Sorry for disappearing for almost two years. I always postponed writing Astra's death. I didn't abandon this fanfic! I hope it won't take me that much time to write more chapters.
This chapter going to be a harsh one, it will be in the time of episode 13 of the series, which mean the episode that Astra died. It's was really hard for me to decide what I want to happen in this chapter; if I should kill Non instead of Astra, or spare both of them. But I can't write a story without drama. Besides, I want the events in this fanfic will be similar as much I could to the series, I don't want to change so many things. So, Astra will die in that chapter like happened in the series. I just hope I'll succeed to write Stella's character properly in regards to this topic.
I kinda forgot how to write Kryptonese correctly because so many time has passed, so sorry if it's really bad. But I wanted to write the Krypton scene Kara imagined in Kryptonese, I tried my best. Hope you could deal with the Kryptonese, you can find a dictionary online if you want to learn more. I translated the scene from the episode and wrote it in Kryptonese and edited it to fit in my fanfic because Stella was there too in Kara's hallucinations.

Disclaimer: The last scene has sentences from episode 14 of Supergirl, specifically the Prayer for the Dead. And there are some sentences from episode 13.

Astra's Death

Stella could hear her parents talking about the mission, the solar storm was active and the humans got nervous from it. They are one step away from winning. But mom reminded dad that Kara could interrupt them and dad said he take care of her; he used Black Mercy on her. Again, her parents had disagreements. Stella wondered what Kara sees in her mind right now, her best guess was Krypton, and frankly Stella was a bit jealous. Be under the Black Mercy is a torture, of course it is, but Stella always wanted to see Krypton. She found herself wonder lots of times what would have happen if she would have grown up in Krypton and not on Earth in a former prison-now base of her parents. Kara do have some luck, she could be home again, she can have the life in Krypton she always dreamt off, before everything that happened. It wasn't fair, Kara grew up in Krypton, Kara had thirteen years on Krypton, Kal was born on Krypton, but she had nothing. She was born on earth, that's why all her life she worked so hard to be the best Kryptonian she could be. She studied their culture, their language and she is much more Kryptonian then Kara and Kal regardless her birthplace.

"I'm assume it didn't work?" James came to Winn after Ms. Grant demanded from him to bring Kara.

"No, maybe we just should tell her the truth, after all, she knows Kara is Supergirl, we can just tell her that she is in coma by an alien plant." Winn suggested.

"I don't know, she acting like she doesn't remember Kara is Supergirl, otherwise she would have asked us if this related." James mentioned.

"She might just be very angry about Kara because she broke up with her son, so Ms. Grant probably not care about that now." Winn realized.

"I should call Alex, we need help." James decided.

Kara was very nervous. She found herself back in Krypton and didn't know why. Krypton was gone it wasn't supposed to happen. She was completely panicked. But it can't be. Her mother is dead. It's can't be possible she just talked to her mother. Someone manipulates her mind to see Krypton. She wanted it badly, she dreamt about this since the day she left, to come back to Krypton, but she knew she has to keep her mind clear and figure out what's going on. She needs to find a way to go back home, back to Earth. She ran from her childhood room, and in front of her, her father blocks her way, her mother by his side, standing together again after all these years. She found herself back in the room she woke in, her parents stand there too. Kara remembered in a childhood memory with aunt Astra and she appears in the room as well. Astra was behind this, it's all make sense, who else could manipulate her memories from Krypton besides Astra and Non? But Kara couldn't remember when did she fight with them, it's was all vague. Voices of two kids snapped her from her thoughts.

"Kara..." Kal-El said.

"Otem kryp rrip osh." Stella finished his sentence, standing next to Kal-El.

"Kal-El, Stella," Kara approached to them, "You know each other?" She asked surprised.

"Zhi, nahn kryp bem bysho." Stella smiled.

"You're on the same age..." Kara muttered and approached to them. Kal-El handed her the celestial orb so she could open it. Kara spun the orb parts until a projection of celestial bodies appeared in the room.

"Skulir Kara, otem Krypton." Kal said.

"Cheh zrhueiao." Stella said.

"It's so beautiful." Kara smiled.

