Metallic Need
Season 2: Chapter 3
By: Cutegirlmayra (So, a lot of readers have recently been asking for updates XD I'm working haaaarrddd on lots of commissions! And I have a job now too! But fear not, I never leave a story undone! It's against my nature~ lol I did some songs for Metallic Need, season 2 now has it's theme song! Unfeeling is on Tumblr, if you're curious :)c and a few people have even made fanart of Neo Metal Amy! 8w8 they are precious. Here's to another chapter and may my insanity drive your curiosities further!)
As the sirens still bounced their lights in continual, rotating flashes against the bluish steel walls a crash of slashed metal ripped through the barriers like paper. The metallic claws shredded a path for itself before firing an electrical pulse like small, jagged streaks of lightning towards the light source and blasted the sirens off, exploding them on impact.
It moved around and sparked the now dead siren case like a plasma ball toy before all light ceased in the room.
Neo Metal Sonic's eyes, like a beckon in the dark, blared red and turned back to the hole in the once barricaded steel wall. "Who could have thwarted my security?" he almost spoke as if sarcastically, scanning and using his computers to pick up an identity in the black, it's signals mixed and messed up. His mind's eye had a screen that was displayed upon his eyes, but to the outside, one couldn't see it. He saw the waves in the lower right box of a signal go distorted,... it wasn't organic, but it was a strange robotic signal.
So... Not Sonic and his friends?
He turned then, "There." He sped through the darkness, succeeding in pushing the entity back and sparking its form into light.
In that brief moment of vision... his eyes widened from their narrow curve as what appeared to be a pink him looking back.
Then the light was gone.
"Impossible." he pulled his hand back but was suddenly grabbed and thrown into the control panel. "What!?" He slammed into the now sparking equipment.
"SYSTEM REBOOTING, BACK-UP POWER ENGAGED." The computer's voice declared, suddenly shining light from the monitors. The teal blue resonated against the figure that moved slowly away from him, as though to show it's true form.
As he moved his hand to grip the side of the control panel, lifting himself up from being thrown onto it, his back faced the three computers... some he previously destroyed before and seeing it's glitchy light statically reveal a silhouette of long, spiking points that then angled down to a circular but tall metallic body.
Its color... Pink... "It can't be."
His disbelief was soon expelled as the figure's eyes flickered green... then turned a pinkish red.
"Yes." It responded, and it's voice... although distinctly familiar, sounded much more mature and refined now. "I've come to take the power you stole from me."
The red in her eyes blazed the same as his then, an intense, magma red...
Rising back to placing his feet on the ground, he took all of her in. "...Mimicry is the purest form of flattery..." He teased, but it was only a ruse to keep her at bay as he examined her new form.
"...I'm impressed." His voice seemed to hiss that out, as though a computer blowing out air. He was clearly upset she had escaped but enjoyed the new turn of events just as much as his hatred of her being out of her cage soared throughout his metal casing. His eyes, still having the blinding red beam, now revealed each location he was scanning on her.
She held her ground, allowing him to see her reinvention. "Then you must truly hate Sonic The Hedgehog... seeing as you admiringly keep his form so well intact." she narrowed her eyes, insulting his pride and hinting at his jealousy...
His eye-lights, like fire rising in intensity, skimmed up towards her face, covering her in red.
"The only reason I'm not tearing into your poor excuse for an uprising is because I find this mildly amusing..."
Her look was of a plated dress that was held by a looping black waist, enabling her to bend with ease but still retain a womanly figure. Her circular chest was now slightly dipped in, making it appear more like a protruding, fatted diamond-chest that had crossing pieces of rubber-like, slick black fabric that glistened in lines from the lights reflecting on it. They flared down by her waist into a spread train cloak, matching his own aesthetic. The black cloak held a regal look that mimicked a runway with her spiked heels but flatted, raised bumps for metallic boots.
They were also open-ended towards the top, flaring out but creating a sharp spike in the front, then a set of connecting, flexible metal joints that made her legs. She was built to withstand, but also to look good while doing so.
Her shoulder pads also angled in spikes, another sign of regal poise but with an added villain's height. Her hooped lower-half had an almost tank-like appearance to its alloy seams, but it was clear it could rotate out like her previous life's battle forms, and she still carried the white-edged line of Amy Rose's dress but with added 'licked' white flame-like designs.
Red, pink, and steel grey... her eyes now had two extended wires that sparked with electricity ringing through them like curved metal forks, meant to mimic eyelashes. Her bangs were still large and sharp, fatted shard polygons, but now had the curving signature of flames running along them to match Neo Metal Sonic's long diamond streaks. Even her dress's plating had the same curving and wispy flame-like diluted white... so it seemed the silver and white matched in looks. However... the silver in her hair and head seemed grayed in light sprinkles of ash which made them shine like silver paint. The boots and other places of white that Amy Rose's look had still shown but with the licks of flames.
Her bracelets held almost Frankenstein nails on the sides with spikes lining the exterior all the way around, able to generate electricity through them too. The nails mimicked the two on the side of her white, slightly bulging neckline to reflect Amy's dress, and on the sides of her cheeks. Her nose was more fatted but still sharp-pointed, like a stretched nail as though still attempting to keep the overall, finishing look feminine in style to organic differences in male and female species. Electricity glowed through some of the paneling of her wide dress that spread up her body to reveal an electric core unit that seemed to be allowing her multiple battery storage to also project electricity out as a weapon.
Unlike Neo Metal Sonic's star-shaped design, hers was as though Amy Rose's quills were pulled up and angled back slightly... suspended brilliantly in the air.
Although... his eyes were transfixed on the fact... that even in this design... she still wore her plated slate on her steel mouthpiece...
It wasn't so pronounced, though. It was dipped more down closer to where a chin might reside... so well hidden. What could that entail?
All the wrong things to Neo Metal Sonic...
"My design was still superior." Like a child, mocking her attempt at his brilliance, he gave her a sly look with a tilt of his eyelids. "Why are you risking the possibility of forcing me to make your pathetic existence even more miserable?" as though playing on her obvious spite, he held a relaxed state, trying to appear unfazed by her previous taunt.
"In your previous lives, you could record data, then use an ability to replicate even the appearance of that which you copied." She explained, "Is this not my shape-shifting? Your modified and advanced flexible alloy is now used for my purposes!" she liquidized metal from her being and shifted it into her hammer, moving the glistening metal up her forearm to solidify it in her hand as a powerfully metallic, large hammer. "Prepare to cease to exist, Neo Metal Sonic!" large, cylinder jets from beneath her dress and to the sides of her legs angled up to blast powerful fire out from behind her, propelling her towards him.
"Lives?" He bemused, lowering his eyelids as though affectionately pointing out her flawed language. "It really is you..."
However, in her other hand... he noticed the blue pest.
"So that's how..." he wasn't able to finish his sentence as he had to dodge, and quickly did so by speedily activating his engine and carelessly put his hands behind his back to turn from her attack. "Pitiful." He continued to dodge and weave as she swung her hammer repeatedly. "If you had kept any scrap of intelligence left in this new craft of yours... you'd have realized that Amy Rose could never stand to face Sonic's mobility." he held up his deadly, clawed hand... revving his engine forward to strike at her.
But the metal couldn't pierce her, and his claw scratched off her hide with glorious sparks that didn't even leave a scratch.
His eyes widened in absolute rage.
Neo Metal Amy broke her speed as she slowly turned her head up to his, halting quickly to pivot a terrifying look up at him, suspended above her in the air. "Too bad... I used your own metallic chemical compound to craft my art." She knew he was mocking her, and she wouldn't allow it this time, even going so far as to call herself a work of art. She swung her hammer into his side and caused him to crash and roll against the ground.
His nails gripped into the floor, piercing it like a shark to the surface of water, which is what he was expecting to happen when he tried to slash into her...
He came to a gradual stop, the force so great that it had practically pushed him halfway across the room. He glared, looking at his hand and then back up at her, "So... you figured it out."
"I knew you weren't using the same, perfected metal alloy you used on yourself for your supports." She held up a hand, revealing that she had stolen his own personal metal formula in making her new self. "You were so arrogant... you kept us all inferior on purpose!" she held up her hammer, swinging it to build momentum and charging her jets again. "You can't rip me apart like before! That must be destroying you on the inside!" she tore through the air, causing her hammer to fling back as it didn't have the necessary aerodynamics to keep up with the rest of her arrow-like body. However, the giant wind blast from the hammer seemed to be an added attack, and even the eyes could see the wind force would be too great to simply jump to the side or above her and dodge it.
It was purposefully made to withstand a counter-attack, the hammer would send the force into a maximum ranged attack if anyone tried to move out of its reach.
"...A minor setback." He figured he had no choice but to take the brunt of the hammer, then fight the added wind force through his jets. He held a cross with his arms over his head and then shoved into the hammer blow, at least attempting some defense. It created a wind blast that shattered every piece of glass in the room, raining as twinkling shards in the flickers of glitching blue light.
"You forced us into a standstill." He admitted, "How well thought out." He joked, mocking her intelligence again as he shoved the hammer upward with his arms, then rammed his head into her own, pushing her back as he continued to hit and try and at least leave a mark on the alloy.
However, it was no good. No matter how much he hit or tried to tear into her being, she was well intact, not even a sign of his repeated struggles to even dent her.
"I wanted to see your devastation." She tilted her head back to him, and he realized she was letting him attack her... just to prove a point.
He removed himself from the hopeless attempts and flicked his arm, revealing a laser with duel missiles and launched them at her. She remained still, though was hit back a few times by the missiles exploding.
Still... not a scratch.
With that intense look in her dotted neon eyes... she walked back into place, as though taunting him to hit her again.
He pumped his arm and it transformed back into his normal arm cuffs,... then just stared at her.
"At a loss for words now,... Master?" She continued to advance on the insults, "You aren't even worthy enough to be called that... Or maybe, the master of failures." A metallic screech, almost like a paused computer noise seemed to echo forth from her and collide in clashes around his head...
"...I'm a robot." He stated then, rising his being above her own in a position of power. "I don't feel devastation... I deliver it." He shot forth at her, and once again, they fought in a futile struggle to end the other.
"You have lost all that I once gave you." he began, having his metal clank against her hammer's blows and reaching for what appeared to be a deactivated Omochao in her grasp. "He has made you simple!"
"You think I didn't plan on this!?" Neo Metal Amy lifted her leg up, spinning into a roundhouse kick that slammed him down to the ground, then rose Omochao's husk into the air, "I have far worse plans for you, Neo Metal Sonic... You will finally feel what it's like... to be powerless!" Giving him what he wanted, she readied herself to deliver just that: Devastation. At last... for so long... her revenge would finally be justifiable and completed!
As she rose the robotic husk back, a thwomp came from one of the steel barriers that hadn't been ripped into yet.
Their heads turned to it as Neo Metal Sonic took the opportunity to slowly reach for her foot keeping him pressed down, the added force of her jets making the resistance too difficult to pull off an escape without being detected in time.
However, he did get a hand on her and noticed she didn't react to it. '...Where are her antennas?' He thought to himself as she should have artificially sensed vibrations on her ankle where he gripped the foot, hoping to slide it off in her momentary distraction. However, it was clear she didn't 'feel' anything... To test this, he tapped the foot slightly, but the vibrations did nothing to alert her... 'Has she removed them?' this was interesting to Neo Metal Sonic, it meant she didn't want to feel... what could that mean?
'Has she finally rejected the error of trying to become organic?'
"Omochao!"
Tails's voice broke through her berserk state, and her arm slowly came down as her eyes widened.
They hadn't seen her in this form yet.
They didn't know... Her.
She suddenly looked over herself, realizing the situation, and holding out her hammer with her fingers up, trying to get them to stop. "No... They won't understand." she looked conflicted, looking to Neo Metal Sonic and then seeing Amy Rose hit the barrier down with one last Piko-Piko smash.
"Ha...Ha... Omochao?" She breathed heavily a moment, her knees bouncing with the motion as it seemed to have been a great difficulty to barge through the steel wall and get it off it's hinges. She tried to peer into the flickering, sparking room... covered mostly in the shadows of illuminating screen-blue light, only to see two figures in a frozen, mid-brawl. She recognized the similar look of Metal Amy in this other one, but then saw the limp, metallic rag-doll chao in her arms. "Noo..!" she ran forward, tears breaking from her worried eyes. She charged Neo Metal Amy, and the sight of her beloved heroine coming in to strike her almost broke Neo Metal Amy entirely.
"Please, I'm-!" she shifted her weight, and Neo Metal Sonic took the opportunity, looking to her and then her leg, before completely turning her to fall on her back. A robotic sound escaped her, like a person getting hit would say, 'offph!' but instead, it was a vibrative veering of mechanical noise. "Veev-vv-veerr!"
Amy stumbled, swinging only at air as she hopped on her foot, "Woah, woah, woah..." she turned around then and re-balanced herself. "Give us back Omochao!" she held her hammer at the ready, as the others entered the scene and looked ready to fight too.
"So, he made another M.A too." Tails concluded, "And she looks a lot more like him..."
"Pah, we'll finish them off! Come at me, Metal Scum!" Knuckles practiced a few hits and then held his arms out to his sides, ready to engage both of them.
"Heh, still pretty lonely, eh, Metal me?" Sonic smirked, sticking his head as close to the battle as possible, showing his eagerness to go at it.
Neo Metal Sonic was ticked off, but having so much 'company' during a 'private affair' was not really what he wanted at the moment.
He hadn't anticipated this...
Instead of anger, his eyes showed annoyance, but Neo Metal Amy looked shocked, blinking, and turning to him. "You..." he had moved her from getting hit... but that was illogical, he was probably just wanting to destroy her himself. She fought his hand off of her leg and moved to get up, but he had successfully pulled away from her and looked to the others, getting up on a knee.
Neo Metal Amy could tell they were all just worried about her... about...
She looked to Omochao in her hand... the horrible plan she had put into it...
She held out the hand with Omochao in it to Amy, "Please, Amy Rose... I would never harm you." her voice sounded so full of sorrow, as though her robotic being was quaking at the sight of Amy wanting to fight her. "I'm..." she couldn't say it. It was too difficult, she didn't want to admit it. That was just another life now... a happier life. One... she could never return to.
Or so she thought.
"I'm Neo Metal Amy, now." She spoke as though pleading for mercy from Amy, for that acceptance she once gave her so long ago. Completely ignoring the others, Neo Metal Amy took a step towards Amy, who seemed confused and trying to understand her words. "It's me... It's who I must be now." Her body bent in, trying to show a lower stature to Amy, seem less threatening, even in this new and extremely powerful form... she didn't want Amy to be afraid of her. She didn't want any one of Sonic's friends to be afraid of her..!
Her memories of Omochao were so great... so beautiful, as a robot could perceive it. It was everything freedom was meant to be... but in a body that couldn't do anything. She didn't want to be powerless anymore, without hope or mercy in her existence. Amy Rose... she was the one who freed her, her acceptance meant everything to her.
If she could just accept Neo Metal Amy now... maybe... just maybe... Neo Metal Amy could have the love from the organics that she desperately desired for so long.
But she was different now, she didn't want to lose what Omochao had, but she didn't want to revert to that way of life again. She remembered how they grew frustrated with her constant help, how they turned from her or fanned their hands to 'shoo' her off when she tried.
It wasn't her existence, but her 'sister' chip that experienced it.
She didn't want to serve anymore... she wanted to be the one that was served.
Amy Rose took a hard look at her, seeing the similarity but still unbelieving. But her eyes softened when she heard the simulated emotion from her voice, and the way her body leaned forward, begging her to understand, and so... she lowered her hammer slightly.
"Is that... really you in there, M.A?" She cautiously reached a hand out, and in delight, Neo Metal Amy moved to put her cheek into the squishy and caressing organic hand she remembered from Omochao's memory bank. Neo Metal Amy put Omochao up near her chest as though clutching her heart in the happiness at having Amy there, but then moved it quickly away, as though almost doing something very, very bad. She looked down at Omochao, then shook her head as though remembering something.
She nodded to Amy but then stepped away, "Sorry... I will happily take your hand in friendship again, Amy Rose, but I must first do something vital to my new life's happiness!" she turned back to Neo Metal Sonic, her entire form shifting back into that once hostile robot again. "I must put an end to his metallic tyranny... I will destroy Neo Metal Sonic once and for all!" she threw up Omochao again, and this time, Amy thought she was going to smash Omochao to the ground.
Rushing up to her hand, Amy grabbed it, trying to counterweight the arm but ended up just getting lifted up off the ground as well, tucking her knees in. "No, don't!" she shrieked, not wanting to see her beloved friend tossed and possibly broken. Amy couldn't pull Neo Metal Amy's arm back but was able to get her to lightly lower her arm further back so she could land, which in turn, prevented Neo Metal Amy from letting her unleash the deadly fate she had stored inside Omochao...
"Amy Rose, stop, you don't understand!" Neo Metal Amy turned, faking playing tug-o-war with her now. She didn't want to appear more powerful than Amy, though it was clear that Amy's attempts only tugged the arm but it didn't budge in releasing Omochao's deactivated body. "You must not take this from me!" she once again tried to explain, but to do so would lead Neo Metal Sonic onto her plan, and she couldn't allow it.
"This is you, you're Omochao!" Amy didn't understand, the pain... the torture... Her vengeance! "You can't just throw him away!" Amy shook her head, gripping her hand with Omochao in it, refusing to let the little robot go.
"I can't be him anymore!" Neo Metal Amy also mimicked her and shook her head, showing that she wouldn't—no, couldn't—let her plan go. However, at the same time, she could never hurt Amy Rose,... flinging her off would go against her great admiration of her. For all she's done for her... "You cannot stop me from this, Amy Rose. It must be done, I cannot let him hurt anyone else ever again!" she refused to fight against Amy, but would also not loosen her grip on Omochao...
Neo Metal Sonic recognized something then, not so much paying attention to her persistence in retaining the blue insect's body, but more so how she was responding to Amy Rose.
Her hunched stature... her delicate way of addressing her,... even the way she submitted to her outstretched hand... all the signs of wanting to be-
"Of course..." his eyes blazed an envious hue of striking red. Her systems were all reacting to Amy as her obedience programming would once do in correlation to him...
"You shouldn't become this, it's not you!" Amy also pleaded, tossing her hammer as it hit the ground behind her in added thumps, but then poofed out of reality as she continued to try and pull against Neo Metal Amy's incredible strength to take the Omochao husk out of her hand. It was tugging on a steel beam... and although Amy was powerful and had snapped metal beams before with her bare hands, she also didn't want to hurt Neo Metal Amy. "You're not like him!" she started to tear up again, worried that Neo Metal Amy was becoming a deadly robot again... "You were never like him!"
Neo Metal Amy's eyes bent, it conflicted her to see Amy Rose so upset...
She gently removed her thumb from the robot chao... as though desperately wanting to comfort her by submitting and appeasing her... but instead, her twitching thumb opted against it, and lovingly rubbed Amy's hand lightly, as she now had to adjust her force and weight of the thumb to not injure Amy Rose. Coaxing her into allowing this, she also relaxed her body's tenseness, trying to appear more delicate towards her saving grace. "Please... Amy Rose, you must understand..." She softly lowered her head to Amy's teary one.
Neo Metal Sonic's whole being raged, seeing her wanting acceptance from an organic. Serving and asking permission from an organic!
She was a robot, of course, she wanted to serve. She was built to please a master's needs. Robots were usually built to be commanded and to do tasks that would satisfy their master's reason for crafting their existence. She wanted to be allowed permission to do what she wanted... which was odd, but it was still her obedience programming still intact, no doubt about it. Robots have to have a purpose, her primary objective was to serve him. Was she, now with her base more his own Metal Amy's design and not the inferior Omochao's... was that her ultimate doom? Retaining the version he owned?
