A/N: Enjoy!
"What the?!" Trunks stared at his sister in awe, astounded at her new appearance. He then felt a familiar energy signature. "Do you guys feel that ki?"
Yamcha nodded rapidly. "Yeah, it feels like-"
"Dad?!" Gohan yelled with excitement and hope, his head spinning about like radars, trying to find his father.
Vegeta scowled, feeling like he was surrounded by morons. It's one thing to not be able to distinguish someone's ki when you can't see them, especially if a being like Cell exist, as the bastard's own ki has traces of the others including myself. It's another if the ki which you are trying to identify is right in front of you.
Tired of witnessing them look around for someone that they'd never find, he explained.
"It's coming from the brat." He said, getting everyone to face him. "If you'd actually pay attention, you'd feel that Kakarot's ki is merged with hers."
Trunks shook his head, still confused. "But why?!
The Prince sighed, his irritation increasing with each second that he felt his daughter's ki intertwined with that clown. "Back on my planet, Planet Vegeta, it was said that when Saiyans… consummate their relationship….their souls are merged together. That is why I think her ki also 'feels' like Kakarot's."
"I say I think because I did not know how to sense ki when I was a child. I learned that here, after my fight with Kakarot." He added
Yamcha cocked his head. "But neither you nor Bulma have similar ki."
The full Saiyan rolled his eyes. "I said Saiyans you idiot, the woman's an earthling!" He spat.
Trunks nodded. "What about her sudden burst of energy? Don't you think this is a little farfetched? I mean she had no ki left and then this happens! Not that I'm disappointed!"
Vegeta shrugged, ending that conversation.
Back to the fight, Cell eyeballed the Saiyan Princess with curiosity.
Cell smirked. He wasn't intimated.
"You know, I'm not impressed, little girl. I'm still much more powerful than you. All you have managed to do is give us a show, nothing more."
"We'll see about that!" Bra said, performing an afterimage.
Feel Her Wrath! Bra's Unadulterated Fury!
Cell was stunned when the Saiyan Princess appeared in the air, mere inches from him with her sword drawn and positioned over his head. Bringing it down, the Bio-Android parried off each strike she delivered, the clashing sound of metal ringing through the air. Deciding to switch things up, Bra dropped to the ground, sheathed her weapon and lunged forwards, giving him an elbow to the stomach, making him skid back several feet; looking ahead, he saw that his enemy was gone.
ZIZZT
Coming from behind, Bra threw a sideways kick at Cell's neck, but the Android easily caught her foot with his right hand and swung her over his shoulder and slammed her back against the ground. Watching her spring upwards, she clenched her teeth in pain as Cell swiftly delivered a kick that sent her rocketing forwards. The Saiyan Princess swore with each time that she plowed through tall cliffs, the structure falling to pieces and plummeting down until they cratered into the ground. A cry escaped her when the Android halted her movement by a second well-timed kick, this one launching her upwards. Meeting her from above, Cell landed a series of blows that had her flinging to and fro and side to side, each attack creating powerful shockwaves which broke through the sound barrier. One last hit, a haymaker, had gravity pulling her down to the earth soil at an alarming rate, the corner of her lower lip weeping blood as she desperately tried to transition into a flip so that she could land on her feet and not headfirst.
Managing to land upright, her mental victory dance was cut short when her turquoise orbs locked with the Bio-Android, who had his hand raised into the air with a crazed expression on his face as a tiny sphere of ki began to develop on the tip of his index finger.
Cell laughed while the others could only look on in horror when the harmless ki swelled up to an enormous size.
"Die you worthless Saiyan trash! Supernova Attack!"
"Oh fuck!" The Saiyan Princess swore, flaring her navy blue and orange aura up, bracing herself.
It was only through pure resolve that Bra had not pulled away when the Supernova collided with her spread palms, the red-hot attack causing her pale skin to redden with blistering welts. Grinding her teeth firmly, Bra shouted, her arms and legs quivering fervently as her muscles contracted, her thin body straining from the herculean effort she was putting into ceasing Cell's planet bursting move.
