Chapter 15: Unexpected
After Ichigo took care of the Reigai, he and the girls all left the area to rendezvous with anyone else still on their side in stopping Kageroza. Thanks to what they learned from the fake Hisagi before Ichigo destroyed it, They at least had an idea of where Kageroza would be. After moving for a good few minutes across the rooftops, Orihime on Ichigo's back the whole time, they ran into a few more familiar allies.
"Renji! Chad! Uryu!" Ichigo yelled out to get their attention.
The three looked up from their position and saw to their surprise and relief, Ichigo and the girls landing next to them. After explaining where Ichigo's been the entire time, Renji brought them up to speed on everything.
"From what Kisuke's been able to find out, Kageroza needs Nozomi alive in order to merge with her."
"Merge with her?" Ichigo asked as he placed Orihime down. "What do you mean by that, Renji?"
"Kisuke said something about the both of them being two parts of one body and if they merge, the one they become will be nearly unstoppable." Renji finished up.
"The only thing is we don't know where the two of them are." Uryu spoke up next.
Yoruichi crossed her arms under her chest. "Fortunately, we do."
The three looked to her before looking back towards Ichigo for answers. "There's a lab deep underground near squad 5. That's where Kageroza makes his reigai and most likely where Nozomi will be." He turned to Yoruichi. "Can you find anyone still able to fight and get them ready to move. Kageroza won't be expecting us to find this lab, and we need to keep it that way."
Yoruichi smirked. "You got it Ichigo." She turned to leave only to be grabbed by the waist and turned around into a searing kiss. she returned it with gusto. While the guys were a bit uncomfortable with this situation, the girls swooned a bit.
Ichigo let her go much to her dismay as he smiled towards her. "Be careful out there." He let her go as she stumbled back a bit before nodding dumbly and using shunpo to get the others.
"What was that all about?" Renji asked as he watched the whole interaction.
"Just wishing one my girls good luck." The orange haired teen answered as he turned back towards his friend with a smirk. "She'll go and rally the others for a distraction."
Uryu was surprised by that. "So that we can go and stopped Kageroza at his most vulnerable." Ichigo nodded to him as the Quincy of course figured it out quickly. "That's a pretty smart plan Ichigo. Who would've thought you could make any."
Ichigo huffed for a moment, but before he could retort, a large explosion rocked the entire Seireitei. The group looked towards the source and saw the reasoning behind it. A massive fireball shot up from whatever it was that created said explosion. It looked to be close towards the Sokyoku hill along with a faint pillar of fire not too far off.
"Well damn." Ichigo spoke up as he watched it all with his friends and his girls. "Seems like a party is starting, so lets go and crash it."
The others nodded and took off once more to confront Kageroza.

A small update for now. The next chapter will have the fight between the group and Kageroza. This story is nearing its conclusion as I have a few more things I want to take care of before the end.