Stella could hear her mother fly away from Fort Rozz. She was pretty sure it wasn't part of the plan. She decided to listen to where her mother was going. She heard her mother talking to Alex, Kara's fake sister. It was actually nice from her mother to go and help. Stella was glad her mother changed her opinion in the past few months because in the beginning her mother wanted to kill Kara and now, she told them how to save her. Stella knows Kara is inconvenience and ruins their plans, but that doesn't mean Kara needs to be dead.

She heard her mother return, acting like nothing happened, explaining to the soldiers what to do. After she finished, she heard her parents argue again, her father questioned mother. She was really worried suddenly and decided to go talk to her parents before they departed for the mission. She could arrive there very fast but decided to walk and not use her speed. By the time she arrived her parents finish talking and only her mother was in the room. It was actually better to talk only with her mother. Stella walked slowly to her room.

"Stella," her mother said her name, not expecting to see her.

"I just came to say good luck." Stella stated, in a solider stand. She wanted to speak with her mother about what she heard but she knew the roles, if she eavesdrops, she can't ask questions about what she heard.

"We will return victorious, you should go training while we're gone, after Myriad will be activate you could get out and we'll need you." Astra told her daughter who nodded in response. Stella wanted to ask if Kara won't interfere or if they sure everything will work properly but she knew she couldn't. Her father had doubts in her mother, so Stella needs to be the one who has faith in the plan right now, who has faith in her mother. She can't do anything besides nodded and go to train, knowing that her life is about to change in this very specific day.

Stella was in the training room, shooting with her heat visions on the targets who placed in the room. But she wasn't focus she was worried, because she knew Kara is probably awake now and fighting against her parents right now. She wanted to be out there and help them. Staying lock in Fort Rozz while everyone else fight was frustrating, she needed to get out and help them. Stella knew she is going to defying orders, she will be punished for that afterwards, but if her parents succeed, they will be to busy in their new world so they might forget she disobey them. She tries to listen to them, they were both fighting someone, not in the same location. She decided to go to her mother's location and flew there. She felt something was wrong, she didn't heard fighting anymore. They killed her mother!

When she arrived, she saw Kara next to her mother who was on the floor. Alex ran to Kara," Come on, Kara, we have to go. Now!" The three of them run away from there.

"Zha, jeju!" Stella called, knocking Kara from her mother with heat vision and taking her place. "Zha, zha, zha, jeju, sokao, dhehriv zha rrip!"

"Stella, inah khuhtiv, ukiemodh rrip." Astra touched Stella's face while she said her last words to her daughter right before her eyes closed forever.

Her father and the other soldiers flew to there. "Stella, what are you doing here?!" Her father asked sternly turning her to face him so she won't look at her mother.

"I was worried, I had a feeling something wrong going to happen." Stella answered, not looking at her father. She knew she can't cry, not here, not now, but she afraid to look at him, she is a solider, she can't fall apart.

"Go back, wait for me in your room." Non told her, it was more asking then ordering, Stella couldn't object, her father talked to her as a father and not as a commander, so she nodded in response and flew away quietly.

Stella went to her room right away and buried her face in the pillow. She wasn't sure how she's suppose to feel. Is she supposed to cry? She couldn't remember the last time she cried; she wasn't even sure if she ever cried before. But losing her mother is very good reason to cry. Her father or the other soldiers weren't arrived yet so they won't hear her for now. This is her only opportunity for cry, she couldn't do that in another time. She didn't know how grief felt. Feelings wasn't something her parents talk with her about; they lost the whole planet and it's didn't seem it was hard for them. What is she suppose to do? What is she suppose to feel right now? How can she start processing what just happened? She knew humans are cry, it's part of their culture. Kara is probably crying now, but not her mother died this time she has no right to mourn. Stella didn't know how much time pass when her father came to her room. She heard him so she sat on her bed as fast as she could. Only then, she felt her face wet and she did cry until this moment without she noticed. She tried to whip her tears before her father will see them in no avail, he clearly saw her tears.

"Stella, we need to talk." Her father stated and sat on her bed, holding her hands, stopping her from whipping her tears. His face was sad too, she wasn't sure if he cried but she never saw her father like that before today.

Stella wasn't sure if she remembered any other time her father was so close to her, in any other time she would be happy for a moment like this. "I know, I'm sorry, I shouldn't come there." she murmured, looking at the floor, not wanting he'll see her so broken.

"She would want us to continue our mission. Myriad is operational, she didn't die in vain." Non told his daughter, putting his hand on her shoulder.

