Chapter 9

The Sleepover

I wasn't too sure if staying over with Sam was the best idea but I needed distance and since the only person that knew where he lived wouldn't pop up with letting her know first I figured this was the best place and besides it would be just for tonight. Think he'll sleep naked? Like so in the morning you can see just how hard his morning wood will be?

"Have you eaten?" He asked looking at me with a small smile. Ooh girl he trying to feed us! Yass!

"No, we were supposed to get dinner afterwards but then Pandora's box open and...yeah."

"How about I order some take out and you can tell me everything that happened? Or since we're both dressed I can take you out." He replied gently caressing my cheek. Wait did he just ask you out? Like on a real outside public date?

"You mean like a date?"

"Sure, we can even go to the movies or for a walk, or-" I wasn't exactly sure why I kissed him but in that moment him giving me options instead of assuming was the sweetest thing. Or you just like him and he technically is your man now so…

Oh right… I should probably explain that huh? Whew well after my shower we made out in the kitchen which almost lead to me needing another shower (haha)…

Mini Flashback

"We need to slow down..." Sam said pulling away slightly and looking at me intensely, I nodded because I knew this conversation was going to happen and needed to happen.

"Right, so… who starts?" I said biting my lip and moving away to sit on one of the bar stools.

"Well you had a lot of questions so let me answer a few for you now. No, I've never done this before so you are indeed the first. This may sound very elementary but I like you but I want to get to know you more if this is to become something serious… don't get me wrong the sexual chemistry is above amazing but that's not kind of man I am. However if we pursue this you can not be my student and no more of the games Mercedes, they were cute but I don't do games." He replied and I could tell he meant every word.

"So basically you're saying I'm sexy and you want to be my boyfriend? Man-friend?" Out of all of that that's how you respond? I mean do he though? Cause he fine…

"You are very sexy and I would like to say we are in a relationship yes but we do need to work on getting to know each other outside of the bedroom…" He replied with a smirk.

"Okay well since you invited me come over I'll come back after my dinner with my parents." I said getting up before he pulled me into him kissing me before smacking my ass.

"That I will have fun getting used to on a regular basis." He said walking me out and taking me home… if I had only know the shit was going to hit the fan I would've stayed my ass there.

"Is that a yes?" He asked when I pulled away making me laugh.

"Yes but not tonight… I kinda want to stay in, watch a movie we can play 21 questions!" I replied hoping I didn't just ruin it.

"Sounds good to me. First question… you only get 3 words to describe yourself – what are they?" He asked grabbing a stack of menus and handing them to me. I sat down shifting slight before he realized I was still in my dress and got up leaving before coming back with one of his shirts and pair of sweats. I reached for them but he shook his head with a smirk.

"Answer the question first." He said winking at me.

"Well, smart, sexy and… Sam's" I teased reaching for the clothes but he shook his head again giving me a knowing look. "Fine.. Nerd, diva and blunt."

"Hmm… interesting. Nerd how?" He asked still holding the clothes so I just sigh and unzip my dress and let it slide off because as beautiful as it was, it wasn't meant to be sat in or worn for long periods of time.

"Oh no, you get one question at a time, it's my turn. Would you rather have a home on the beach or in the mountains?"

"Definitely mountains especially during the winters, being holed in for days on end with nothing but a fireplace good, food and someone there to keep you company… doesn't get better than that." He replied with a smile. Damn girl he really fucking cute! I know bitch…

"That does sound amazing, hopefully you'll get it."

"I already have it." He said with a lopsided grin. "It's nothing fancy and I haven't really had time to get up there in a while but when I get time I plan to go."

"Mhm.. maybe I can be your company." I replied smiling before grabbing the clothes out of his hands and putting on the shirt.

"I'd like that. What's the most spontaneous thing you've ever done?"

"This..." I replied honestly before handing him the menu for Thai food.

"Really? Why don't I believe that?" He said with a chuckle. I mean he kinda right!

"Fine… when I was in high school I may have play an innocent prank on the principle that no one ever found out that was me." And no I won't be explaining it either.

"Now I need to know what happened." He said.

"Nope! I will never tell what I may have did… feed me!" Bitch!

"I will say, I do like how comfortable you are around me because most women aren't this demanding during a first date." He said getting up and walking into the other room where he left his phone to grab it and order the food. I mean he has a point because you was half naked for a minute there.

After he ordered the food we played a little longer and I learned a lot about him and his family, he had two siblings that were a little younger than me and his parents were still happily married. He told me about his high school days, friends and I couldn't help asking about crazy ass Marley, it was really cool seeing this side of him because it was more sexier than the teacher side of him.

"What's your hidden talent?" He asked eating some of the food.

"I can show you better than I can tell you." I said winking. Girl I thought y'all was trying not to have sex tonight.. I didn't mean that damn!

I shifted so that I was facing him and leaned in so that my lips were by his ear and I felt him shudder slightly and I couldn't help but giggle before I began singing softly into his ear.

When I finished I kissed his neck gently before moving back to my spot and grabbing some rice before looking at him again.

I gave him a look before standing up and taking the carton from him placing it on the coffee table before nudged it out of the way giving him a sexy look. Oh we performing performing huh? I felt him grow under me and giggled move just enough to turn around and straddle him, I ran my hands up his chest slowly grinding more rhythmically to the song arching my back slightly so my breast brush against him as well. I could tell by his expression I was entering dangerous territory but he asked so how could I not have some fun? Bitch he said sing a little more not seduce him or dry hump him. "What's your hidden talent?" I whispered in his ear biting it softly and moaning when he gripped my hips stopping my movements.

