A/N: Whoops... ^_^;

Sliding through articles of clothing, Bra frowned as she thought of the manner in which her father was treating her. She growled when a shirt that she was interested in had gotten wedged in between the others, causing her to push it a little rougher than she ought of, making the entire rack fall apart. The people in the store gaped at her in shock, including the clerk managing the cash register, but she ignored them, leaving the rack on the floor and moving onto another set of clothing, this one holding various kinds of white shirts. Why couldn't her father understand that she was tired of training? All she wanted was a few days off so she could unwind and just do things that she enjoyed doing. Wild parties was a thing of the past and so was hanging out with ditzy girl-friends, however shopping that…that was one thing that she still held dearly.

With a heavy sigh, Bra dismissed her irritations as she had finally gotten away from her father, so there was no reason to feel angry. She continued to scan through the white shirts and when she found one that just kissed above her belly, she picked a few of them and tossed them onto her hand basket haphazardly. Turning to the right, she smiled brightly when her aqua orbs locked onto several sets of jackets. With a little bounce in her step, she made her way to the jackets. She looked at them thoughtfully, not knowing which one she wanted most, as they all were top quality with the shop's logo on it, 'Strawberry'.

Still pondering deeply, the female half Saiyan didn't flinch when a tall presence magically appeared beside her, dressed in blue and orange gi. While some customers became scared, rushing as quickly as possible out of the store, some shrugged it off, thinking that it was some kind of hologram. This is after all a store owned by Capsule Corp. and at this point, most people knew of Bulma Briefs odd inventions.

"Hi Goku." Bra said, her eyes remaining on the jackets.

"Hi Bra!" The full Saiyan greeted back cheerfully.

"What brings you here? Running from Chi-Chi again?"

Goku rubbed the back of his head. "Heh, you know me too well! She was nagging me to try on some suits for that get-together your mom is hosting at Capsule Corp. this upcoming weekend."

"Oh…how did you escape from her? You didn't just vanish right in front of her like last time right?" she asked, pulling one of the jackets from the rack and slipping it on.

"Kinda of, yeah. I remember she had me sleep in our backyard for a week when I did that!" He said, grinning. "But she should had known that that wouldn't be a problem since I had spent most my childhood in the forest. Besides, I could have gone to Bulma's, but then I realized just how much I've missed living outdoors, so I decided to stay."

"Anyways, when I felt your energy signature somewhere in the mall, I escaped while in one of the fitting rooms."

Bra grimaced when the jacket she currently had on was too tight. "Hmm, maybe you should go back before she finds out that you're gone."

Goku shook his head. "No way, I don't want to try on anymore clothes. I don't know why she even bothers to get me to dress differently. I never end up wearing the clothes she buys me. Besides, I'd rather be here with you! You're much more funner to hang out with than her!"

The half Saiyan didn't even bother to tell him that 'funner' wasn't even a word, as she was not only fighting to take off the tight jacket, but also trying to suppress the powerful blush that was dying to explode within her cheeks.

Goku, noticing her struggle, offered to help. "Uhh Bra, do you need help getting that off? You're turning very red!"

"N-no, I got it-" Bra paused when she heard a ripping sound. Crap! Successfully pulling off the jacket, she examined it and grimaced at the very visible tear on the right shoulder, near the armpit.

Looking left and right, the half Saiyan hurriedly hung the damaged jacket behind the others and moved on to another, this one a size bigger and a lighter blue. She slipped it on with ease this time.

A perfect fit!

Bra faced Goku. "What do you think?" She asked, doing a little spin.

The full Saiyan stroked his chin as he sized her up. "It looks very nice, but I think you should lose the red top and replace it with one of those shirts in your basket. The arm sleeves would have to also go of course, since the jacket will cover them."

Bra beamed at his approval, but also was a bit dumbfounded at his sudden sense of fashion. "I-I'll be sure to do that."

Goku smiled brightly, in which Bra turned her head, as the devious blush made a comeback.

"Hey, Chi-Chi had given me some zeni, so why don't we go get some ice cream? My treat!"

Though she rolled her eyes, she couldn't help but grin.