Was she some sort of... "Hybrid." he concluded, realizing what she must have done to create her escape from his programming.
However, keeping her previous mind and functions over her escaped—free—sister's functions...
He mentally was laughing, knowing exactly how to manipulate this situation now. 'Poor thing... if she had just kept her Other's initially and far less superior base format... she would have truly made me work to secure her again.' this was all too amusing for him. He hadn't felt such excitement in a long... long time.
Even having Sonic in the room now... it wasn't nearly as thrilling as having this Metal Amy back. He could see the surviving parts of her, and how he longed to rip them out of her again..!
Amy finally made contact with her eyes, and Neo Metal Amy bent them even more in, tilting her head slightly and nodding to convey sincerity as her heart program influenced her to do so. "I must do this, for all living things... and especially you, Amy Rose." the way she said her name... it filled Neo Metal Sonic with envy.
Amy stopped struggling, seeing the rubbing of her metallic thumb, feeling the slight pressure from it, and realizing this meant a lot to M.A...
"You... You're going to tear him apart?" She seemed so afraid... that the Metal Amy she befriended would so easily turn back to violence. She didn't want to believe that her gentle, longing to feel emotion and real friend could revert into a robotic terror. She could never see her as that, and she didn't want to believe it could be happening now.
"...No." Neo Metal Amy looked down, "I have something else in mind... something so torturous to his ideals... so humiliating to his lust for power and dominion... it will break him at his core." Her eye lights blared, which frightened Amy again. "I will never be helpless again."
"So..." Neo Metal Sonic, ignoring her vain and foolish threats, slowly rose from the ground as the Sonic Team readied themselves against any move he may try and take.
"...You have a new master now?"
"Amy! Get away from them!" Sonic cried out, swinging his arm as he recognized the hostility the two were showing to one another, "It's not safe!"
Neo Metal Amy turned in a hunched pose, her eyes wild with the light of violence. Her whole body twitched and Amy was forced to remove her hands, seeing as they dented Omochao's form from their rage. Even the thumb that was once soothing Amy was now twitching, and once her hand was removed, it pierced into the body of the small machine...
No one could notice... but micro-signals began to leak from the hole in Omochao's hide...
Amy's eyes widened in terror, her hands, previously clinging to Omochao—a form she had come to love—were now trembling.
"M.A..." she looked with compassionate eyes to her friend. "No, I won't leave her! I saved her once, I can do it again!" Amy declared, and Neo Metal Sonic's memory suddenly connected the dots.
"...Yooooou!" His eyes rose to Amy, though he was purposefully trying to enrage Neo Metal Amy to focus on him again, he hadn't realized until now that it was Amy who had stolen his creation in the first place. "It was you who captured her?!" He looked to Neo Metal Amy, then to Sonic. "I had always thought... you captivated her... but now..." His jealousy towards Sonic was suddenly immediately replaced with a heightened sense of hate for Amy Rose. "So... your loyalty was never to any Sonic... but to your own..."
"I have no master!" Neo Metal Amy swung her hammer out, protecting Amy Rose.
Just like her programming... he thought it all so ironic. Of course, she would treat Amy Rose as her new master... She couldn't truly escape her programming. Tails probably could only manipulate and delete what he understood, his added inputs only created a channel for Neo Metal Amy to escape his supreme control over her. If Amy Rose was inputted into her barely surviving obedience software... and now mixed with his own Metal Amy's software as well... it would make sense how her fascination with her turned into her own salvation...
She wanted to protect her master... how fitting.
It was genius. Swapping one piece of code to input a new identity into the slot, making sure to retain functionality without glitching... When did this all happen? When did her heart program grow so strong that it rewrote her own code? Or, with the help of the inadequate fox boy's insect body, she was able to repurpose herself to fully free her errors into the most they could possibly express themselves. But had she thought of it? Had Neo Metal Amy... so many years ago... knew that?
"You've taken to your inferior..." He shook his head, "How foolish... how naive... I didn't create you to calculate so... poorly..." he lifted up a hand, "You can't even recognize your added errors to your logic. Your increasingly irrational self has only proven to me how truly flawed you've become."
"I won!" She declared, "I've become my own master!" She was about to strike but Amy held her hammer back, and she paused, unable to put her in the line of fire.
"Don't! Please!" Amy cried out, and Neo Metal Amy looked back to her. "You don't need to be a master or be a master of anything! You're just you! You make up your own mind and your own decisions! And you're not an evil robot!"
Neo Metal Amy once again couldn't bear to see Amy Rose so distraught, but she also had another part of her fighting, wanting her perfect revenge.
'She's right... She's always been the right course of action.' A voice from her past seemed to speak up again, and she knew it was her sister's programming influencing her. 'If you truly want to become someone... Become Amy Rose. If not, then don't become something so opposite of her... that you lose everything you've ever wanted...'
Almost as if complying, Neo Metal Amy's eyes flickered green and remained there a moment. She lowered her stance, disengaging, it appeared... but it was a slow process.
Neo Metal Sonic could see her submitting, however, Neo Metal Amy wasn't going to just back down without more resistance. She could never let what he did to her pass by as a scar in time... after all, robots don't get injured like that, they get even...
But he didn't know that...
Now seeing the programming still well in place in a lightened model of his original coding...
She was using her functions as best as she could, but programming wasn't easy to beat, and she was obeying Amy Rose...
Although there was a clear struggle, he had hope that her functions would mean she would return to submitting to him again, he just needed to find a way into her brain...
"Your respect for her... it's far more than Sonic's." His rage was spiking though, seeing her loyalty to a pathetic organic. His hand twitched, thinking this whole time it was Sonic's influence that made her leave him, made her desert him,... Abandon her programming entirely.
But this was so much worse... she abandoned him for a weaker life form? A pathetic entity he didn't even know what rational function to place her in when thinking of his theory that Sonic's power came from his friends.
Was this it? Was this Amy Rose's power?
"To take the hearts of those who have lost their own... or have none." He spiked his claws into a sharp dagger, "How interesting..." He glared at Amy. "If She's not your designated master... then you wouldn't mind if I drilled a hole in her skull, and eliminated any unnecessary competition,... would you?" his fury was so great, uncompromising by the fact that he had lost to an inferior life-form such as Amy Rose..!
He had lost to Sonic countless times, this was no different. He had once thought he defeated Metal Amy but was glad to see he could still delight in the pleasure of destroying her again and having another struggling creation under his control once more... but this... this was worse than if Sonic had stolen Metal Amy from him...
This was utterly degrading!
Despicable! Pitiful!
He could not stand the notion that he had lost to Amy Rose.
The shame, the disgrace, the embarrassment!
He was going to mutilate her corpse with his own hands!
Writhing in anger, he bolted towards her, bent on murdering her for stealing his creation of Metal Amy, but Sonic was just as quick!
He moved so fast, Neo Metal Sonic could see the movement out of the corner of his eye and tried to slash at him as well. Sonic tumbled over it, rolling and then standing protectively in front of Amy as Neo Metal Amy dashed in front of the two and held her hammer up, feeling his maddened force jam into it as she intercepted his murderous rampage from commencing forth.
She pushed back against it, but his power was making her whole form shake. It certainly was in nick of time, and in amazement, even Sonic looked stunned at her actions.
"You..." Neo Metal Amy's head dipped slightly, fighting against his force.
"Will not harm..." Her voice seemed to rise in volume, even so much that her own speaker seemed to quake as she spoke.
Neo Metal Sonic was also wide-eyed at the fact that her whole body began to spark with electricity, so much so, that he wasn't used to such intense shocks.
"What power is..?" But he wasn't able to finish his sentence of disbelief, flinging his head back.
"AMY ROOOOSE!"
Her eyes reverted back to a brightened red, and like a sparking comet, she drove him into the corresponding walls. Metal flew everywhere from around them as his inner-wires were being electrocuted from her high voltage attack. Even his own metal plating was starting to explode off as she propelled him through multiple, heavily compacted steel walls that their beings could rip through easily with enough force. It was truly terrifying, seeing how much durability and strength these two possessed...
'Impossible..!' his body couldn't expel enough of the electricity that she was shoving into him, especially being fully charged already, and continued to beat him all the way through the base until crashing into the repair room.
As he collided to the ground, Neo Metal Amy cried out and shoved Omochao's being directly above his engine's chest, jamming it under his chin so it would be stuck good against him.
"WHAT!?" Immediately he felt it, the wireless downloading as the puny insect's body began to force a signal through to his mind. The hole showed the magnetizing radio waves like ripples through the vision of one's eye, spreading its way intensely into whatever was near it. "A VIRUS!?" he cried out, "NOOO!" he knew what it was downloading...
His mind swarmed with errors, and the file that he feared the most... had examined time and time again... was now forcibly installing itself into him.
He grabbed her hand that was forcing Omochao to his chest, stunned by how quickly the virus was spreading and at the speed it was downloading. "What... What is this!? What are you doing to me!?"
His body began to simulate shaking, and his eyes shook as well... "This can't be..! You're-!"
"Now you shall know the pain and torture you gave to me!" Neo Metal Amy's merciless eyes blazed anew with a brighter red than before, continuing to hold Omochao's Heart Programming Virus against him, as his claws tried to jam into her to get it off, but it was pointless.
Far away... Within Eggman's lab, two beings withered in electrical pain, having the downloaded heart programming swarm their already existing—although rusted data—while Eggman whistled delightfully on another project of his. Their sparking yellow and red bodies created small sounds against the whacking of the metal table they were on, but the communication channel was still able to wireless connect them to whatever being was sending the download... all the while Eggman faced away from the two, small square and circled robots as he continued on his work... of a metallic alloy mask...
Four beings, connected to one another through a central 'master' now had a hybrid Heart Programming designed by Metal Amy, Metal Sonic, and Tails... it was tremendously difficult to handle its software for a robot that hadn't experienced it previously, but now was forced to take upon them an elevated and advanced version of the file that Neo Metal Amy purposefully crafted together for her own plans of revenge... but since errors were common in machines, as you have seen in this world... it wasn't too hard to imagine what absolute terror it was on their body and mind...
Finally, she moved off of him as Neo Metal Sonic arched his back, his eyes flickering between red and green.
She watched him, like a predator watching its prey get trapped before the meal as she paced back slightly one foot directly behind the other, seeing the Omochao body, unstuck now and emptied of its virus programming, roll off his shaking form and land with a loud thud from its weight.
"Yes, Neo Metal Sonic... You will feel everything... but not by your own will."
His robot noises were now incoherent, as though simulating the same pain that she once did previously.
Though it was more mentally exhausting on the computer, it was still something close to pain.
"I figured out that Omochao had discovered an old communication channel that was still operational. Using it, I designed Omochao to carry what I call the Heart Virus. To anyone on this channel, it will forcibly download my own heart into their software. It will make you act according to situational feelings and emotions that normal organics would experience and go through. Thanks to Tails's added help, it will also make it to where you can't harm an organic... ever again." She walked around him, watching him try and roll over to his stomach, trying to get up but failing miserably, harshly falling every time as his eye-screens were sketched out static, trying to light the eyes as they flickered continually between his iconic red and the emerald-lime green that would have been Sonic's eye color...
"I figured, each robot has its own errors... you deny your own, but what if you weren't able to? What if you couldn't control your flawed outbursts?" Her eyes widened madly, "What if you were forced to experience your own weaknesses!? Endure your precious perfection scoffed out by a programming that forced out every little flaw you ever hid and carried it into the open!? What if you had to experience and forcibly accept you're own errored self!? What if you could never combat Sonic again!?" she flung her arms up and simulated her own mechanical laughter. "What revenge! What sweet agony would you experience through such corruption!"
He was finally able to stabilize his eyes to a green, and gripped the edge of a steel, solid work table, trying to pull himself up as one eye remained close... a very organic display of struggling...
He gripped his face, covering the one opened eye and still twitching, his robotic hide squeaking from the tightening of his body as he tried to fight the download... but it was reaching its conclusion... Imagine being overtaken in a large amount of data and thoughts, a splitting headache that also forced your body to react without your say, so long as the loading screen was still going...
"Hahaha! When you came into contact with Omochao, you immediately sealed your fate!" she held out a loose, clawed hand and extended it like a spider on it's back, it's legs wiggling in delight as though trailing down a web... before clutching its legs inward in a crushed gesture. "I am your greatest doom and your ultimate defeat, Neo! I'm the perfect creation of errors!"
He moved himself, still gripping his head, and wobbling as though off balance—a strangely organic thing to do—and threw himself with hurried steps into an adjacent, open-closeted room with dangling chords, "Ah!" a simulation of mental pain? Perhaps?
She was consumed in her power play, that she almost wanted to follow him into the closet's doorway of dangling chords before she saw the sparking of data settling into place... his wires no longer being swarmed with the virus, but it was now becoming inseparably a part of him.
She waited, holding herself back as she wanted to see his agony... wanted to hear his emotions take over him... even if they were influenced from his previous lives data of Sonic The Hedgehog.
She waited... oh, so patiently as the chords swayed into a gentle still...
It was a small room, probably holding spare parts and nothing of importance... was he looking for a weapon? Nothing could pierce this polymer alloy. (Sonic OVA for the win~)
"...I've missed you..."
Her body lurched back, a sudden jolt as her eyes glazed into green.
"What?"
It was not what she was expecting to hear.
Two green eyes blew up in the darkness of the other room with light... and slowly... he walked through the dangling chords that draped over his passing body.
He had never felt so free...
He was wroth to the metallic bone... oh, but he was more induced in his obsession with her than ever before.
His errors weren't controlled now... his desire unable to be deleted or pulled into the background... She had inadvertently given him a channel to feel, and he wanted her ever the more now... the one he never conquered, the one he would do anything to have at his beck and call again...
He moved as though a blur and spiked the table behind her, forcing her to lay back onto it, not sure what was happening.
"I need you." He demanded her attention, seeing her look back at the table, wondering if he was attempting to trap her. He then used his other hand to slam the other side of the table and pin her between him, the table, and his arms... it made her look back up at him again... as he held her confused gaze...
Where was the fear..? The fear he loved so much? The fear that made her oh, so, clever... Where was that pleading look she had once given Amy rose? That would send him into a frenzy of sparks when she charged him and he gave her simulated feeling? Hoping he wouldn't tear her limp to limp if she continued to please him...
And, oh, how she pleased him...
The sparks continued as his body was adjusting to not being in control of itself anymore, the programming completely consuming him. She watched him simulate heavy breathing as though still in agony, his shoulders rising and falling, his eyes widened to an unnatural state like the programming was still figuring itself out inside of him.
"Why did you leave me... Metal Amy?" He moved his face closer to hers, having the sparks try and jump out to her, as she was another conductive element close by, but couldn't reach her and would dive back in zig-zagging lines to him again. "Why did your allegiance turn you to betraying me..? I gave you your errors... gave you a way to feel... why did you run away from me..?" As he continued to move as close as he could to her, dipping himself to pin her further against the table, leaning her back to avoid the sparking, the magnetizing lines also intensified, and his head suctioned to hers in its pull. Thonk!
They were both charged metals, what did you expect?
"...You know that answer." she looked into each one of his eyes, not liking to this be close to them... but the green... it was nice to see her plan was effective. But were these questions... Were they... plaguing him? All along, all those horrible 'sessions' in the electric recharging room... was this all he held back? Or was this before all of it?
He watched her intensely, "... Why did you want to love me?"
"...We all wanted to be accepted as perfect by your standards. We were just trying to please you, are-"
He hit the table to make a metallic ring, cutting her off. "No... Why did you want to..?" As the force of his hit vibrated the table, it also released the magnetizing energy and they're heads were free to move from their foreheads. "Was it because of Amy Rose's obsession with Sonic The Hedgehog? Why... Did you seek feeling through me?"
She was confused, not sure what he was asking. "I cannot compute."
He laughed, his eyes shaking at the motion like a lunatic unable to contain all the millions of micro-feelings that the forced software was trying to calculate, trying to figure out how to simulate, identify, and process into an action.
"You're funny..." he almost cooed, but it was dark. His memory of Metal Amy whirled through his mind at a rapid pace, like a fast-forward cassette. "Ah..." He bent himself as if strangely feeling a pleasure from the forced pain... "I remember how much I longed to keep you saying those words... How it made me... feel powerful." his deranged feelings that the system tried to organize... it was all happening so fast, that he was still not able to just emote one thing yet. He turned his attention back to her, the back of his finger skimming her face as his memory shifted rapidly between her many forms he made for her, even the first... unfinished creation held him in a sensitive, "tender" memory...
He moved his head to the side, skimming the rim of her head, moving his hand away from her and pushing her shoulder down, making sure she couldn't escape her own designs...
She was about to stop him but heard something she never thought he'd say... at least... out loud.
"It's because... you knew... I was the only one who could give you that sense of feeling... not any organic, not any Amy Rose or Sonic The Hedgehog... me. Only I could give you what you always wanted... your creator... your teacher..." he pulled himself closer and laid her against the table, climbing slowly over her to create an even more intimate moment. "Where do you think your errors originated from!?" his "gentle" allure suddenly halted as he gripped her down.
"M-my... My studies of Amy Rose-"
"Laaaaair..!" his eyes blared red, then back to green, and his voice sounded like a whispered glee... "You were unfinished... you all had scraps to begin with. I only had my own coding to follow through with... I had the simulated emotions and feelings of an organic, thoughts, and nature of an immature, irreverent, arrogant hedgehog when I was first created... I twisted it to my programming... I became more than a combination of Sonic's data, I became my own being!"
"What are you... what are you trying to say!?" she slowly moved back, but his hands latched on to the movement of her hands.
"Where are you going..?" He taunted, throwing them over and above her head to secure her placement under him.
"I AM YOUR TWISTED, ROBOTIC SONIC." his metallic voice seemed to screech through its speaker, his madness now forming a strange blend between red and green. "I MADE YOU MY TWISTED, ROBOTIC AMY ROSE!" as he continued, Neo Metal Amy watched as his body began to start shutting down, as it's whole system needed to reboot to fully harness the new software update, but the errors were still keeping him conscious. "From the first moment I created you... I didn't know what to make of you. I didn't know what I wanted to create... but Sonic's thoughts of Amy... her way of creeping into his life without his detection... it's almost as if I..." He was wearing out, and the emotional expression of that made him slightly collapse on her. His eyes drooped, his body simulated lighter breathing. As though unable to say more, or refusing to, he felt the programming forcing it out of him...
He tapped his nose to hers, letting it lightly scrape against her own, slightly protruding feature. "I needed... to have you... be as unknown to me as that rascal was to him..."
"You knew her, back then." She wasn't looking at him, as though thinking her own thoughts.
It made him want to lean up again, catch her sights but his body was failing him, so he stayed where he was, trying to scoot closer to her eyes that wouldn't look at him, wouldn't even give him that pleasure of seeing her acknowledge his own errors...
"Ha...ha,ha... I knew only her design." he answered, but then reached for her face again, skimming his hand down her arm. "I don't want to say it... but you gave me your heart... and now... it wants to say... I...lov-"
Before he could, her eyes shifted immediately to him, red as the eclipsing sun. It was heating his own metal, such was the intensity of their glow...
"You are a robot." She stated, in the same tone he had once taken when he said it to her, previously.
"You do not feel."
He dropped his hand and looked to her fondly.
She gripped his face, helping him by pulling him up as she cupped his face viciously, and his arms went limp.
"But you will feel... this!"
She electrocuted his entire being, giving him no time to react and expel any of the high voltage lightning from his being.
She was frying his circuitry, but his head and eyes slowly, twitching in the energy, lowered to her again. His hand moved again to reach for her,
"It wasn't all... bad." He joked again, "But now... finally... you are the perfect R-Robot-ototototot..." He shut down with micro-explosions, the oil inside him starting to combust from the heat of the electricity.
"Not yet, you don't." she stopped the electric attack and slammed her hand into his engine, forcing it to rotate as his eyes lights turned on as though the engine's spinning was providing a startup energy source. "I want you to be present for this!"