"Come on princess, you just need to scream a little louder to really hit those high notes!" Cell taunted, enjoying the Saiyan Princess's pained shrieks.
Bra gasped, her eyes widening as the gargantuan ki ball started to swallow her hands. Oh that's not good!
The sleeves of her jacket began to disintegrate with every inch that the Supernova absorbed of her arm, her pain filled yells making even the mighty Prince uncomfortable.
Come on…Bra…show that bastard the true power of a Saiyan warrior…
It was there, with her arms entirely submerged into the attack, that she found the strength to do-
"Final Shine Attack…Full Power!"
Yamcha, Gohan, Trunks cheered while Eighteen and Vegeta smirked, their eyes following the attack as it set course back to its owner, who looked anything but happy.
Her indigo jacket now a sleeveless ragged mess, Bra gave a shaky sigh, wanting to take a second to catch her breath.
Unfortunately, the Bio-Android wasn't having it.
Using Instant Transmission, Cell appeared from behind, throwing a fist at the unware half Saiyan.
Or so he thought.
Using lightning fast reflexes, the Saiyan Princess did a backflip, grabbed his head and pushed off of him, causing him to stagger forwards. Doing a few more backflips, Bra sprung into the air, reached behind and removed her sword from her back. I don't think I can beat him…there isn't a scratch on him…
But I'm not going to give up…not until I stop breathing!
Igniting her aura, her sword was encased in a bright glittering navy-blue light as she thrust it in the air. Twisting her sword skywards, Bra gave a horizontal swing of her weapon, shouting-
"Shining Justifier Barrage!"
A huge wave of green energy exploded from her sword, heading down and vaporizing the ground while rushing towards the wide-eyed Cell. Diving to his side, he was able to evade the attack.
"Two!"
A second swipe of her sword sent another wave of ki at Cell, in which he yet again dodged.
"Three!"
Cell leaped back and shot into the sky, where he had to drop down when number 'Four' came jetting towards him. Left and right he nimby moved as 'Five' and its sibling 'Six' rudely barged in; Cell wasn't able to avoid those.
Crossing his arms, Cell grunted when the first one collided into him, yelling 'Perfect Barrier' as the second one came crashing in right on after. Unfortunately, all those attacks managed to do was push him back several feet.
What? Nothing!?
Just as she was about to swing for the seventh wave of energy, Bra froze when her body pulsed.
A second pulse caused her navy-blue and orange aura to fade into gold, the Super Saiyan 2 trait of blue-lightning making its appearance.
And finally, a third pulse turned her hair blonde, any trace of light blue gone.
Bra grimaced. Well shit that was stupid of me…
With his barrier still surrounding his form, Cell grinned.
"Oh no!" Yamcha voiced, throwing his hands up in defeat. He then did a double take. "Wait, she's still ascended!"
Trunks sighed. "Doesn't matter, she's now only as strong as Gohan was at half his max power."
Vegeta growled with irritation. "Unbelievable! She had made the same damned mistake she did while fighting the other Cell's brat!"
Gohan's brow raised, understanding what the Prince meant. "Yeah weird. She wasted a good chunk of her ki with that last move she did."
"Hmmm maybe she was hoping that because she was stronger, that it'd at least do some damage." Trunks said.
Tightening his small fist, Gohan buried it into the ground, wishing that some kind of hidden power would suddenly flood his body. Not gonna happen…
Feeling someone's presence looming over him, he looked up to meet a familiar pair of icy blue orbs. Staring at her in a trance-like state, the pigtail haired girl blushed.
She then kicked him.
"Ouch!" Gohan whined, soothing his aching shin. "What was that for?!"
"Yeah, Videl, that was quite mean!" in came Erasa with Sharpner closely behind.
Videl threw a glare at her friend, causing her to look away shyly as she thought her friend looked cute when she was angry; Sharpner frowned.
"Hey kid, get out there and help that girl kick that monster's ass!" Videl demanded.