"I'm sixteen Goku, you don't need to spoil me with ice cream." She said, the sparkling in her rounded orbs saying otherwise.

Goku grinned. "Non-sense, you're never too old for ice cream!"

Bra laughed gleefully as she went to go purchase the clothes in hand and when she and Goku headed to the ice cream shop, the half Saiyan grabbed one his arms and nest it against her chest.

A soft sigh escaped her lips as she leaned her head onto the tightly grasped arm. Goku…

Bra…

Bra!

BRA!

Said Saiyan's turquoise eyes fluttered opened, meeting equally shaded ones. She had been sitting cross-legged, on the endless floor, mediating… well she had been until she accidently dozed off and day-dreamed of a memorable event in her past. Unfortunately, she couldn't quite remember what the dream was about.

"What is it?"

"You ready?" Goku said with a half-smile, his thumb jerking to the huge hourglass, which was now empty.

"It's time to leave."

"Yeah, let's go."

The Happy Saiyans

Piccolo gazed at the approaching form of Gohan, who landed on the tiled floor of the Lookout, jogging towards the Namek with his satchel in hand.

"Got em'!" Gohan said proudly, dropping the bag.

As Piccolo lips curved in amusement, Dende walked in. "Wow Gohan, that sure was fast!"

Gohan nodded. "And I would have been done faster if it wasn't for that mishap in Orange Star City and that stupid greedy jewelry shop owner…" he muttered.

A sudden loud rumbling clash caused his attention to drift to the far right, to the air where he saw Yamcha and Krillin in a sparring match. They punched and kicked each other rapidly, which was quite a shocker to Gohan as he couldn't remember the last time his father's friends actually, you know, trained. Well, they kind of did train for the fight with the Androids during the three years of 'peace', but for the most part they loafed around. Okay so maybe he's not giving Krillin enough credit, but the same could not be said for the former bandit. He…he didn't really do anything.

His eyes then fell to the brunette Android, who sat quietly on the floor with her back pressed against a pillar and her legs tucked to her chest. Her jaded orbs lazily followed the sparring figures above and oddly enough every time her sights landed on Krillin, her mouth would twitch almost as if she was trying to withhold a smile. Weird…

"So Dende, have you made any progress in modifying Shenron?" Gohan asked, turning from the fight.

Dende's expression brightened. "Yes, I have!"

Gohan nearly jumped in the air with joy. "Awesome! So tell us!"

"Well actually I-"

And that's when the Time Chamber's doors opened, causing Dende's voice to falter and make Piccolo, Trunks, Chiaotzu and Gohan turn around immediately, both eyeing the dark entryway. Krillin and Yamcha in a flash stopped sparring and nearly broke their necks when they pivoted their heads' to face the passageway; it even piqued Eighteen's interest.

The first to come into view was the full Saiyan. With his Saiyan armor gone and replaced by his signature blue and orange gi, he looked just about the same as when he entered the Time Chamber. Be that as it may, there was something else, something different. Might it be his calm and relaxed demeanor? Or perhaps it was the return of his Son Goku grin when he waved at his friends? Whatever it was or may have happened while in the Time Chamber had obvious had an effect on him because he looked nothing like the Goku they have been around for the last three years.

The female half Saiyan came in next and her appearance was kind of the same, yet different, at least compared to Goku. The first thing they noticed was the back and front of her blonde hair, which was wildly spiked, the back tied into a loose ponytail. The following thing they observed was the clothing, which consisted of a black tank top, red wristbands and gi pants, finishing with white Saiyan boots; having the look of a mastered Super Saiyan and an endearing smile and all, she was quite a sight to see.

Of course Yamcha had to say something stupid.

"Is it just me or did Bra get hotter?" He stated, nudging the former monk.

Krillin almost nodded, but the chill that slithered down his spine and the flash of jaded orbs paralyzed him to the point that he couldn't even speak, much less open his mouth.

Bra, feeling Yamcha's eyes on her, turned and gave him a friendly wink, which honestly threw him off so much that he briefly lost his ability of flight. She smirked shortly after as that was the reaction she had expected.