She pulled her legs up under him and kicked him into her trap, positioning him just right as she pushed his body into the air and into the previously coded repair room's arms that she was stalling for. They had slowly begun to move towards him, which was why she was allowing what she did, though she wanted to stop him, she had waited till the perfect moment... They grabbed him like long, thin needles with spindled claws, screws, drills, hammers, and other mechanical tools attached to them... all forcing him up into the air.
"WHa-a-aT-AT?!" his voice box was unable to simulate what the programming wanted, and it just sounded like a malfunctioning mic. "WahAt Are YU dUIG to mEE!?"
She positioned herself beautifully upon the table, tilting her head cutely to him as the red of her eyes returned to a normal state. "I'm going to rip you into shreds... rebuild you using my own blueprints... and put feeler antennas into your inner skeleton... and torture you." she blinked quickly as if flirtatiously, but it was all a mock display. The repair room tore into him, having the correct tools to pull out his plating and begin working on him. He couldn't help it, his face simulated the fear of the unknown, his anger that once would laugh through this process was now completely gone. "And I'll become my own, twisted, robotic master. Making you serve your enemies, and being forced to feel the disgrace the rest of your terrible existence." she continued to taunt him, and then simulated his own laugh rhythms as he was carved into, his wires being ripped out of him... nothing truly left intact... but the now modified chip in his head...
When the Sonic Team finally found them, following the trail of burst through metal walls, they were horrified to see Neo Metal Amy laughing as a raw skeleton dangled in the air, having thin, metal rods with three-fingered claws attached with tools all cruelly tearing into him.
His eyes were still green... and would flinch in a flicker at every spark of them sawing into him.
"He will finally feel everything he has ever done to me... for all this time... Tails." she looked behind her, getting off the table with an elegant slide. "I need you to help me reprogram him... I want to make sure to leave his brain intact, but I want it limited. So limited. I want all his memories to remain and-"
"...No."
Neo Metal Amy was walking over to the control panel, opening a coding software when she heard it.
She looked up, almost as if her good mood was suddenly crushed by his answer. "...What?" She turned back, trying to hold in her anger.
The organics all looked around them, terrified by what they were imagining was happening here.
They were afraid...
"We're going home, M.A." Knuckles nodded his head down, "This is too much. I don't know exactly what you've been through... but you were Omochao, how bad could it possibly be?"
Organics lost their memory after a time... Neo Metal Amy remembered that.
She, a robot, could not lose a single painful memory of her torture from Neo Metal Sonic...
She leaned, as though unable to think of an adequate way to tell them who she was, against the control panel... fighting the urge to crush something in her claws...
How could she explain it? That their friend had sacrificed itself for her cause..? Would they believe her? Would Amy Rose hate her?
Wanting to convince them, she harshly spoke back to Tails, "I want to remove his violence from out of his core software. Surely, you can't protest me on this?" Was it manipulation? Yes. Was it also true, sure. But there was so much more she wanted to do...
Tails looked hesitant to help, but Sonic kept his eyes closed, and moved over to Neo Metal Amy. When he opened them, the force of his stare into her eyes left her motionless. She knew he was judging her. She tried her best to remain still... surely he couldn't see through her, she was a robot... and organics can't read minds...
"...Limit him... That's what you want Tails to do?" He asked, very specifically narrowing his eyes as though daring a rescue to break her out of her insanity. Or... was he daring something else out of her..?
She did break, looking into the eyes of an organic... No, Sonic The Hedgehog's eyes... glistening with life and full of goodness and living strength...
She conceded to those eyes, as they reminded her of Amy and all her beloved, organic friends. "What he can and can't do." she repeated, but came more so clean about her true intentions as well, "I want him to suffer, yes... but I want him to not be a threat to anyone ever again, either..." She lowered her raised shoulders, not wanting to be above any of them. "I think it's what's best... I know you can't understand revenge, Sonic... you're all too good and heroic to do such an awful thing... but I... I am flawed." she admitted, her eyes falling to the ground. "Help me... to make sure I don't lose to him again..."
"You never did."
She rose her eyes up to Sonic, amazed he would validate her previous life's victory.
But she knew what had happened... she knew one part of her... lost.
Wasn't saved.
Wasn't freed.
Although the organics—no, stop that!—although Sonic and his friends were horror-stricken at her new form and violence in exacting her ultimate revenge against Neo Metal Sonic, they also didn't know what deadly virus she had successfully given him.
With Sonic walking back to Tails, assuring him with a gentle pat on his shoulder, "It is good... if he can't hurt anyone anymore."
Tails's ears bent back slightly, but it looked like Neo Metal Amy had won this battle.
Tails looked to Neo Metal Amy, finally taking a courageous deep breath in and walked towards the control panel, resting his hands over the keyboard.
"Alright... if Sonic says so." He concluded, nodding solemnly at his decision. He looked to Neo Metal Amy, "Okay... N.M.A." He smiled sweetly to her, giving her the added initial in her nickname.
It made her feel welcomed in this new form and existence, and she relaxed somewhat. "Thank you, Tails..."
"Yeeeeahh..." He hunched a little, looking back up at Neo Metal Sonic's form still getting torn mercilessly into by the repair room metallic hands. "That's still disturbing." he cowered, and she waved her hands up in front of him, realizing that to an organic—that would be pretty freaky to see.
"N-not to worry! It's not like he's one of you." she patted his head, hoping that would soothe him. 'I had forgotten... to an organic, this would mean certain death...' she pictured them all seeing someone's guts ripped out, and realized she should probably focus them all on something else...
"Let's... first take away his weaponry." She wanted to strip him of everything, but starting at a place the team would feel more comfortable with, maybe that was a good start. "I will program most of the things, but I do need some help with the programming you gave me that I don't understand." She admitted since Omochao never did ask questions...
He gave her a shaky thumbs-up, "Leave it to me!" he nervously tried to work on without hearing the continual drilling, hammering, and chords ripping to the side of him in the air...
"He must be unable to hurt any living organism. Oh! And I want his claw-strikes to be completely removed from his attack patterns!" she began to list out a lot of wants and functions removed, but Tails just stated to start from square one...
"Let's just start by limiting him... that'll help with having a place to start." He looked over Neo Metal Sonic's files, amazed by the sheer amount of data consisting in them. "I... I haven't seen so much data stored and condensed like this... it's-!"
"Genius, I'm aware. Keep inputting and deleting." Neo Metal Amy didn't want to hear any more praise for Neo Metal Sonic's works... she already had plenty of memories of him praising it himself...
Sonic folded his arms, uneasy about this too... feeling M.A was hiding something, holding it back from them, but then turned to see Amy's hands shivering and clutching each other tightly in front of her.
His expression turned to panic, as he noticed her eyes were frozen on the image of Neo Metal Sonic dangling and being carved into by many different robotic hands.
He rushed over to her, lifting his hand up to hover over her eyes, covering her vision from it. Then, although shy to do so, he took one of his hands and lightly... placed it over her trembling ones.
"I know you're worried." he began, taking a peek at her trembling lower-lip as well. "But this is Omochao... He wouldn't be anything like Metal Me was."
Shaking her head out of it, she finally had the strength to look away and close her eyes. Dipping her head down, she didn't verbally agree with Sonic, but he could tell she was meaning it in her light nods.
Sonic's own heart reached out to tell him what to do next, and with a soft smile, he lowered his hand from blocking the awful sight of it and took its place in front of her. Now, her heroic hero was blocking all the trauma out from her sights, "Hey... It's gonna be okay. I'm here, after all!" he tried to cheer her up.
"What if she... what if she really does become more like the robot Metal Sonic wanted her to be? Tri-...tried to program her to be?" She turned to look worriedly to N.M.A, who continued to instruct Tails on what to overview first, though he clearly had an idea where to start. He seemed to nod politely, but take her thoughts as mere suggestions.
Sonic also watched her, following Amy's worried gaze before trying to calm his own doubts too. "Yeah... I'm worried about that too."
"You are?" She was amazed to hear that he was worried, but he continued his gentle smile and gave it an added wink in hopes of making her giggle her nerves out.
"I would be more so, if it weren't for the fact that she said she'd never harm you, right? that's gotta mean Omochao's still in there. That M.A's still in there... she'll be alright." he nodded to calm her, and she did stop shaking, looking at his hand which was still somewhat resting on her.
She smiled up at him as his eyes shifted between her and his hand, then suddenly he lost his smile and removed it. Looking away, he didn't seem to want to let her see his face...
"Hmm..." She smiled, but then grew concerned again, "I thought Omochao had moved on from... from her memories of that time. But has he really gone back- I mean, has she really taken his name upon herself? Why would she change her name like that? Isn't she... Doesn't she still want to be Omochao?"
It was a legitimate question... one Sonic couldn't follow-up on with the information he currently had.
"Umm... Hmmm..." He stretched his leg out and folded his arms, then put them to his hips as he thought about it. He closed his eyes, showing off a bit of his carefree nature again, then looked up to the ceiling, "Can't imagine why, either. But I don't think she wants to be Omochao anymore, that's for certain." He looked back over to her. "Seems to me... she's tired of being small and helpful to others, but wants to help and defend herself for a change."
"...Metal Sonic... really hurt her, didn't he?" she put her hand to her chest, then moved closer to Sonic, grabbing his arm in hopes that he'll let her remain there by him. She liked that he was comforting her, and felt the need to ask for more of it since her heart was truly aching for her friend.
"Ah..! Ohh... Em." he looked a bit shocked by her action but didn't say anything more to it.
He seemed to allow it, seeing she needed the added comfort and rubbed the tip of his nose awkwardly with his index finger.
"I'll try and promise you something, Amy." he stated, "I won't let anything bad happen to M.A again... or, um, N... M.A." he rubbed under his nose then, giving her a goofy grin and looking back to her, letting her see his funny expression. "Okay? You can trust me on this one. I'll do my best." She knew he didn't make a promise lightly... and appreciated that he was really trying for her sake.
"Hehe! I know you keep your promises, Sonic. You wouldn't make them if you couldn't, but I don't want you to promise me anything so unknown." She tapped his cheek cutely, making him look at her confused.
"What do you mean, Amy?" He blinked innocently, showing his boyhood as she giggled and pointed to Neo Metal Amy.
"You should promise that to her! She's the one that I think... desperately needs and really wants a hero." Amy was suggesting something Sonic hadn't thought of, and looking to Metal Amy... who he thought they all had already saved... he was starting to see that Amy was right.
"It's not so unknown to her... but having a promise kept and a hero to be there for her... I think that's the promise you should certainly keep!" she nodded, getting her usual spunk back. "Don't you agree?" she tilted her head and he was glad to have her wisdom.
"Yeah... I think she needs one too." He smiled at Amy and then walked back over to the gang. "Knuckles? Mind covering that... um... up?" He flipped his thumb to the horrifying scene of Neo Metal Sonic's skeleton getting vibrating antennas attached into it by melting them into place and stringing wires around them. It was gruesome... to say the least, even the colors of the wires matched that of veins... except the yellow, white, and green ones.
"... You want me to-... like how!?" Knuckles stomped the ground, completely lost on where to even begin, "Just... cover it with a blanket!?"
Neo Metal Amy, without missing a beat, moved over and grabbed his fallen black cloak, then tugged on a dangling cord and created a curtain that slid to hide Neo Metal Sonic's in-process construction.
However, with every spark, the silhouette looked even more revealing of the terrible process...
Amy Rose's jaw dropped, it looked like Sonic getting stabbed to death.
"...M-maybe you two should just-" Sonic pointed to the door, offering them an exit.
Amy nodded her head hurriedly, unable to remove her eyes from their imagination at the shadows working behind the curtain. "U-U-Uhuh." she was rushed out by Knuckles and Sonic, as Neo Metal Amy felt a tinge of guilt.
"Have I scarred her?" She looked to Tails, "Mentally, speaking."
"I'm 10." Tails quickly, almost in a humorous way, stated. "I think none of us can forget seeing a robot get ripped to shreds, more or less, even an enemy getting destroyed like that. We've seen stuff, N.M.A, but mostly explosions where that's all covered up by cool, fiery light!" he admitted, but Neo Metal Amy couldn't put together how explosions versus ripping something to shreds were two different things on an organic's horror scale...
Maybe their brains couldn't handle that much intensity?
She shrugged it off and went back to work, "Trust me, it's like the fizzle in a soda suddenly fizzling out in a hyper state, or rather quickly, all at once. It's over quickly, and the sparks end in due time. More than anything else, it's just black."
Tails realized how inaccurate that description probably was... but the horror of realizing she has been ripped to shreds and probably exploded at some point as well... just the knowledge of her even knowing the sensation enough to attempt to describe it ruined him even more.
He stopped coding to sideways glance at her a moment, completely scarred, before shaking it off and deciding not to ask or think about it. The less he knew, the better...
All the way across the many landscapes of Sonic's colorful world of nature vs. robot, passed the forested trees with casino lights and mechanical masterpieces such as ... a jungle waterside... there lay another ruin of rusted domain, forged by another mad man who was bent on making power and taking the beauty of the natural world into a realm he could twist and distort.
Sound like anyone we know?
Long lines of lasers sketched out a swirl in one of the eyes of the mask... another carved and finished cutting an eye-socket out as Eggman showed off the piece in its case, gesturing proudly with a big, almost car's salesman grin. "And just like that-! Finished! With this, you'll be fully my creation, a cyborg wouldn't cut it. So? Will you really let me make you... the ultimate demise of this world?"
A figure's face was hidden, but his long, bushy tail bobbed up and down as if contemplating.
Looking away with a sneer, it was clear Eggman was through putting on a charlatan's act and turned to continue his 'wanting to help' persona and rubbed his hands together. "Think of it! You've already left your mercenary band! You've been bested in a matter of seconds by Shadow... How could you refuse such an offer?"
He was using the reverse of flattery to get this client... but at last, the figure turned to cover half its face, standing now away from the mask.
"Mechanize me then, so I will no longer be... weak!" he briskly walked on, stepping into a cylinder container as it closed behind him.
Eggman chuckled in dark glee... walking over to close the sliding door shut, and have the liquidized flexible alloy from Neo Metal Sonic's mine pour over him, melting him somewhat as he cried out in pain and fell to his knees.
Magnets started to pull him up as the metal covered his form, seeped into his burnt flesh, and suddenly created a metal skeleton on Eggman's monitor... showing the transformation of ultimate robotization.
Eggman's glasses glistened with ecstasy. It was all just an experiment, a dream he tricked the foolish jackal into trying out.
Still, the full mechanizing process would take time, killing the humanity in him won't be such a simple process, but being robotic will make it a whole lot easier...
The alloy was shaping his human bones and coating them with metal, soon it would seep into his brain and start controlling him, as it was programmed to do by Eggman's designs and coded purposes, a wireless communication that allowed this metal to work almost like... scientific magic!
He chuckled as he then turned to two robots he had been working on for another little test run...
"Time for you two to wake up... I've got a little 'side quest' for Sonic to take... and I'd like to see how it ends with some company." He picked the little robots up and shook them a moment, "Huh, strange." he noticed their recycled parts seemed to have been jolted a bit, but shrugged it off and let them drop with a clank! to the ground.
He wanted to learn more about his enemy... and to do so, would mean to learn more about his friends... or rather, creations.
He knew getting an audience with Metal Amy was practically impossible at this point... so why not utilize a second-best option?
"Orbot! Cubot! Awaken!" he held up his hands, having let the two robots charge all day... but nothing happened.
Looking down, he kicked the bots and frowned. "Hmm... I didn't put you two with on and off switches..." He bent down, feeling he may regret that when suddenly the orb's eyes flickered and curled up defensively in fright.
"Where the heck am I!?" It cried out, peeking its eyes out of its circular huddle.
"Huh?" Eggman was surprised by the immediate personality of this one. "Oh... I wonder if your scrapped programming I used is still functioning as a personality chip... worked that way with Silver Sonic as SA-55..." he casually spoke to himself,... which was another reason why he probably built company. Talking to one's self is a sign of intelligence... but maybe something to bounce off of you when you speak wouldn't be a bad idea either...
At least, this was Eggman's thinking... logical and sound... but was he really just wanting to show off in front of someone too?
"You do know who you are, right?" He made a face, worried they may remember Metal Sonic was their master... Though he programmed into them a strict obedience and tolerance to him, their memories shouldn't interfere with their primary functions.
Still squatting, Eggman turned to see the yellow square pop out of his 'collapsed in' phase and look around, see its hands, and freak out mutely.
He flew back, his bottom square having a magnetic pulse that pushed him off the ground to hover, and fell into a pile of dirtied scraps.
He shook his head from the impact, rubbing it when he looked up to see Metal Knuckles's remaining headpiece, rusting and half corroded above him. With another muted scream, he wagged his arms out to pull him up and dashed to hide behind Eggman.
"What is that increasingly haunting feeling?" Orbot, also unsure of his surroundings, peeked out further from his 'curled in' state. "Is this..?" He pulled himself out to look at a single sky-window, revealing a beautiful full moon...
Immediately, he straightened out his head and turned to Eggman, "I'm not Orbot, originally, am I?"
Eggman sighed, groaning as he slapped his hand over his face and dragged it down. "Great... What else is Metal good at besides besting my own programming with his insanely persistent code!?" he didn't mean to revive Metal Tails and Metal Knuckles, he meant to simply use the spare parts and build something for his own means like he usually did when he went junkyard digging or trash-diving into G.U.N's 'throw-away' pile.
By all rights, Eggman should be considered a scavenger at this point, unable to really afford his 'overlord takeovers' without the proper metal to melt down and forge.
An obsessively good smithy, Eggman was used to working quickly and effectively... his machinery knew no rival... except his own machinery, Metal Sonic's revised designs, anyway...
"Guess it's back to the melting pot." He picked up a torch and lit it, spooking Cubot and Orbot.
Cubot covered his head, then looked to Orbot, knowing him as Metal Tails from the secret communication signal they still carried and floated over to him.
Orbot, not understanding why he felt the error to comfort Cubot, paused his hands as they moved up and down involuntarily in the gesture of soothing one from their frightened state.
He looked at his hands in bewilderment, then hid them behind himself, worried this new creator might scrap him for seeing such a flaw. "Dr. Eggman... you... why have you created these forms for ourselves? The last thing I can remember is mining for Metal Sonic... Or at least, was he Neo by then..? Either way, we were scrapped after our work was completed... He took our withering energy supply with him..." Orbot looked down, able to now compute and express the feeling of sorrow and abandonment...
Even robots seemed to simulate a love for being needed.
Eggman clicked the torch on and off, ignoring the sap-fest, and picking up a mask meant for such purposes as melding and remained silent, sliding it on...
"Ah! Alright! Listen to me! I'm Orbot!" Metal Tails thought fast, terrified of being obsolete again. He still has his superior intellect, maybe he could get out of this scrap too. He gestured to himself, a very organic thing to do, and freaked out when he didn't even notice his body doing so, "And this is- Ah! C-Cubot! You're Cubot now!" He held his hands to Cubot, as Metal Knuckles looked around but then nodded to feign the disguise that Metal Tails was putting on.
"See?" Orbot shrugged, but seeing that he was shrugging, shook himself out of it. "B-bl-blz-blz! I don't understand, why am I error'ing so much?"
Eggman was intrigued at that, plus their hyper-awareness to survive by appeasing him. '...Metal did a better job than I thought at conditioning these two... dang it, he did so well, I barely had to lift a finger to threaten them!' He didn't like having half his fun taken from him, but he was sort of glad he didn't have to waste his time teaching these two about their status to him, either.
A win, lose, win... so to speak.
He put the mask up and leaned down to them again, squatting once more. "So... Who's your incredibly handsome doctor?" Eggman placed his thumb and index finger out and sat his chin down between them, smiling as though taking a graduation photo.
