Broken

"Hiiii Gokuuuu!"

The Saiyan's ears perked at the sound of the youthful voice of Bra Briefs, who suddenly appeared out of nowhere, deciding that flopping right on his cross legged lap and interrupting his afternoon meditation was the greatest idea ever. The half Saiyan then looped her left arm around his neck, causing the older Saiyan's eyes to finally open and look at her quizzingly.

If there was one thing the Saiyan Princess liked about Goku was that he was really oblivious when it came to interpreting sexual advances given by females, especially when it came to flirting. If the gesture didn't involve fighting or food, then it pretty much went through one ear and out the other. So of course the ever devious girl totally took advantage of it, sneaking soft touches here and there, always remaining subtle, always making sure to just not get caught touching the husband of Chi-Chi.

Yes at fifteen years old, the Saiyan Princess was a very bad girl.

"What's up?" Goku asked as he stood to his feet, having to then tear the girl off of him.

Bra looked at Goku with puppy dog eyes, giving him the most innocent of looks. "Wellll I was wondering if you could uhmmmm turn Super Saiyan 2 for me!"

Goku placed his hands on his hips, tilting his head to the side. "Why? You've seen me, Vegeta and Gohan do it all the time."

"Because…you look sooooo much cooler than they do!" Bra said as she rocked from side to side, twiddling her fingers together impatiently. Ha more like hot as hell!

Goku rubbed his chin thoughtfully, considering the young girl's request. "Hmmm I don't know Bra…it might just alert the others, making them think that something bad is happening."

The half Saiyan snorted, rolling her aquarium orbs. "Oh come on Goku, they'll just think you're training or something."

"No they won't because everyone knows that Gohan and your father are the only two I would use Super Saiyan 2 on when training."

Bra huffed with annoyance, crossing her arms in a Bulma-like manner. "If they do come, we'll just tell them you were testing a new technique!"

When the Princess noticed Goku wasn't budging she decided to use an underhanded tactic.

"Come onnnnn, if you do, I'll show you how strong I've gotten since the last time I was here!" She said with a competitive smirk.

Upon receiving a similar smirk from the full Saiyan, she mentally patted herself on the back in triumph.

"Alright then, but under one condition."

"Name it."

"You really have to fight me at your best! That means transforming into a Super Saiyan."

Bra's confidence faltered, but nevertheless agreed to his terms anyways. "F-fine!"

Ever since the fight with Broly less than a year ago, she has been scared to transform into a Super Saiyan because she lacked control when she was in that state. When her father asked her to transform during their sparring matches, she always refuses, saying that she didn't remember how too. Bra knew that her father didn't believe her, but she still kept up the lie anyways since he seemed rather reluctant in pushing her like he did on the day she first transformed. But for Goku…it was different with him. She would do anything for him, even if it meant doing something she was terrified of.

"Alrighty then, stand back…really far back. I don't want to hurt you and have Vegeta murder me!"

Bra beamed delightfully. "Okay!" she chirped as she turned, however before heading to a safer distance, she asked one last favor.

"Oh by the way, do you mind transforming shirtless?"

Goku cocked his head sideways at such an odd request, but then shrugged as he removed his shirt, tossing it to the side. Then, only moments later, Goku exploded in a column of yellow and gold, releasing a wild surge of energy that could most certainly be felt miles away.

Bra's aqua orbs bore into the Saiyan's bulging chest hungrily, causing her to whimper softly in pure want. She traced his hard body with her eyes, watching the blue-ish lightening dancing all around his skin, caressing his tone form like she desperately wished she could.

"There! Are you happy now?" Goku hollered as he dimmed his aura just a bit, remaining transformed.

Bra just smirked naughtily, licking her lips. "Very…"

Oh Goku…if only I could actually have you to myself…then I'd really be satisfied.