As Piccolo watched the half Saiyan walk towards him, his eyes narrowed at the suspicious smile spread across her lips.

"You know, the you from my reality used to give me that exact same look!" Bra said and well, Piccolo thought her smile couldn't have gotten wider; he was wrong.

"Soooo Pics…" She drawled.

The Namek sighed and like last time he didn't even bother to correct her awful nickname. However before he could work his magic, she shook her head, frantically waving her hands for him to stop.

"Can you make a little hole on the tailbone area? Because last time, my tail nearly suffocated."

Rolling his eyes, he waved his hand at Bra and within moments she was decked out in her light blue jacket and red skirt signature attire. Her orbs curved akin to Goku's as she tugged her snug jacket happily.

"Man, I've missed these! Thanks a bunch! Don't worry, I'll ask my mother to make replicas!" She said, swiveled around so that she was facing her brother. "Trunks you got empty capsules with you?"

"Yeah, I do."

"Toss me one!"

Trunks fished out a capsule and tossed it to her, which she caught without any hassle. While Bra capsulated her clothes, Goku spoke to all the fighters.

"Alright guys, so I've thought long and hard about-"

"Hold up!" Krillin started, him and Yamcha landing on the floor. "Before we get on that, I wanna know why are you making that face?"

Goku tiled his head. "What do you mean? Is there something wrong with my face? Is there something on it!?" he said, his fingers now feeling up and down his face.

Everyone was then stunned when Bra abruptly popped next to Goku and actually joined him, anxiously touching his cheeks, desperately looking for whatever it was that Krillin was talking about.

Trunks couldn't believe what he was witnessing, nor could Gohan.

Getting annoyed, Eighteen decided to step in.

"There is nothing on your face. He's talking about that curvy eye shit you both are doing."

Yamcha nodded. "It reminds me of Bulma's mother. I don't think I've ever seen her eyes look normal."

This caused Bra's turquoise orbs to become visible again, now looking pissed off. "Uhhh we're both happy! What's so wrong about that?!"

"Because with only four days left until the Cell Games, there is really nothing to be happy about! You have said before that the only one that could take on Cell is Gohan and from what you said that clearing is-ouch!" Krillin frowned, glaring at Yamcha nastily, in which the former bandit returned with a jerk of his head towards the little half Saiyan, giving him a meaningful look.

"Oh…OH!" Krillin grinned sheepishly before he continued on. "Anyways what had happened in there? I can tell Bra has mastered Super Saiyan but how about you Goku? Did you reach a new level of Super Saiyan?"

"Yeah, like Super Saiyan 3 or something?" Yamcha added with excitement.

Goku rubbed the back of his head nervously. "Uhhh actually no! I only improved a little-"

Bra cut in. "Put it this way, if Goku could beat my dad after he went in the Time Chamber the first time, he could now most definitely wipe the floor with him."

Goku lips twitched in amusement. "T-that's one way of putting it…but nope, I really didn't improve much and I'm in no way even close to Cell's power. However, Bra has gotten stronger! She is maybe as strong as Trunks!"

"Na, I think I'm much stronger than him now" Bra said, making her brother frown.

Although Trunks was usually the cool and collected one, for some reason, her comment ticked him off. It must be some kind of sibling rivalry thing…

"You know, after about the five month mark or maybe even earlier I made no more progress at all. I mostly spent my time helping Bra train, though you'd be surprised how much we were apart so that she could train by herself. I honestly only meditated, trying to figure out something, anything that I could use to defeat Cell, but no dice."

"I also stopped improving, only it happened after six months."

"Then…then what in the world were you both doing-" Trunks paused, then went pale. "Oh Kami…I think I'm gonna be sick…"

Both Goku and Bra light up like Christmas trees.

"Uhhh we both…"

"Hung out and stuff." Bra finished.

"Ohh man!" Yamcha laughed. "This is priceless! You mean you both seriously screwed around for six months!"

"N-n-nooooo…" Bra dragged out, starting to feel really really uncomfortable.

