This song is about Jonas, our mercenary. Sorry again for the third rewrite of this fic. I hope you guys like this one. This song of LP is Shadow of the Day. I hope you guys get why I have I chose this song.

Jonas was sitting on the kitchen table, cleaning the 1911 from his dad. He was rubbing it with a cloth to make sure it stayed clean. He wasn't really smiling but just a small grin on his face as he made sure that the gun would function in a proper way when he would have to use it.

It was early in the evening and the sun was beginning to set. He had thrown himself again in this world, ready to start as mercenary and fighter again. Last night had proven that. To quite a few people.

He would move to the base rather sooner than later. He had to. It was easier for him to get access and store up guns and ammo. He had been lucky that at least he was packing this gun. Sliding the magazine in the holder, he flipped the safety on and aimed at nothing in particular. Last night had been really hectic for him.

Not that he didn't mind but back again in this. He had been around the White One and while he might be a complete battle idiot, he made a decent point. Those involved in the White or Red wouldn't have good lives. But not having good lives or getting your ass killed was one hell of a difference.

Even so, the White One hasn't been in Africa when the shit came down and where things broke loose. He hadn't a single clue why someone was so obsessed with fighting.

Those who truly want to go to war have never been there. A saying that could fit on countless people.

And those who died, have only seen the end of war. Not that Jonas had any interest in dying yet. He had a whole lot to live for.

After he was done cleaning his gun, it went in the holster of his hip. He went to the stairs and climbed from the attic on the roof.

He looked at the sun who was setting. Wordlessly, he looked at it, not caring about a single thing at this point. He just looked at the sun setting and focused on nothing else.

At some point, he felt a tensing and looked to his side. Underneath his left arm, a Fallen Angel had made herself comfortable. Raynare purple eyes locked on Jonas and he looked back at hers. He didn't really mind that.

Pulling her closer, the two didn't need to say a single word at all. They just wanted to sit there. Raynare had been lucky after the mess in the Church. Jonas had a bit too much on his line to let her die that easily. Nothing in this world could do anything to her.

Jonas just shrugged as she got closer to him and eventually, their lips met. He didn't really protest. He had been looking for her.

It had been ten years. As long he would breath, they were spending the rest of their time together.

A bit short but I didn't want too much involved in this. I had fun writing this. I got my three major OC's done with this. And the smaller ones as well. Franky, I have been listening to LP after Chester's suicide again. It makes me realize that you gotta pull through. No matter how tough things get. Just keep going. That asides, sorry for the rewrite. I'm sorry but I didn't feel good with the two first tries.

As for the current uploading, I'm working now things are calming down and my weekends are getting easier to write. Week is still out as my body often is too tired to work when things are busy. Next week will be different. Saturday won't be at home so either I'll game or write but Sunday and Monday will be at home. 21st is a holiday in Belgium so we don't have to go to work on Monday. I will tell you that next week however will be really, really, really hot. They're speaking of 40C° so that's above anything I have ever felt in Belgium. During those days, it won't be easy for me to write. I'll try after next weekend.

Since last Sunday, I have been working on a few side jobs and it might be something that I'll tell you gusy about later. Please be patient for the coming weeks. I'll try to have three major updates in summer like I normally do.

Saluut.
