Chapter 16: Tentacool and Tentacruel

Durring their vacation week, they spent time relaxing and getting to know Nami a bit more after her rather large bombshell.

But things had quieted down, they parted ways with Pro. Oak and Delia and were ready to head back to the mainland on their own.

However there was one problem.

They missed the ferry back to the mainland.

"Well if someone hadn't gotten us lost." Muttered Nami glaring at Zoro.

"Yeah, yeah… blame me." Muttered Zoro.

Nami glared at Zoro.

That is until they noticed a Pokémon that beaten up in the water.

"Who's that Pokémon?" asked Luffy.

Ash cheeked in the Pokedex.

"Horsea, a dragon Pokémon. In this unique species, thousands of eggs hatch every spring and then the male raised them himself."

"I wonder what happened." Said Luffy.

The Horsea sprayed ink that looked like a picture of something as if to warn them about something.

OF course they didn't understand.

"That's cool it could draw." Said Luffy.

"I should catch it so that we can take to a Pokémon Center. "said Misty but before she could do that they saw a boat in the distance suddenly explode.

"That doesn't look good." Said Luffy.

"We have to go help." Said Ash.

After finding a boat that they could use for the rescue, Nami took control of the boat.

They sped towards the boat explosion where several sailors were in the sea.

"Go! Staryu! Starmie! Goldeen" called out Misty.

Staryu and Starmie began to help the sailors.

"I didn't know you could use Pokémon like that." Said Ash.

Everyone in the boat slowly looked at Ash.

"He is 10…" sighed Zoro.

"Good point." Sighed Nami.

They continued to save the men and brought them aboard the boat, all of them seemed to be paralyzed somehow.

"Hey are you all right?" asked Ash.

"The Tentacool…" one of them managed to say.

They all looked at each other.

After fining that Horsea again and giving it some treatment, they were brought to an office where the boss of the men they were rescued worked for.

It was a very short old lady with red hair put into braids. She was surrounded by men wearing only Speedos.

"Is it just me or does she look familiar." Said Luffy.

"There is something about her…" said Ash.

She just glared at them and they shut up.

"So…" said Nami, "What do you want from us?"

The old lady smirked at Nami.

"You want to get right to the punch don't you?" she asked, "The name's Nastina and I want you to do a job for me."

"What kind of job?" asked Nami who basically took control of the negotiations.

"Cutting to chaise aren't you." Laughed Nastina, "You see our there!"

She pointed outside, there was a construction site out on the water.

"That's my newest hotel. Nastina's Paradise." Explained Nastina, "Soon to be one of the finest hotels in the in the world. However…"

"However?" asked Nami.

"Those nasty Tentacool are messing everything up!" she yelled.

"Tentacool?" asked Ash.

"Yes!" yelled Nastina, "They're horrible Pokémon! They cause so many problems! They're poison type! They get everywhere and worst of all you can't eat them!"

"So what do does this have to do with us?" asked Nami going back into Negotiation mode.

"I want you to eliminate them!" said Nastina, "If you do! I will give you not only free nights in Nastina's paradise once it opens! But also 1,000,000 Poke!" said Nastina.

"Oh wow!" cheered Nami with her eyes turning in Berry signs.

However Misty was upset,.

"NO DEAL!" yelled Misty.

"Misty!" said Nami.

"I said no deal!" yelled Misty storming out.

Luffy followed her with Brock soon after, Ash, Nami and Zoro all left right afterwards.

"Misty what's your problem?" asked Nami as they headed back to where Horsea was healing.

"Seriously Nami!" yelled Misty, "I know you need the money for your town, but even if you had that money how would you be able to use it?"

"Easy." Said Nami, "Buy things like nuggets and pearls then sell them back in our world. They should be worth quite a few berries."

"You already thought of it…" said Misty with a sweat drop.

"Actually." Said Nami, "I've already bought a few nuggets and plan to sell them when we get back."

"How did you get the money?" asked Misty.

"Meowth." Answered Nami with a sweat drop.

"Oh right… that's a stupid question…" said Misty with a sweat drop, "But we shouldn't be killing those Pokémon!"

"Why?" asked Ash.

"Because…" said Misty, "They're very beautiful Pokémon! The bright red spots on their heads are called the ruby of the sea…"

Ash took out his Pokedex and checked it and saw what they looked like.

"Who call them that?" asked Ash.

"Well I do…" muttered Misty glaring at them.

"Misty isn't going to give this up." Said Zoro, "Let's just no make her angry anymore."

"Didn't you used to be a bounty hunter?" asked Ash.

This just made Zoro sweat drop.

They got back to a kiddy pool where Horsea was relaxing with the two Pikachus.

"You're doing much better." Said Misty.

Horsea made some happy noises.

That was when a nearby announcing system came to life.

"Hello this is Nastina!"

"Great." Muttered Misty.

"As you may or may not know I'm having some problems with the Tentacool. Anyone who can eliminate them will get 1,000,000 Poke!" she announced, "Isn't Nastina generous?"

"People won't just do that…" said Misty.

"Are you sure about that?" asked Nami.

Before Misty could respond they were run over by a huge crowd of people.

They recovered and joined the crowd, which gathered around Nastina who was in a tank.

