A/N: Hmmm... *In deep thought*

The tension was thick, the full Saiyan and his ex-wife staring at one another in hopes that the other would break the silence. Seeing that Chi-Chi wasn't going to say anything, he attempted to speak, however, all he managed to do was flap his lips like a fish out of water, realizing much too late that he had come unprepared.

"I'm sorry…" Goku blurted.

Chi-Chi blinked and gave him a look.

"Okay…"

She then stood and returned her attention to the shattered plate on the floor, using the broom and dustpan to make quick work of the mess. Once all the glass was collected, she briskly made her way to the kitchen and to the trashcan. Flipping the lid open by stepping on the lever, she dumped the ruined plate inside, letting the lever go.

Goku looked at her in disbelief as he watched her walk right past him, heading into the living room. She sat on the couch, picked up the remote control nearby and used it to turn on the TV.

"Why aren't you saying anything?" He asked, wringing his hands together anxiously.

Her silent treatment was making him sweat nervously, scaring him shitless as his ex-wife was anything but quiet. He was used to being yelled or ducking down, with his hands over his head as a means to escape the random items she would throw at him in fits of rage. As he eyeballed Chi-Chi and analyzed her blank expression, he couldn't help but think that he'd rather be facing the Bio-Android than be in her presence. Hell, he'd rather take on Frieza and Cell simultaneously, scratch that, more like every villain he has ever encountered-

"You know…you can leave…"

Goku was taken aback. "What?"

Surprise Attack

A few seconds passed before she responded, her eyes never leaving the TV screen. "You apologized right? I accept it and now you can leave."

"It can't be that easy…"

"It is."

"What do you mean? That's…it just can't."

Chi-Chi sighed, quickly counted to ten and then turned off the TV. "It is that easy. I'm honestly surprised that you haven't left."

Goku frowned. "No, it never is that easy. This isn't like you at all. You normally-"

Chi-Chi gave a terse laugh, one laced with bitterness. "Yell? Scream? Throw things at you? You know, it's funny that you say that because Gohan reacted the same way when I didn't take his head off upon seeing that his hair was blonde."

"I…"

"You both don't think I can't change, is that it?"

"Chi-"

"Well, I can…and I have."

Goku winced when he saw tears begin to fill her dark orbs, the walls that had encased her heart for years coming tumbling down. He took a step forward, his hand reaching out to her, only to have her shake her head and step back.

"Goku…I'm sorry."

"Chi-Chi I-wait…you're sorry? Why? What in the world do you have to be sorry about? I'm the one who-"

"It was because I tricked you wasn't it?"

"Tricked me? You didn't-"

"But I did. I lied to you and said that marriage was food. I might have been young, but I knew that you were clueless and I-I took advantage of that. Goku…I was raised to be a princess and was always told by daddy when I was little that I'd meet my 'knight in shining armor' one day. And when I saw you and all the things you could do, I thought that you were him. The knight that would come for me, take me away and make all my dreams come true."

Chi-Chi choked back a sob. "But I was wrong. You were clueless then and even when we were reunited at the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament, you were still the same. In fact, you never did change. But I did. I gave up fighting and the crown so I could be with you."

"So you're saying I wasted your time…"

Chi-Chi frowned and crossed her arms. "No, I still love you and if I had never been with you, Gohan wouldn't be here. So I never regret us." With a heavy tired sigh, she sat up and walked towards the window and gazed at the evening sun. "I just regret having not explained to you what it meant to be married."

She whirled around. "You do understand now, right? Do you understand the difference between loving friends and loving a wife?"

Goku made a face. "People don't give me enough credit. Yeah, I do…but I only figured it out when I talked to Bra-" he paused and mentally cursed. After all, mentioning her name couldn't end well.

Chi-Chi tilted her head. "Hmm…I thought her name was Bulla…"

"Bulla…Oh! You were never around when she revealed who she really was. Her real name is Bra and she is the daughter of Bulma and Vegeta. So yeah, both she and Trunks had come from the future with warnings. But her situation is uhh a little more complicated."