"That's not it! I disobeyed her! She told me to stay put, and I came, I disobeyed the last thing she ever told me!" Stella snapped, now she was really crying.

"Yes, and in any other time I would scold you on that, but that not what you need right now, at least you could talk to her for the last time and that's also something." Non sighed.

"What's going to happen now?" Stella wondered.

"I'm going to arrange the funeral. You think you can do the Prayer for the Death?" Non asked.

"Yes, of course." Stella told him in serious tone.

"That's good, we'll have the two weeks of the period of mourning and then we continue with Myriad." Non informed her.

There was silence for few moments before Stella had enough courage to say what she knew she needed to say. "Jeju would want Kara to be there."

"I know, we'll go talk to her in a couple of hours after I'll prepare everything for the funeral." Non sighed.

"Ukr, I'm going with you to Kara. Don't go alone." Stella clarified.

"I know, the funeral will be right after we'll talk to her, I didn't think about doing this without you." Non mentioned.

"You should let me do the talking. You can be too intimidating for her." Stella offered.

Non looked at her, thinking about this for a moment and than he nodded, "you probably right, I'll call you, don't worry, go rest." he told his daughter and with that he left the room.

Stella and Non flew silently in the sky to National City. Non did all the arrangements to Astra funeral and now they were on their way to Kara's apartment to invite her to the funeral. They both were very bitter about that. Kara had a part on Astra's death circumstances. But blood is blood and family are family. Kara was there with her earthling fake sister, who works for the organization who arrested aliens. They burst through the window, which got opened loudly. Both kara and Alex jumped in panic from that.

"It would be so easy to kill you." That was the first thing her father said after they revealed they are in the room.

"Get out!" Alex hissed and grabbed her gun right away.

Of course, that what her father will say. But how could she blame him? It is not easy to be civil in this situation. "Ukr, don't. We agree I'll do the talking!"

"Do it." Non sighed.

"You need to come with us, Kara." Stella told her cousin.

"Not a chance." Alex stated.

"You have no part of this, human!" Non threatened.

"Ukr! Kara, jeju would have wanted you to be in her funeral. And we are coming here, trying to be civil, inviting you for the funeral. Though you don't have any right to mourn her because she was our family and you turned back this family and this is the treatment we get?!" Stella called, pointing at Alex.

Non put his hand on Stella's shoulder, "we come for Astra, not ourselves."

"Kara, no." Alex begged Kara, trying to stop her.

"I'll be alright." Kara told Alex, walking to them.

Non and Stella nodded and flew out of the window to the where the coffin was. They waited for Kara to arrive with her 'suit'.

"It is our custom for a surviving female to lead the rites. Stella, do you want to do it?" He asked his daughter with a soft voice.

"We should do this together," Stella looked at kara, who give her a small smile to sign thanks. "Do you remember the Prayer for the Dead?"

Stella and Kara put their hand on the coffin to reveal Astra's face and they both took a deep breath. They nodded to each other and started reciting together: "You have been the sun of our lives. Our prayers will be the sun that lights your way on the journey home. We will remember you in every dawn. And await the night we join you in the sky. Rao's will be done." They finished saying together, Kara was sniffing a bit, Stella succeeded to keep her feeling inside. Non nodded and let the coffin float toward the space.

"We shall observe the period of mourning. And then, Kara Zor-El, the next coffin shall be yours." Non threatened and flew away, Stella following suit.

"It was the right thing to do, jeju would have been glad we let her be part of that," Stella muttered, descending down a bit in her flying, shaking.

"I know, she would have appreciated this very much." Non nodded, grabbing his daughter's hand to support her, he saw her flying is much slower then usual, and he knew that right now she needs him as a father and not as a commander. "I'm here for you, inah." Non hugged his daughter.

"Thanks, ukr." Stella muttered to his body.

"We should go home." Non grabbed her and flew with her.

Author note: I wrote here only what will change in the chapter. Cat does know about Kara's real identity now but I think that is exactly she would act the same as in the episode; she would be harder now. Especially after she ditched her son even if now, she knew the reason. That's why it's happened the same. Winn was sure Cat is serious even though she knows Kara is Supergirl and also didn't think she would accept the heroine reason so Alex sent Hank to help like at the series.
Hope it wasn't that bad, it was really hard for me to write this chapter.