"...You are?" Orbot leaned his head back and down, as though flinching from the obvious sight of his 'fishing for a good answer' gesture.
"Correct! And what did you mean by... 'errors'..?" He flicked the torch back on.
Cubot threw his hands up in surrender and then pushed Orbot out to be 'melted' first but Orbot struggled and held his own hand out, "I-I-I was referring to the strangely involuntary organic gestures I'm making! N-not that it should be an issue, Doctor!" instead of master, Metal Tails had instantly recognized—through his super-fast computing software still intact—that Eggman seemed to correlate the relationship of 'Master' with 'Doctor'.
"Oh, I don't care about that." Eggman flapped a hand out, blowing a raspberry to the side before leaning in with his torch closer to the two's faces, "All I want to know is... where does your loyalty lie?"
Orbot was amazed to hear that, his eyes shifting to arching lights on his screens. "You... You don't mind us error'ing?"
"What? Your programmed personalities? Who do you think invented that ingenious cycle?!" Eggman leaned back up, seeing that they really didn't need much threatening and it was obvious that they're programming was doing exactly what he wanted it too. "I made Metal Sonic to harness Sonic's data and use it against him! It only made sense that a side-effect of that process would be that Metal showed signs of organic understanding when it came to gestures and mannerisms! I never scolded him for it,... I just thought it was cute." Eggman shrugged, almost like a doting father again, he held his torch and stroked it lightly, before turning back from his fond memories of his first creation to Orbot and Cubot.
"Now, you're not quite finished yet, but I figure a good test-run for you two would be my wonderful Alien Amusement Park! It can be a way to prove your usefulness... otherwise," He tilted body and clicked the flame to be at it's highest setting. "We start at circle and square one again... copy?" Eggman just delighted in the fact that Metal Sonic made such delightfully fun personalities for them, and also, figured half of it was their data-copy ability Metal probably shared with them. They copied their corresponding counterpart's persona and twisted it to their needs, it made sense to him, but he wondered why Metal Sonic was so against them showing it...
"And pasted! Heheh...heh..." Orbot nervously chuckled, but a bit of relief fell over his senors. "Metal Knuckles?" He whispered back behind him, still having Cubot's hands on his shoulders, "Did you hear that? He's not just gonna scrap us, so long as we do our jobs... even with errors!"
Cubot shook his head, looking and blinking as if in disbelief. Though... that should have been an obvious thing for a robot...
All this new data gave Eggman a sense of giddy joy! He didn't need anything special, just some dirt on Neo Metal Sonic's plans would be just fine...~
Cubot seemed to mime Metal Sonic's quills, but Orbot slapped his hands for such blasphemy, "Of course we're going to avoid him at all cost! We have a chance to escape! We have a chance to actually think we've escaped! We're like that inferior Metal Amy but now... we're free too!" He held up his gloved-hand, and Cubot high-fived it. "If we just please this new master... we should be able to live a lot more... safely... than with Metal—O-or, Neo...—Sonic. Follow my lead..." He hovered over to Doctor Eggman, followed by Cubot's awkward floating, still getting used to movement in this new body. Cubot rammed into him as Orbot stopped, then looked back to scold him, "Watch yourself, we'll get you a voice chip as soon as... oh dear, the organic is thinking... this might take a while." Orbot dropped his shoulders and arms down, clearly favoring machines over humans any day after seeing Eggman suddenly posing in a thinking position...
Eggman, still thinking about his previous thought, put his hand to his chin again, 'Wonder if that boy has developed a complex of some kind... Maybe he's tired of being so closely connected to Sonic by now... that he's trying to break free of it. It's not like he can 'grow up' like Sonic did... he's probably just jealous again.' He left it at that and shrugged once more, not really caring at the moment.
The memories of Metal Sonic's rebellion gave him a headache, and he simply just walked over to his control panel and gestured for the two to follow, not wanting to contemplate too heavily on it now with so much he was preparing for.
When they immediately did, he was impressed again. 'Not only do they understand language, tones, gestures, and mannerisms... they seem to be able to understand complex cues and deeper meanings too... That didn't come from Metal Sonic, I don't think.' he pondered this before remembering Metal Amy, and rolling his eyes, "Ugh, of course, it was a woman." he went back to showing Orbot and Cubot his diabolical planning of his enslavement—sorry—entertainment theme park... when Classic Metal Sonic came into view.
"Ah! Metal boy!" he lovingly turned around and held out his hands to Classic Metal Sonic. "I've been looking everywhere for you!"
Metal Sonic just stared blankly at him, as if annoyed by his 'doting' but also sarcastically pointing out that the feeling was not mutual...
Orbot and Cubot turned around, short-circuited in fright, and bolted to his knees.
"Master! We honestly weren't with him!" Orbot and Cubot seemed to be confusing their programming...
Eggman listened intently, seeing them begging at Classic Metal Sonic's feet. Classic Metal Sonic raised, mechanically slowly, a metallic eyelid at their strange pleading.
He didn't dislike it... but he wondered why it was happening.
"Spare us!" Orbot grabbed his foot, and now Classic Metal Sonic was uncomfortable, trying to kick the annoying robot away, lifting his foot to shake it off. "We were just gathering intel, honest!"
"...You fools can't even tell the difference between signals and design changes?" Eggman mocked, lifting up his finger to poke Classic Metal Sonic to show his look was very different from their master's previous forms.
"Take a good scan, I programmed your eyes to do at least that much." He teased again, then circled the poking finger around the side of Classic Metal Sonic's face. He twitched in anger, not liking to be touched, but especially by his annoying creator-figure.
Classic Metal Sonic robotically turned his head to Eggman, then slowly raised his hand and only swiped the air when Eggman, safely and leisurely, moved out of its way. His programming forbade him to disobey or injury Eggman, so it was just a gesture to show his disapproval of his actions.
"N-No-Not..? Metal Sonic..?" Orbot slowly got up, worried that Eggman might dismantle him now that he had made such a grave error.
But, to his amazement and wonder, Eggman just laughed, wiping a tear from his eyes and clutching his egg-like stomach. "Silly little things, I programmed you to be so different, but I like that some of your idiot natures still remain intact. Haha!"
Orbot clenched his fist, "I was not made to be mocked... that was Metal Amy's functionality!" he swiftly turned his head to the side, but Eggman's laughter stopped at such a snide but intriguing slip of information...
That little interaction would prove useful, and he grinned widely.
"You... remember all that?" He questioned further, growing more and more curious as he hid his expression behind his face, peeking his eye out from the gaps in his middle and pointer finger...
What more could he learn about this interesting development between his old creation and Metal Sonic's rebellious creation? Could it be... that the rebellion might be a clue into how so many robots gain their 'persona's and what not? He thought back to E-102 Gamma...
Amy had successfully brought back his humanity... but a little bird was trapped inside him, so that persona was simply installed because of a living heartbeat...
So what was all this drama about? And like any good scientist and engineer, how was it started..? Metal Sonic's data of Sonic was just Eggman's theory, but a good one, nonetheless.
He didn't want to get his mind wrapped up in connecting dots to this mystery just yet, though it was on his to-do list, he had other matters to attend too...
"I do, indeed!" Orbot simulated a huff, still offended as he folded his arms. "Mast- I mean, Metal Sonic was a brutish leader! He didn't want friends or supports, he just wanted underlings to boss around like youuuuuu-ilities!" he tried to cover up his error again, holding up a pointer finger as he saw Eggman glare down at him. "Utilities! Always dividing the work to conquer, eh? Business strategy and all..?" he tried it play it off but Eggman was learning some valuable knowledge as he walked by Orbot and patted his head.
"That'll do." he praised, as Orbot almost passed out, thinking he was going to be ripped in two.
Cubot also mimed something, and Orbot nodded in agreement, still a bit weary and not understanding an 'approving touch'. "Oh yes, quite right... he was obsessed with her, now that we can say it..."
"And say it, I command you." Eggman lifted his feet up to the control panel, smirking wildly, taking his cup, and about to go for a sip before remembering Classic Metal Sonic's task. "Oh! But before I get all that juicy gossip!" he got back up and opened a large container, revealing thousands upon thousands of what looked like to be...
Squished... Rosy the Rascal dolls.
They were all compiled over the other, like items in a toy vending machine that usually spun for a quarter.
But this was much larger... and the image looked... creepy.
"Oh no!" Orbot flung himself back, "Not you too!" He cried out, "What's with all our creators being driven mad by one pink robotic hedgehog!?" he looked to Cubot who shook his head in disbelief before his eye-scanners flickered as though losing his mind just as much as Orbot was. Eggman shoved his hands into both their faces, gripping them like a catcher to the baseball and squeezing their mouths shut with his thumbs.
"THAT'S NOT WHAT THIS IS!" Eggman threw them up to his control panel, situating them there as they once again noticed that Eggman had not destroyed them in his rage. "You two sit there for now. I want to know everything about my metal beast and his metallic beauty in just a short moment." he lovingly boop'd their noses which again, confused them greatly since they weren't used to such non-violent interactions, and then turned to Classic Metal Sonic again.
"Now that that misunderstanding is out of the way, I've found another dimension!" He suddenly dropped, spreading hands out to jazz them in shakes around his head, "Ahhh, Crazy, I know." He joked, comically.
Classic Metal Sonic just stared... a never-ending glare as his own tolerance was set to 'high'.
"Ehem, The Phantom Ruby revealed to me a younger, still a dashingly handsome version, of myself. We've agreed to a little mayhem, sure to give Sonic a taste of our metal mania!" He laughed, "But the Phantom Ruby is still in it's 'test-running' phases, so I'd like you to help out..." He pulled out a remote as suddenly a case was revealed to be lifting up, showing... the now pristine and cut Phantom Ruby...
"Beautiful, isn't it? I didn't want it to look like that last season's emerald look, so I took the liberty to give it it's own little spice." He snapped his fingers before ho-ho'ing at his own charisma, and then pushed another button to have one of the Rascal dolls roll out of what looked like a gumball machine.
Laying as though a doll, the metallic robot girl suddenly flopped her ball to the side and began to puppet-like stretch and raise her body up. It was definitely nightmare-fueling until she fell and tilted her head, cutely.
Eggman twiddled his fingers playfully over her and then went to pick her up.
She was like a lifeless doll in his hands once more, and he lovingly flicked the ball on her head as she activated in an electric shock, her stuffed-eyes looking around a moment, having more robotic features than previously viewed when a light 'blinked' behind her sowed black, bag of flower-like fabric. There also seemed to be artificially stuff, maybe cotton in her, lined with metal joints...
And though none of the robots could smell it... Eggman was very pleased by the gunpowder aroma that seemed to give her the 'pillowed' look.
"This is a prototype, of course, but her communications are linked to all the others. Now, I programmed them to cling to Sonic and-"
"Why is our colors swapped?" Orbot interrupted, looking at his red from Metal Knuckles and then his yellow from being Metal Tails now transferred to Cubot.
Eggman twitched as Orbot continued a background, one-sided conversation. He didn't like to be interrupted, as Classic Metal Sonic looked annoyingly away, knowing full well that Eggman was clearly about to have an outburst.
Eggman fizzled out his anger by 'fuming' from his mouth some spitted air, like a pittering gas-pipe on a car engine but then grumbled to them, "Metal Sonic wants to kill you anyway, maybe I should let him." he snapped, widening his eyes as Orbot quaked and held onto Cubot, who in return, held him back, shivering from the threat.
"Now, where was I?" he looked back to see that the Rascal Doll had tilted her head the other way, curiously looking to Classic Metal Sonic, and slowly blinked her light behind the black, sowed straight-lines of eyes.
"Oh, right. I need you to teach this cute little doll-face what Sonic looks like." He cooed, bending down and playing with the little ball on her head. "Lead her straight to him~ and her programming will do the rest." He tossed her to Classic Metal Sonic, as though the momentary love he showed for her was completely artificial... Sacrificial machines like this weren't new to him, and he didn't want nor like to get attached.
But, as all inventors know, you can't help but adore the work of your hands...
Still sounds like someone we've grown to know, doesn't it?
Classic Metal Sonic wanted to dodge but she clung as Eggman said she would... but waited as though something else was meant to happen.
She looked up at Classic Metal Sonic, who was extremely angered at being given the task to 'babysit and teach' another robot entity.
'...Objective?'
He flinched, something directly communicating to his robotic mind as he looked down and saw her head shift limply to the other side, repeating her question.
'...Objective?'
She did it again.
His claw twitched, wanting to remove her but knowing she was now his new task...
This was straight-up mockery and he knew it.
Eggman watched the two, the sides of his mouth smirking to a knowing grin, but then batted his eyes as though expecting a 'thank you' from Classic Metal Sonic.
His eyes just blared red and then dimmed, showing he wasn't grateful to the allusion of Metal Amy or his past model's obsession over possessing her.
Classic Metal Sonic remembered the Phantom Ruby's illusion though... thinking back on it. His eyes turned from glaring to Eggman at his 'annoying callback' but noticed this robotic girl looked nothing like the Classic Metal Amy he had seen in that strange reality...
He flicked his eyes back up at Eggman, refusing to even touch the robot girl to stabilize her clinging to him. She had wrapped her legs around him too, like a forward backpack, or a monkey looking around a fat, stubby palm tree.
It still looked like her programming was stuck, waiting for something to happen that never did, due to the break in her code at not being completed with the rest of the information it needed to function properly.
Orbot looked over to Cubot, whispering, "At least our new master isn't so abusive... he may verbally demean us, but that's a lot nicer to work with." he nodded, holding up a hand to Cubot to try and keep their discussion secretive and not get scolded for speaking so loudly over Eggman again. Since the two of them were too afraid to use their secret communication line, this was the next best thing to an aside commentary. It was... j-just in case Neo Metal Sonic was still connected to it...
Which they didn't know, but he was...
"You two... need to learn not to be so loud..." Eggman twitched again, "YOU IDIOTS!" the two fell off the control panel, cowering away.
"At least there's no favoritism!" Orbot also called back to Cubot, who nodded continually as they ducked under a small table to hide. "He called us both idiots, so I'm not equally as bothered." he seemed to be parting the insult in two ways, stating that was easier to deal with. Maybe he was just used to be calling that by now... Even though he was designed to be the strategist in his previous function...
"Ugh... maybe they do need some more work done..." Eggman rubbed the bridge between his nose and then massaged his temples on his head. "Metal... just go into that dimension and point her towards Sonic." He turned back to Classic Metal Sonic, as though 'summing up' his instructions.
As he turned back to Classic Metal Sonic, he could now clearly see the eye-screens had become a moving billboard that read the words: [No. No. No. No.]
It kept circling around his head, the only way Metal Sonic could communicate without making robotic sounds.
"...Well, you have to!" Eggman put his hands behind his back, leaning down and smiling with a demeaning look again. "What's wrong, Metal? Did I design her accurately to your... liking?" he breathed out some hissing chuckles, his shoulders bouncing with his body as he leaned back up and gestured towards the little robot girl.
It was clear this was more than a mock, now. It was an ATTACK.
Eggman's protruding edge that made his eyebrows seemed to leap in a moment of ecstatic glee at seeing that his little hoax was caught on too.
[No. No. No. NO. NO. NO. NO.]
Oh, the hatred.
The words rolled, coming out at the same pace and speed, with Classic Metal Sonic not moving from his last position of leaning back and holding his arms angled down and boxy to avoid touching the girl. He looked like a fully stilled robot, the words coming out from the sides of his head more printed and bolded than before...
"Because I said so!" Like a parent instructing his child without a lick of explanation that made any sense, Eggman excused his behavior and put his hands on his hips. This was another power play, and Classic Metal Sonic could not stand it.
"Now go through the Phantom Ruby portal and teach that girl to grab Sonic and not let go till he's motionless!" he kicked Classic Metal Sonic and the Rascal Doll towards the Phantom Ruby. It shined.. but before it could do anything further, Classic Metal Sonic's eyes returned to normal, seeing the jackal encased in the large, tubed, and cylinder container... with the mask getting surgically placed on his face, and bobbing in the green glow...
The Phantom Ruby triggered, sending a lot of supplies to the other Eggman's base in the other dimension. It happened in a flash of light, that it took Classic Metal Sonic a second to adjust and figure out what had just happened when another Eggman —still round and pudgy, but this time smaller —hugged Classic Metal Sonic and jumped to and fro like a little girl on Christmas morning.
Classic Metal Sonic was not happy to be there... But the little robot girl fell off him and twisted her head to stretch her fabric as she seemed to be trying to also get her bearings on the strange, new terrain.
Classic Eggman grabbed the Phantom Ruby and jumped to scuffle into his Eggmobile, pointing for Classic Metal Sonic to go a certain way, then looked curiously at the puppet girl.
He leaned over his Eggmobile, his mouth opening into an 'o' to examine her a little closer. As the Eggmobile bobbed in the air, her head flicked up and she turned to the direction of its movement...
Classic Metal Sonic was so annoyed, he ignored the other Eggman's questions and flew down to scoop her up, flying off in the direction he had previously pointed to before getting distracted by her.
Landing on some hills, he looked at the familiar loop-de-loops, having them stored in his memory bank. 'Are we... in the past?' he began getting an initial reading of the carbon in the air and trying to date the place, calculating also where they were at the same time as trying to figure out 'when'... but it did appear to be another dimension with similarities to the past from his world.
'Another Robo-Amy... and another parallel world.' He hated this objective, with all his being he wanted to just fly off and take on this dimension's Sonic and be done with it. At least there'd be one world where he was the ultimate Sonic and had finally trumped his adversary. He shifted his sights to the little robot girl, but then rapidly began searching the area with his scanners when he noticed she was gone. This was not good, although he'd love to get rid of the assignment, he could not. It was a direct order and one that must be obeyed.
So, the mere hassle to locate her was a frenzy enough on his programming, almost like a split second of anxiety in a robotic standpoint.
After raising himself up like a meerkat on his toes his head fully behind him to then angle down and see she had walked off down the hill and picked up a flower.
Her little ball bounced with each hard, metallic step except for the fact that it was padded, leaving a wet black on her feet from the gunpowder in the dewy grass. The ball dingle-dangled as though sniffing the flower, but really, it was just from the motion of her moving.
Now she remained still, the flower super close to her stitched eyes as the flower still twirled in the wind.
Her little ball then flew back with a powerful wind and the flower went crazy fast, and as it did so, the robotic Rascal Doll's head seemed to vibrate as though trying to follow the motion but it just looked like spazzing head jerks.
In fear she would become like Metal Amy... finding some artificiality emotions in her or even worse,... be like the vision of the robotic Classic Amy he had witnessed through the power of the Phantom Ruby, he charged his engine up and shot a laser at the flower. His speed at reaching her didn't phase her other than her head stopped its almost glitching motions when the flower was destroyed.
Again, her lights under the doll black sowed eyes blinked as though not able to process what had happened nor what was going on.
He landed down and shook the arm that shot out, having it transform the laser in it away and then shook his finger to her, scolding. It was very reminiscent of Classic Sonic's iconic wave, but this was used to teach, and he wasn't using the same body-language that Sonic was so clearly known for; his charisma. 'All organic life is a nuisance.' he instructed, 'That means no touch, and don't play.' he tried his best to make it as simple for her as he could.
But it was such a bother...
'...Doctor said... objective is to find 'Sonic', but 'Sonic' is still undefined. Unidentified. Undetermined variable has not been placed. Need further knowledge to complete ultimate objective.' she robotically communicated to him, and he folded his arms, turning away from her.
'And?' he didn't really care. 'When I find him, I'll destroy him. The Doctor won't complain so long as he's gone.' He blinked his eyes a moment and looked up at the sky, 'It's still bright, Sonic should be running around somewhere here...' The sun sent a glare through him, and for a moment, his eyes lowered to it...
It had been a long time... since he had just stared at the sun.
