Chapter 5

KRINGG! KRINGG! KRINGG!

"Uh! Shut up!" Lucy shouts as she scrambles on her bed while trying to untangle herself from her duvet. When she was able to free herself from the comforter, she immediately slams the alarm clock off. Lucy then slumps back on her bed and stared at the ceiling, trying to remember what day it is.

"Right, it's Saturday," Lucy mumbles to herself before she sighs in exhaustion and then sits up on her bed. As she crossed her legs, Lucy looked around her surrounding, squinting her eyes in the process as she tries to adjust her vision to the morning light.

"How did I get here?" Lucy asked no one in particular before she looked down at herself and saw her current state, "AHH!" Lucy shouts as she began to pull up the comforter over her bare chest, covering every flesh that was exposed to anyone's eyes.

Lucy paused for a moment, trying to calm herself as she scans her bed for any unwanted body lying around. When she saw no one around, she quickly uncovers herself and saw that she was braless and only had her black lacy panties, "Why the hell am I not dressed?!" Lucy bellowed when suddenly she recalled an image of a pink-haired guy in a towel only. She remembers how the towel was hanging loosely and that it was about to fall off if the guy wasn't careful, "Oh my god! Natsu?!"

Lucy's eyes then grew wide as she recalled the night. Her memory suddenly came back as she remembers how she got drunk with him, how she spilled coffee over Natsu, and how she started undressing in front of the man.

"Shit," Lucy snapped to herself as she scrambles off the bed and quickly grabbed her robe to wear as she checks the house if the pinkette was still around. Once she stepped out of her room, she quickly scanned the living room, kitchen, and laundry area. The pink-haired businessman was no longer in sight. Unconsciously, Lucy sighed, whether, in disappointment or relief, she doesn't know.

Returning to her bedroom, Lucy lets out another sigh but this time in exhaustion. Having too many thoughts running in her head was exhausting. As she passes by her lamp, Lucy suddenly notices a yellow sticky note stuck on her lamp. Slowly walking towards it, she then thought that Natsu must have probably left a note for her. And as she had expected, the man did leave her something to read,

"It was nice meeting you

Luigi aka Lucy.

Don't be a stranger.

-ND"

Chuckling at the note, Lucy couldn't help but smile as she imagined the man saying the words to her in person. She found herself staring at the sticky note like she was memorizing it, word for word. Lucy finally chuckles as she felt a little relaxed knowing that Natsu didn't just leave. Although, that doesn't eliminate the idea that she and Natsu had slept together, given the state she was in when she woke up.

Lucy then pulls her drawer open on her nightstand and drops the note. For the nth time, she gave a last look to the note before she mumbles to herself, "Don't be a stranger yourself," Lucy then closes the drawer before stepping out of her room.

As she heads to her kitchen, she was surprised to see some cups were turned upside down, like somebody had left them to dry after washing. Lucy then scans her kitchen, wondering if Natsu left some note, and to her surprise, it was posted on her cupboards, saying

"I finished the remaining coffee in the cups and washed it.

Thanks

-ND"

Lucy then turns to lean over the countertop as she stares at the sticky note again. When she remembered that she had washed Natsu's clothes. So, instantly, Lucy headed towards her laundry area and finds another note by the washing machine. Snatching the note for the third time, she reads it aloud this time,

"Thanks for washing my clothes.

You spared me laundry this weekend. I'll get going now.

-ND"

Lucy suddenly chuckles at the idea of Natsu doing his laundry every Saturday. As her laughter slows down, she re-reads the note again and deduced something, "So, does it mean he left after his shirt was dry?" Lucy asked no one in particular.

With that note, Lucy tries to convince herself that the man left her house the moment he had his shirt cleaned. She reasons to herself; it would be impossible for her and Natsu to have slept together for a short period without falling asleep. Given that they were both exhausted and drunk, it would be too tiring if he suddenly leaves after sex. So, most probably, they did not sleep with one another. Finally, Lucy shrugs off her shoulder as she walks out of the laundry and headed back to her room to keep the notes. And just like the first note, she drops the note in her drawer before swiftly closing it.

"I need to run," Lucy utters to herself in a matter-of-fact tone and soon enough she started getting dressed for her morning jogs.

Saturday mornings for her always start with a jog. She wears her favorite hot pink sports bra, black running shorts, and pink and black Nike free run. Wearing her running exercise armband for her phone on her upper right arm and securing her Bluetooth earphones in her ears, Lucy starts her warm-up by jogging from her unit down to the lobby using the fire exit stairs. As soon as she reaches the lobby, she started speeding up her pace and did her usual running route.

