Maggie sat in one of the break rooms at the DEO, playing a game on her phone until Kara came in.
"It never ceases to amaze me how fast you can go when food is involved," Maggie said as Kara placed the to-go bags down in front of her.
"Gotham isn't that far away," Kara pointed out. "I could have let you take your chances with the food in the vending machines."
"Oh, don't think I don't appreciate the quickness," Maggie said as she started to get the food out of the bags for her and Kara to eat. "I do very much so, especially since your sister promised me a night out tonight."
"How much longer do you think they will be in there?" Kara asked, opening up one of the containers and starting to eat.
Alex and Lena were currently in Alex's lab – where they had been for at least 90 minutes now. Lena had come by at Alex's request to look over some alien technology they had recovered and ever since then, the two women had been geeking out over it, leaving Maggie and Kara there to wait.
"I give it at least 40 minutes. That will give me time to eat this food and then go in there and drag her out," Maggie said. "Or maybe I will just leave after eating this generous meal you provided and let Alex come home in an apologetic mood. I can make her suffer for hours thinking that I'm mad at her. What about you?"
Kara shrugged. "For as many times as I have rushed off or interrupted a date to respond to some emergency as Supergirl, I no longer have a leg to stand on with Lena about waiting so she gets to have all the time she wants."
"Fair enough," Maggie said, taking a bite.
"How are you going to make Alex suffer?"
Maggie raised an eyebrow. "Both you and your sister have made it clear that I'm not allowed to discuss our sex life."
"Gross," Kara said.
Maggie smiled. "Maybe I will stick around until they are done though as that is a topic I can discuss with Lena."
"Please tell me you and Lena do not discuss such things."
"Ok, I won't tell you," she said with a mischievous grin.