"I'm about to show you." He said picking me up and taking me to his bedroom. And he showed a bitch too… over and over and over again!

When I woke up I was met by a pair of intense green eyes and a stern expression. I moved covering myself so I could sit up and smiled before clearing my throat.

"Morning." Damn your voice hoarse… all that damn screaming you did, surprised you can even talk.

"You didn't tell me what happened yesterday with your family..." He said with a half smile but his face was still stern. I mean good morning to you too, thank you for last night… yes I love breakfast.

"Well you certainly know how to wake a girl up now don't you." I quipped and immediately saw his expression soften and his cheeks turn pink. Oh hell he is to damn fine… jump on it girl.

"I'm sorry, good morning did you sleep okay?" He asked brushing some of my hair out of my face and giving me a soft kiss.

"I did, thank you and as for yesterday… they blew up about us umm dating?" I replied.

"I thought you were going to wait to tell them." He said grabbing me gently and moving me so that I was sitting in front of him, he laid back slightly with my back on his chest then wrapped his arms around me. Girl… I know. I'm going to ruin his ass…

"I was but your dear friend ruined it… she came said some shit and my brother over heard it then right when I told him my parents walked in and I'm like seventy-seven percent sure I cut myself off so… yeah. Oh yeah… they want to meet you well again. My mother is going to eat you alive so it's okay if you want to end it now." I replied hoping like hell he didn't but I understood if he did. I mean you kinda moving a little fast considering everything but like it's your life.

"Okay, when do you want to do it?" He asked calmly. Didn't he just hear what you said? Something not right with this one…

"So no questions just going to walk into the lions den and hope it goes well?"

"If meeting them more personally will put them at ease then yes I don't see any harm in it. I'm not some scared teenager I understand how parents work… I'm a grown man so I will act accordingly." Girl have his damn babies… right?

"So what does that mean for us?" Like bitch y'all dating and shit.

"It means you're going to get dressed and I'm going to take you for breakfast then you're going to go home so you can set up me meeting them. Then I'll call you later and ask you over for dinner and you will say yes." He said kissing me gently on the cheek before moving from behind me. "First though, I'm going to run you a hot bath to soak." He finished walking out of the room leaving me there in my thoughts.

After soaking and eating breakfast at a local diner he brought me back to his place and gave me a tender kiss before I left to face whatever was waiting for me when I got back to my apartment. I knew running wasn't the smartest but turning my phone off was a whole new level of cray because not only did Nicole call ten times but Marcus, Puck and my parents all called leaving a shit ton of voicemails not to mention the damn texts from Nicole.

The last message broke me a little, I didn't have a real issue with them being together it was more so they was about to have sex on my damn couch and I hadn't even had sex on it yer so that was mad rude. I took a deep breath before entering and to my surprise no one was there so I let out the breath and headed towards my room before something caught my eye and I immediately knew what it was… my mother's handwriting. Girl… the last time she wrote you a letter she disowned you for three hours!

I grabbed it and opened it to see just what kind of trouble I was in and how much I needed to grovel to make it better.

I'm disappointed but since you're seeing this man I want to meet him again formally. I expect you and him Sunday for dinner, same time and please do not be late.

I looked for the second note because she always has to have a petty moment and sure enough written at the bottom in small words.

Sunday came a lot faster than I expected and I couldn't help feeling something was about to go horribly wrong but here we were pulling up to my parents house as request twenty minutes early. I was about to throw Sam into the lion's den without even trying to do that, I don't think I'd ever been this nervous. about anything and the sweet smile he gave only helped a little. We walked up the pathway together I grabbed his hand and squeezed it before stopping aburptly and pulling him back from the steps.

"Look, they haven't seen us and we can make a run for it… like I know a place where we can hide until after they think I flaked." I said in a hush toned, Sam gave me a look before laughing and pulling me into him hugging me.

"We're here, let's get this over with, I'm not worried so you don't need to be either. It's just dinner it can't be that bad." He said rubbing my back slowly. Girl… you know damn well your moma about eat his ass up! Get the hell out of there!

"Sam listen my mother is-" I started before the front door opened and my mother came out, for some reason I wiggled out of the embrace and created a small amount of distance between he and I giving my mother a small smile which she didn't return. She wasn't really looking at me to begin with, her eyes were trained on Sam and they were saying a lot of shit.

"Please you two come in we have food waiting." She said sweetly but I knew that tone so well… she was pissed. We about get out asses handed to us and you're literally offering that sweet little sheep to her. Sam nodded with a warm smile and grabbed my hand tugging slightly because I refused to move and pulled me close placing a kiss on my forehead before whispering.

"If you act uncomfortable she will think something is wrong between us." He said placing his finger under her chin so she could look at him. "I'm not easily scared otherwise I wouldn't be here with you now would I?" He asked with a soft laugh that made me feel more at ease. I nodded standing on my toe kissing him before we headed inside. We walked straight into the kitchen where my parents and brother were waiting they all stopped their idle chatting and looked at us both all three giving off three different vibes.

"Well everyone… this is Sam he's my boyfriend." I said looking at him then back at my family. Girl…

"Hey man, I'm Marcus." Oh sweet baby Jesus I love him so much for being awesome!

"Nice to meet you." Sam said shaking his hand firmly and giving him welcoming smile, I notice my brother's face drop and saw my mother's lighten with a smile that she only gave when she was truly happy with herself. I turned to see what was making her smile only to feel my lungs fall out of out of my ass.

"Well I see you're looking just as good as ever, how are you Mercy baby?" Bitch… where the liquor at? Weed? Hell this might be moment to try some a little harder? The other shoe done fell…