Most of the time, in Lucy's schedule, she'd find herself inside a van, prepping for a photo shoot or a scene, and reading a script. So, jogging every weekend morning is something Lucy can consider a luxury. Jogging for her is something precious as it gives her something that she can never get on a daily basis. Aside from the health benefit of running, she feels like she's getting something more out of it than from any other relaxation methods her friends suggest. She finds it ironic, how running makes her out of breath but doing so is the only time she feels like she can breathe. Running for her feels like she's in control like everything is normal around her. People don't pay attention to her as she runs, so she feels like no one is watching her and expects her to be the person that everybody wants her to be.

As Lucy jog towards the nearest park to her condo building, her music suddenly stops as her mobile phone rings. Without slowing down, Lucy taps her wireless earphone on the right side of her ear and accepts the call.

"Hey, Lucy!"

"Hey," Lucy greets with a labored breath despite not knowing who her caller is, "Who's this?" Lucy raggedly asks as she kept her pace

"It's me, Lisanna," the person said back

"Oh, hey Lis! What's up?" Lucy immediately smiled

"I'm good! Never been better. And you?" Lisanna asks back, not bothered by Lucy's ragged breathing

"Um, yeah, good I guess," Lucy shrugs as she recalls her morning

"You guess?" Lisanna teased making Lucy chuckle, knowing that Lisanna is going to be digging up the events about last night

"Yeah…I'm just pretty surprised this morning," Lucy replies, slowing down a bit but still aiming to reach her endpoint

"Why? Is there something special this morning?" Lisanna inquired, beginning her investigation, making the actress smile as she imagines the look of her friend

"Not really…" Lucy then thinks for a moment if she's going to mention anything about last night at her home. But Lucy realizes she should keep it to herself first, "It's more of…realization of what happened last night,"

"Ohhh~, what happened last night?" Lisanna giddily asks

"Loke," Lucy simply replies and the silver-haired woman on the other line suddenly gasps

"He was at Fairy Tail too? What happened?"

"Obviously, we bumped into each other again…" Lucy then pauses as Lisanna gasps again, "But lucky me, Natsu was there,"

"Ha!" Lisanna cheers, "I knew it, it would work!"

Lucy then laughs as she imagines her friend cheering on her seat, "Yeah-yeah, you were right all along,"

"So, what happened? The exact thing!" Lisanna bellows as if she was deprived of the truth

"What do you mean?" Lucy suddenly asks, finding it odd to hear Lisanna's words

"Well, of course, I had to call Natsu and ask him," Lisanna replies, making Lucy raise a brow and suddenly felt curious about Natsu's version

"Oh? What did he say?" Lucy immediately slows down and stops just right in front of the park and tried to locate a more secluded area

"He didn't say much…" Lisanna then hummed in thought, "He just said that something came up last night and that you and he had to work together and solved a case,"

Lucy then laughs despite her labored breathing. Lucy grasps the strategy of Natsu. He intentionally conceals every detail that can be misunderstood. Especially by their silver-haired friend.

"What's so funny? Did Natsu lie?" Lisanna asks back as she recognizes the gleeful laughter of the blonde

"No-no, he didn't," Lucy exhaled deeply as she tries to catch her breath and reassure her friend while she paced back and forth, "He just didn't mention that the problem was Loke and that he and I had to make an improvision,"

"Improvision?" Lisanna repeats, with a glint in her tone, "What improvision did you two pull off?"

Lucy then hesitates as she tries to think of some other word for flirt, "…um, just a typical…duo thing,"

"Lucy, what is a duo thing?" Lisanna deadpanning replies, making Lucy wince as she didn't know what else to say

"Um…like what partners in crime do," Lucy scrunches her face as she scolds herself internally for her floppy excuse

"Okay, you just didn't answer my question, which makes me more curious as to what happened last night—so what happened last night?" Lisanna presses on, with more determination in her voice. Lucy suddenly felt panicky and speechless. She didn't really feel like telling the whole details to her friend because she felt like what happened last night was only meant for her and Natsu.

"Uhh…nothing really extraordinary," Lucy then exhales as she tries to sound confident and sure, "Just like a typical, pretending-protective-friend, who made an offense on my behalf,"

"Natsu insulted Loke?!" the silverette then yelps in amusement, "What did he say?"

