Wearing a long white dress, she was wandering barefoot in a dark and cold world where a light wind blew amidst a heavy silence. To this wind, was mingled some kind of murmur, muffled voices, and Claire looked around her, seeking their origin, but all around, there was only a strange mist, so thick that she couldn't distinguish anything beyond a stone's throw. It was then that the voices called her:
"Claire…"
Without waiting for her mind's consent, her body followed those whispers, bringing her to the edge of a river whose waters were so dark they were almost black. Looking at it, Claire noticed that the current was strong and on the opposite bank, she was able to see dark, trembling figures in the middle of the mist. The voices became more distinct and she recognized several of them. They were people who lost their lives in the Fall, people she knew. There was Zara, her assistant; Katashi Hamada, the captain of Isla Nublar's Grey Guard garrison; Victor Hoskins, director of InGen's security division; Simon Masrani; and Gray, the youngest of her nephews.
While Zara's voice was apologizing for betraying her, those of Captain Hamada, Hoskins, Masrani and Gray were accusing her. They blamed her for sending men to their deaths, for destroying the lives of her colleagues and many other people, for tipping Jurassic World into the darkness and her nephew's voice asked her where she was when he was killed.
"I failed…," her lips kept whispering while she was overwhelmed.
And in an almost mechanical way, she moved into the river, desiring to join the spectres on the other bank. Her robe stained and soaked, the water rose to her waist, but as she progressed the spectres receded, disappearing into the mist and their voices died away. It was as if they had never been there. Looking down in defeat, Claire saw her reflection in the water. While the only audible sound was the lapping of the river, she stared at her reflection for a moment but at the same time, a large shadow moved underwater, getting closer to Claire.
The water rippled and her reflection disappeared, giving way to the head of the Indominus. Claire froze in terror and watched the monster rise from the waters and tower over her in a great spray of black water while hissing and growling, appearing as she had last seen her, with half of her face burned and the right forearm missing.
Claire fell backwards and sank under the water, but her back did not met the riverbed. Instead, she continued to sink, and the Indominus plunged her head and neck into the water, opening her jaws wide to grab her...
Claire woke up with a start and sat, and Owen was awakened by her heavy breathing. He sat and put a hand on his girlfriend's back. She was shaking and her forehead was sweating. He hugged her and gently stroked her hair, whispering soft, comforting words to her while she cried against his chest.