Bra's eyes fluttered open, her vision fuzzy and unclear. After blinking a few times to shake the sleep from her eyes, she noticed bright sunlight shining through small familiar glassless windows, luminescing the dark circular room. She also found that the bedding she laid on was something she felt before, however those thoughts escaped her mind once she remembered the memory-dream she had. She groaned in embarrassment at her actions as a teenager, now feeling flustered, pondering why the older Saiyan turned her on so much. Man, I really was a bad girl back then…ok that sounded very kinky for some reason ugghhhh!

But that was then, she reasoned. Now her feelings have changed from lust to love, a love so strong that even years later she still struggles with it, and that's just something she didn't want to feel because she felt that she didn't have a right to feel that way. After all it was because of her that Chi-Chi and Goku were no longer happily married, however Bra sometimes wondered why…just why he kissed her in the first place. It's like her mother said, Goku's not the type to do such things and as far as she knew, the Goku from her time never had shown any interest in her. Then again, there is a major difference right? In her timeline, Goku saw her grow up from an infant to a spoiled brat child and then a spoiled brat teenager. By the time she had reached adulthood, the older Saiyan had long since viewed her as a grand-daughter despite the fact she never saw him as a grandfather. Fortunately, about three years before Buu, her feelings towards him had begun to wind down, but she knew deep down that she would never actually be over him. She tried, she really did by going on regular dates with 'normal' guys but dear god they were all just so damn boring! They were nothing like the Saiyan and maybe that's her problem since Goku was…well he was one of a kind. And after that kiss… everything came back…

The sex didn't help either.

"Bra?"

The familiar voice jerked the female Saiyan from her musings and upon realizing just who uttered her name the memories of the day's events came bombarding back, nearly drowning her. As her eyes landed on the Saiyan, her body stiffened.

"Goku…y-you're okay…" she whispered as she nearly threw herself at him however she didn't when she saw that he had a sling strapped over his left shoulder, suspending his limp right arm. "Your arm! What happened?! And where are we?"

The older Saiyan grimaced, his eyes averting from the younger Saiyan. "That big guy with the mohawk happened. He tried to hurt you, but it seemed to me that he was trying to hurt me. So I took the attack. And too your other question we're at The Lookout."

Bra was going to chasten him for his thoughtlessness but kept her jaw shut when she realized she did the same seconds before she passed out. That's when she gasped, remembering the injury she received in her attempt sacrifice In order to protect the very Saiyan before her.

"My arm?! How'd it get fixed!? I was sure it was broken!" She asked, testing her arm, both confused and stunned.

Goku laughed nervously as he rubbed the back of his head. " Ehh yeah about that heh after my little fight with the huge guy, I took you to Korin's first before coming here since I wanted to ask for a Senzu Bean…well actually I asked for two but he said there was only one, that he gave us the rest for the Android fight earlier on. Sooooo-"

The female Saiyan rolled her eyes. "You gave me the whole freaking bean instead of splitting it in half!" She shouted, slapping the back of Goku's head, making him cringe.

The Saiyan laughed once more. "Oops! It didn't cross my mind at the time!" Goku said, waving his hands in defense. "But your injury was worse than mine! You were bleeding non-stop and if you weren't a half Saiyan I'm sure you'd be dead long ago! I didn't want to chance it…you mean too much to not only me but the rest of the others. Besides, least I got a sling for my arm!" He said, as an attempt to lighten the mood but no such luck.

Bra's heart nearly dropped to her stomach for some reason but she pushed it aside. "Maybe it would have been better off without me. After all, they need you more than me."

Goku's eyes widened. "Hey now, don't say that! We're a team here! We're gonna need all the help we could get and you being here brings the odds up to our favor."

"Yeah right, you didn't see how we got our asses handed to us back at Gero's base."

"That bad huh?"

Bra nodded. "Yeah, in fact this was actually the second time my arm has been broken."

Goku said nothing as he removed himself from the bedside and walked to one of the four windows in the room. His eyes narrowed before shooting upwards.

"Wow… do you feel that? It's Piccolo! He sure has gotten stronger! But how?"

Bra nodded, even though the full Saiyan wasn't facing her at the moment. "He merged back with Kami."