"Bulma's daughter huh…" Chi-Chi huffed, silently fuming. Should have known she had lied. I mean it was kind of obvious. "So tell me Goku…why her?"

The full Saiyan gave her a thoughtful look. "You know…I've been trying to figure that out for a while…"

His ex-wife's jaw dropped. "You don't know why?! It can't be her looks, right? It's so unlike you to fall for physical attraction!"

Goku gave a sheepish smile. "No, that's not it. Yeah sure she's pretty, but so are you!"

Chi-Chi tried not to blush but failed horribly. At least she kept her frown.

Goku's smile faltered. "You know…It was weird…I felt fine during our warm up session that night."

Her eyes widened when she saw Goku's orbs glaze over, a dreamy smile like no other appearing on his face. "But when she transformed into a Super Saiyan, everything changed. It was amazing…not her appearance but the feelings she had stirred within me. I remembered everything slowing down and that my body started to tingle; I then felt lightheaded. My heart was already beating fast do to our fight, but somehow it felt…I dunno calmer? Warm? Anyways my stomach then fl-"

Chi-Chi sniffled. "Love at first sight."

"Huh?"

She sighed sadly. "Everything you're describing is similar to how I felt when I first met you." She laughed weakly. "Goku…I've never known you to speak in such a way before. You really have changed haven't you?"

"Well, I have been thinking a lot more these days."

A bit of her old persona decided to rear its ugly head in. "That's a shocker…"

Goku's eyes narrowed. "You know, I'm not as stupid as most think. I never really thought about it beforehand, but I started to notice how everyone thinks I'm as dumb as a rock."

Chi-Chi jerked her head back at the sharpness in his voice. "Goku…I'm sorry…just old habits are hard to break…"

"Bra wouldn't say that. Though she hasn't told me directly, her eyes say it all. But you and everyone else think that I'm a mindless brute." The Saiyan's eyes drooped down. "Heh, you even got Gohan to start believing that."

Chi-Chi bit her lip, her eyes staring at the floor with shame. "I guess I hadn't thought of the things I said to you around Gohan. It's just that you could be so…frustrating at times."

The Super Saiyan's expression softened. "I know…I'm not exactly easy to deal with."

"Well, at least you have always been good with Gohan and that means the world to me." She said, a tiny smiling gracing her lips, which her ex-husband returned. "I do have a question about that night. Who kissed who first?"

Goku hesitated for a moment, as he could see just how hopeful she looked. "I did… and before you ask why I just did it out of impulse. It was a heat of the moment kind of thing…I had uh landed on top of her at the end of our spar."

"Did you ever even love me?" she already knew the answer.

"Only as a friend…" he admitted. "And that won't change, but I'll be here when you and Gohan need me. I'm done running." He added, smiling.

Chi-Chi didn't return the smile. She pushed back the need to cry, as she had shed enough tears for the Saiyan. "So you really love her right?"

"I only released that as of recently. But yeah…I do."

He smiled because well he just couldn't help it! It's not every day that one realizes that they are in love with someone; for Goku this was huge, as he's not one who easily communicates such feelings. Emotions such as anger, sadness, fear and especially happiness were a typical for him, the last being the one he was most known for. However as of late, he was anything but happy. He has been feeling miserable and self-loathing ever since he ruined his marriage to Chi-Chi. The situation with Gohan in the Time Chamber all but obliterated the remains of his old persona.

Chi-Chi couldn't begin to describe the heartache she felt upon hearing Goku's confession.

Just as Goku's smile came, it went when the dilemma with the Saiyan Princess came to mind with a vengeance. Man, I really hope I could fix this...if she would just listen…

After having a brief internal battle with himself, he was able to regain focus on the present matter. He braced himself for what he was going to say next. "Are you sure that it wasn't the idea of me that you loved?"

Chi-Chi eyes rounded in shock at such a question.

"Let's face it, it's as you said, I'm nothing like you'd thought I'd be once you married me right? We have nothing in common when you think about it. The one thing we did, which was fighting, you gave it up after we got married."