"Well, it was kinda indirect…he called Loke a playboy actor and that made him irritated. Loke hates it when people call him a playboy," Lucy then grins at the memory of Loke's face being annoyed

"But he is," Lisanna reiterates, making Lucy laugh

"Exactly, that's why he hates it. He doesn't like his image being tarnished…oh, Lisanna if you could only see his face when Natsu made that comment. He was like—he wanted to punch Natsu," Lucy and Lisanna then laugh together, "He hated Natsu's guts, and I love it!"

"Oh my goodness! Why didn't Natsu tell me this?!" Lisanna bellows, scowling for a moment at the absent pinkette, "So what happened after? Did they fight?"

"Oh no, I quickly tried to stop that. I didn't want to make a scene,"

"Wow, coming from you who always makes a scene when Loke is around," Lisanna teased as Lucy rolls her eyes at her friend's comment

"To be fair, I have to make a scene before so that I could get away. But this time, I didn't need to get away. I had Natsu's back," Lucy then satisfyingly smiles

"So, what happens now with you and Natsu?" Lisanna asks

"That, I don't know…" Lucy then turns, thinking of running back to her condo building. So slowly, she began her pace and headed back home, "I don't even have his number to thank him again about last night,"

"What?!" Lisanna exclaims, "Why didn't you two exchange numbers?!"

"I got…pretty drunk…forgot to ask," Lucy sheepishly replies as she vaguely remembers her drunkenness

"So, he brought you home then he just left?" Lisanna asks, trying to get the picture right

Lucy thought for a moment if she'd tell her about the exact scenarios at her home, "…yeah,"

"Gosh, Lucy, I didn't know you'd get super drunk and forget that. I mean, that was the purpose of the meet up so that the two of you could have a direct connection and communication,"

"Well…when you get distracted and then suddenly solve a case, you just get excited to get drunk," Lucy then laughs awkwardly

"Alright, alright, I'll send his contacts to you. Please, don't forget to contact him," Lisanna sternly says before she chuckles along with the blonde

"Yeah, I promise," Lucy smiles softly as Lisanna replies to her in agreement. Lisanna then bids goodbye to her as the silverette has to start getting ready for her schedule, "Alright, see you soon too," Lucy replies before she speeds up her pace and heads back home.

After a good hour of jogging, Lucy was back at her condo, breathless and sweaty. Once she enters her home, she quickly goes to her bathroom and began to shower. With her brisk shower, Lucy came out of her bathroom wearing her most comfortable clothes. Soon enough, she grabbed her laptop and phone and started to head toward the kitchen. As she places her computer on her island table and taps a few buttons, her playlist for the day begins to play.

As the intro of the song begins, Lucy starts to sway her hips and then sang along to the verse, "All I know, I've been there before…" Lucy suddenly twirls as she stands before her fridge to open it, "but I ain't sorry, it's plain to see," she then abruptly opens her fridge and squatted down to grab her loaf of bread, "I just let go, let go, this time for sure, and in a blink of an eye," She then stood up and closed it before she turns to face the other side of her kitchen, "And yeah, I've made my mistakes, time to escape, please come and give it a try,"

Lucy then starts to lip-sync as the song begins its pre-chorus while slowly approaching her countertop. When the chorus begins, she started swaying her hips again as she began to start making her breakfast. As she was enjoying her music, her phone suddenly rings, indicating that she received a message. So, pausing for a moment in preparing her meal, Lucy approached her phone and tapped on it. She saw that Lisanna had sent her a link and then another message with capitalized letters, saying,

"LUCY! YOU'VE GOT TO READ THIS!"

"Hmm, maybe it's just another rumor article about me," Lucy mutters to herself as she shrugs her shoulder and ignores the urgency of Lisanna's message. She then returns to her cooking and finished making her French toast while dancing to the music.

When Lucy finished making her meal and starts to eat her breakfast at the island table, she finally grabs her phone to open Lisanna's message.

"Alright," Lucy sighs in exasperation and says sarcastically, "Let's see what version of the same rumor we have for today," she then clicks the link Lisanna sent as she takes a big bite of her toast. After reading a few lines in the article, Lucy's eyes suddenly widen, and stops chewing her food.

"What the fuck?" Lucy whispered softly, completely astounded by what she was reading. She then swallows her food and drank a good amount of coffee to calm her nerves, although she knew that it would just make her more jittery. Lucy then began to scroll down and continue to read the article, little by little making her more surprised by what she was reading.

