48 Hours

"G-Goku?"

"Yup, the one and-"

The full Saiyan barely had time to open his arms as Bra practically slammed into him, causing both of them to fall on the grassy field.

"I-it's really y-you?!" The half Saiyan sobbed, holding onto the full Saiyan like her life depended on it and… maybe it did…

"Yeah Bra, it's me. Fortune Teller Baba had left as soon as she dropped me off!" Lifting her chin up, Goku frowned when he saw tears rolling down her beautiful spheres. Goku noticed that they seemed kind of cloudy, but he pushed that to the back of his mind, thinking that it's probably because she's crying now.

"B-but how?" She asked, sighing with content when Goku removed the tears from her cheek with his thumb, enjoying his warm touch.

Lifting the both of them up, Goku laughed tenderly when Bra still remained glued to his person, her arms wrapped around him in a vice grip.

"You're not going to let me go are you?"

"Nope." She said firmly, nuzzling her cheeks against his chest.

"Well to answer your question, King Kai talked to King Yemma, err or more like begged him to let me come to Earth for one day since I begging him to ask. Of course he refused at first, saying that little stunt I pulled while ya'll fought Cell was a big no no, so I was to be penalized in some way. And since what I did was try to go to the world of the living while I was, ya know, dead, he decided that the best punishment was to forbid me from ever going back to the living, by any means. Heh, looks like Cell got what he wanted didn't he?"

Bra tilted her head, trying to figure out why Goku had…reverted to how he was before they were together…wait…

She suddenly began to panic.

"Goku, do you still love me?!"

Goku's head jerked back. "Of course I do, what kind of question is that?"

Bra pushed him back, gripped his cheeks and reeled him into a desperate yet loving kiss. To Bra's horror not only did Goku stiffen and not return the kiss, but he nudged her back, though gently.

Seeing the look of misery on her face, he sighed. "It's not what you think."

Bra's hope rose slightly. "It's not?"

"Yeah." He nodded, smiling, however it wasn't as soft as last time; it more tight, more forced.

Bra hated it.

"Bra listen, I-"

"Are we still that Soulmate thing?"

"Yeah, I'm sure of that, though I wasn't sure until I got here."

"So…you're still in love with me too?"

Bra didn't like how Goku pursed his lips. If you are in love with someone, she was pretty sure you'd say yes in a heartbeat and most definitely not fucking purse your lips like you're trying to guess a difficult question in 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire'.

"Bra, you don't know how it is in Otherworld! I'm still confused cause of the change of-"

The half Saiyan became slightly annoyed. "The hell? What do you mean you're confused? Goku, I might not understand how it 'works' up there, but guess what? You also don't know how it is to live for 7 years without someone who probably might have a piece of your heart!"

"Listen to me…"

"No you listen! How-"

"My time is limited here."

"What?"

"I'm not going to be here forever. Once I leave, that's it. I'll NEVER be able to return here. So do you really want to waste our time arguing or do you want to spend it relaxing, having fun with our friends?"

"Fine, continue your little story." She said, pressing her lips tightly and crossing her arms.

When Goku's face beamed to life, Bra could no longer remain mad at him.

"Well after constant begging from King Kai, I decided to jump in. King Yemma gave in and began to look into his files and saw that I've been in my best behavior in the past 7 years. He told me that I have accumulated some amount of points or something. Then he gave it to me straight and said I have 48 Earth hours that I can use and that I had two options. One, I can go down to Earth today for 24 hours and then save the remaining 24 hours to use in….one hundred years orrrr I can use up all my 48 hours today and NEVER gather points to return to Earth. I think you can guess what option I picked…"

Bra sucked in a breath. "The 48 hours because you have no idea if any of us will live that long. But why does that matter? We can probably see each other when I die as well as the others. Saiyans might live longer than humans, but I'll see you up there eventually!" I should go upstairs right?

"Bra…Yemma told me I really screwed up. Yeah, he has let me get away with many things… more than the average person, but what I did is considered a very serious crime in Otherworld. In fact him doing this is risky because the higher Kais might not like it."

Bra wanted to tell Goku that the Supreme Kai, who he probably doesn't know of, isn't as bad as he might think, but she honestly wasn't sure of that. This reality is different because of her presence here, so it isn't worth risking, is it? Not only that, but knowing Goku, he'd go and complain to the Supreme Kai and who knows what that might cause. If they find out she time traveled…oh man who knows what can happen.

"Anyways, both choices have repercussions; be it 24 hours or 48, I'm still going to lose my body. Heck even if I don't pick a choice, I might still lose my body just cause I've been bothering him so much he told me, who knows."

Bra turned pale. "W-what?!"

"You heard me…he's really a jerk ain't he!?"

"Then why didn't you just wait? I mean I think I'm already…"Bra trailed off, realizing that it probably isn't a good idea to tell him that she might be dying.

"You're already what Bra?"

"Nothing, don't worry about it. I'll tell you later." She said, waving her hand in dismissal. "A-anyways, what's done is done right?"

"Yeah..." He suddenly smiled and Bra loved it. "Let's go see the others!"

Bra frowned, her eyes heating up with rage and…something else…something familiar…something he hasn't seen in a long time. Whatever it was, it both excited and scared him for some reason.

"Bra, what's wrong? Why are you giving me that-"

"THE HELL AM I SHARING YOU WITH ANYONE! YOU'RE ALL MINE TODAY!"

Goku yelped as he was taken away.

A/N: That shit with Goku was complete non-sense lol I just needed a way to make the situation dire. This indeed might be the end of him as I have no more plans for this story once Buu Saga is finished. But that being said, this isn't ending anytime soon, so nothing is for certain; if Goku or any of the Z-gang will die and remain dead...well...