Before Gohan could respond, Sharpner cut in. "So kid, didn't you kill the white Cell? If so, how is he back?"
"And green!?" Erasa added.
Gohan blinked, trying to grasp that this was actually happening…out of all places….where they were probably soon going to die; nevertheless, he responded.
"Uhhh it's too long to explain. But I will say that this isn't the same one."
Sharpner turned almost as green as Cell. "Another one?! You mean there is even more?!"
Gohan shrugged. "I sure hope not."
"Auurghhh! Will you both just shut the hell up!?" Videl cried out, her friends shrinking back fearfully.
The black haired girl faced the half Saiyan again. "What's your name kid?!" she tried to hide her eagerness, as she really wanted to know his name.
"Ehh Oh, it's Gohan."
Gohan…she mentally said dreamily…and she couldn't hate herself more in that moment.
"Okay, Gohan, why don't you go and help her!? You beat the other one right?!"
He sucked in a breath. "I can't…I don't have any energy left." He admitted.
Despite the situation they were in, Trunks and Yamcha couldn't help but be amused. Even Eighteen, who's been rather quiet since Krillin died.
Videl's shoulders drooped. "So that's it huh? We're doomed?"
Gohan smiled sadly but then something caught his eyes. Is that what I think it is?!
"Hey… you…uhhh-"
Seeing that he was looking at her, Erasa responded. "It's Erasa!"
"What's that in your hands?"
"I dunno….I found it on the ground earlier on. It looks like a neat bean!" She said, flashing the object into view in the palm of her hand.
Trunks and Yamcha gasped. "No way…"
Gohan grinned. "It's a Senzu bean!" he extended his hand. "Can you give it to me please?"
Erasa reeled her hand back, protectively. "Na-uh! I found it first!"
"But it can help! It can give me the power to defeat Cell!"
"You're not just saying that cause you want the bean are you?!" she said, squinting her eyes, daring him to lie to her.
"B-But we're all going to die if you don't!" Gohan said, getting annoyed.
"Are you surrrre that-"
"Oh for Kami's sake Erasa, give him the stupid bean!"
Pouting in defeat, the ditzy blonde uncurled her hand and planted the bean on the half Saiyan's palm.
Gohan's eyes lit up with renewed hope.
Pondering deeply while staring at the bean, he grabbed it and broke it into two halves. Turning to Vegeta, he offered a piece to him.
"Why?" the Prince asked, eying the bean warily.
"I don't think I can be of much help by myself." Gohan confessed. "I mean three Saiyans are better than one and well you are one of the strongest here."
Vegeta chuckled dryly, stunning the half Saiyan when he turned away, rejecting the offering.
"Boy…after everything that you've done today-" he paused and let out a breath. "You definitely are Kakarot's brat."
"Huh?" did Vegeta just compliment him?
"I'm not taking the bean boy." His jaw tensed as he forced himself to ignore his pride's demands to take the bean and go out there and fight. "Giv-give it to someone else…"
Trunks, Yamcha and Gohan were of course speechless.
"Gohan, why don't you take the entire bean? I'm sure with that power you had before you can mop the floor with him!" Yamcha said, encouragingly.
Gohan sighed. "I don't really understand it, but I can feel that the dark power that I had is gone…forever. That's how I killed the other Cell. His body for some reason couldn't handle my dark ki, so I used it all on him."
The sound of a tormented shriek tearing over the sky ended their exchange, their heads turning back to the battle to become witness to a rather disturbing scene.
They watched as the airborne Android gave the Saiyan Princess two punches to her stomach, causing her to double over and gasp breathlessly, before latching a hand against her face and diving straight down. Her scuffed and battered face wrinkled when her head followed by her back crashed into the ground, Cell grinning evilly as he used the aerial momentum to slide her alongside the terrain, creating a long trench. A wad of blood burst from her lips as Cell proceeded to beat her face in, making sure each punch was harder than the last. With superhuman strength, she somehow managed to press her boots against the Android's chest and thrust him off of her; she then took off into the air, Cell trailing closely from behind.
