer than my previous chapter, around 1000 words, so you guys could read a bit more content from me, and to at least somewhat make up for the lack of consistent releases (although I guess technically it is somewhat consistent, since it's approximately 1.5 years per chapter, but I guess instead I'd say it's a very slow release for my story). This chapter was mostly focused on Kurapika & Melody, and setup for the next chapters and future plot threads, so even though it may be a bit boring, just know that it's all buildup for the climax of this story (although I don't think I'm anywhere near the climax yet). Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this chapter, and as always feedback would be greatly appreciated.
