Rummaging through my brother's closet, I grimaced pushing his shirts aside "no, nope, god no, you should really burn this one" I tell him as he watches me both annoyed and nervous.

"oh my god... who bought you this one?" I gasped, pulling out a hideous shirt as he blushed red "Aunt Tessy," he muttered as I nodded "makes more sense now."

It was Saturday night, and instead of hanging out with my friends and Johnny I was stood criticizing my twin's fashion choices after he practically begged me to help him with his date, he'd finally grew a pair and asked Ali out on a date.

Tonight I would be staying home and having a 'girls' night with my Mom after she dropped Daniel off on his date, it made you wonder if Daniel would feel the same shame and inadequacy you felt every time you were anywhere near the hills, the good side of the tracks.

Pulling out a plain black shirt and a red plaid shirt I threw them at Daniel smirking when they both hit him in the face "I guess this will have to do" you explained finding Daniel a clean pair of jeans to go with his date outfit.

"So where are you taking her?" I questioned as Daniel looked at the clothes I had picked out before he froze and glanced over at me "Uh?" watching him wide-eyed I let out a huffed laugh "You finally ask the girl you like on a date, but you have no idea where you're taking her?".

Daniel shrugged his shoulder looking embarrassed as I laughed before sighing sadly "at least you have places to go on a Saturday night" looking into my brother's mirror I played with my hair as not to look like I was missing Johnny and the guys, but from the pitiful expression in Daniel's face I think he knew.

"Kat" he started, but I interrupted him with a fake smile walking towards his door "clean yourself up and get dressed, picking your girl up late is not a good look" shutting the door behind me I quickly swept away a tear that had fallen, I had no idea if things would ever be right again and it sucked.

Quickly walking back into my own room I fell back onto my floral sheets with a sigh I was bored already and the night was nowhere near finished at least when Daniel was here I could pass the time tormenting him.

It was funny how I was never this bored before I became friends with the Cobra Kai, it was like I hadn't realized what I was missing until I had it and then lost it again.

"Katherine, I'm dropping Daniel off on his date, I'll be back soon" Ma shouted out to me as I heard her and Daniel getting themselves ready before my brother popped his head around my door giving me a small smile "Thanks Kat" nodding at him I mirrored his smile "Good luck".

After Daniel left my room I heard the front door open and shut too, a ringing sound had me jumping into the air before realizing it was coming from my aptly names 'princess phone' reaching over and picking it up I smiled when Barbara greeted me on the other end, maybe the night wasn't ruined after all.

"Hey, Kat, are you busy?" She asked making me grimace at how busy I wasn't "Uh sorta, just helping Daniel get ready for his date with Ali" I answered hearing her gasp and relaying the message to whoever was with her, I was guessing Susan and probably some of the other girls from school.

"Well we're going out, wanna come with us?" Barb questioned as I sat up quickly trying not to feel desperate about her offer until I heard familiar male voices giving her questions to ask "Who's 'we'?" I demanded, "uh well.." Barbara stuttered a little.

Knowing who the voices belonged to, I felt myself deflate, "Is that Johnny?" I asked, but I already knew it was him, and he wasn't alone I could hear the other guys arguing with each other in the background "Thanks Barb, but I'll pass" I huffed not giving her the chance to explain why she was letting the guys use her to talk to me.

Hearing a shuffling noise as if the phone was being fought over, I frowned "Barb?" I called out wondering what was going on until Johnny's voice answered me "Kat?" sighing I picked up my pillow and hugged it into my chest "Johnny I told you I needed space."

Listening to the heavy sigh in his voice I felt sad "please Kat just hear us out" Johnny begged, but I knew I had to be strong "I'm sorry I have to go" I blurted out before hanging up on him knowing if I heard his voice for any longer, I would crack.

Pushing my face into the pillow, I was holding against myself tightly; I let out a small sob as a few unwanted tears began to stain the overly floral pattern; none of this was fair.

Daniel frowned as Ali began to talk to some hotshot in a nice clean white car, if he thought seeing her parents made him feel inadequate he only felt worse seeing her speak so happily with another guy who as obviously better off than him and his family.

"Daniel, this is Eddie. Eddie, Daniel" Ali introduced the two of them with that perky smile of hers when 'Eddie' put out his hand for him to shake "How are you doing, Daniel?" trying to give a firm handshake he gave the other guy a tight smile "Good."

Daniel looked up at the sound of a weird horn and instantly died inside seeing who was pulling up in front of them in an expensive looking red car, one that he knew his sister would fall in love with.

His eyes quickly roamed the parking lot and noticed his Ma parked in the far corner, out of the way, almost as if she didn't want to embarrass him by being seen by his 'friends,' but right now he wished she had been waiting for them by the door.

"Hey, Ali! How's it going?" Daniel and Ali step forward towards the car where Susan and Barbara were sat with the Cobra Kai, minus Bobby and Jimmy, Daniel, however, was more disturbed by the vicious look he was getting from the blond leader.

Thinking about it Tommy and Dutch were also looking at him like they wanted nothing more than to leap at him from the car and leave behind no witnesses.

"Hi, guys." his date politely greeted holding onto his hand tightly "How are you doing?" Barbara questioned looking at their joined hands from where she and Susan sat tucked under Tommy's arms.

"Want to come with us?" Susan asked as she glanced up at Ali, not even acknowledging the male LaRusso, "No, I don't think so." Ali rebuffed, as the three in the back began to talk over each other almost offended that she didn't want to hang out with them.

"We'll make room." Tommy promised, taking his arms from around the two girls as he stared up at Ali who shook her head, "You guys have a good time. I'll call you tomorrow," Dutch, and Johnny gave each other a look as Daniel stood by awkwardly.

"Your little friend can come too, if it's okay with his mommy" Johnny mocked leaning on his window glaring up at Daniel as the rest of them laugh at his misfortune "maybe we can swing by and pick up Kat, oh wait she's ignoring us because of you," Dutch added his eye narrowed as the car quietens down.

Daniel feels Ali's grip tighten on his arm as he tenses; he knew they were giving him more of a death glare than usual; this was about his sister. He knew she had been avoiding the Cobra Kai since Halloween, but he never realized how close they all were, he was shocked by Dutch's almost protective aura over his twin.

He knew that none of the guys could touch him at the minute, but that was only because they wanted to fight in the tournament, what if that changed?

Dutch already seemed like an unhinged person at times, and Johnny seemed to be getting desperate for his sister's attention, and he knew she was missing them too, her being free for the first time since they moved here shows that.

As his Ma pulled up Johnny's glare grew deeper "See you around LaRusso" he said almost threateningly and pulled away before his Ma had even stopped the car "great, just great" he sighed to himself feeling Ali pull away from his grip "You could've gone."

Walking around his Ma's car his once happy date had turned sour "I didn't want to" Ali rejected as Daniel shrugged his shoulders "It's no big deal" Opening the car door for her he watched as she turned to face him "If I'd wanted to go, I would have".

"It makes no difference to me. Do what you want, I don't care." Daniel answered childishly as they both got into the car silently, both looking defeated by the turn of events.
