Three weeks of research and talking to Helena Ravenclaw, gaining her trust had been difficult but it had finally paid off for them they had decided to relax for a few days to try and not gain too much attention too quickly if anyone knew what they had found out from the ghost of Ravenclaw their whole plan would be hindered.
Hermione, Theodore, Aldrich and Tom were on their way to Charms when they stopped to watch Michael Alders as he did something peculiar.
Tom had pointed out that he was choking as he was walking towards the Charms classroom. As they stood observing him, he stopped walking and chewed on whatever was in his mouth, a happy expression came over him and he began to step towards the classroom again. Only to start gasping for air again.
"What is the idiot doing?" Aldrich questioned.
"I have no idea," Theodore said trying not to laugh as the Gryffindor stopped walking again to chew and then instantly started to choke again as he took a step.
"It looks as if he can't chew and walk at the same time," Hermione said, laughter colouring her tone.
The four Slytherins begin to laugh as he starts to choke, they have to hold onto one another when he stops and pulls a piece of gum from his mouth cursing at it.
"What's up Alders? Can't do two things at once? You're that much of an idiot?" Tom said, smirking as other students began to laugh around them.
"This is a stupid and dangerous muggle invention." Alders spat.
"I find it quite satisfying," Hermione said, crossing her arms over her chest.
"What did you do to me, Riddle? This is your fault. I know it is." Alders scowled at Tom.
"What is it that I'm supposed to have anything to do with?" Tom asked the Gryffindor.
"You've done something to the gum so I can't walk and chew so I look like a blubbering idiot," Alders stated.
"That's all you. He has nothing to do with the size of your brain." Aldrich added. All the students standing around were still laughing at the scene they had witnessed and the accusations he was making.
"I'll figure out what you did, Riddle. And when I do I'll make you pay."
"We don't take kindly to threats. Watch yourself, Alders." Theo growled.
Just as Alders started to respond they were called into class and forced to put their fight on the back burner. All anyone could talk about, even the older years, was the fact that one of the Gryffindors couldn't even manage to chew some gum while walking without making an absolute fool of himself.
Hermione wished she could pull the memories of the morning so she could bottle it and watch it over and over.

Hermione, Theodore, Aldrich and Tom finally got through the barrier to the corridor that was hidden on the fourth floor, finding the locked room gave them a sense of déjà vu, "Have we been here before?"
"I don't think so, but it seems familiar. How can that be?" Aldrich asked.
"Maybe it's time we start looking back over our old research and see what we have written about this corridor?" Tom suggested, all four already heading back to the Room of Requirement to do just that.
Hermione was the first one to find mention of the corridor, "Well we did find it and wondered how to open the door but we said we would start to research the other founders and then come back to the room once we had the full picture."
"How can that be?" Theo asked, "None of us remembers the corridor and writing that down but we did."
"Maybe there's some kind of amnesia spell on the corridor?"
"Makes us forget ever finding it and researching ways of opening it, it's possible. It would be a good way to keep the rooms hidden, we can't be the only ones to have come across one of the rooms over the centuries." Hermione said, standing she thought to herself about the kind of spell it would be and the room produced an old tome on the table they had set up for their research.
The four of them sat going through the book page by page until they came across the spell they were looking for: created by Rowena Ravenclaw, this incantation when cast over an area will cause the memories of the area to slowly drift away from the intended target so that they don't notice it disappearing until they come across the area again.
"Now that is a cool spell, maybe we can use this later when we have everything so that Dumbledore will never find out what we have found?" Hermione said.
"Let's learn it and perfect it so that when it becomes necessary we won't have to waste any time," Aldrich suggested.
They all agreed that it would be a good idea that they spend a few hours a week practising the spell and having this spell under their belts. They never knew when they would need to hide a full area.

Hermione and the three boys were trying to get as much research done while they still could, but end of year exams was taking up most of their time and they all knew there was no option of failing any of the exams. The older Slytherins had already started helping the younger years with study schedules and didn't leave much room for anything else.
An hour on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays were the only free time they had and even that was tightly controlled to try and have them not exhaust themselves before exams.
They had taken to sneaking away, one or two of the group heading towards the corridor and trying to break the lock on the door. Hermione had placed notes in their bags reminding them of Ravenclaws room so they didn't fully forget once the Amnesia spell took effect.
Helena Ravenclaw had become good friends with Aldrich and Tom and they had been working on getting how to get into the room out of her and whether she knew where the other founders rooms were.
Tom was getting worried as he had started to hear a voice coming from the walls of the castle calling to him, it didn't take long for Hermione and the others to figure out something was wrong with him and start to concentrate on what it all could mean. Why was he the only one that could hear the voice?
Why was it calling him to the girl's bathroom all the time? It was another piece of the puzzle that was the castle that they vowed to find out about and refused to let their friend suffer alone.
They would find out what it meant.
I hope you enjoyed xo!
