Chapter 3
They were all coughing and just then realizing that Ronald might be a handful and he might get into a whole lot of trouble. They were worried that when the Weasley twins met their guest from another world all hell would break lose.
A couple of weeks later, Severus Snape had to bring Ronald Knox to Diagon Alley to get a wand, robes, a pet, books, and a cauldron. Ronald had spent his time exploring the many nooks and crannies in Hogwarts, ending up in places where the teachers were getting ready and scaring them all half to death.
Snape was afraid that he would be the next one to feel the wrath of Ronald if he was not on his guard at all times. Snape had realized that Ronald Knox was a natural at breaking into places and those places were the common rooms for all of the houses.
Ronald was ecstatic to be exploring this new area before he had to go home. The teachers, mainly professor Snape, professor Mcgonagall, and professor Dumbledore, agreed to help him find a way home and Snape was making a potion for that.
Ronald was not happy because he had to go back to school, but as a fifth year student, he was way older than 15. He would have to devise a really good plan to make a lot of mischief when he was at school. But on the bright side, he thought, I get to learn magic and I get to see dragons, trolls, and vampires. I will see mermaids and fairies. This was going to be fun but an awful school year.
"Ronald Knox! Get back here. I have to get you in Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions Shop," hissed Snape, when he saw Ronald wandering off to who knows where.
"Oh ok, just hold your horses, Senpai Snape," Ronald cheerfully said.
Ronald then walked into the shop and saw a bunch of stools and many black robes. He gagged because he was not very fond of how they were all black.
"Ah, just a moment, just a moment, dearie," a female voice said from a back room.
A lady came out and Ronald guessed she was Madam Malkin. She was a tiny lady and had pins in her hands.
"Oh hello, and who are you? Are you here for your Hogwarts fitting dearie?"
"Yes I am. Are you by any chance Madam Malkin from the sign on this shop? Oh, and I am Ronald Knox."
After that, they then went to the book shop and bought his books. Then they got his cauldron and Snape was barking at him to keep it all clean. They found Ronald a pet and it was a cat. Ronald named him Marky because he liked the name.
Last but not least, they went to Ollivander's Wand shop. Ronald walked in, it was very dark and dusty.
"Hello, is anyone here? Am I going to have to find a wand on my own? You know, this place reminds me of The Undertaker's at times."
"Ah yes, yes, who might you be? You are a bit old to get a wand? Are you here because you broke one by chance?" an old man said. He looked at Ronald with curiosity.
Ronald looked surprised because the man was old and had very bright eyes. He had silvery hair. But, what was strange was, that he was old even though he wasn't a reaper.
"No, I have never had a wand before. This will be my first time."
"Ah, a new customer how wonderful," he said with glee. Then he started getting boxes out with a bunch of different wands. Ronald tried them all. Each one made a bang or an explosion or just did not do anything at all.
It seemed like he had tried all of them, but what was curious was that the old man was getting happier and happier at how many boxes they were going through.
Then, he pulled the last one out and said, "Here is one I think might do for you. It is an 11 inch wand with Dementor and Dragon Heartstring this might just work for you."
He then gave Ronald the wand. When Ronald grabbed hold of it, a warm feeling and a wave of sound came. This was his wand all right.
"Yes, this is the one for you my boy."
At the Grim Reaper headquarters, William and Othello were doing their best to find leads and Othello was experimenting on the wand to see what it did.
"Othello, do you have any clue what has happened? Or, why that stick is there and how to get Ronald back?" William said in frustration. He had tried to go out and question Undertaker, but Undertaker was not there and his shop looked dusty and dirty.
It was strange because Undertaker never left his shop and he always kept it clean. The only thing that William found was a silver fox just sitting in a coffin munching on a dog biscuit.
"Well, William, what I found in this stick is a wonder. There seems to be magic emanating from this. Oh, and when I swished it, a bright red spark appeared and then it disappeared."
William paled at that. That meant if there was magic coming from this stick, Ronald Knox was in another world. But, it was a world that Grim Reapers despised because there were people with magic and the people that had wands did not like anything that was different from them.
"Othello, I know where Ronald Knox is and it will be very hard to get him away from there."
"William, where is he and why are you looking pale?"
"Othello, Ronald Knox is in the world of magic, wizards, witches, and magical beings." At that, Othello paled. They had all heard of those stories. Their leader, Death, was the one who controlled that world. But, they would have to contact him. What was more worrisome was that Death had his own problems with his world.