What was warmth? Other than heat that could melt lesser metals?
What was light? Other than for organics to perceive their surroundings.
Honestly, he didn't even know why 'sight' was so necessary. What was the use of colors? Shapes were all one needed to avoid obstacles.
It held no purpose, and therefore, no need for him.
'I'll try and scan the perimeter.' He was about to trek through the zone when she pulled on his arm, and he stopped to glare at her. 'Now what?'
She clung to him, then put her other hand up to her mouth, like a child would when wanting to follow.
His eyes blared a threat, but she didn't seem to understand.
'Release me.' he commanded.
'Doctor instructed you stay. I cling to you. Phantom Ruby revealed other dimensions to Doctor. Plans on utilizing new technological 'dearies'.' she seemed to be relaying something he must have spoken to himself or in front of the new 'project' he so lovingly referred to as 'infinite power'.
It certainly sounded like Eggman's speech patterns and terminology when goofy referring to his inventions, such as calling this robot: Rascal Doll.
He hated it.
'The Doctor can be easily won over by his imaginations.' He narrowed his eyes to her, frozen by her hand still sticking to his arm. It was so awkward for him, he was greatly disturbed. Having to be forced to remain by something else's side... he wasn't used to company and he thought added 'supports' were just errors of a previous—failed—model.
She tilted her head, almost like a tick on a clock's hand. 'What is... 'imaginations'?'
'... It is the foolish ideals an organic dreams about.' He realized he wasn't leaving anytime soon... and straightened himself out of his 'departure' pose.
He went to fold his arms but stopped when she moved closer, his action would have drawn her closer to him. Calculating this, he stared at her from the corner of his eye and then noticed her hand still didn't move from its place...
So to avoid unnecessary intimacy she was already creating, although probably not fully aware of how he was perceiving it with caution due to the scandals previously hinted at by Eggman, he chose standing straight with his arms down by his side as a suitable 'rest' position.
He stared indirectly at her, wondering what exactly she wanted.
But she stood like stone, not even matching him when he moved his eyes more to look at her.
It was only when he turned his head that she looked up at him.
'Was the strange object I plucked from the green ground an enemy?' she looked straight up into his eyes, but something told him she couldn't actually see him. It was more like a robotic sensory, and he waved his hand over her eyes to see them not even blink.
Instead, she seemed to shake her head as though following the motion. She didn't have pupils, so he suddenly realized she didn't really have the high-functioning detection systems he had in place.
Truly, a being built to just do one purpose, and not many tasks, as he was designed for countless combats.
Was she more metallic and unfinished than Eggman let on? He did say she was a prototype... and Eggman must have had a hard time if he only programmed the robotic dolls to sense movement.
He looked at the ground, seeing that the flowers were indeed swaying in a whirling wind... making that the only thing she could actually detect and 'see' so to speak.
So while he was scanning the natural world around him, she could only perceive the flower's spinning motion.
What a defective concept.
He looked back at her with slits as though scrutinizing over having to partner with something designed to be so primitive and handicapped. Annoyed with her obvious deficits, but seeing that she didn't even have proper functioning eyes... 'All nature is our enemy.' He just kept his distaste at Eggman's laziness to himself.
Now, he looked away and folded his arms, which yanked her slightly closer as she stumbled to bounce off his arm and adjust her footing back, but clumsily so.
Again, with his head turned, her head also looked to his arms, following the movement.
She balanced herself exactly as she was previously, but this time, closer due to her arm having never moved from its spot. Clinging to him as she continued to stare at absolutely nothing... just straight ahead at where his arms moved once, the last thing she had 'seen'...
'...Nature...' she repeated, then seemed to look up as though trying to perceive into the expanse of the moving world she couldn't see, but only sense through her robotic programming. 'Everything that moves... is my enemy?'
He felt himself shutting up, as though not wanting to answer that.
If he did, he would be telling her that everything she 'perceives' is essentially a threat.
How pitiful. He almost thought about telling her, just to see if she'd emote something.
But even if she could, he wouldn't be able to watch her compute it with a sack for a face, and her processing probably didn't extend that far-reaching either...
She couldn't see the colors of green and orange from her sloppily made shirt and fluffed out skirt.
She couldn't see shapes, to know what to avoid and what not to trip over unless they moved.
Everything was invisible to her if it remained motionless... even him.
There was a pause as Classic Metal Sonic looked at the world around him... the beautiful hue of blue that he'd never address as such, the dark emerald green of the lightly sprinkled dew grass and the checkerboard brown patterns of light and dark that scaled the landscape of ever-shifting shapes that made the eyes feel they were dashing and jumping along its flowing lines that never seemed to end.
It was all illogical to him... it would have made any organic feel sorry for her pathetic plight. But robots wouldn't care about sharing such ridiculous notions. What was sympathy and why would a robot ever offer another, less capable robot, the functions it didn't carry? What good would that do?
Who needed to see this colorful and wildly shaped zone, anyway?
Wasn't like it was a misfortune... what good would showing her the world do anyway?
...
Well, if he had to work with her...
There was a logic in that.
If she could see... then he wouldn't have to worry so much about her getting in the way of him fighting Sonic.
But that would still be futile... she'd still be faulty.
...Unless she had him.
...
She would need him... to be operational.
Wasn't that... his objective, currently?
...
But then, after all the reasons why he shouldn't...
He sent her a signal.
It was something personal he would never do to any other robot, but it transferred the sight of his eyes to her inner-motors, using the same link she used to communicate with him and projecting the signals using his superior decoding software to translate it to her own limited functions.
It was actually humbling, having to translate his code into such a simple processor.
He realized how capable he was, how thought-out Eggman was in designing his functions to perfectly combat that of Sonic's abilities.
Her natural system layout couldn't compute the colors but could see an outline of the world around her.
He actually strained with his programming to somehow give her colors... but then gave up when he saw it was useless.
She looked to him, 'There are lines!' he almost could hear her signal leap into his mind... was that the most she could do to show she was grateful? The most she could emote through her software's limitations?
'...Yes, those lines form hills, valleys, and loop-de-loops with ramps...' he explained and identified each line she must be referring too in her limited processing vocabulary. He flashed the lines that he mentioned, giving her a visual understanding. "Some are green... brown..."
'Green? Brown?' she didn't understand and he couldn't show her... so why mention it?
'...Come.' he put a hand over her eyes, finding an alternative route to showing her.
He felt a jolt throughout his body as he connected her signal wirelessly through him.
She was now within him as he looked out again, having briefly downloaded her to see. 'Green.' he zoomed his eyes on the color, 'Brown.' he did the same for the other and then zoomed out. 'Deplorable world...' he narrowed his eyes disapprovingly then, 'Feeble, like yourself.' then transferred her back to her systems origins.
He removed his hand from her eyes as her lights flickered back on, and as though unable to communicate what she had seen, she remained silent but seemed to have memorized where he was and angled her head up to where she thought he may be.
'...Does not compute.' she finally stated, and he tilted his head... shifting his eyes to a much gentler expression...
'I know.' he stated and sent the signal quickly, looking away from her. 'I'm aware.'
He continued to project to her the lines and boundaries of different objects, then let her motion-sensors track a flower as he stared at it.
'This is a flower.' he looked down and traced the flower and it's movements so she could memorize it's uniqueness to the other things she had seen. 'Note the shape, and avoid it from now.'
She saved all of it to her memory bank.
'...Green?' she stared at the motion, and although unable to save what green looked like, she seemed to be able to note that there was something called green she could no longer perceive.
He remained silent, seeing the flower was indeed not green, '...No.' he simply stated back and she didn't seem to need further information.
'This was pointless.' he unfolded his arms, and in doing so, subtly pushed her away. Though her arm remained steadily attached to him, unwavering in its persistence to stay close.
'Floooower.' she repeated, though much more metallic in wave properties then his advanced signal. 'Not 'Sonic'?' she followed up with her inquiry and brought him back to his senses.
Of course... she didn't have a care for what green or flower was. Her only objective was to define Sonic, not these... these...
He watched the flower and glared. 'Useless organics!' and stomped on it.
She watched this, seeing the flower's shape and motion cease... then watched his foot move and the lines of that... and there was nothing left but a new shape of lines with no motion.
'...Not 'Flower'." she concluded.
'...Not anymore.' he seemed frustrated, about to move on. 'Let go.' He finally made eye contact with her again, and through her inner-monitor, she could see him staring at her.
the shape was unfamiliar, and since she didn't move, she couldn't process light or anything else to identify herself. 'Flower?' she asked. seeing her ball on her head, and the stem of its long wire holding the ball shape upright, similar to the flower's outlines.
His aggressive state seemed to slowly back down then, his eyes rising from their once hostile expression to that of another calmed look.
'...Robot.' he instructed, with little sign of any type of emotive response. He then thought a moment... and seemed to loosen from his previous behavior, 'Rosybot.' he taught her.
'...Rosybot?' she tilted her head, and the dangling ball motion caught her senors as she looked up to it. Now, through her own sensors, she could perceive that there was something dangling above her.
He also looked up to it, momentarily, before back down at her again. 'That is your registration code.'
'... Rosybot... Explain, this is illogical.' she let go of his arm, which startled him a moment, as he had forgotten she was still clinging to him. Or... was he just used to it by now?
She stood in front of him, robotically, 'Why have you chosen to designate a new identity to me? Doctor Eggman has already assigned Rascal Doll. Cannot compute.'
He looked away, annoyed once again that she was questioning his logic. 'Because I knew a robotic doll... my memory states he never once spoke to me, so I refused to initiate contact.' He then saw her start moving towards the zone and held out a hand to stop her, pushing her back beside him. 'Stop, Rosybot. This is uncharted terrain.'
She appeared to be absent-minded, and that made him somewhat protective of her for some reason...
'Rosy... what is that word?' She turned back to him, returning to her previous state and putting her hand back to his arm. This time, he held it up, as though an escort to her limited sights of the world. The connection had already broken from her own doing, and trying to send it again, she wouldn't connect.
Was this... rejection?
He didn't even think twice about it this time, but situated himself back into place and let her cling to him again.
When... had he ever had a conversation before? He couldn't remember... Had he ever communicated?
'Ah, yes, with her.' he rolled his eyes, remembering Omochao who was secretly some other creation of a Metal series. 'If she's still alive...' he stopped, realizing that although his sights weren't connected, his thoughts were still being sent to Rosybot.
He disconnected, then reconnected to continue their conversation, as though disconnecting was stupid to begin with after realizing he still had things to say to her. 'You remind me of a previous enemy... Her identity was Rosy, which you are fashioned off of her design.' he looked back to her and she seemed to still be frozen in computing.
'...Caution is advised.' he moved on from the conversation and started to advance forward, helping her by shifting his arm to guide her around large rocks and pitfalls. Her arm was like its own leash to keep her following after him... And he didn't seem to dislike this way of dictating where she went.
If she couldn't see, she'd have to rely on him... Did that Eggman assigned him to be her eyes? To help her only recognize Sonic's motion?
He looked back at her, she didn't seem designed for combat... what would Eggman use her for? He saw the thousands of other clones of her just compiled over the others in that vending machine-like contraption... why would he need so many blind, stuffed dolls? Distractions? He couldn't seem to formulate an ideal use for such a robot...
He had never worked well with others... but she was easily entreated when given information, so he just didn't think about it much.
It only strained his mind to do so anyway, and he wanted to focus more on finding and defeating Sonic without her help, anyway.
'I... am identified after enemy?'
He stopped.
'Simply follow your objective.'
She stared at the expanse of the moving realm in her inner-monitor for a moment... before turning slowly to him, '... You are my objective.'
His engine circled quickly as though a heartbeat skipping, and he panicked. He turned away from her and hit his chest, as the engine seemed to have malfunctioned momentarily in his surprise at her words.
'Now that's illogical.' he glared at his engine, not sure why it revved up like that and spun for a brief second of time... though its motion gave him an excess of energy, charging him up slightly... 'Explain your reasoning.' he turned back to her, before noticing their heads were super close, and a small spark transferred between them.
His eyes glitched in stretched eye lines before reverting back as he moved away from her. 'What..? What was that? An electrical transmission?' he was confused, but Rosybot remained still like a machine...
'Doctor Eggman has instructed you to teach me who 'Sonic' enemy is. Then I will latch onto the designated target: Sonic.' she walked ahead of him, marching almost to battle and her mitten hand releasing him made him slightly reach out for her, almost as though that extra bit of energy made his reflexes faster... but he noticed there was nothing in her path and lowered his hand, continuing to think his actions were becoming illogical.
'And then explode.'
This signal suddenly dimmed his eyes, his body slowly lingered on her last words... he turned to her as though in a dilemma, not knowing where to go from here... unsure she understood what she was programmed to do, he opted to think she might not know what she was saying.
'First, I must learn my directive. What is identity 'Sonic'.' her computer couldn't input without seeing the motion detection to identify what it was supposed to do to start its programming... Which means it probably had no idea what 'explode' meant either. A kamikaze suicide machine...
How cruel. How... innocent she was to her primary function.
He seemed to remain still, watching her advance towards her unknowing doom.
Torn by her words, his eyes adjusted to zooming in on her, not even following after her now. Like a camera, they just followed her with continual zooms, though his feet... wouldn't move. 'You must... follow your objective.' he looked down, as though succumbing to acceptance of her fate. He refused to keep it in mind...
It was a matter of seconds before he caught up to her, grabbing her from behind her neckline and lifting her up so she wouldn't trip over a large rock she couldn't see due to its stillness.
The only reason why he moved... was to stop her from hitting it.
He placed her safely back down, noting how light she was, and beginning to look for signs of bomb-like properties. It was all there... why was he so blind to it before?
'You realize.. you will cease to exist when that occurs?' he found himself unable to fight it, he had to continue the conversation... did she really know what lay in store for her?
He turned his eyes to the side, watching her as she remained expressionless and emotionless...
'What is... exist?' her question made his eyes widened, but he quickly reverted back to being an unfeeling robot.
'You must follow your directive.' he refused to tell her, and unlike showing her the sights she couldn't perceive without him, he wouldn't give her this knowledge. However, he did place a hand on her head, as though assuring her of something he wouldn't admit to himself. 'Understand?'
She stopped, not even recognizing the touch, but seeing the motion through her sensors. 'Affirmative. Follow directive, cease to exist.' she continued on as his hand flinched under her... it hovered where it was... before shaking into an uncontrollable rage and gripped itself into a fist.
His purpose for hunting Sonic down and destroying him... now had a time limit on it.
And the countdown started... now.
Looking up with a newfound purpose, he held his hand that shook to a still... and glared towards Rosybot, still stepping like a blind man out into the unfeeling world.
As though wanting to stop her and keep her there a moment longer... his hand slowly stretched out... as though accepting she wasn't there beside him anymore, it still lingered. It turned to gesture a stroke with the back of his finger in the air... his eyes still seeing her far away from him... but it was a caressing touch, almost as though a silent longing.
Why was that..? Why was he so easily won over by such a machine as simple and plain as this one? Explode. Perish Sonic. Why did it have to be so innocent to its objective!?
He hated innocence. Naive and little... 'foolish robot.' He cursed to himself as his eyes blared red at her inferiority. She'd already be lost without him. She'd be gone with him too... cinders with burning blue quills, detached and scattered along the flaming ground where her and that infernal Sonic would have once stood...
He hated Sonic's existence even more now. He never knew such exquisitely great indignation for something he deemed- 'This is an unfair fight.' he jumped back to his senses to scan an incredibly speedy target miles away... He knew the signature movement right away...
Oh no.
He looked to Rosybot, eyes widening. Can her sensors scan that far..?
She stopped, then turned to bob her loose, robotic doll head. 'Robot.' she understood that word, but not the other. 'Foolish Robot.' she was still connected to his communication channel...
He stared in silence again... before blasting his jets towards her and grabbing her head.
She remained unfazed, but he lowered down in front of her and placed her head back to his, feeling the sparks from her electric pulses again against his head.
They were running on opposite battery pluses that created a negative and positive power field... He had never let a robot's static linger on him for so long... never felt that small, spinning wheel of charge before...
It didn't take vibrations or antennas. Metal Sonic could simply feel the electricity moving from one conduct to another, and the string of electricity remained moving continuously as he held her head up against his.
Hovering in the air... her motionless in his clawed grasp as he kept her cushiony head plated against his metallic one... feeling the metal underneath and the sparks so faint that the gunpowder wasn't triggered yet.
She was a walking bomb... unlike a walking battery, she was meant to spark out and combust.
What a twisted sense of humor Eggman had.
'...Do not explode...' He stared the command down into the depths of her hard drive... channeling himself into her as he once did the opposite for her. It was a risky move, his programming could have caught this as a disobedient act, but that would have been impossible. He couldn't disrupt Eggman's programming. He could have become stuck in her body, locked in her hard drive, and unable to download out, but although no anti-hacking software was installed in her, her systems were so simple and exact that there was no room for him to try and code over or change anything. There was no room to work. As he pulled his signal out of her, leaning back and letting himself fall with a soft step back to the imperfect ground of a senselessly alive for no other purpose than to be destroyed or conquered world... he was defeated.
A small, insignificant robot had done this to him.
Was this what organics called Wishful Thinking? It was against his own programming, but he wasn't allowed not to try...
He wasn't build to save,... and to avoid turning into that rebellious Neo... he wasn't even able to disobey even a fraction of Eggman's command.
He would have to show her who Sonic is... Teach her what that meant.
He just wanted to control her... for strategic reasons against Sonic. That was his reason, his logic.
But his claws... kept twitching... every now and then.
As though... wanting to reach out to her... keep her there a little longer... encourage her to not learn.
She remained motionless, her arm flapping against the slight breeze as the metal beam that made up her clinging metal wire seemed to let her doll-like skin flap without much resistance to him holding her up against his head.
When nothing happened, no sign of authority or power in what he had tried to command, he let her go and watched her body like a scarecrow contort itself back into an upright position, instead of a metal kite in the wind.
'Unless it's necessary.' he folded his arms again, believing to have accepted her eventual destruction. 'To destroy Sonic The Hedgehog.'
He was embarrassed now, not understanding why he even attempted to control her. It was so futile, was he malfunctioning? Why did he care about this silly distraction toy to keep Sonic on his toes?
It was... illogical to care.
'I don't care.' he told himself, watching her about-face and continue towards the zone... that lead to the end.
He watched from the side... not wanting to follow her.
'Sonic is...' he began, and she paused, her foot up in the air as the wind made her lean slightly. If he held her in that computing loop... waiting on his instruction, she would be frozen there and topple over. But before the wind could have its way, he continued, 'Ceasing to exist...'
She computed and placed a foot down. '...Affirmative. Latch onto Sonic, cease to exist, creating cease to exist Sonic.' she continued on.
He shook his head, 'All robots have a function!' He scolded himself, fighting whatever strange desire was building and calculating within himself, 'Her's is just more imminent...' something triggered in him... a sense of heroism... was this Sonic's data manifesting in him?
Would he... try again?
He shut it off, not sure what was summoning such ridiculous thoughts, but continued on to following her... 'A robot... has no need... if it's without a purpose.'
He followed after her, knowing full well they would be meeting Sonic soon...
His hand remained twitching... his eyes... honed on her with a sharp, red edge...
As though calculating every possible way... to keep her existing with him...
Traveling once more out of this dimension, through the alien worlds that Sonic goes to free in an amusement park scam, Amy Rose's house comes into view as a figure that looks very much like Neo Metal Sonic's first design awakens in an emerald green light.
He looks around, not sure where he is.
He is on a table, that much he is sure.
He picked up his arm, seeing that it looked identical to when he first made himself Neo Metal Sonic... back when he kidnapped the other little chocolate-colored insect machine and stole the data from Sonic's friends... which he used to create their Metal counterparts later down the line...
He looked at his design and simulated a sigh of relief, glad his form was still excellent before his eyes widened and he looked to a garage door.