"But couples don't have to have-"

Goku cut her off, his emotions exploding like it did in the Time Chamber with Gohan. "You know what the problem is? You've always wanted to change me into someone I'm not. 'Goku get a job!'" He gave a short snicker. "Do you know how insane that would drive me? I can't stay still and take orders from others for a long period of time. Before getting married to you, I lived in the outdoors and honestly, it didn't bother me one bit. Actually, I preferred it. You want I provide food for you and Gohan? Easy, I'll just go out and catch fish, dinosaur meat, any sorts of fruits and vegetables! But no, you want things done your way! Am I right?"

Needless to say, his former wife could only stare at him incredulity. "I-I-" She took a deep breath in and let it out to maintain even a grain of control. "If you had felt that way, why didn't you just tell me? The way you say 'you know what the problem is', makes it sound too general. From the looks of it, it seems like you are insinuating that it was entirely my fault."

"Insinuating?"

"Implying Goku."

"Why didn't you just say that instead of that insinu-whatever word? You did it deli-deli- deliberately! Ah ha! See I could use big words too!"

"Oh wow, that's amazing!" Chi-Chi said, clapping mockingly. "I did not say 'insinuating' to throw you off! That's just how people speak, when you know, they have an education!"

The black haired woman hand flew to her mouth. Her ex-husband did not react in the manner he did earlier on, however. No, instead he wore a look of anger, his fists clutching so tightly that they turned white. For a moment there, Chi-Chi thought that he was going to attack her.

He snorted. "I think I've proven my point…I guess we're done here. From here on out, I'll only be here to visit Gohan. And you know what? Maybe it was your fault. Because heh, you tricked me right?"

As Goku put two fingers on his forehead, Chi-Chi cried out apologies, pleading for him to wait, but Goku wasn't having it because well he had nothing else to say. "Goodbye, maybe we can talk again when you learn how to stop insulting me."

Upon vanishing, Chi-Chi collapsed to the floor, breaking into tears as she truly wanted to work things out between them, even if they simply stayed as friends. But as always, she lost her composure and lashed out at him.

That's how the Ox-King found her; on the floor, whimpering and crying hysterically, feeling like the worse person in the world.

Gulp-Gulp-Gulp-THUD

"Hey…give me another."

The bartender studied her, his wide eyes staring at the long pigtailed haired girl in amazement. "Little lady, are you sure? That's your seventh one."

"So…"

The soul burning glare that she was giving him almost made him wet his pants. "We-well I just don't want you getting sick is all. You must be quite a heavy drinking to hold all that liquor! That's the strongest vodka we've got!"

Bra's lips twitched, barely holding back a lazy grin. "I'm not. I usually drink socially."

If possible, he now looked even more awestruck than before. "H-how are you not unconscious yet!"

"It's in the genes, now refill please."

The bartender shrugged, grabbed the glass and walked off to do his job, muttering about 'not caring' and 'that he was getting paid anyways.' Besides, he has the hospital on speed dial.

Her aqua orbs started to droop like curtains after downing the eighth glass, finally beginning to feel tipsy. She hadn't lied to the bartender. She really wasn't a drinker. The shit was disgusting quite frankly and she was only torturing herself just so she could forget her problems for a while.

"St-stupid G-Goku…" she murmured as she rose from her seat, her smile broadening when she swayed onto her feet, satisfied that she could barely stand. She pulled out a wad of bills from her jacket's pocket and slapped it on the table. The bartender hollered if she wanted him to call a cab to take her home, but she waved her hand in dismissal, continuing to sway unevenly until she reached the door.

All hell broke loose when she took her first step outside, having to dive to the side to avoid the incoming car, which had recklessly smashed right through the bar's doors, utterly demolishing it and a good portion of the insides.

"What the hell?!" Bra heard the bartender bark out, his chubby face steaming with rage as he stomped his way towards the car that had ruined his bar, proceeding to yank open the door. He squealed in surprise, stumbling back when he saw the male driver lifelessly pressed against the airbag, the back of his head soaked with oozing blood.

The bartender cautiously walked towards the car and bravely investigated the scene. The first thing that stood out was the bullet-like hole on the headrest of the driver's seat. He craned his neck to the left to see a second hole neatly carved through the back window.

