Chapter 4
At Hogwarts on September 1st, Ronald had been told that he would be the cousin of Severus Snape, a distant cousin that is. When Ronald had heard that, he didn't really feel all that happy. When he looked at Snape it seemed he didn't like that idea at all either.
But what was most worrisome for the professors was that a Ministry official was coming to be a teacher and that she would watch over everything. They did not want her finding out about Ronald Knox who was not a wizard but really a Grim Reaper.
They knew if she found out, Ronald would be harmed, or worse, he would be locked away and classified with all of the other magical creatures.
On the train to Hogwarts
Hermione says, "Ron, Harry, who do you think will be the professor for this year? And did you hear what Dumbledore said about the transfer student? Who do you think he will be?"
"I don't Know Mione, he could be anyone. I hope the transfer or whatever does not get put in Slytherin."
"Oh whatever, it couldn't be that bad, could it?" asked Harry
At Hogwarts, Ronald was freaking out but he was excited because he would meet other people. And he had heard about these twins who were nefarious for making trouble and he was looking forward to meeting them.
Ronald had had lots of lessons on magic and he had read most of the books that came with his work. He was a little bored but he couldn't wait to break into Senpai Snape's room in the middle of the night and plant a whole ton of booby traps and pails of water to fall onto his head.
When the first years came in, everyone was surprised to see a tall boy with Hogwarts robes, black glasses, blondish red hair and black roots. All of the girls immediately thought he was handsome and some Slytherins thought he was weird.
While others thought, who in the world is he? And what house will he be in? After all of the first years were sorted, Dumbledore stood up and everyone went silent.
"Good day to you and welcome back to a new year at Hogwarts. Today you have probably seen a new student standing with the rest of the first years. Well, he is a transfer student and he will be in the fifth year."
There were many voices asking questions and many were wondering who the boy was and which house he was going to be in.
"Well, this young boy is a cousin of one of our professors. And that professor is Severus Snape."
The hall went utterly, completely silent. You could hear a pin drop. They were all stunned that this teen around their age was professor Snape's cousin. Harry, Hermione, Ron, and the rest of Gryffindor house were grumpy. They did not think anything could be worse but hearing that the guy their age was his cousin was not what they wanted to hear.
They all thought that he would be like Snape and hate all of them and be snotty and he would love the Slytherins.
"Right, Knox Ronald would you please come," Mcgonagall said.
Ronald walked up and put the hat on his head. He jumped, he did not expect a talking, or rather telepathic, hat.
"Well, this is odd. You are not human. What are you? A Grim Reaper, hmm, this is interesting, where shall I put you?" the hat whispered in his ear.
"Well, Mister Hat, I'm trying to find a way home but until I know how to get home I have to stay here and make due with whatever."
"Ah, I see, you are quite spirited and fun loving but you are also sneaky and cunning. You are very brave but you do not really like work so Ravenclaw will not work for you. Hmm, where should I put you? Oh dear, you have a very mischievous side so you would get along fine with Fred and George Weasley. Hmm, I know where to put you now. Gryffindor!" the hat shouted.
Ronald then leapt up and walked to where he saw the gold and red table. The kids were all clapping but he saw some faces did not really look that happy. He smiled at them and took a seat next to two identical red headed boys.
"Hello my name is."
"Fred"
"George"
"Weasley," both of them said together.