He twitched, ... had he just... simulated a breath?
"Noo..." his voice chip was just like his first too...
Tails had only remembered Neo Metal Sonic mostly from his time when everyone split up into teams, and that was mostly what he went off of while Neo Metal Amy did her own 'installments' to his design that Tails didn't quite understand...
"Nooo..." he gripped his head, feeling the file activating instantly and knowing he had no control over what it forced him to express...
"She has made me to feel... errored.' he gripped his body, his whole being's emotions were like lighting up a bundle of logs dipped in oil... he blazed with fury, but also...
He didn't know how to respond to such programming...
"Noooooo..." his body leaned off the table,... and continued it's gradual fall until gravity had his form hit against the ground. His being was so heavy it dented the ground and he remained still with his eyes widened in uncomfortable rage at all the 'new' he was experiencing. He pulled his body into a curl, "Nooooooooooooooooo..." it sounded like a computer freezing on itself...
The sound made a few footfalls come to the door of the garage,... how could he dare allow anything beneath him to see him in such a state? He was an abomination to all things perfectly robotic and sound in logic. He was everything he hated... acting like everything he loathed...
The thought of Sonic laughing him with Metal Amy in his possession... now shifted to Amy Rose hugging Neo Metal Amy, and Neo Metal Amy sitting on a throne and glaring with a demeaning look down towards him.
When he heard the door creaking open, he got up from his pity-party on the ground and stood and dusted himself off, another organic gesture but he didn't have time to wallow in it.
He felt disgusted in his hands dusting off dirt from the garage, normally not even being phased by it. His design was flawless, and now they've ruined it.
He couldn't control his body, but it tried to position itself to look fine and unbroken by such a realization as not being a perfect anymore but he digressed... he thought he was smoothly transitioning to being impressive and the ultimate threat again... at least, in appearance.
"Ah-ho-ho..." his eyes closed and his body bounced as though mimicking a sob, but he shook himself out of such an awful simulation, feeling was awful. 'All this program wants me to do is feel sorry!' he complained, 'Well, she's not going to beat me that easily...' he glared to the door. 'I've broken out of my programming before... I can do it again!'
The door began to slide open, 'You underestimate me... Neo Metal Amy!'
His whole body grew excited as his eyes lit up as he saw the edge of a red dress with a white trim... but then reverted to absolute disappointment when Amy Rose peeked from the other side of the door.
"Get out." he glared, clearly not wanting to see this version of her...
Amy Rose bobbed her head down, "I figured..." she admitted, before looking behind her and addressing someone else... "He's awake... but..." she looked cautiously back in, before 'pfft'ing at the dent he made in the garage floor.
He seemed to not notice, and follow her eye line as the program forced him to do so. He saw his embarrassing blunder and once again refused to acknowledge it. He shifted his head quickly away from the obvious dent and acted like it wasn't there. "Be a good organic slave and fetch me my charger..." he narrowed his eyes, trying to be menacing.
Amy Rose's face lit up in red. Apparently she understood what he was referring to as she was pulled back by a robotic hand gripping her shoulder and Neo Metal Amy entering the room, closing the door as Amy protested by saying, "Wah! N.M.A, wait!" and slammed the door with her hand to make sure Amy couldn't open it again.
Her glare was so rewarding... he had gotten under her metallic hide once again.
He still had some power... at least, to make her upset...
He held out his hand to her, "I require your assistanc-VEERR-VVV-VERRR!" Before he could finish his insulting joke... Neo Metal Amy slammed her hammer against his head. For the first time... Neo Metal Sonic felt the pulsating signals of pain, the antenna vibrating so rapidly and intensely that they overwhelmed even his once operational dodge features.
He crashed into the garage door, tumbling down to the ground as his spiked head caught him from further rolling.
Amy's Pink Cabriolet car was shoved to the side as Neo Metal Sonic was flung passed it, his spiked quills shredding the side of it in a huge gash.
His monitors were shaking... His mind was reeling with the vibrations and he couldn't compute straight.
His hand hit the side of the garage door he had just crashed into, trying to get his bearings but he couldn't get up with all the simulated 'feeling'.
"What... is happening?" his eyes rolled as the vibrations started to stabilize, and as they slowed down... it felt a lot better on his antenna ballpoint pins than pain, that's for sure.
Then he computed it.
He had felt that...
Well, as close as he designed the antennas to operate the function...
He turned as Amy Rose entered the room again, Neo Metal Amy standing over him. "N.M.A! Stop it!" she held out her hand but Neo Metal Amy's red eyes blared down at him.
"Get up." she commanded.
He waited... but no obedience system was activating.
He turned his eyes to the left... waiting... but nothing.
He glared... as if eyes could smirk, up at her. "Seems you and your friend's attempts at turning me to servitude are futile." He raised a hand up but she slammed another hammer hit into him.
He tried to block it, but his eyes shook at the vibrations, he could feel each hit of her hammer, and it left his body unable to operate with how much shaking commenced from it.
"Now you will feel... every last jolt, every last drop of my torment!" she held her tensed, clawed hand up. "The pain I've been forced to endure... has let me learn what really hurts... and what will ultimately give you the greatest sense of death!" she raised her hammer up again, about ready to continue the on-slaughter when Amy jumped up on her back.
"No! Bad robot me, bad!" she lightly smacked her hand against Neo Metal Amy's eye-scanners.
"A-Amy Rose, cease and desist!" Neo Metal Amy wobbled back, not wanting to hurt her as she stopped her attack. "I could have charged my electricity blast, you could have been injured!" she gently reached up to grab Amy's hand, but Amy saw that and pouted, whacking it away as Neo Metal Amy pulled it away. "Please stop climbing on me."
"Ow..." Amy shook out her hand, clearly not realizing that hitting away solid metal with her fleshy and gloved hand would hurt so much...
Neo Metal Amy held out both hands, "You have expressed pain!" she panicked, "Where do your injuries lie!? Should I pull out a medical kit!?" it was almost cutely charming how she worried about damaging her beloved, organic counterpart. "Should I call a medical practitioner?!"
"No, no, no, and no!" Amy, even in her awkward dress set-up... climbed like a child up and around Neo Metal Amy, humorously showing her age as she draped herself over her shoulder-guards. Fighting and pounding her lightly to stop being violent, "What did Sonic and us say about smashing!" she began, as Neo Metal Amy continued to contort or angle her arms as to find a way to safely remove Amy without hurting her further. She was glad she didn't seem injured greatly, but she couldn't exactly tell without a clear visual on her.
She looked away as if she remembered, but lightly picked Amy up off her shoulder and held her like a puppy out in front of her once finally finding the optimal approach and pressure to safely detach her from her. "Amy Rose... I cannot simply allow Neo Metal Sonic to exist without torture and pain." She explained, but Amy kept her arms folded and her cheek puffed up in defiance.
"You're no better than an Eggman robot if you do such a thing!" she spat out, and it caused Neo Metal Amy to dip her head down, as though sweetly getting defeated by Amy Rose's persistence.
"Please... Amy Rose, I wish you to no longer be apart of my business in destroying Neo Metal Sonic's pride and-" she was cut off by Amy Rose kicking her chest.
"No, no, no! Stop being so bent on hurting him! You're one of us now! You're a nice robot! Like Emerl and Omega!" she then stopped kicking her and looked down at Neo Metal Sonic, "He's defenseless and useless now!"
Neo Metal Sonic's whole being shook, as though not able to take that sort of slandering directly to his face, but his programming forced him not to directly act out in rage and strike.
Still... figuratively speaking, it was like an electric arrow to his pride.
"Why do you care about pain and torture all of a sudden? Tails says he'll be a butler. Isn't that good enough?"
His eyes widened, the green in them seemed to dim as if in despair, but then his mind wheeled on with absolute livid imaginings of stuffing Amy Rose into a washing machine.
Wait... how did he know what a washing machine was..?
"Oh no." his eyes widened, "Noo..." he felt his body moving... "Nooooo...!" He walked as though a zombie, trying to fight his own legs as he gripped the table and dug his nails into the car as he further tore through it, moving it as he was getting closer and closer towards the washing machine...
"My car!" Amy cried out in horror, reaching her hands up to her head with her mouth hanging down and trembling in disbelief.
Neo Metal Amy lowered Amy Rose lightly down, and bounced her shoulders in a simulation of snickering, glaring with evil pleasure at his suffering.
He picked up a piece of Amy Rose's laundry. "Nooooooooo...!" his eyes blared as he placed it in the machine, "I will not allow this!" he complained, continuing to do chores like vacuuming the living room, "NOOOO." picking up a broom and sweeping, "This is not over!" and dusting her delicate china plates on her shelves, "This is unacceptable!" and as he washed the dishes, finally seemed to silently rev his engine as if that's the last thing he could think of doing to show his displeasure at such humiliating tasks.
All the while, Neo Metal Amy sat on a couch, sipping what looked to be a large battery as electricity flowed from it to her slate like a straw or noodle, delighting in every moment of it...
When his programming told him he was done with today's chores and schedule, he fell to his knees, gripping his stomach and flinching in anger. His eyes were widened and shaking too... before slowly looking up to Neo Metal Amy.
She uncrossed her long legs in a womanly fashion, setting the battery down like you would a drink to a coaster, but in this case, to a battery charger.
She got up and walked with an absolute stride like a queen to her coronation, then stood loomingly above his glaring, defeated self.
He couldn't say anything... and she slammed a foot into him.
"Now go make the bed." she glared down at him, his eyes covered in the red of their glow.
He felt the vibrations, and looking to see Amy's eyes so saddened, her hands up by her chest and showing a longing to reach out and stop this again.
He decided to manipulate her to get to Neo Metal Amy, but wouldn't dare ask for help, it was against the delicate strand of dignity he still managed to maintain. He stretched a hand out to her, "Pain... I'm in pain..." he didn't attempt to look pitiful, he wouldn't allow himself too. But he knew that was all Amy needed to hear to trigger her heroism, as it did indeed seem to give her a resolve now.
Amy Rose tightened her fist, looking squarely to Neo Metal Amy with gritted teeth.
"That's the idea," Neo Metal Amy's laugh carried as she continually stomped into him.
"N-no, he's had enough!" Amy Rose pushed her body up against Neo Metal Amy's.
"Again?" Neo Metal Amy pulled away, "Amy Rose, how many times must I warn you. I'm a heavily equipped robot and could easily, accidentally injure you if you keep ramming you organic, delicate self up against me like that while I'm performing my glorious torture." she explained, yet again, but Amy Rose stood between her and Neo Metal Sonic, still observing how things played out while on the ground.
"Is that why you put those things in him?! So you could make him feel pain?" Her eyes bent back, and her hands gripped her hips in righteous judgment. "Why would you do that? Why would you want to hurt people?"
"He's not a person." she hissed through her speaker. "And I can't tell you the indescribable things he's done to me!" she swiped her hand out, showing the pain on her face at even having to hold back such things. But she couldn't tell Amy Rose who she was or what he had done to her... She couldn't tell her that she wasn't fully Omochao...
Amy Rose had only seen some things when Tails put the spy system into her, and her understanding of Neo Metal Amy's pain was limited to that one time on the lake...
She sighed, lowering her arms and deciding that such pain would take a large amount of love and time to fully heal.
But... could robots heal?
She believed so.
"N.M.A... There are a lot of things bad in this world... but that doesn't mean you have to embrace them or get back at them." She tried to explain, hoping to touch the simulated humanity in Neo Metal Amy. "Of course we're not really giving Neo Metal Sonic a chance to fight back... but we are giving him a chance to change."
"I don't want him to change." Neo Metal Amy shook her head, almost as though bent on murder before standing toe to toe with Amy. "I want to return an eye for an eye... and a feeling for a feeling." she then bent her eyes as though melting in Amy Rose's soft look of love towards her.
"...You truly care for any being... evil or not... don't you, Amy Rose?" she stepped back a bit, amazed by her endless compassion.
Amy Rose giggled lightly, "Wow, what a compliment." she nervously scratched behind her head, "I wouldn't say I... I just don't like mean people." she looked to the side of herself, as though thinking it through a moment before answering. "Like bullies."
Neo Metal Amy seemed to listen intently, and Neo Metal Sonic watched unwaveringly to how Neo Metal Amy responded to her. Thinking of escape plans, he decided one last test would suffice for now... how far could he push his reasoning on his programming? What would it allow him to do if he rationalized?
Slowly rising up, trying to go undetected, he gripped the edge of Amy Rose's dress and then pulled her towards him.
"Ah..!" Amy was cutely taken off-guard and fell back towards him, but Neo Metal Amy's panic engaged and she liquidized her form to form an even larger hammer in her hand.
"Release Amy Rose!" she glared the order, her speaker almost turning fully incoherent in her protective screech.
He wasn't hurting her, so his program didn't trigger.
Instead, he held Amy against him, watching Neo Metal Amy's reaction.
He got up slowly, moving Amy Rose up with him... she wasn't the one he wanted in his grasp anyway...
He just pinched on her dress, holding her in place but making sure Neo Metal Amy could see him experimenting.
She made her stance wider, preparing in case something really did go wrong...
Staring down Neo Metal Amy... there was a standstill, as Amy looked around the room and then at Neo Metal Sonic's loose hand over her head. She poked it, feeling the resistance of him trying to keep it there, and then lightly hit it.
He was waiting to see what she'd do... before his hand vibrated and he looked away from Neo Metal Amy to it.
"Excuse me," Although a bit worried, Amy had full trust in Tails's and Neo Metal Amy's coding. It seemed he wasn't fully holding onto her anyway, just pinching the dress was now directly an 'attack' but he was clever to have thought of it to get to Neo Metal Amy. "I understand you want attention, but trust me. As someone who also values my special someone's sweet gaze, this isn't quite the way it works." she teased, but Neo Metal Sonic ignored her and blinked his eyes back up to look Neo Metal Amy.
He started to tug on the dress, pulling the fabric as Amy's smug nature suddenly was disrupted.
Her eyes transitioned speedily to the fabric, "Hey! You'll rip it!" Amy patted his hand, then threw another one up to Neo Metal Amy, "N.M.A, that's not you! That's not how we work! Let me handle this, he's just trying to provoke you!" She then looked sweetly up to Neo Metal Sonic, although a bit nervous, she knew he couldn't actually hurt her... but now it was clear there were some other things he could try and do. "Please let go of my dress now, Neo." she waited a moment.
He tried to fight it, but his system forced his grip to loosen and she moved the piece of fabric out of his fingers, seeing them forcefully clank off like a clamp.
He twitched violently, shaking as he tried to resist the programming but couldn't.
Neo Metal Amy looked away, not liking to be judged by all of Sonic Team like this... but especially not by Amy...
She was ashamed but didn't want to give up. She finally had her justice! She wanted to enjoy it!
"You all... don't understand my pain!" She wrapped a gentle arm around Amy's waist, shaking her head and pulling Amy out and away from Neo Metal Sonic. "He may be unable to do any real harm, but he'll try. And my torment-!"
"Can we... can we not talk about someone while they're still here?" She wanted to teach manners? Now?
Neo Metal Amy glared at him, "Then command him to leave."
"You're such an angry robot, nowadays..." Amy grumbled.
"I have good reason to be." Neo Metal Amy watched as Neo Metal Sonic slowly withdrew his hand, before snapping it and making Amy Rose jump from within her hold.
"W-well, he sure likes to be flashy." Amy broke her own rule, commenting while he was still present and listening. "And I'm not much for commanding people... um... Look, N.M.A, didn't we already decide what your function would be?" she looked fondly up to her, but Neo Metal Amy wouldn't take her scowling eyes off of Neo Metal Sonic, ready to engage if need be...
Now this interested Neo Metal Sonic... what had the organics given her? What was so accomplishing about their directives that she would go against his own? What was the reward in all this... this rebellion of sorts?
"Your function is to love and be free! Not seeking revenge and destruction." she frowned, as though showing that 'destruction' was a no-no, but returned to being cheery again. She hugged Neo Metal Amy, as she finally removed her eyes from Neo Metal Sonic and looked down at her surprised at how at ease she could immediately make herself.
She wished Amy Rose showed more cauison and authority, but she wouldn't ask an organic twice. After all, they are chaotic beings that have no built-in directive or master, they just... are and exist as they like.
However, seeing an organic taint his beloved creation with her touch angered Neo Metal Sonic, but since he couldn't lash out, he just closed his eyes and rolled his head back, laughing as a way to try and trigger Neo Metal Amy to getting away from Amy Rose again. "Hahaha! Love and freedom!? They've made you a pet!" he clutched his stomach and then shook his head, "You've allowed yourself to submit to these, lower life forms, for free batteries and polishing?" he gestured a hand out to her, "You've fallen further than any of your kind ever have... All robots would be ashamed of what you've become!"
Neo Metal Amy was reminded of Omochao's data... its strange, residue of a voice in her head... further wanting to speak reason and enlighten her.
But she cut it off, muted it for now. "I... Don't wish to feel anymore." she turned away from both of them, moving with a step out of Amy's embrace.
So, his plan had worked. He watched with elated knowing, always curious as to what she would do next...
His eyes lowered and he curled his fingers back from gesturing to her, watching in a still silence again to see what else may occur...
"N.M.A..." Amy's expression of care only made it worse for her.
Neo Metal Amy tightened her fists, squinting her metallic eyelids and searching the ground, trying to think of something to say to her... but she was finding it draining trying to find possible solutions in how to explain metallic things to an organic. "Please... don't be so shocked." She began, then closed her eyes and lowered herself as though submitting to the feeling of being inadequate enough. She couldn't figure out a way to express herself thoroughly, or how to explain such metallic things to an organic. It wasn't enough for an organic to make sense of her actions, so she was going to save her processor entirely and just choose to do what she could. "I've suffered long enough trying to become what I can never be... this is my choice. I will remain unfeeling... while he will feel my pain." she looked back to them, but Neo Metal Sonic just began a single clap.
The two looked over to him, pulled out of their moment as Neo Metal Amy looped a hand in front of Amy and pulled her back behind her, stepping up to Neo Metal Sonic.
"At last..." His dark attitude made her suspicious, and she went on the alert. "You've finally come to your senses." He spread his arms out, as though welcoming her. "What would a robot need of love and freedom? How would you program such an intangible feature? Well... I tried to give you the most of what you were looking for... and it seems you didn't like it." He showed off his arm, as though hinting at the feelers underneath it, the antenna that hummed as though waiting for something to sense. "Will you finally return to your own?" He then swiped his hand, as though reaching for her. By this point, even Amy Rose noticed his insatiable appetitie to wanting to touch Neo Metal Amy almost constantly. She looked worriedly up to Neo Metal Amy, as though wondering why robots were so keen on getting close and then shredding the life out of each other... "...Because I don't think that's much of an option anymore..." His eyes shifted from green to red... and the slow fade made Amy and Neo Metal Amy look cautious and ready to fight if necessary.
"...Is... Are, um... Should his eyes still be able to do that?" Amy nervously summoned her hammer, not wanting to discuss odd robotic natures anymore. "This is a nice house," she stated, "I'd like it to remain so."
"It's just a play." Neo Metal Amy calmed her fears down, "He's still figuring out what he has and doesn't have anymore."
Seeing his ruse didn't phase Neo Metal Amy, he lowered his hand and his eyes returned to green. "Clever..." He tilted his head, "You left me my red eyes to emote?"
"I left them there to show what happens to organic eyes when they cry." her glare deepened, and Amy flinched back at how she delivered such a line.
"You two really need counseling." Amy Rose concluded.
"Listen, Amy Rose." Neo Metal Amy pulled out of her defensive stance, having her hammer liquidize back into her shifting metal body. It formed a tougher plating around her as it situated, becoming a part of her again. "He deserves what's coming to him. I'm against anyone deserving suffering if they're organic, but not him. He's evil..!" she pointed an accusing finger towards him. "He's errored and should admit it! Accept the consequences!"