Lucy then reads audibly, "Lucy Ashley being spotted in the infamous bar in Magnolia is nothing surprising. Even spotting her with her ex-boyfriend Loke De Leon is not something new. But seeing the actress with a new beau is something that is juicier. The Secrets-heroine had been in various rumors that she has been stalking the dashing actor and former partner, Loke. The series-princess [Lucy] has been spotted with him numerous times despite having broken up. Speculations say that the actress has been stalking and pretending that their sudden meetups are all coincidental. But many fans of Lucy believe that it was the other way around, as Loke is usually the one noted as the unexpected guest to those events."

Lucy then smirks as this is the first article that she reads that gives a perspective from her fans' side. She knew that her fans have been defending her, but for the past tabloids about her rumor, her fans' theories have always been ignored until this article comes up. She then continues to read,

"This theory may have some basis after all. After seeing Lucy Ashley with this handsome guy, leaving the Fairy Tail bar with the widest smile and very touchy with one another, no one would think that Lucy is there to follow around the orange-haired actor. Also, Loke was spotted leaving the bar scowling on his way out before spotting the possible new couple. This could only mean that rumors may not be true after all. I mean, who wouldn't get over a relationship if you were with a dazzling pink-haired man, that looks definitely cool and possibly hotter than we expect. Whether Lucy Ashley is dating this guy or not, it definitely breaks her rumors. Now, for sure, people are curious, who is Lucy Ashley's new beau?"

"Lucy Ashley's new beau," Lucy repeats, quite overwhelmed with the turn of events. She then scrolls down further and suddenly stops at a photo of her and Natsu's arms entwined while walking and smiling, as if they were laughing at a joke. Lucy then remembers the exact scenario. She asked Natsu if she could hold on to him and he flirtatiously said that no one would complain given that it was her.

Lucy then raises a brow in surprise as she recalls this. Then, she swipes to the left, and another photo of her and Natsu came up. They were overly close, with her standing by Natsu's motorbike and her arms around Natsu's neck, while his arms were around her waist.

"Okay, Lucy, when did we do this?" Lucy muttered to herself, surprised to see the quite intimate photo, "I don't recall being this close to him…" Lucy then blinked, trying to dig up her memory but couldn't recall the exact moment. She then swipes left again and sees a similar photo, but this time, Lucy was laughing as Natsu's face was dangerously close to hers. Suddenly, she feels like Natsu whispered in her ear, "Can't I be part of your special people?"

And with that, Lucy abruptly looked away from the photo as she feels her cheeks get a little warmer than it was. For some reason, she felt bashful, realizing now that when Natsu whispered that to her, he was leaning down, like he was about to kiss her. But she had stopped him by laughing at his comment.

"Huh," Lucy huffs in realization before she shrugs it off and looks down at the photo again, "Guess I was totally drunk," she then swipes again and began to laugh out loud. The last photo was Loke, who was obviously frowning, with his eyebrows all scrunched up. The orange-haired actor was definitely pissed off.

"Oh, I love this article," Lucy says as she shakes her head in disbelief and amusement, "I wonder who's the writer," She then scrolls further to the article, but the writer was kept anonymous, "Well, whoever you are, you just destroyed my rumor," Lucy then grins to herself as she felt pleased after reading the article and seeing the photos as proof.

Soon enough, Lucy stood up from her chair and started dancing on her kitchen floor along with the playing music. This is the first time she had felt happy again ever since that bad tabloid issue came up. Finally, she is no longer this 'obsessed-stalker-ex-girlfriend' that Loke's fans have been saying. She just broke the curse and now, she's free from bad press.

"Oh my god," Lucy suddenly stops dancing as she turns to look for her phone, "I gotta call Natsu. This is all thanks to him," she then fumbles with her phone and backreads Lissana's messages until she sees Natsu's contact number. Lucy immediately saves his number and tried to compose a message for him. But she couldn't find the exact words to tell him.

"No, I can't do this in text. I need to call him…" Lucy then starts to pace as she attempts to press the call button. But she couldn't press it as she felt a little worried. She didn't know exactly what to say, so she paced even more as she thought for a moment about what to tell.

