Anna got a call from Will, as Hannibal said as he came in with the phone. She was a bit confused and took the phone call. She was told that she was needed for the case. So, he was coming over to pick her up, and take her to a scene to touch something. Something he wanted to try out.
She agreed, as she wanted to be helpful.
So, she got changed in some shorts and a shirt. Something simple, and quick. She also pulled her hair into a ponytail. Slipping on her sneakers, she grabbed her phone, and bag before going outside with Hannibal.
He was adamant with Will that he come along. Saying that as her doctor, and current guardian, he had every reason to be there with her. To make sure that she is mentally ok through whatever Will was going to have her do.
When Will arrived, Hannibal was gentleman enough to open the door and helped her inside the car, before getting in as well.
"Hello Anna, Hannibal." Will mumbled his greetings tiredly before driving off to their destination. Anna was quiet as she looked out the window. What all could she do to help? Did Hannibal really need to come? She wanted to become her own person.
Yeah. He is trying to fix her. Cure her. Help her.
But how can she be cured if he's always there to pick her up when she falls. She needs to walk on her own some. It was like he didn't want her without him. She assumed that he just wants to make sure she doesn't hurt herself again, and/or was really serious about his job.
They were soon arriving at a sandy area of a lake. The area of the last crime scene. There were two people standing out there were the body had been, waiting on them. Anna recognized one, who turned to look at them. It was Jack Crawford.
"Hannibal, Jack said for you to wait out here. We will be talking to Anna, and then we will do what we wanted her to do." Will told Hannibal. Anna looked at Dr. Lector, seeing that he didn't look happy by this.
She didn't know what came to her, and placed a hand on his shoulder, making him look at her. "I'll be ok. If it becomes too much I'll come right back." She told him. He watched her for a moment, but then sighed and nodded.
Anna nodded once and then got out with Will.
He led Anna to Jack and the other person standing with Jack. She saw it was Detective Simon Walker. And seeing him, it made her heart race, and her cheeks heat up.
She felt like a little girl with her first crush, just like when she first met Matt a few years back.
Hannibal saw Simon and got angry. How dare they have HIS Anna be around the likes of Simon Walker. He wanted to go out there and take Anna away. But he couldn't. His motives would be questioned.
His Anna could be taken from him fully.
So, for now, all he had to do is wait for this to be done with. He just hoped that it gets done with quickly.
"So, Anna. We spoke with your sister. She told us about how you see things when you touch things." Will told her. Anna froze and looked at him frightened. He gave a small comforting smile. "It's ok Anna. I see things as well. I can see a crime through the eyes of the killer. And I just want to see if you if you can do it as well. And if so, we can get you spot in the academy to train it under me, and then you can help others." Will told her.
Hearing all this being said, Anna relaxed.
They weren't going to lock her away again.
Anna nodded and when he nodded once, Will walked her fully to where Jack and Simon were waiting for her.
"Hello Anna. I don't know if you remember me. I'm Jack, and this is Simon." The older man introduced himself. She nodded. "I remember." Anna said softly. She looked at Simon shyly threw her bangs.
He gave her a soft smile, and it made her blush and look away.
Jack led the teen to where the body was with Will. Anna saw the stand that the body was put on. Simon had his arms crossed and had a worried look on his face. He didn't like this girl doing this. She's a troubled girl who needs help, not more trouble.
A rather pretty girl. But he was an adult, and she was a minor. Off limits.
He had to remember that, when she looked at him with such a sweet and shy smile. It made him feel guilty when it made his heart skip a beat. But, it wasn't like he was able to leave her. She was part of his job.
She is the reason he was here. Well... her past was.
And he wasn't going to leave until his job was closed.
Anna's shoulders were lightly grabbed by Will, after her put gloves on her hands. "Close your eyes." He told her softly. He then had her reach out and touch the stand that had dried blood. Anna gasped as a image of a shadow person running.
As they didn't show her the case file, she had no idea what the victim looked like, she couldn't see the person. All she saw was a shadow person.
"Tell me what you see." Will said. "If you see anything. I want you to say it out loud." He told her.
"They were scared. They were being chased. I don't see much of anything else. It stops when they get here to the sandy parts." She told him, opening her eyes. Will nodded and let her moved away.
"You did a great job Anna. Alex was right. You are just like me, we can see visions." He told her surprised that he wasn't alone.
"I'm going to take her to go sit." Simon said. "Clear her mind." He explained. Anna nodded and went over to the man and followed him away to go sit and talk.
The two walked to be closer to a dune like area, and he helped her sit down, before he also sat down.
"You still want to know about everything that happened with Matt?" Anna shyly asked him. Simon looked at her and nodded. "But we don't have to right now. Just relax. I'm sure you're a bit shaken." He told her.
She shrugged. "I can tell you. I don't think it will do anything good. He told me that he saw what happened the night my mother died. We have been trying to talk about it, and so he asked me to meet him there, and when my sister and I got there, he wasn't." Anna told him.
"And how come he's never told you?" He asked her. "Well. He's tried. But Rachel would come around, and he would get scared." She told him honestly. "Rachel? Your future stepmother?" Simon asked, making Anna nod.
"Anna? Dr. Lector wants you to come on back so he can check on you." Jack Crawford called. Anna looked at Jack and nodded, before she turned to look at Simon. "I hoped that helped in some way." She told him, before getting up, and leaving him there.
Will walked over to Simon.
"Who got Hannibal to be Anna's doctor? And to live with him for a bit?" Simon asked the other man. "Her stepmother Rachel. She used to be Lector's student." Will answered. Simon scoffed with a angry grin.
He knew it. He was even closer to closing this case. He just had to figure out what Anna had to do with all of this.
"And the last victim? Did we find out the name?" He asked Will. "Cara Heard. She's eighteen and went to Anna's school. Apparently was a bully to Anna." Another thing that connected Anna to all the death surrounding her.
Was she apart of this all? No. She wasn't. She was to broken inside to kill someone as vicious as the victims died. She was really close with Matt. In fact, they were dating. Anna's sister, Alex, told them that the two have liked each other for years and were like lovesick puppies together. That it was an adorable thing, and how Anna reacted to seeing that Matt was dead.
Anna was innocent in all of this. But she was a part of this whole thing. But she just didn't know it.
And HE was going to put a stop to it.