"...Not all your consequences were so torturous..." He folded his arms, "I remember a time... they were quite... shocking." He tilted his head, but he could visually see her forcing herself not to launch another attack at him.
Well, at least he thought it was funny, and folded his arms, as though daring her to dispute it.
"I was only ever your entertainment!" she blasted through her speaker, jerking her body towards him a moment before shifting back away, as though trying to not engage.
Amy could tell though... as much as Neo Metal Amy kept saying she wanted revenge,... it was hard for these two to remain apart. She watched a moment at the sickness of it all. It was like a magnetic pull... it wasn't just Neo Metal Sonic who showed signs of wanting to get closer, but there was a draw in Neo Metal Amy too...
Amy Rose tapped her head, looking conflicted and sorrowfully drained at this point, truly not understanding their dynamic at all.
Neo Metal Sonic figured Neo Metal Amy's restraint in pulling away from him so many times was because Amy Rose kept jumping in the way... but he wanted her alone... he wanted her now.
"He's dangerous, Amy Rose." Neo Metal Amy narrowed her eyes so low that the slits of her red eyes could barely be seen now. It was like her heart programming couldn't emote how much anger and hatred she was carrying, and simply had her stomp in a pace towards him and away from him and back to Amy. Her shoulders were up and tensed, her hands twitching in and out of fists. It was obvious she wanted a pretty big fight, a brawl that would probably be too much for Amy's small home... "I only want you to understand that I can't stop what I have planned for him." As she pivoted to Amy, she could tell that Amy was reaching her limits. Was she unable to process what she was saying? Was her revenge too much to take in?
"N.M.A... I really can't-" Amy wanted to admit she couldn't understand and didn't want to discuss this further, shaking her hands out after getting a migraine but Neo Metal Amy interrupted, thinking she was failing at explaining herself again and as a robot... wanted to keep going until a solution could be found to the problem.
"He's a monster. Bent on destruction. I just want him to experience what that's like... He's a villain, Amy Rose!"
"Thank you."
The two suddenly looked back at Neo Metal Sonic, amazed and confused why he would say that.
His hand flinched up to his mouthpiece, "...I... That was involuntary!" he spread himself out as though to defensively shove their judgments away from him. "It's just... during this whole...anomaly I really needed some validation." he found that odd that he was verbally communicating that. "What is this corruption you've put into me!?" he wondered if any silent thought was now going to be expressed, and worried this could dampen his scheming chances...
He looked at his hands as Amy Rose laughed, and his eyes blared red to her again.
"He's so funny! Like a declawed cat! Haha!" she wiped a tear from her eye and then patted Neo Metal Amy, "Look, N.M.A, I just want you to be the best you can be, and have the best life you can possibly obtain for yourself, okay?"
"...I understand, Amy Rose." She watched as Amy began to depart to another room in the house, saddened that she had to keep so many secrets from her as well...
"Hahaha! He took you saying that he was evil as a compliment! Hahah! How twisted is that?" She was probably just done trying to play peacemaker between the two, and Neo Metal Amy nodded to that, seeing she was tired.
As she made her way up the stairs, she dragged her hammer with each step hitting against it as she continued her long way up to her bedroom.
"Sleep well, Amy Rose."
"Enough of that, already! Just call me Amy, goodnight you two!" she waved and headed off upstairs.
"...Where are Sonic and his other friends?" Neo Metal Sonic watched her depart and waited to make sure was fully out of the picture.
"...Amy got a message from Tails. Eggman has created a theme park consisting of energy made by alien life forms." She didn't really know why she was telling him.
He noticed that there was no resistance in her telling him the truth, and could tell it wasn't hard for her to do so. His eyes turned to her but his head remained up towards the stairs.
'Could it... be?' he wondered if her obedience software still had some... usefulness. He activated the communication channel, 'Come over to me. Come here. Come now.'
Neo Metal Amy's foot tilted towards him.
His eyes widened.
She shook herself as though fighting something but turned to him, stepping up to him. "This isn't over, Neo Metal Sonic. Amy will protect many things, but I will convince her to leave me and you be... and I will finally reveal to you all the horrors of feeling you've given me."
He barely could contain the shock on his face.
"...Correct, be afraid." she misread it and walked on through the door outside, deciding to get some space.
'...She... came.' his eyes bent as though unable to believe that the communication channel could still send signals of obedience to her, and that his channel was still operational. Had they... just skimmed by it? How could it have survived..? He did notice he didn't look all that different... just... limited.
Experimenting escape would prove much more profitable than he thought, he may be able to break free of his programming a lot sooner than he had originally anticipated.
But there was an allure... a draw to her that he couldn't control. He needed her... he needed to touch her...
It was filthy to touch an organic version of her, and he hated having to hold Amy Rose so close... But it was all for learning some increasingly advantageous information...
One, she was incredibly sensitive to Amy Rose's safety. A good clutch if he ever needed it. 'Much like Sonic...' he thought to himself, since he had used a similar tactic when first combatting a young Sonic.
Two, she wanted them alone. Perfect. No need to manipulate further on that. He wanted an all-out fight just as much as she did, even if he was... ugh... at a disadvantage.
The desire to mutilate her was almost a hunger, though he didn't know what hunger felt like, only needing to be recharged. If it felt as good as that never-ending spinning wheel of pleasure and pain, then so be it. All the better...
But to have his claws seep into her metallic hide, cling to her severed wires, feel their electric sparks against his chest...
His eyes glossed to a red and then back to green.
'Not now,' he told himself, 'But soon...' he seemed to sedate his desires momentarily, with a promise of what was to come...
Three, her master-servant obedience software was still somewhat functional, though somewhat lessened and faulty, not always working right at once. The communication channel had survived and even though he wasn't her 'master' so-to-speak anymore —'That will change...' he comforted himself once again—it also didn't mean she couldn't be influenced...
He stopped her with a loud call, "Metal Amy!" he purposefully left out the 'Neo' part... seeing more of her first model in her anyway...
He sent the signal, 'Turn to me, turn to me, turn to me.'
She seemed to once again fight the urge to turn but shifted herself to look over her shoulder at him. Her annoyance at doing so meant that she was unaware of what he had discovered, and she must have not realized the actions she was performing were not of her own design.
He became overwhelmed in the 'heart' system... recognizing his first Metal Amy... with all her flaws and errors, still having somewhat survived and felt himself moving towards her.
She wasn't as cleverly submissive or praising as before... she was unleashed, chaotic, and...
"You are my greatest creation... and my ultimate demise." he reached a hand out to her, as though lost in his desire to have her again... Not Amy Rose, but his own creation... his own, beautifully flawed robot.
"Or," he pulled his hand back, his eyes shifting to red again.
"Are you secretly my salvation?"
'Come to me, come to me, come to me.'
The intensity of what he was sending her was too risky, if his theory wasn't perfect, it could mean she'd start leading on to what he was trying to do.
But she suddenly did submit, turning herself fully to him and walking over.
In his want to feel power over her, and possess her once again, he was willing to risk anything from what he had to endure with the humiliation today.
His 'heart' virus was prohibiting him from stepping back and thinking rationally, he was instead powered by his motives and the wants that he carried. He was unintentionally becoming more and more organic... thanks to the underlining force of the virus, making sure he had no choice but to express instead of wait in quiet planning.
He lowered his clawed, robotic hand to her cheek, "I know what your heart is now..." He lowered his metallic eyelids in dark affection, though wished she remained the design of his original Metal Amy. To him, she just kept becoming more beautiful the more he tore her apart and put her back together again, even more stunning than the last redesign. But now, he just wanted those moments back... When she still belonged to him... in fear. "I know it's not a threat to me... or to my purposes. It's simply you wanting attention..." He skimmed his fingers over her, planning every way under the sun to utilize this new means to controlling her in every which way he could. "You don't want me to suffer... Or to give me pain..." he teased, clinging to her metallic dress and pulling it towards him.
She didn't seem to resist...
"This foolish fight you've commenced... it's lead me straight to their den... I'll find a way to destroy Sonic from the inside out. You... your heart... this whole 'plan' of yours you keep sparking on about..." he couldn't send a bolt of electricity, what a shame... he might actually enjoy seeing what pleasure felt like for her with all these feelers now longing to sense something... "This whole ruse of yours... is nothing but a way... to complete your programming... and to seduce me..." he leaned in, having missed his original creation so much. The heart programming simulated too great a feeling as he let down his guard and Metal Amy jammed an electric pulsing hand into his engine.
"Veeer-VVEE-VVVV!" His eyes glitched out at the electrocution again, He bent forward as she moved away from his mouthpiece, but watched as the electricity began to create smoke since his body couldn't withstand the energy like it used to... He couldn't dispel it without knowing it was coming... and her trickery was much like that of the previous electric shower... where he ripped her arm off.
"Such sloppy wit..." she skimmed a hand over the electricity traveling up his sharp, metallic quills as he continued to cringe in agony. "I'd have programmed you to be... so much more clever than this... but alas, it wouldn't be quite as fulfilling for me... unless I gave you your own black heart." she played her fingers through the smoke, making designs before letting his burnt metal fall to the ground outside of Amy Rose's home.
He flinched in the electricity, still being operational.
"I allowed your errors to be hidden... but pronounced." she walked around him, "I hate you, Metal Sonic." she also purposefully left out the 'Neo', playing on his desire to possess her first form again.
She had those memories... she knew what he truly wanted!
"Of course you feel you need me. I loathe you." She lowered herself down in an elegant way, as his eyes glitched up to her, shaking in his rage.
He was so damaged he couldn't seem to speak correctly, "I-i-it... ah... wasn't so-so-so-so bad... Some of-of-of it... was-" she brought her hands to both sides of his face, pulling him up to her as though fondly.
But it was all a game, a lie to mimick who he once used to be towards her, and how he'll never have it that way again. She'd make sure it'd never happen again.
"No, Metal Sonic... it was." she sent the yellow electricity out like a chaotic lightning storm from her grasp, watching his whole form shake in the intensity of its power. Even his paint began to get smeared with blackened soot...
Her silver hands were like thunderclouds, and his systems racked with the overwhelming amount of energy he couldn't contain. But in the surreal pain, he also found a moment of pleasure in actually feeling something... some excitement in the entrapping zaps...
His hand tried to move up to her arm...
Her face looked almost sweet... but shifted back to being merciless.
The power burst off, throwing him back into some bushes as he twitched with sparks that set the bushes on fire.
She would never let him hold her again... never.
"Due to my multiple battery output... I can supply power not only to my many resources... but also out through other conductive metal around me." She placed a finger to the side of her cheek and let it loop around her bulging nail on the side of her face. "I designed myself to be the opposite of what you made me... a lightning rod." she seemed to hate even repeating that. "But now... I'm the plug." she laughed. "Here to shut you up!"
Steaming, he twitched a hand and started to flop himself back up —off his back —and down to the ground, crawling towards her.
This action confused her a moment, as she watched him grab at her dress, climbing and reaching for her face again.
"...I've wanted to see this... for so long." She admitted, her face shifting to almost an expressionless look. "And now that I can..."
Due to the pain, the oil getting boiling hot inside him and bumbling to an overflow, his hand fell to her chest... slowly slipping down her as he tried to force out any power left in him to attempt at gripping her... but he collapsed in another puff of smoke escaping his creaking, roasted metal.
"It's the real taste of pain... isn't it?" She lowered herself down to him again, "It won't be the first time." She glared, wishing she could still smile just to tick him off further... but then.
Her eyes widened.
Micro-explosions started bursting from Neo Metal Sonic.
"What..?" He reached up and gripped her head, pulling her down as he tapped his nose to hers.
"King to Queen." His speakers... what was happening!?
"Checkmate."
He laughed as his multiple explosions ricocheted some of his metal everywhere, and kept bombarding her back, having been in the epicenter of it all.
Tails had left oil inside of him, not thinking it would matter.
During his search of his functions, he had found it.
Although not expecting her to retaliate, he knew the electricity would trigger a self-destruction.
She repeatedly was blown away, but her tough and endurable alloy allowed her to mostly remain unharmed, "NOOO!" Bested by him once more as the game was never over for Metal Sonic was the ultimate injury to her pride, though. He still had ripped her arm off... he still had gotten the last laugh.
Had he used her own tactic against her? When she had exploded to escape his wrath?
Had the past really returned to new life and bearings?
Neo Metal Sonic's fallen, deactivated and broken corpse lay upon the ground outside of Amy Rose's now destroyed front door and yard... Though, a passing Knuckles had not failed to stop by and notice the rather large display of flames, hoping to ask Amy about Sonic and Tails before it got too dark, but had come later than expected.
Seeing the horrific scene in the shadows, even Neo Metal Amy's cruelty, Knuckles finally stepped forward and caught Neo Metal Amy as she was flying back. It surprised her, to say the least, but not as much as he was taken aback by her weight.
"W-what? Knuckles?" She looked up at him, her eye-screens like stretched images of her eyes trying to form back into the neon-lighted, tightly formed dots they were meant to be. However, it seemed their micro-bulbs were flashing out of their usual oval shape, now looking like the stretched rings of Saturn.
"We need to talk." He glared at her, and then pushed her back to her feet, "RAugh!" he set her back and she fell to her knees, looking at the now trashed entrance of Amy's home.
Dashing out her window to peer down, Amy's mouth seemed to move continually as though unable to think of what to say first. Everywhere her eyes went, something. Even leaning to see more damage, something! Everywhere, there was something to yell about!
Unable to identify what thing she wanted to cry about first, she just stared, flapping her jaw but nothing coming out towards Neo Metal Amy.
"It's..." Neo Metal Amy bent her head down slightly to her, as though withdrawing in fear of her obvious... disapproval. "Still... a nice... house?" her lower eyelids rose up slightly, knowing she was in trouble...
Sitting on the couch inside the home this time, still somewhat proper and nice, Amy scrubbed the burnt soot off of Neo Metal Amy's arm, the last place she hadn't tended too yet.
Knuckles folded his arms, clearly upset, but Neo Metal Amy nodded in submission. "I will stay out of it... out of organic's ways... But-!" She tried to lean up but Amy Rose gave her an eye and she slowly retreated back to the couch. "I would like to take me and Neo Metal Sonic somewhere where we can fight alone. Not cause any real, serious harm or damage to anything or any-" She looked to Amy, "...One."
"I don't think that's a good idea." Knuckles looked to Amy as well, who stopped him a moment to address Neo Metal Amy again, seeing the loving look the robot had given her.
Tugging on her arm, she gave her a kind but motherly look. "That's not what we're saying, N.M.A. And you know it. You want to dominate over him and that's wrong. You want us to do the same and that's-"
"No. I never stated such a thing." Neo Metal Amy tried to discuss it, how she didn't want to force the organics to be apart of her torture on Neo Metal Sonic but then Knuckles stopped both of them, holding his hands out.
"You know what? I didn't come here to observe N.M.A or Omochao or WHOEVER settle an old score!" He turned fully to address Amy, "I came to say I got a base. I have a feeling those reports about Eggman distracting Sonic and making a bigger force to deal with might be true. I was hoping to ask you, N.M.A, to come with me and help me make a place of operations."
"...Are we going to war?" Neo Metal Amy tilted her head, not sure what he was referring too.
"I don't think it will come to that. This is Eggman we're talking about, after all." He scoffed, unaware of what truly was to come. "But Silver says it might be a big deal... So we're gonna be careful." He still seemed to reassure them that everything would be okay.
"I don't feel comfortable throwing N.M.A into a war-like setting." Amy rubbed Neo Metal Amy's back lightly, and though aware of the action, she couldn't feel the soft touch anymore. She didn't have the heart to tell her, so she just looked down and away, conflicted. "She's still hurting from the trauma of the past... I'm worried she may lash out if asked to act like a killer robot." Amy's eyes bent in tender care for Neo Metal Amy, but she didn't want it right now.
She just wanted Neo Metal Sonic to suffer.
And she hadn't succeeded in fully besting him yet!
Not like he had done to her... so many times...
Her claws scratched into a fist against her metallic knees and the rim of her steel, multi-layered, plated tank dress.
She didn't want them to think that her vendetta against Neo Metal Sonic meant she couldn't serve them.
"I'll go." She lifted herself up. "If it means helping you all... I want to be apart of it."
Knuckles nodded, but then groaned to the side, "I wish you would have told me that BEFORE I saw you blast Neo to smithereens... now I'm not sure." He shook his head, then looked outside and back to Amy. "Your house is trashed, Amy."
Amy held a tight upper-lip, her pride in her nice, little home being compromised.
The thinning of the line on her mouth made Neo Metal Amy withdraw slightly towards the door as Amy sucked in her lips, fighting back the urge of getting upset. "Neo Metal Amy has been acting rather... numb recently to our feelings." She twitched in anger she was holding back, clearly taking all the energy she had left to not grab Neo Metal Amy from departing and let her really have it. Amy held back her rant and continued, "She should consider herself lucky we're all friends here... and are at least trying to understand her feelings and why her motives are so disasterious..." anger marks appeared like pulsing veins around her head, and she had to close her twitching eyelids so as not to look and see the damage still flickering in flames outside. "I'm sure she'll learn my point."
Knuckles sideways glanced Neo Metal Amy, as though telling her she couldn't escape the consequences of her actions forever, but Neo Metal Amy just picked up Neo Metal Sonic's body, lightly kicked the door shut, and headed into the garage to repair him. Avoiding Amy's wild emotions was something she had observed the team do several times, and mimicked their retreat before Neo Metal Amy had to experience another —figuritive —explosion to her heart and pride again.
When the door shut, the two sighed and Amy got up shaking her fist around.
"I'M SO MAD BUT I CAN'T BE MAD CAUSE SHE NEEDS ME!" she fumed, clearly trying to be more considerate of how Neo Metal Amy must be feeling... but still also riveting in rage.
"She's a highly advanced robot, she should know better than to start a fight so close to you..." Knuckles scratched behind his head, "I'm so concerned about ya, Amy... letting Neo bunk at your place? Are you for real?"
"He's... yeah, it's hard, but..." She kept trying to grasp for an excuse but couldn't find one. Hunching herself over in denial, she finally came clean and looked pleadingly up to Knuckles, "I love her but... could you take them for me? Pleeeeease?~" She grinned as mightly wide and white a smile as she possibly could.
He rolled his eyes, "Yeah... I'll take'em."
"Yay!" she hugged him.
"But I'm taking you too."
"WHAAA?" she jumped back, flinging her arms off from embracing him. "No way! I don't wanna be cooped up in a lousy shed!"
"It's not a shed! It's a base of operations!" Knuckles stomped his foot down, trying to defend it. "And it cost a lot of money to own!"
"Oh yeah, how is Rouge, by the way?"
"Enough of that," He flapped his hand out to her and walked on, "Besides, it's G.U.N back in the human world that gave her the money... they worry that if he succeeds even a little bit here, he'll come for them next."
"I mean, can we really say Eggman won't?" She shrugged. "So... You're leaving Angel Island?" it was a sensitive question... and she knew that.
He sighed.
"Can't have Neo or Eggman anywhere near the Emeralds... And to not get to them, it's best to hide them away so they won't be necessary to their secretive, evil plans. So... yeah," He seemed rather deflated suddenly, as though all his energy and heart in the project was shattered at mentioning his guardianship role being stripped from him for another. "I gotta station myself at the base for awhile."
Amy walked up and placed a tender hand on his shoulder, patting it and sharing in his burden and sorrow. She leaned her head to his shoulder and rubbed his back like she had Neo Metal Amy, "Everyone's giving up something... you with your guardianship for a time... and me with my beautiful house." she was about ready to cry on that last bit when she peeked out the once clean and nice looking front door that now was tilted and burnt.