"Hey, Natsu! It's me, Lucy, I just wanted to tell you that our plan worked!" Lucy then scrunches her face in distaste, "No—um…Hey, Natsu! It's me! Lucy! Guess what?! We're a couple!" Lucy immediately shakes her head in disagreement, "Okay, that's worse…" Lucy then bites her nail as she stopped in her pacing and tries to recall her and Natsu's conversation, "Shit…he wasn't into this…I've got to convince him,"

Finally snapping in annoyance, Lucy stomped her foot as she muttered, "Oh damn it, I'll just wing it…" She then presses the call button, put her phone by her right ear, and waited for the call to be answered by the pink-haired man.

"Mr. Dragneel, this is the revised marketing plan for the upcoming project next week of the Dragon Empire group" An aged man then hands a folder to Natsu who was reading a file in hand already. As Natsu takes the folder, he glances at the pie charts and brief descriptions to study the matter on hand,

"Mr. Atlas, what is the result last time-"

KRING! KRING! KRING!

Natsu was suddenly cut off in his sentence when his phone suddenly rings. It wasn't much of a surprise to everybody in his office to see Natsu's phone ring in the middle of their meeting. Seeing the reactions of the people around him, Natsu slowly takes his phone out. He gave a quick glance and see an unknown caller. Given that it was his business phone, Natsu immediately thought that this may be some overseas call from one of their international branches. So, without further ado, Natsu answers the call and presses the speaker on.

"Dragneel speaking" Natsu responds as he places his phone on the coffee table in front of him

"Oh umm…" a lady's voice came, making Natsu raise a brow as he couldn't remember any associate with a young female's voice. Most of his administrative colleagues were aged and their voices sounded a little raspy. So, hearing this woman's voice, which he may or may not be familiar with, made him feel curious and confused.

"…Um, it's Lucy…Lucy Ashley? I'm not sure if you remember me last night," everyone in the room then looks up at the young president and gave a startled stare at the surprised man, "Last night was pretty intense-" Natsu suddenly snatches his phone on the table and quickly unclicks the speaker mode. He immediately stood up, causing the papers on his lap to drop. But he couldn't care less, because Lucy was on the other line and people inside the room had just heard her talk about last night.

"Um…excuse me for a moment. I'll just…" Natsu then trails off, feeling more conscious about their stares. So, he bolted out of their sight, went inside his main office, and closed the door.

When Natsu was no longer within earshot of the executives, Natsu quickly puts the phone close to his ear and speaks, "Hello?"

"—and I just wanted to—hello?" Lucy suddenly stopped talking, as she realizes that Natsu just greeted her again

"Um…Hi, Lucy…" Natsu then swallows hard, quite unsure of how to start the conversation, "Um, I'm sorry, I wasn't listening,"

"You weren't listening?" Lucy repeated with annoyance in her tone

"Yeah…for a reason," Natsu suddenly fumbles with the end of this tie, glancing at his office door like anticipating that someone would burst in inside

"Reason? Okay—fine give me a good reason for not listening," Lucy replies, evidently pissed with him

"My phone was in speaker mode and…I'm in a meeting," Natsu then stayed silent as he heard the blonde actress gasp

"…What the hell, Natsu?! Why'd you put your calls in speaker mode?!" Lucy bellowed, completely feeling embarrassed

"Well, I thought you were a business-related call," Natsu defends

"Business related?! Wow! We seemed like we were going to be friends last night, but it seems that I'm only part of your businesspeople!" Lucy furiously shouts at the other end of the call, making Natsu wince

"Will you listen for a second?" Natsu retorts back, as he pinches the bridge of his nose

"Ha—okay, boss," Lucy sarcastically replies, making Natsu roll his eyes

"I thought you were a business-related call because you called me at my business phone number. I usually turn my speaker up if it's a business call, especially when I'm in a meeting," Natsu then sighs in agony, "Now, do you get my reason? I had to move quickly and turn off the speaker because you had to start your conversation about last night,"

"…oh my god," Lucy gasps again in astonishment, "I must have sounded like your one-night stand fling,"

"What? No…well, maybe a little, but I quickly turned it off, so they didn't really hear your whole speech," Natsu then scuffs his head in timidness

"But still! The fact that you left your meeting to take this call is giving the wrong impression!" Lucy then sighs out loud, definitely irked with the situation, "What are we going to do?"

"Huh? Don't worry about it…" Natsu shook his head as he can just imagine the look of the blonde, remembering how Lucy looked when she shows annoyance, "I'll just clarify it to them,"

"That's worse…" Lucy comments as she snickers in hopelessness and Natsu just sighs in defeat

"Well, anyways, so you called me…" Natsu starts, trying to make the conversation work, "What's up?"