"This is ridiculous! You both wasted six month mating!" Piccolo said with a look of disbelief. Being around human's so long, it wasn't very hard to grasp the meaning of screwing used in this context.

Eighteen failed to hold back a giggle, a giggle that got all of the Z-Fighters attention. "What? It is kinda funny."

Though Krillin found it sorta humorous also, it was also creepy. No it wasn't the age differences, seeing as how Bra is in her early twenties while Goku in his late twenties. It had more to do with the fact that the daughter of Bulma looked so much like, well Bulma. Though back in the 23rd Martial Arts Tournament he had seen the blue haired heiress eye raping Goku when he returned from Kami's training, he didn't know why, but something about Goku and Bulma in a relationship bothers him immensely. It was probably that the way they acted around each other, from what he remembered, seemed like a brother and sister bond. But he had to admit, he had most certain thought Bulma was very attractive. That has changed and now he just considers her to be simply a friend. Bra…she was a different case… she resemble, how to say, a super-hot version of his blue haired friend, and regardless of his change of perspective of the way he saw Bulma, this woman could not be ignored.

Too bad the sexy brunette Android behind him was preventing him from admiring the view of the female Saiyan with her burning glare of death. It was almost as if she just knew what he was thinking about…right now. Her smirk of satisfaction didn't help him either.

Bra threw her hands in the air in defeat. "Okay, so we fucked, had lots of sex for months, can we move on!"

Yamcha rolled his eyes. "Leave it to Bra to be blunt." He said, a shit-eating-grin smeared disgustingly on his face.

"Goku, go on with what you were saying before." Piccolo said.

He did.

"Guys…I'm changing my mind…I will allow Gohan to participate in the Cell Games."

Gohan's eyes widen, and then it switched into anger. "What?! Why didn't you talk to me about this dad?!"

"Gohan, considering that you can't even remain transformed in your ascended form for more than five-ten minutes, thirty if you're lucky, I thought that it would be best-"

The half Saiyan's voice elevated. "Then what was the point of me training in the Time Chamber in the first place?!"

Goku remained firm. "At the time, I didn't think you would have this much difficulty remaining transformed. I had thought that by the end of our time, you would have gotten the hang of it."

"But that doesn't give you the right to make choices for me without at least talking with me about them!"

Now Goku was angry. "Listen Gohan, I'm your father, so-"

His son snorted "Gee, I wonder sometimes. From the way it seems, Piccolo is a much better father than you have ever been!" he spat, the words as sharp as daggers-

Gohan hissed as a sharp pain pierced the back of head, causing an awful pounding sensation. His right hand flung to the back of his skull, his legs suddenly feeling like jello, his feet dancing back and fro, almost losing his balance. Everyone suddenly stood on guard, already expecting the worse as they worried that Gohan would lose control of himself again.

However instead, the half Saiyan regained his composure and blinked a few times, looking quite puzzled.

"Ugh!" Gohan expressed one of his eyes sealing shut as he nursed his head.

"Are…are you okay Gohan?" Piccolo asked.

"I think so…that's the second time that's happened to me."

Goku immediately became worried, unable to thrust the fearful thoughts that raced within his mind. "When was the first?"

"it…it was yesterday, during the time I was searching for the Dragon Balls." He replied.

Oh man, I think he's starting to remember... Goku thought, a bead of sweat rolling down his temple.

I told you it was a bad idea to keep the truth from him... A deep voice invaded.

I know… I just don't want to tell him Piccolo… it would devastate him. He didn't do it on purpose, but he wouldn't believe that. No matter how much I reassure him, he will still beat himself up over this…

But don't you think it will be worse if he remembers completely? Think about it Goku, he not only already resents you for not telling him about this whole…affair you had with Bra, but he also feels abandoned by you. When you and Gohan exited the Time Chamber, from I could tell, you both had seemed to have resolved your issues. Remember, he was pretty adamant about not going in with you. If I hadn't made him see reason, he probably wouldn't have gone with you at all. So I strongly suggest you to reconsider your decision because if he finds out through his own memories and realizes that you had lied to him again, then you might lose your son all together.

Heh, and that's just something I'm going to have to live with…

And then the connection was cut.