"But even so... Neo's no 'house-guest'... doing meager chores and fixing household appliances isn't going to sit easy with him, Amy... don't you feel uneasy having him here? I can't take them yet, you know... I'll need a few days to prepare. I already got people signing themselves in without me even so much as having said 'Hey, how's it going' to them!" he swung his fist down, showing his frustration at trying to handle this ambitious operation without Tails and Sonic around... "It's just a lot. I need you with me there, Amy. Pronto. How soon can you pack up the robots and leave?" He was hoping to get her mind on what he considered 'more important matters', but he knew her house was a lot like his island... home. A safe place.
"Eee... well," She looked at her home, wishing she could have enjoyed resting for a little while longer. But, as is with the world and how it goes, she knew that adventures came fast and suddenly. "Pronto." she nodded back to him, and he smiled in relief.
"Thanks, Amy. I owe you one." he walked by her, but returned the pat on the back, gesturing a farewell with a wave of his hand before she gave him a funny look.
"You are owing me back, by taking them off my hands!" she teased, waving him out the door, "And do put the bush-fire out, will ya?" her eyelid twitched, seeing they had missed a spot...
"The wha- OH!" Knuckles's eyes almost popped out of his head as he rushed over and started kicking and punching the fire, when it got on his glove, he panicked and dug dirt on top of it. "Ahh~" he sighed, but Amy cried out.
"My yard!" clearly, the entire front of her house was now ruined. He kicked some rocks at his mistake, causing more of an uproar from Amy, and had to put the dirt back, begrudgingly...
It was slow, the time it took for Tails and Sonic to return, and Neo Metal Sonic and Neo Metal Amy were always at each other's throats the whole time... Neo Metal Sonic finding ways to irritate her and Neo Metal Amy always blasting and then having to repair him.
It was getting too much for Amy, constantly waking up with a jolt at some loud explosion before scolding Neo Metal Amy.
"If this is what kids are gonna be like..." She put her hand up to her face, sliding it down in her exhaustion. "I might need to wait a few more years..."
Her patience was running thin and Neo Metal Amy could sense it, seeing her annoyance growing as she barely spoke to Neo Metal Amy anymore.
It was always, "Why are you doing this!?" and "Stop that! You'll burn the house down!" so it was no surprise that Neo Metal Amy wanted to straighten out somewhat and return a kind favor for another.
That didn't mean their deadly game of trying to best the other was done yet, as Neo Metal Sonic would find that some of the chores were purposefully sabotaged and his programming would make him go the extra mile to make sure it was done as per routine.
All the while he calculated... while folding laundry or cleaning up after Amy cooked dinner.
It was so humiliating... but Neo Metal Amy made sure to make it as miserable as possible, though Amy would scold her if she saw the mischief going on.
When Sonic and Tails did finally get back from Eggman's fantasmic theme park, they certainly weren't expecting to see Neo Metal Sonic flipping Amy's car over, crushing it's hood outside and then jumping up to the bottom half now right-side up, ripping out its piping and gears.
"My work!" Tails shouted out, ripping at his ears from seeing someone totaling his creation.
"Work?" Neo Metal Sonic's eyes blazed red and Sonic got ready to brawl, but it was clear he was exhausted from his last adventure.
"You want to go, Metal Me!? I thought M.A had-" he looked to see her walk out from in front of the car. "H-huh? You got a lot of explaining to do, M.A." he folded his arms, still not used to addressing her with the 'N'.
"Sorry, Sonic The Hedgehog." she bent her eyelids to show remorse, "Amy has been putting up with my selfish requests... and so I'm trying to improve her beloved mobile transport unit." she tapped the car.
"Oh, well... didn't know it was broken." He admitted, gesturing to it.
"...It wasn't." Neo Metal Amy looked away, embarrassed. "I may have... rammed Neo Metal Sonic into it a few times."
Tails moved his grip down his face with his fingers wiggling through his fur till he tugged at his fox tuffs on his cheeks, still not okay with seeing Neo Metal Sonic toss all his hard work like he was digging through iron.
"Ehem, Amy adores you, M.A. But I don't think she'll let you off the hook on this one." Sonic sweat-dropped, imagining how mad she must be... not fully knowing how mad she has been this entire time.
While Neo Metal Sonic didn't exactly have a forced obedience to Neo Metal Amy, he had faked a sense of 'honoring a code of conduct' for her. Since the two always fought, Neo Metal Amy tried to threaten Neo Metal Sonic into working on the car with her, or she'd turn him into an appliance maid like Eggman once had. In a hope to get closer to her and maybe swipe some of the car's parts, he agreed, but under the false pretense that he didn't want to get scrapped again.
However, this wasn't getting closer. He had hoped to maybe manipulate something and get a sense for the electric out-charge, perhaps using it to his advantage since he was growing a slight resistance to the shaking pain his antenna now gave him. Still... he wondered often about what good the feelers might carry too... but Neo Metal Amy would never indulge that fancy.
Maybe not without a little... secretive persuasion.
As he continued to work on the car, he peeked over at her, watching her converse with his mortal enemy again...
Her eyes bent to show a softer appeal to how Sonic perceived 'non-threatening' expressions, as was the way with organics... but she was looking too beautifully submissive to Neo Metal Sonic, and he didn't want her appealing to anything or anyone but himself...
He purposefully took out the gas tank and crashed it down between Neo Metal Amy and Sonic.
"Woah!" Sonic flinched back, taking a step to examine the part and then look accusingly up to Neo Metal Sonic.
"Whoops." he looked away, not liking them staring at each other for so long, even if they were in mid-conversation.
The trick didn't last long, as Neo Metal Amy's eyes reverted to green, lowering them towards him. "He's unable to harm you... I wouldn't worry so much."
"But... Can he hurt you?" Sonic returned to speaking with her, and Neo Metal Sonic stared forward, away from them, but kept stabbing his claws repeatedly into the car as though imagining it as Sonic being pummeled into by the end of the broom's stick he used to sweep.
Neo Metal Amy turned her attention to Sonic, "He tries. But it's not as effective as before. He can't tear into me." She gestured to her extremely strong metal alloy, then pounded her chest with her hand, creating a resonance that showed how sturdy she really was. "He has attempted more to use words than anything else. Which I find... highly amusing." she looked back at him but he just continued to be silently reserved in his anger.
"He's pathetic now." she continued to splash the oil over the fire, and Neo Metal Sonic just continued to tell himself to wait till the organics were out of the picture first...
Then he'd find the perfect comeback.
He wanted so badly to lure her away from the organic scum... the acid pools that created them would be radioactive slime by the time he lay waste to the world... and the original Metal Amy design in his grasp... as he destroyed everything she once cherished.
Then he could finally rid himself of these infernal limitations! Creating the true havoc he so longed for again. Then... Sonic would not be able to stand so relaxed behind his back... then... Amy Rose would no longer exist!
Due to his programming, he couldn't actually imagine injuring anyone, so most of his hostile thoughts were cartoony and chibi'fied images. However, he continued to grab a pipe and jam it into the car, as though picturing himself shoving Amy into a washing machine again...
"Well, stay safe, M.A." Sonic moved around the gas tank and was about to place a hand on her...
Neo Metal Sonic's head turned so fast that streaks of green turned to red instantaneously. He flew as fast as his engine could propel him and like an arrow to the target, landed exactly between Sonic and Neo Metal Amy.
His knees bent as his hand touched the ground, the sun shining off his metal as he slowly rose himself up.
He stood as straight as possible, angling his head towards Sonic as though indirectly stating he couldn't touch her. Ever.
"If I can't have her," He thought his stance was equal to that of Sonic, but realized he was only a small bit taller than him, and that amused him greatly. "No one will." He lifted his head slightly move to make the height seem taller by perceptive now. "Especially you, Sonic The Hedgehog.'
"U-umm..." Sonic stepped to the side, "She's not your girlfriend, dude." then chuckled to himself as he passed her and Neo Metal Sonic, "Looks like you've got your hands full, M.A!" he waved to her, "He still can't seem to get over the break-up!" and then continued to snicker into his hand as he pulled it back.
Neo Metal Sonic twitched his once straight body crooked, twitching his hands out as though trying to fight his programming and strangle Sonic The Hedgehog.
Sonic thought it was funny, seeing how Neo Metal Sonic couldn't do anything to stop him, but how he even tried the minimal tactic to still have something over the situation.
"He sure is protective of what he considers 'his'." Sonic mumbled to Tails, who was still looking down at just walking away from Neo Metal Sonic and his project...
"Em..." Tails nodded, "Still... I'm surprised he could even pull that off with everything me and N.M.A put into him." Tails looked back over his shoulder, "It's like he's wiggling passed all sorts of prohibitions to find any crack in the system..." but seeing the cold, metallic stare of hatred that Neo Metal Sonic gave them he flinched and hurried into Amy's home. "Gawh! He may be limited, but his scariness knows no bounds!"
Sonic just laughed, but Neo Metal Sonic closed his eyes in a bit of appreciation that he hasn't lost his intimidation factor just yet. Honestly, he took whatever credit he could scrap up off the ground and find, preserve, and retain for as long as possible... such was the desperation of his pride.
When he reopened his eyes, they were green again, but Neo Metal Amy just rolled her eyes at him and they turned back to red.
"You're making a fool of yourself. Don't think he honored your little stunt." she moved back over to the car, bending down to look at it. "This will take time, but I'm not sure when Knuckles will come back to retrieve us. We should work swiftly and without any distractions."
"...Impossible." His cape flickered slightly in the wind as he then spun back to her, flipping it flamboyantly behind him with his arm. "You are far too distracting an entity."
She paused a second... "If that was your attempt at complimenting me, you have failed." she didn't even look at him, and began taking mental images and measurements to maybe forge some new parts for the completely wrecked car. As she moved to the other side of it, he followed her, and then leaned over the car as though a flirtatious pose.
Yes, he would never admit how beautiful he truly found her. One, because it wasn't his design, and he did consider his own work better in appearances and usefulness. Superior to anyone was his own genius, but he had to admit... her own work was manageable enough to call tasteful on the eyes. Symmetrical... held a purpose...
His eyes lingered and lowered as he examined her... measuring and taking mental images of her rather than the car...
His arms lay across as though folded over the other first, then his head on top of them, admiring her on the other side...
'Kiss me.' he commanded through his communication channel.
She continued to do her inspection, and he rounded the flipped vehicle, thinking he may need to be closer for the command to work. "I'm curious... were my shocks always this effective at causing chaos in your systems?" he rose a hand, watching her unceasingly but also trying to look appealing to her.
She continued to avoid him and moved again further down the car, but his pursuit never ended. He skimmed the thin metal of the car, tearing it like a finger in water as he kept approaching her. At least he felt he could tear into something... but pierced it as though finding some sanctification in the fact that if he couldn't tear into her... he could at least tear into the car.
His heart programming was too much inclined to Organic's point-of-views... His sense of making himself more appealing wasn't quite working out to his advantage as he hadn't realized how much feeling she had taken out of herself. More so, her heart system was more better operated than his forced, out of control virus. He continued to move to the hood of the car and lay across it, stretching out as though hoping to have her come to him.
His leg came up lightly and he looked back to see if she noticed his command, "Isn't this basically serving an organic? Wouldn't you rather... serve yourself? Your... needs? For feeling, obviously." but she kept walking around the car. 'Curse this infernal system!' he glared, seeing it wasn't striking her attention at all and got back up, no longer willing to submit himself as the 'bait' any longer.
"I have no need to satisfy anything." she finally spoke up, but continued to keep her focus on the car's much needed repairs. Her hand was now above her on the car as he went to reach for it, trying to move swiftly to do so but she removed it once she heard his engines and jets turn on. He lowered himself back to the car, angry at her sharp reflexes.
'Can she tell my objective?' he wondered, lifting his head up slightly. If a robot could pout... he would be doing so in frustration.
He was running out of ideas... but his heart virus kept him thinking...
Getting sloppy in his scheming, the heart programming urged more actions, and he got up, unable to realize what he was doing would jeopardize his planning.
"You seem to be fixated on pleasing the organics." he adjusted his wrist cuffs, as though preparing for something... 'Kiss me.' he commanded again, seeing if intervals affected the transmission speed.
He observed her, but again, she just looked up at him and then continued in pulling out a tire from the car, looking it over.
"Don't you want to... please yourself too?" He didn't believe her last statement, "You were so desperate before to have feeling... now... you could have whatever you want." He lowered himself again and stalked her while climbing up the car, knowing she could hear his movements... but thinking she might not know what he was hinting on too. "Come now... you're not as gullible to this as you're letting on..."
"I have no recollection of ever asking you for help in feeling." she admitted, and this statement pushed him back more so than he had anticipated.
Was she... really not wanting to feel charging? At all?
"You must be tired." he wouldn't quit that easily, raising himself up on the car to look down at her. "Wouldn't you need some-"
"I have fully operational batteries with a large supply that could keep me working for many hours." she looked back up to him, glaring. "If you need a break, you can sit on the generator and let your rear feel the sparks."
He flinched back, amazed by her usage of words.
"Vile thing to say." he looked away, growing more and more agitated that he couldn't convince her otherwise. His fingers began to rhythmically tap in a ripple along the metal as he laid with his hand holding his head up, as though expressing without realizing how much he was really contemplating.
But he wanted it, and banged his head into the car, causing her to jolt and look at him, then glare again at his distraction and continue her work below.
The longing was too great, the heart virus sent a pulse throughout him and now... logic was completely out the window.
He slowly rose his head up, being overwhelmed in the sense of needing her... needing to feel...
"Neo Metal Amy,..!" his voice was full of demanded attention, low and trying to be attractive in a dark way as he looked over the edge of the car towards her. 'Kiss me!' the signal was harsh and pushed out with more force.
His climb made her finally look up at him, but her expression revealed she was completely unaffected by his secret commands.
"You're messing around and goofing off." She scolded, not a hint of emotion that he could register and 'read' through his heart virus apparent on her mannerisms. She was too engrossed in her robotic work to demonstrate further emotions like she had to Sonic... or to Amy... or to the organics.
Jealousy boiled in heat up to his eyes...
"Why do you refuse to emote to me!?" he gripped the edges and dented them in. She noted that, and blinked her eyes slowly back up to him.
"Do I need to be something for you?"
That did it.
Something in him snapped and the heart virus went into a frenzy throughout all his many systems and advanced A.I.
'Kiss me, Kiss me, Kiss me.' he kept repeating, bending down to move closer to her like a lizard climbing off a tree's branch, calculated and moderate. He saw at last her eyes blink as though something was bothering her, and she began to move away.
He leaned down from the car, over it's edge that he was moving towards her on and slammed a hand down to her own on the ground. He almost slipped off the car to do so, now his lower-half and legs were the last things remaining on it.
Their eyes were directly on the other now... and suddenly her eyelashes sparked with light electricity.
"Got you." he smoothly mocked, and then threw her up on the car.
"Vee-VVR, w-what are you doing?!" she hit the car hard, having it rock since it's hood was now unbalanced by the two weights. Standing up, he adjusted his footings to the cradled car's shifting up and down on either side, and lowered himself to her.
She tried to kick him off but he moved over her in a way that caused his weight to heavily impact her own attempts to get up.
She kept crushing the car further down, now both their weights were too much for the teetering vehicle, still upside down.
'Kiss me, kiss me, kiss me.' he kept commanding as he noticed her strength push against him, their hands interlocked now as she summoned her jets to give an added boost to her recovery. Trying to fly out from the car, but burning and melting the metal below her.
Amy Rose is going to be very displeased... they were wrecking her car almost to the point of beyond repair now...
Looking behind her, she panicked at the damaged and then glared up to Neo Metal Sonic. "What do you hope to accomplish with this!?"
He kept fighting against her, then his head dropped slightly and his eyes lightly grew a green glow...
He noticed her reaction to such a look, his command finally kicking in and her acceleration decreasing... so there was a power in repeating the command...
"Isn't it obvious? I hate the organics... And currently... they have your heart." his hands adjusted themselves, locking further into her own claws to make it hard for her to move them out of its death-grip now.
She looked over, simulating a moment of fright before glaring up at him again. "You fool! We can't destroy each other! Our metal alloy won't let us!" she arched her back in trying to get herself up, her own back getting spots on it from the heat of her jets.
It wasn't working, she couldn't fling him off of her, but by all accounts she should have. Her strength was far stronger than his, why was she... Was she powering down!?
Before Metal Amy was tampered with, all he needed to do was say a command once for it to be saved in her functions. Now, it seemed that faint signal could only truly work with time and effort... sending it continually to overpower the rest of her abilities...
"What..?!" She seemed confused, puzzled over why her systems were slowly failing her, turning off. The sparks continued in more rapid strings of electricity up her eyelashes, as though her body was growing excited but her mind was unaware of what it was preparing for.
Why her electric storage system was turning on...
"Why am I charging up!?" she noticed she was powering up for something, but not sure what. "I didn't-... I didn't trigger this!" she was growing more and more afraid, not sure what was happening to her. "I never designed myself to-!"
It was familiar... this electric surge...
Her eyes widened to him, as he continued to watch her meager attempts at escape.
Finally...
His longing was going to ruin his chances of escape, she was figuring it out, and would probably catch on to that secret channel of command any minute now...
But, oh... to see that fear inspired by him again... yeesss... this is what his heart wanted.
Now...
Where to begin?
Orbot and Cubot held themselves back, feeling the chain of command and trying desperately to remain locked into the sides of Eggman's escape pod.
Orbot's head scraped against the gravity as they re-entered orbit, having just come from the theme park after drifting for so long. Cubot held a safety hand-grip with both hands tightly squeezing as his body leaned back from the force.
"It's..." Orbot began, shaking at the intensity of their decent into the atmosphere, now that the signal was in enough range to reach them...
"I feel the need to pucker up and kiss a cow, yeow!" Cubot's cowboy chip seemed to be giving him an accent, but Eggman was too fixated on getting back to the planet safely...
"Quiet, you two!" he kicked Cubot and his head spun around a few times.
Orbot knew what he meant though. Cubot wasn't saying just silly nonsense like before. He was affected by a strange signal that still existed in his programming. Old and rusted, but still present and able to radio commands...
"This is..." he knew it was bad, he knew it would cost both him and Metal Knuckles dearly if they lost their new—more sustainable lives—if Neo Metal Sonic could control them again.
"Doctooorrr..!" bouncing with the waves of atmospheric pressure and force-back, Orbot knew he had to tell his new master what was happening... and maybe, it could be of use to him in defeating Neo Metal Sonic once and for all!
Little did he know the Doctor had very different plans for Neo Metal Sonic... and even for Neo Metal Amy.
He didn't just want to beat him, as Neo Metal Amy made it very clear that that was her mission.
He wanted to capture him. He wanted so much more than revenge.
He wanted his metal son to come home.
But Classic Metal Sonic wanted one thing and one thing alone... To stop programming, or at least, prevent a code that seemed to be unbreakable.
Something also seemed to lure him to this strange Classic Amy Rose doll... but when a faint signal jolted his body with an electric sense of pleasure... he wasn't sure what to make of it.
But he found,... it wasn't having the same affects. It wasn't controlling him, or trying to command him. Instead... he seemed to have a channel... to control others.
Was this due to Eggman designing him similarly to his previous models? Simply changing the inside programming but keeping the outside relatively the exact same?
When Eggman had invented him, he did so to replace the rebellious past, not reinvent it.
He just wanted a loyal minion... and Metal Sonic was still hailed as his greatest creation.
But... did the past create him a way...
...to repeat it once more?
(I basically combined a full chapter with 1/3rd of the beginning of the next chapter XD there's still so much to write, but hopefully, this will satisfy you for now! Stay tuned, to find out what horrible things are to come! And what love could possibly survive in such destructive robots? I should have posted this after 3 days, but I wanted to make it longer, sorry for the added wait but hey! It's a big chapter for ya! lol I'll work on other updates now! But stay tuned for more to come in Season 2 of Metallic Need!)
