*White Base III Hanger*

Kamille switched the Zeta MP's throttle to Idle, and the speed to walk when he entered the hanger. Navigating his way to a berth, he set the throttle to Maintenance mode and exited the cockpit. The crew on board appeared to be made up of a skeleton crew. Moving past the crew who were in a hurry, Kamille spotted Kai who had just left his MS.

"That's one way to put us on our toes," Kai remarked taking off his helmet and running his fingers through his hair. "Didn't think Neo Zeon would attack so soon! Good thing we were close to the hangers!"

"Was that really Char's Neo Zeon? It felt... too sloppy and sudden an attack. Wasn't he just giving a speech?" Kamille thought back to the speech he heard on television. If the broadcast was happening live at Clearwater, did Char time it together? Or was it someone else?

"Who knows? But they had Neo Zeon colors, that's for sure." Kai waved over someone, spoke quickly about something Kamille couldn't hear, and turned back to him. "Anyways, the colony on the moon was hit as well. Thankfully we managed to fend off the attackers for the time being. In fact, some of the pilots involved in the fight were supposed to be transferred here."

Kai and Kamille began walking toward the ship's bridge.

"Just in case I said no?" Kamille knew how the Federation worked, and ever since the AEUG began to fold into it, their politics slowly melded together after the Neo-Zeon War. "I was foolish to think that the Federation would have changed after all this time." Kai looked away.

"It's not like we had a choice. If you said no, the second best option was to get other pilots and transfer them to this squad. If you said yes, we'd have you on the team alongside everyone else." Kamille wasn't having it. It was always adults and their plans and their ambitions that forced these conflicts. But he was an adult as well.

"Where are these pilots now?" Kamille felt pressure on the back of his head. It expanded suddenly and then vanished. It was hate.

"We're en route to pick them up. There are two Gundam Types with them, but they're outdated by today's standards."

Entering the bridge, Kamille saw that it was at least fully staffed. A grizzled man sat at the captain's chair. He had dark bags under his eyes, and his skin looked like it was yellowing. However, he had a sense of authority to him, and a worldliness that Kamille recognized instantly.

"Kamille, meet Captain Eiphar Synapse."

The captain stood up from his chair and shook hands with Kamille. They had a fire behind them that was like steel.

"You're Kamille Bidan. I've heard about your actions during your time with the AEUG."

"It's something I would rather not talk about."

Nodding, Captain Eiphar looked out the bridge's front window. Two, no, three tiny dots were approaching. One of them even did a fly-by past the bridge almost colliding with it. Kamille could faintly hear music before the MS flew off again.

"That guy again-!" Kai suddenly burst out angry. He left the bridge, his shoulders tensed and his hands balled up into fists.

None of them were Newtypes. Not as far as Kamille could sense. However, that pressure from before was still out there. Four and Rosamy's voices had stopped, and across empty space, there was a void that hung out there.

"What's going on? This pressure... it's unlike anything I've ever felt before. It's more like an empty vacant sensation, instead of intense pressure." Kamille couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. It was all he could do not to scream out in fear at what was out there. Balling his hand into a fist, he thought back on the end of the conflict with Scirocco. "Could it be...?! But that's impossible..."

Sitting on a stack of crates, Lieutenant Master Pierce Rayer looked up at the sky as he took a bite out of an apple.