As Gohan struggled to not fall flat on his face, his father stepped before him and knelt to his level.

To everyone's surprise, even his son, Goku reeled him into a hug.

"D-dad?"

"I'm sorry son. I only did what I thought was best for you. After all, I don't want anything to happen to you while fighting Cell. As of now, you cannot remain in your ascended state for long, however that doesn't mean that you can't fix that." Goku said, releasing him, now at eye level with his son.

"This is a risk I'm taking, but I think under pressure, you could correct this problem. I know you can do it Gohan and honestly, I'm starting to believe that the reason you can't stay transformed is because you don't believe you can."

"But-but I've tried so hard and no matter what-"

Goku smiled. "I wonder Gohan, have you tried not trying at all."

His son looked taken aback. "Huh?"

The full Saiyan laughed as he tapped the side of his son's temple. "Think about it, are you even trying to stay as a Super Saiyan right now?"

"Uhh no."

"Exactly." With one last smile and a pat on the back, Goku stood up and walked towards the group, leaving a slightly confused half Saiyan behind.

Bra's lips broke into a smile, her heart warming up at what she had just witnessed.

"Hey Dende, what's the word on the Dragon Balls?" Goku asked, causing the female half Saiyan to whirl around, her eyes landing on a little green Namek, who quietly stood beside Piccolo.

Dende's eyes lit up. "Good thing you both made it back because I was just about to tell the others what Shenron can now do!"

"You mean you've already completely finished modifying the dragon?!" Gohan asked, clearly amazed

Upon Dende's nod, Piccolo gave him a grin, a grin that mimicked Nail's. He couldn't help but give him a smile in return.

"Well, I managed to program everything you all had asked for. Since I used the former guardian's model of Shenron, he can grant any wish that is within his power, as it was before, only this time, he could grant three wishes instead of one, just like Porunga. He can still revive more than one person at once, however I also gave him the ability to bring back those who have died before. And as I said previously, because he is much weaker than Porunga, it will take two wishes for a mass revival, which includes people that have died before." Dende said, hoping that his efforts are to the Z-Fighter's liking.

"Excellent, I knew you wouldn't let us down." Piccolo said, feeling proud of his fellow Namek.

Piccolo's praising caused Dende to look down, his cheek's burning a bright pink.

"Well, now that that is all settled, it's my turn to enter into the Time Chamber. I know that I most likely won't make much progress, but it's better than nothing in my opinion." Piccolo said, as he turned to the lavender haired half Saiyan. "Trunks, you can inform Vegeta that once I return, he can go in for his last day."

Seeing Trunks nod, he bid them farewell, strode to the entrance of the Time Chamber and went inside, the double doors sealing shut from behind.

While Gohan and Dende began to conversant, the former monk decided that it was the perfect time to ask his Saiyan friend a question.

"Hey Goku…" Krillin said, tapping said Saiyan on his lower arm. "I know you said you have faith in Gohan and so do I, but what if he isn't able to do it? Do you have any other plans?"

The Super Saiyan shook his head. "Nope."

"Come on Goku! I know you always have a plan somewhere in that head of yours, so spit it out!" Krillin pressed, praying to Kami that the full Saiyan was holding out on something. He desperately wanted reassurance that all hope was not lost if things took a nose drive.

"No Krillin, I truly have no clue. There would be no reason to hide anything from you. I had forbid Gohan to fight because I was worried that he would lose control of himself out there, battling Cell. But then what Trunks told me not long ago got to me. Remember for you guys it was a day, but for me, I had an entire year to think about the choices that I had made as of recently and also in the manner that I've been acting."

Goku smiled as he watched his son talk animatedly with the little Namek, both occasionally laughing at whatever they were discussing.

"Look, I know that I haven't been myself for the past few years, ever since the divorce with Chi-Chi and while I regret how the whole thing went down, I truly don't feel sorry for ending our marriage."

Krillin started to see his friend in another light when he saw just how serene he appeared.