"All right! Who will be able to prove their worth?" asked Nastina.

That was when someone threw a rose with a suction cup on it to Nastina's tank.

Everyone looked the person who threw it expecting a man in a tuxedo and mask but it wasn't…

"Prepare for trouble!"

"And make it double!"

"To protect the world from deviation!"

"You unite the peoples within our nation!"

"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"

"To extend our reach to the stars above."

"Jessie!"

"James!"

"Team Rocket! Blasting off at the speed of light!"

"Surrender now and prepare to fight!"

"Meowth! That's right!"

"Team Rocket?" asked Ash.

"Aren't you dead?" asked Luffy.

"It's a long story on how we survived." Cried James.

"Look dealing with them isn't important right now!" yelled Jessie.

They started to take a deal with Nastina in order to be the ones to do it.

"This is going to end badly…" said Misty.

"I don't know about that." Said Zoro.

"What's that supposed to mean?" asked Misty.

"Look, we all know their incompetence will lead them to failing so let them do it and we'll worry about someone else trying to get rid of them." Said Zoro.

"He does kind of have a point… we don't need to stop them." Said Ash, "They're just going to stop themselves."

"It's not like it will go horribly wrong that will cause massive distraction." Said Luffy.

Sometime later…

It turned out Team Rocket's plan went horribly wrong and was causing massive distraction.

So Team Rocket decided to use a type of poison on them. After comply underestimating them causing the boat they were using to of course blow up, the poison they were going to use landed on them and not only made it evolve but turned it giant sized.

To be fair Tentacool are poison types.

Needless to say, Tentacruel started to lay waste to the city and it's inhabitants. Starting with the hotel.

"Oh no Tentacruel is in trouble!" said Misty as they watched this unfold.

Everyone else in the group slowly turned to Misty.

"Misty… that's a giant that's going to destroy the city… I don't think that's the one we have to worry for." Said Nami.

Misty would have responded it there were several crashes.

"I think it's going to cause a tidal wave." Said Brock.

"We have to get to higher ground." Said Zoro.

The entire town headed towards an observation deck to avoid the tidal wave while the Tentacool wrecked the town with their weird beam attack.

As Tentacool and Tentacruel destroyed the city Tentacruel held onto Meowth who was out of it.

And then a Tentacool got onto Meowth's head and was using it as a puppet.

"We are Tentacool and Tentacruel… humans have destroyed our ocean home and now will do the same!" said the Tentacool controlled Meowth.

Everyone watched in horror.

Okay! This is messed up!" said one random person.

"I know… the town is being destroyed." Said a person near them.

"No I mean! Where are the Tentacool getting these abilities? It doesn't make any sense." Said the random person, "Their poison types, not psychic types."

"Uh…" responded the person, "Huh…"

With Ash, Luffy, Misty, Nami, Zoro and Brock they all watch going on.

"You know what we have to do something." Said Luffy.

"They'll just attack us…" said Nami, "And you can't swim…"

"Oh yeah." Laughed Luffy.

"Why don't we just use our Pokémon?" asked Ash.

"Oh yeah!" said Luffy.

And so they sent out their Pokémon, Ash sending out Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Pidgeotto Squirtle and Butterfree out, Luffy sending out his Pikachu, Oddish and Totodile, Brock sending out Zubat and Zoro, Nami and Misty sending out all of their Pokémon (Charmander, Chimchar, Onix and Geodude shouldn't be battling water types).

Horsea also tried to talk it but Tentacruel just knocked it away.

They began to beat back the Tentacool. However Tentacruel tried to attack however both Pikachu (with Ash's riding Pidgeotto and Luffy's riding Scyther) flew up to talk to Tentacruel.

However as the two Pikachus were giving the speech Misty got away from the others.

"Tentacruel! Please stop!" said Misty.

Tentacruel turned towards her glaring.

"We know we wrecked your home, but this isn't the way to handle it." Said Misty, "You're only making it worse… and you proved your point. So please stop…"

The two Pikachus looked Tentacruel as it considered it.

"Fine, but listen well humans if this happens again we will not stop." Said the controlled Meowth.

Tentacruel threw Meowth away… turned out he landed in a spot where Jessie and James were.

As Tentacruel and Tentacool were leaving Nastina started to fire on them.

"yes… fire on the giant monster." Sighed Nami face palming.

Tentacruel just picked her up and tossed her away, ending up destroying a restaurant owned by her cousin of all people.

And so hours later they were back on a boat to the mainland.

"Well at least everything turned out in the end." Said Brock.

"Yeah… it could have ended a lot worse." Said Luffy.

"Hey Misty do you still think Tentacool are cute?" asked Ash.

"Sure do!" said Misty.

"Seriously?" asked Ash with a sweat drop.

"But I think Horsea is now the cutest!" said Misty.

She tossed Horsea's Pokeball into the air, catching it and giving Ash's trademark pose.

"Seriously!" yelled Ash, "That's my pose!"

"I have to try that net time." Laughed Luffy.

"Same here!" laughed Brock.

"Hey!" yelled Ash.

Team rock was also behind the boat in a barrel, of course they were unaware of this fact.

And so they managed to save Porta Vista… mostly… there was a lot of damage, but it could have worse though… so there's that…