His eyes widening with fear for his fellow Saiyan, Gohan quickly ate half the bean and within moments his ki was resorted, though only partially. Tightening his muscles, Gohan easily transformed into Super Saiyan 2, his blond hair wavering smoothly. Rising his power even higher, he froze when he found that he was losing grip of his transformation.
Oh no no no! Why? He mentally asked, panic starting to resurface. No, calm down….now think…
Taking a breath in and letting it out, he began to relax, the tension in his body leaving him feeling as light as a feather.
"I know you can do it Gohan and honestly, I'm starting to believe that the reason you can't stay transformed is because you don't believe you can."
"But-but I've tried so hard and no matter what-"
Goku smiled. "I wonder Gohan, have you tried not trying at all?"
His son looked taken aback. "Huh?"
The full Saiyan laughed as he tapped the side of his son's temple. "Think about it, are you even trying to stay as a Super Saiyan right now?"
"Uhh no."
"Exactly."
Opening his eyelids while wearing a small smile, he mumbled a thanks to his deceased father as he dug deep into his reservoir of power and found what he was looking for. Not giving it a thought more, Gohan ignited his golden aura, his turquoise orbs now filled with unwavering resolve.
The half Saiyan winced when he realized that his transformation had blown the non-ki user off their feet.
"Hey! What the hell kid!?" Yelled Videl, jumping back onto her feet. Any spiteful words she wanted to say left her when she saw how….amazing he looked. It wasn't like before when he saved her and her friends from the little Cells. No back then, he looked more ruthless and emotionless, an uncontrollable savage beast wanting to shatter the chains holding him back so that he could run loose and do whatever he pleases. But now he looked calm and determined, in complete control of himself. He had a goal in mind and that was to defeat Cell. She could tell from the look in his beautiful spheres that he was going to give it all he's got…even if it killed him.
And she liked it.
"Videl….you're ogling…" Sharpner whispered, startling the raven-haired girl.
Her cheeks now flushed, Videl crossed her arms and turned away.
Erasa tried to be annoyed at her friend for going all 'goo-goo' for Gohan, but for some reason, she just couldn't. I mean they'd look good together…Oh no! I'm starting to get the urge to ship them!
"Oh man! I can't believe I forgot!"
Trunks sudden outburst grabbed everyone's attention.
"Forgot what?" Yamcha asked.
Instead of explaining, Trunk fished a capsule out of his Saiyan outfit and revealed its contents with a click of a button.
"It's the virus that Bra and I found in Dr. Gero's lab isn't it?" Yamcha asked, stunned as he picked up the vial, which was nearly five inches long and three inches wide. Looking at the purple substance swooshing inside, he realized that something was missing.
"Uhh Trunks? There is no needle…"
Rolling his eyes, Trunks plucked the vial from his hand and clicked a button on its side, causing a long needle to protrude from its tip. "My mother knows what she's doing."
"Oh…" the former bandit grinned bashfully.
Pressing the button on its side again, the needle retracted back into the vial. Gesturing to Gohan, he tossed it towards him, the half Saiyan swiping it from the air without a hitch.
"Now that I think about, it's actually kind of good that we hadn't used it. Now we can use it on this Cell!" Trunks said while Gohan eyed the vial curiously.
"Do you think it'll work?" Gohan asked.
Trunks grinned. "Why not? She built a Time Machine right?"
Gohan returned the gesture, pocketing the vial.
"And Gohan…make sure you aim for his neck. My mother said that it most likely won't be able to pierce through anywhere else in his body…"
"Right!"
A/N: The final Senzu makes its appearance! Be honest, how many of you forgot about the bean that Krillin let slip from his fingers? What about the virus? I wouldn't blame you if you did since it was quite a while ago.
This is it, you guys! There are only two chapters left of the Cell Saga and the next one is the battle's climax! It's one of my most favorite chapters thus far!
See-ya later!