"If our marriage hadn't fallen apart, I wouldn't have ever known how it would feel to really be in love with someone." Goku's best friend's jaw dropped as he witnessed his turquoise orbs shimmer like never before, the Saiyan's line of sight admiring the obvious cause of his happiness.

Bra was too distracted clobbering Yamcha over the head multiple times, probably do to his perverted nature, for her to notice the adoring gaze that the Earth raised Saiyan was giving her.

Goku chuckled when he realized that he was trailing off topic. "Krillin…I've never been one to give up on others, yet here I was, throwing my own son under the bus, babying him because I was just too scared to watch him get hurt. I wasn't thinking like myself in that moment, no, I was thinking like Chi-Chi. She worries so much about Gohan that she'd rather keep him safe and have the whole planet become dust than have him out there, trying to protect it, so that we can all live another day."

"I know Gohan doesn't like to fight, like Vegeta and I, but he will if he has to in order to save lives. And I'm pretty sure it's because he's half human, just like Trunks and Bra. The human side dilutes the thirst for battle that full Saiyans crave, from what Vegeta told me."

"I hate to say this, but if Gohan can't defeat Cell, then that wish for another day won't come true."

With that, Krillin's shoulders slackened, his hopes completely deflating.

"However…"

Krillin's raised his head.

"I will do everything I can to help Gohan prepare for his fight with Cell. But honestly, I don't think he needs my help. I'm sure this is a mental issue."

"Don't you want to train with him again?" Trunk asked. He had been listening to the conversation that his friends were having quietly. "You still have six months left whereas Gohan has one year and a half, so you can at least spend six months in there with him."

Goku snorted. "Yeah right, there is no way I'm going to spend six more months in there."

With a mischievous grin on his lips, he placed two fingers on his forehead and within seconds he vanished, leaving Krillin and Trunk flapping their mouths like fishes.

"You know Yamcha, I had thought that after our last talk, you would STOP! BEING! A! FREAKING! PERVERT! TOWARDS! ME!"

The former bandit flailed his hands about, frantically trying to safeguard himself from the constant slapping coming from the half Saiyan.

"I swear Bra, I can't help it! It's a guy thing! "

"Yeah but you make it soooo obvious!" She said, with her arms crossed and her hips tilted. "It's almost as if you're trying to see through my skirt!"

"And I can't help that either! It's like that with every woman I think is hot! You're no exception! I don't discriminate!"

Having enough of Yamcha's bullshit, Bra lunged at him, but she never got the chance to touch him as an orange blur appeared from behind, grabbed her around the waist, whisking her away. Within moments, she broke into fits of laughter as her Goku spun, looped and twirled her up in the air.

"See-ya later guys!" Goku hollered, his eyes curving again with joy as he felt the half Saiyan playfully wiggle in his arms.

"Dad, where are you going?!" Gohan yelled, having been distracted by all the commotion.

"To relax! You should go home son! I'll drop by soon!"

The female half Saiyan shrieked with delight when Goku dived over the Lookout, passing by Korin's so fast, that the cat had howled and latched onto Yajirobe's face, both of them nearly toppling over the edge.

Back on the Lookout, Yamcha grinned. "You know, you'd think they've done enough 'relaxing' while in the Time Chamber huh."

Trunks sighed. "Yamcha…"

"Yeah?"

"Please stop talking."

A/N: So here we are, a little over three months...and you get chapter 39. I originally wanted to get a chapter up by Aug 19th, because that was the 3 year anniversary...but shit happens ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Let me explain briefly (The Excuse, The Bad, The Good, The Exciting)

1. The Excuse - I was straight up lazy and just unmotivated to write anything. Just kept on procrastinating.

2. The Bad - Then, I was like word, lets get this done and son of a whore I got tendonitis (both hands). Despite feeling pain, I pushed through, though sluggishly, even if just one hand at times.

3. The Good - I'm doing a lot better now, I can type normally again. If it does come back, I hope it doesn't for a long while.

4. The Exciting - I have two other chapters somewhat finished, though they need lots of editing. After those chapters, the first fight of the Cell Games will begin.

That is all, thanks for reading and yes, I'm very sorry to keep ya'll waiting guys! ='(

Til next time!

Later!