"Keh-Keh-Keh!"

That was the last thing the poor bartender heard because as he turned towards the source of the giggling, a yellow energy blast came soaring at the car, the vehicle exploding upon impact, incinerating the man to ashes.

Then the screaming started, innocent civilians running for their lives as multiple blasts of energy hailed on them, appearing seemingly out of nowhere. As Buildings and more vehicles exploded, Bra's dilated eyes scanned the area, desperately trying to locate who was causing all the chaos.

"Whoa…either I'm stupid wasted or there are mini-Cells attacking the city…" Bra slurred out, woozily standing up. She would have fallen again if it wasn't for a pair of slender arms catching her fall.

"You aren't seeing things." A firm familiar voice spoke.

"E-Eighteen?"

Just as the Saiyan Princess swirled around, she only caught a glimpse of long brunette hair as she was harshly thrown aside, Bra preventing her fall by grabbing hold of a stop sign pole.

Eighteen screeched to a halt mid-air, her arms crossed, having successfully blocked the attack. Her jaded eyes enlarged as a small boot struck her spine, sending her slamming onto the pavement with a sickening thud. Within moments, the Android was on her feet, fighting with everything she had against one of the white mini-Cells, the creature giggling each time one of his strikes scored a hit.

"Gah! These things are strong!" Eighteen warned, barely evading the mini Android's attack as she took off into the air so that she get more distance from it.

Given that Eighteen was stronger than her own max power, she knew she had no chance against them at all if the brunette was struggling with merely one of them. From where she was, she could count three of them, but from the constant giggling throughout the city, there was most likely more lurking around.

"But I have to try! But first-"

With a war cry Bra's aura burst into gold, the little red bands that held her pigtails disintegrating into nothing. She balled her fists up tightly, forcing herself to power up to the max. Once she had reached her maximum, she smirked as she had successfully burned off all the alcohol in her system, feeling completely sober now.

One little beast decided that the half-Saiyan was being neglected, so it decided to bring her into the chaos it and its brothers were causing by aiming a fist at her face. Bra raised her hand and caught the fist before the blow could land, however, she didn't expect the mini Cell's strike to pack such a punch, the half-Saiyan pulling her hand back and shaking it rapidly while swearing like a sailor. Smiling brightly and giggling with amusement, the mini-Cell continued by taking advantage of the half-Saiyan's dropped guard by giving her a blow to the side of her head. Bra's head throbbed as the little creature then struck her forehead, making her head snap back painfully. It followed up with a kick to her stomach, leaving her breathless as she doubled over forward and nearly buckled down onto her knees.

The half-Saiyan immediately saw the mini-Cell's next attack and somehow managed to evade it by drifting to the left, a low wheezing sound slipping from her lips from the earlier blow. With its back now turned, the Saiyan Princess whirled around and gave it a backhanded fist to its head, which sent it rocketing to the right. It easily stopped its momentum, turned and hurled a beam of yellow energy at her, Bra having to brace herself with her arms crossed. She cried out when the mini-Cell's beam connected with her, the attack scorching through the arms of her jacket and scaling her white skin. Using the after-image technique, the half-Saiyan was suddenly behind it, aiming to give it a double handed slam, however, it wasn't meant to be as it turned and caught her hands within its two small fists and gripped them tightly. It pushed her hands aside and tucked its hands to its hip in a familiar stance.

Turquoise orbs widened as the pint-sized Cell fired off a Kamehameha wave directly to her chest, causing her face to twist in pain as she soared across the sky, a trail of smoke left behind. The evil creature giggled manically, a ball of yellow ki forming within its palms as it prepared to eliminate its foe. Bra crashed against the concrete, her back curving upwards from the extreme pain.

"Destructo Disc!"

A yellow circular disc came buzzing through the air, aiming to make away with the creature by slicing it in half, but at the last moment the spawn of Cell flipped over it, turned while in mid-air and released the blast that was meant for Bra at Eighteen; she narrowly escaped its attack by drifting to her left. The brunette then was stunned to see her disc ripping towards her at such speeds that she had no time to evade it, but before it could cut her right into two, a ki blast vaporized the deadly disc. Eighteen looked at Bra, who had her hand extended, indicating that she had been her rescuer.