"Really?! That's awesome!" Goku cried out ecstatically. "I didn't know them merging would increase their power this much! I'm sure he's the strongest of us now!"

The older Saiyan's expression then fell. "However, now since they merged there is no Kami and no Kami means no Dragon Balls."

Bra smiled knowingly. "I wouldn't say that."

Goku raised his brows, turning away from the window and faced Bra. "Huh? And why's that?"

"If we could get one of the Namek's from their new planet to come to Earth, they could become the new guardian, thus restoring the Dragon Balls…that is if the events during your fight with Frieza happened the same way they did in my timeline. They did right?" She asked anxiously.

Goku stroked his chin. "Hmm I'm sure it did since it seems like yours and Trunks' timeline are the same up until the moment you and him appear here…least that's what Gohan tells me."

Bra smiled warmly at the Saiyan's lack of understanding, finding it endearing for some reason. God I'm hopeless! "Well if that's true, then you might be able to convince the Namekian elder, Moori, to let Dende come here and become the new Guardian since that's what happened in my timeline."

Goku nodded enthusiastically. "Aww that's great! We'll get to that later, but first you need to really tell me what has happened so I could figure our next move!"

As Bra began to speak, Goku raised a hand, causing her to halt. "Wait, forget it, there's another faster way."

Bra's face scrunched up in confusion as the Saiyan strode towards her and while standing in front of her, placed his working hand on top of her head

"Goku? What are you doing?"

"Just relax, I'm gonna read your mind so I'll know what you know." He replied, shutting his eyes as he began to concentrate and focus on extracting information.

Wait what? Read my mind!?

Bra, in a moment of panic slapped the hero's hand away from her, making him flinch back in bafflement. "I don't want you in my mind! That's like, an invasion of privacy ya know!" She squealed.

Goku shuddered, swearing that the young Saiyan sounded like her mother for just a second there. "Hey now! Calm down! I'm just looking into the events that I missed! I'm not gonna look into your personal memories!"

Bra narrowed her aqua orbs. "But…if you wanted to, you could right?"

"Well I supposed I could if I-"

"Ugh why did you just tell me that!"

"Because you asked!"

"Well sheesh you could have, you know, lied! All you're doing is making me feel less safe."

Goku sighed, slowing becoming irritated…which was weird since that was just something that didn't happen to him often. "Look you're gonna have to just trust me on this. Would you trust the me of your timeline to read your mind?"

Bra scoffed, feeling the question asked was stupid. "Uhhh no! I'd trust no one with that, you idiot! This is my memories we are talking about! Why can't I just tell you normally!?"

"Because Piccolo is fighting down there right now with those Androids, which I'm assuming are the ones I saw before coming up here seeing as how I couldn't sense their energy signatures. So I need to know as quickly as possible so we could help him somehow!"

Bra's fear left her, guilt assaulting her as she finally realized how ridiculous she was being. Of course he wouldn't look at my personal memories! This is Goku we're talking about!

"I'm…I'm sorry Goku. Go ahead, I do trust you." She said, with a sincere smile that lit her eyes, causing the older Saiyan's stomach to churn pleasantly.

Goku returned the smile, placing his hand back to the top of the messy sea-green hair of the half Saiyan, shutting his eyes.