Lucy sighs deeply before she answers, "Well…um…I just called you because I wanted to say thank you for last night,"

"Oh…uh, yeah. Um, you said that already last night, and I—I was grateful to help you," Natsu's face showed confusion as he remembers that Lucy had thanked him already. Calling him to say thank you again was quite a redundancy.

"Well, yeah, I did thank you last night about Loke…" Lucy then paused as she hears the pinkette hum in agreement, "But I'm thanking you now for a different reason,"

"Different reason?" Natsu echoes

"Yup…" Lucy quickly replies

"And what reason is that?" Natsu inquires, still getting confused

"Do you remember what we talked about last night? About Lisanna's plan?" Lucy questioned, making the pinkette think momentarily before he agrees, "Apparently, it works…well, for my part…because you and I are involved in a new rumor,"

"Rumor?" Natsu repeats, unconvinced, "What rumor are you talking about?"

"Well, technically, you're not named…but you have become my new beau," Lucy then tightens her lips in anticipation of Natsu's reaction

"New beau? What's that?" Natsu confusingly questioned, completely lost in the conversation

Lucy was then stunned that Natsu wasn't familiar with these social media terms, "Um…like a…admirer? or lover?"

Natsu then laughs at Lucy's explanation, which made Lucy raise a brow at his boisterous laughter, "I'm your new lover? And how did that happen?"

"Well…" Lucy suddenly felt annoyed that Natsu was making her sound like she was being ridiculous, "Apparently, I was right that there were paparazzi outside the bar and saw you and me together,"

"So?"

"Well, I'm an actress," Lucy's voice was now pissed, "and any guy who is seen with me can become my new beau. Sadly, it had to be you,"

"Sadly?" Natsu amusingly repeats the blonde's description

"Yeah," Lucy irately replies, "So don't sound like I'm the desperate one, seeking your attention, cause I'm not,"

Natsu then chuckles, hearing that the blonde woman is deeply annoyed with him again, just like last night, "Okay-okay, calm down-"

"I'm calm," Lucy quickly cuts off, making Natsu chortle again at the similarity of their conversation

"Right, of course, you are…" Natsu exhales for a second before he continues, "Okay, so I guess, I'm glad for you that you have a…new rumor,"

"Well about that…" Lucy suddenly bites her lips, "I need to keep this rumor to remain…"

"Why? Shouldn't you want to be free from tabloid issues? I mean, you're caught up in another dating-relationship issue,"

"I know…it's not the ultimate goal, but I need this rumor to achieve that goal of getting rid of all negative issues about me and Loke," Lucy then sighs, "So…I need your help,"

Natsu was then silent, contemplating the implication of this rumor to his life. In all honesty, he's willing to help the actress, but getting involved with this setup can bring a lot of consequences. And dragging her into a situation that she may not like is not something Natsu wants.

"I'm grateful that this diversion helped you but…I still think it's stupid," Natsu then paused, as he listens to Lucy's breathing

"But it works…So, if it works for me, then probably, it will work for you too. We'll just-"

"No," Natsu interjects, "Um, it has nothing to do with you. I just can't put you in a situation that you'll regret later on,"

"Trust me, Natsu, I can do it," Lucy then chuckles, trying her best to sound confident, despite being unsure of what Natsu really meant, "You know what, let's talk about it personally,"

Natsu huffs a laugh as he can see the determination of the blonde woman, "Are you still trying to convince me? Because I'll just say no to whatever proposal you've got,"

"Clearly, Natsu, you don't know me well yet. I can make every 'no' turn to a 'yes'," Lucy then smirks to herself

"Well, I doubt that…" Natsu then sighs in defeat, "But fine, let's talk about it personally,"

"Great! So, let's meet at the Blue Pegasus Café. What time will you be free?" Lucy asked as she glances at her wall clock

"I still have a meeting ongoing, which most probably annoys my admins while they wait for me to end this call…how about three hours from now?"

"Alright, that's fine!" Lucy chirped optimistically

"Okay, great,"

"Great! See you later, bye!" and with that Lucy ends the call

Looking down at his phone, Natsu couldn't help but shake his head in disbelief. Just like last night, he couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by this woman. Lucy is such an ecstatic woman that sometimes he wonders if he can handle her. But to be honest, he sees his old self in her, something that made him miss his old life. Natsu then mumbles to himself, "You are one hell of a woman, Lucy," then he walks towards the door and put on his serious-impassive expression again before returning to his meeting.

To be continued…