The Android flew to her ally and landed next to her, Eighteen's eyes glaring at the small Cell that had ricocheted her own disc at her. To the side of it was the Cell that Bra had been battling, the little beast giggling while wearing an evil grin that caused goosebumps to break onto her skin. A soft tap from behind caused her to whip around and look past the Saiyan Princess, who was using her elbows as leverage to stay leveled, to see a third ivory pint-sized Cell creeping towards their direction, its tongue sticking out tauntingly.

"We're gonna die aren't we?" Bra said, now back to back with the brunette Android.

Two more sets of taps were heard.

"I think so."

Gohan's yellow brows rose when he felt his father's ki before his form materialized into view.

"Dad how did it…go…" His voice faltered when he took note of his dad's grim appearance.

Goku tense look dropped, the full Saiyan failing to give a genuine smile. He walked towards his son and placed his hand on his shoulder. "It went fine…"

Gohan frowned. "Don't give me that…"

Goku sighed in defeat.

"Listen…your mother was being difficult and we got into an argument. I'll give it another shot some other time, probably after this whole Cell thing is dealt with."

"Oh…okay…" Gohan said, seeming to accept that that was an appropriate response.

Gohan's stomach knotted when he saw his father attempt to smile again, the expression looking so out of place that he briefly couldn't recognize him.

In came Dende and Mr. Popo, the former holding a medium-sized orb with a small model of the eternal dragon Shenron inside. He placed the crystal ball on the tiled floor, smiling brightly.

"It took a while, but I can now alter the dragon's wishing abilities…to an extent of course." Dende said, proud of his accomplishment.

"Alright!" Krillin exclaimed, Trunks, Gohan, Yamcha and Chiaotzu looking equally as excited.

"Dende, do you think you can make it so one wish could bring back more than one person to life? Because when this is all over, we want to be able to wish back all those killed by Cell." Piccolo asked.

Dende gave a pensive look. "Umm..."

"Oh! And can you make it so we can have three wishes just like on Namek?" Krillin added.

"I think I can, however because this dragon doesn't have as much power as Porunga, I may have to reduce the wish count to two if you want to bring back a large mass of people. But you would still have three wishes if you don't bring back more than one person."

"What about those that have died before?" All eyes turned to the full-Saiyan. "Remember, Shenron can only bring back those who have died just once. Can you change that?"

"That…that might be some trouble as this dragon has no knowledge of that. I'll get back to you once I have programmed the other two requests."

"Just do your best." Goku said.

"I will."

The Saiyan suddenly yelped, a huge shock of electricity surging through his yellow tail, causing it to uncurl from his waist and twitch in distress. Shortly after he, along with all the others, felt a sharp energy spike come from Bra; it then plummeted and winked out.

"No!"

Goku's turquoise orbs became wild and then he was gone, leaving a discharge of blue bio-electricity trailing where he once stood.

A/N: You know, when I was writing this chapter, I was like "What the hell am I doing" ^_^; That whole scene with Chi-Chi and Goku did NOT go as I had thought it would. I didn't mean for her to be such a...well bitch. I feel bad because I had said way back that I wouldn't make her as such but oh wells. This will change, but not in this saga most likely; she'll mellow out and get over it. =P

Next, we have the part with the Cell Juniors. I know a bit early huh. I just wanted to show just how..much more evil this Cell is. I know he has shown his evilness many times, but this is unacceptable! I mean sheesh, didn't even give them much of a break after beating Trunks and Vegeta! How dare he! =(

The last scene was me playing with the dragon's wishing abilities, which are a little different than canon.

Overall, you be the judge. This personally wasn't what I thought it'd be like, but I'm very sure it's because the Super Ultra Mega Ultimate Writer Blocks has made its vengeful return. I want to give ya'll better chapters, cause this won't do. Most definitely not the worse chapter though...(glares at chapter 6)

Thanks for reading!

Until next time!