Then the images shot forwards, like a shooting star, Bra's mind temporarily fusing with his own. First came the memories of after he was taken from the battle, when the deadly virus that ended his life in Trunks' timeline made its awful presence known. While merged, he was seeing and 'hearing' everything from Bra's point of view, so if the female Saiyan wasn't there for a particular event then he of course wasn't either. First he saw Vegeta as a Super Saiyan (He wasn't surprised by this since he already expected for him to transform sooner or later). Next, the fight with the big grey Android, Fourteen, ending with Bra slicing right through him. Next he saw Android Fifteen, now a heap scrap of metal, near a not so worried Android Twenty and wondered who destroyed him. (Piccolo maybe?) After that, the images of the return of Trunks and his aid along with Piccolo in destroying what looked like Android Nineteen, Bra being the one to deliver the final blow. Next came Vegeta's over kill with Android Thirteen (He rolled his eyes mentally, once again not surprised) and so on from the moment that Android Twenty was revealed to be Dr. Gero, to the sights of the doctor's brain matter (Eww!) , marking his death which was caused by his creations, two other Androids, Seventeen and Eighteen. The Android's then activated another, this one named Sixteen (Heyyy that's the one that broke my arm!). The next set of images marked the approaching end of the memory extraction, starting with an odd creature nearly ending Trunks' life, Bra becoming enraged and then knocked unconscious, Bra returning to consciousness and watching Gohan almost over do it with a brief but radical transformation (He winced at this, though he did feel a sense of pride towards his son. I knew Gohan had a lot of potential!). Finally, the last part, being the most recent, Bra's reckless heroic actions of almost throwing her life away for his, answering the question of how her arm had gotten broken in the first place.

Goku's eyes snapped open, now finished, only for them to land on a pair of beautiful aqua ones, causing him to fall into a trance.

"Alright…done." He murmured, sliding his hand from Bra's head down to her right cheek, caressing it gently.

Bra peered at Goku while unconsciously pressing against his hand, feeling her eyes nearly drift shut at the pleasurable act of affection he was showing her. "So…it really worked?"

Upon hearing her voice, he realized what he was doing and yanked his hand away, much to the love struck woman's dismay.

"Yeah…if taking an attack meant for me was a real memory, then it definitely did." The Saiyan practically sneered that out, which not only shocked the young Saiyan, but also himself. Whoa! That was weird.

Goku watched as Bra's expression twisted from astonishment to guilt and then finally to annoyance.

"Seriously? That should be the least of your concerns out of everything you just learned." She deadpanned. "I'm still alive after all and also your arm says hi."

Now it was Goku's turn to feel guilty. "Okay you're right. I don't know what got into me…" He said, looking down in shame.

Bra just gave a small forgiving smile, putting her hand on his shoulder. "It's okay…"

She then slid closer to the Saiyan, raised a hand and placed it on his right cheek, just as he did to her moments before, stroking it lovingly. "Goku…" She whispered, her eye lids lowering, slowly entrancing the hero.

"Yeah…"

"Why do I feel like this…this way about you?" She said, her skin flushed, heart thumping faster and faster with every second she spent face to face with the spiky haired Saiyan.

Goku sealed the gap, pressing his forehead to hers. A chuckle then escaped his lips, the air slightly tickling her skin. "I've been asking myself that everyday…" He paused. "Princess…"

"Damn…" She husked breathlessly, her voice dripping with sex. She really couldn't help but growl, both out of arousal and frustration.

Yet again, he pulled away, sighing when he realized the path they were heading but not before grasping the hand on his cheek, interlacing their hands together, the two matching perfectly.

"Maybe that's my fault." He said bitterly.

Bra's hand squeezed his. "No! Why would you say that! I've always, I never told you that I've-"

Goku turned away from her, cutting her off, though his hand still remained secured with hers. "But it was! It was me that kissed you three years ago because you looked so…so." He didn't finish, still refusing to face her.

"Did you… did you ever have feelings for my mother?" She asked timidly, her voice quivering from fear, fear that his answer would forever break her heart.

This threw the older Saiyan of guard. "Huh what?"

Now it was the female Saiyan's turn to look away, the bluish-green tresses splashing across her cheeks, hiding her features. "Because maybe…maybe that's why you feel the way you do about me, I mean I know I look like her a lot and, I don't know, I mean you did travel with her and stuff when you were both younger so I wouldn't-"

Goku's sudden fits of laughter caused Bra to jump in surprise, her eyebrows receding under her bangs. She stared at him in disbelief as he slapped his knees, continuing to laugh like an insane man. Then her face reddened. "Just what the hell's so funny!?"

Goku kept laughing, but somehow he was able to answer her while doing so. "Be-because! You said-you asked if I ever had feelings for Bulma! That-that's like asking me if Master Roshi was a pervert!"

Bra turned even redder, if that was even possible, as Goku just laughed and laughed until finally his giggle fits faded down to tiny ones.

"I'm-I'm sorry! It's just that, no! I've never felt that way about your mom! Sure she's very pretty, don't get me wrong, it's just that I don't see her that way and never have. She is and always will be my best friend alongside Krillin because I grew up with them." Then Bra was met with Goku's solemn expression, making her breath hitch.

"Bra…you look like her, but you're not her and I can see a little of Vegeta in you also but that's normal since, ya know, they are you're parent's. But I don't think of Bulma when I look at you and most definitely don't think of Vegeta." He stuck out his tongue shortly after mentioning the Prince's name, making the Princess giggle like a schoolgirl. It was moments like these that she was able to release a part of her that she bottled-up years ago in order to harden her mind into that of a fighter's, to become a true Saiyan Princess just as her father wanted her too.

"So then why did you kiss me?"

This instantly killed the lighthearted moment.

Goku sighed and ran his left hand through his hair tiredly, not being used to thinking so much in one day. "I gotta tell ya Bra, that night that we when out and sparred…when you first transformed I was amazed since I never thought I'd ever see a girl Super Saiyan in my life. Then as I looked at you, I felt odd, like something was telling me that you were it."

Bra jerked her head confusingly. "I was it?" What does that even mean?

Goku sighed again. "Look, if you really know me Bra then you know I'm not good with words, like at all! I've been told that I have my moments, whatever that means, but yeah something was telling me you were it, the person I've been waiting for."

Bra's heart skipped a beat, her hand flinging to her chest in an attempt to slow the rapid pulsing organ. "What are you trying to-"

"And at the time, I either didn't understand or didn't want to…I'm leaning towards the last one."

Bra said nothing this time, her eyes glistening with anticipation, content with just listening on what the full Saiyan wanted to say, to let him finally answer the questions she has wanted the answers to for over three years.

"Your mother once asked me something years ago and well I never put much thought to it until the past three years. She asked me if I loved Chi-Chi and of course I said yeah, I do, just like I love all of you. She then told me that being in love with someone isn't the same as loving someone; that the love I have for Chi-Chi shouldn't be the same as the love I have for all of my friends. Well that's just it; I didn't understand what she meant until that very day we sparred, Bra. I didn't want to believe it but…"

Bra gasped, her hand releasing her chest, only to come flying to her lips, covering it in alarm as she refused to believe what she was seeing.

Goku was crying. She has never, in all the years she has known him, seen the gentle Saiyan cry and she decided then and there that she never wanted to be a witness to it again. Never…

As the tears cascaded from his eyes down his cheeks, Goku went on. "I didn't…I didn't love her like I should have…like a husband should love his wife. And that's…that's what kills me, because I began to see it you know, see that she felt or maybe still feels that way about me and I can't even return it! Why can't I?! Why?! WHY?!" As he continuously asked why over and over again, his voice increased in volume with each one and if it wasn't for Bra clinging onto his left arm, burying herself on the side of his chest, Goku surely would have exploded a good portion of The Lookout, if not the whole thing.

What have I done to you Goku… Bra thought in despair. I broke him… she answered her own question as her tears began to leak, staining the older Saiyan's orange gi-shirt.

As Goku slipped his arm out of Bra's grasps and wrapped it around her waist, pulling her closer, their tails' wriggled in distress, also looking for some kind of comfort, something to hold on. That's when they found each other, a clash of aqua blue and dark brown intertwining to form one.

If Goku returning my feelings basically breaks his heart, then I rather him not return them at all…

As if hearing her thoughts, Goku hugged her tighter.

A/N: Just an emotional chapter here. Next one (when ever that will be...it might be a long while...seriously this time...maybe lol) will have action. I've had this one done for a while, I just had it on the side and made little edits here and there.

Also for those who read my short story, "She's So Devious"...the beginning part to this chapter is where that horrid short story spawned from. So that's why it's very similar.

Anyways til next time!
