Hey guys it's me your everyday guy and I'm back I took a "little" break. Hello yes I'm gonna follow my guidelines and make this short. All important things will be at the end instead of the beginning. So let's just get on with the story.
"Why" my voice echoed throughout my mind. I had been unconscious so many times recently that the void had began to feel more comfortable. Although that really wasn't something to be proud of. Suddenly something pierced through the darkness. A voice called out to me "hey hey you" it called. "hey wake up" it shouted "Jessica?" I echoed back. "oh your talking" it said "Jessica your okay!" I excitedly blurted. "that's it" the voice taunted and in a few seconds I was jolted out of the void. Quite literally because when I looked over to the voice I discovered electrike. (Yes I understand that I've been spelling electrike's name wrong the last few chapters, and you don't need to remind me.) "Oh so you jolted me back" I asked the electrike. "ya, glad your back" it responded "that's go-" I started to respond then the realization hit me. I scrambled back and pointed at the canine pokemon. "you, you, you talked" I stammered. "of course" they replied "I mean what you've never spoken to anyone before?" "I mean not really, at least not any pokemon" the last part I muttered under my breath "oh well, that's strange." The canine seemed to stop and ponder the thought for a second. "Hey I didn't get the chance to ask you in the lab before it exploded but, did you happen to see a human in their with you?" He continued "you guys shared the same smell so I was wondering if you had seen each other, I quite liked that human he was nice unlike the others I hope he made it out all right." he finished with a solem look on his face "well actually" I interjected. "I know it might be hard to believe, but who am I kidding, your real, this isn't a dream, and I don't know what to believe anymore." I huffed "Hey are you okay" The canine started approaching. "Yea I'm fine" I managed to work out "as I was saying I am that human.
"I finished my sentence and looked back at him. his mouth hung low and open after a few moments of staring he began to speak again. "that is hard to believe but those people were doing odd experiments, creating and destroying, perhaps this was just the next step in their plans." He continued "I shutter to think what would have happened is if I was left there. You and your friend really were the best thing to happen to that place in a long time. Even if it ended with you looking a bit different." He ended wistfully "yeah me and my frie-" suddenly, I began to remember something. my eyes jolting wide and my brain began to race, hurting my mind. An overwhelming feeling of guilt bore down on me threatening my very soul. "Jessica!" I half shouted, I looked around the small clearing I was lying in, but as my heart sank I realized, she was nowhere to be found. I scrambled to my feet one of my legs letting out a searing pain but I gritted my teeth and began walking. "woah hey, what are you doing pal your in no shape to be moving about we gotta find a cave or something so you can recover." The concern present in his voice "I have to find her" I spat back continuing moving through the forest. My muscles burned, my injuries yearning for me to stop but my feeling told me I couldn't. The same feelings that were bringing hot tears to my eyes. That clouded my vision and dampened my fur. dangerous thoughts and voices clouded my head all repeating the same thing "this is all your fault." I wanted to scream to tell her I'm sorry and to have someone tell me it wasn't my fault, but the world is cruel and people seldom get second chances. Although hope is a powerful thing, and a voice cut through my darkness "at least let me help you then" electrike chimed in. "Thank you" I replied as I slung my arm over his back his body supporting some of my weight. And so walking together the pain in my body lessened. We searched for what little day we had left and as the night came I realized that our search would be fruitless in the dark world around us. I looked around finding a small area of trees coming to form an alcove of plants and protection. "here let's stop and rest for the night" I replied forcing a smile. Trying desperately to hide the fact that I wanted to keep looking but knowing it would be pointless. As I pushed the thick leaves out of the way I saw something that filled me with relief? Joy? A mixture of emotions swirled in my head. many smaller leaves had been formed into a small bed almost like a birds nest. However the thing that gave me such feelings was what was lying there. Atop the pile of leaves was a sleeping figure the moonlight let through the top of the trees shining down on them. the white light blending with their own white body, the body of a ralts.
I felt my body moving on its own going up to the sleeping figure. I slowly reached down and scooped her up into my arms. The wet tears returning however this time the tears were ones of joy. I slowly put her back down and turned to electrike "how about we warm up a bit" and I smiled genuinely for the first time since I had arrived.
Soon we sat around a fire burning the extra sticks and leaves we could find, and lighting it with a bit of the electric canines power. As we sat there the warm glow and the crackling warmth around us I began to speak. "Hey friend I don't believe I ever caught your name despite you helping me, and you know for that I'm grateful." The electrike paused then his tail began to wag "you know it's always good to return favors you helped me escape so in return, I owe everything to you. And to answer your question my name is Spark nice to formally meet you." We both laughed and began swapping stories, he found the human world quite interesting and I found the pokemon world quite interesting. as we continued to talk words began to dissipate till sleep overtook us and the fire smoldered to ash.
I woke up groggy the next morning rubbing the sleep from my eyes and tenaciously standing stretching my aching muscles. My leg wound seemed to have closed up at some point, leaving but a duller pain. I looked around, Jessica was still asleep a few feet away from me. However Spark was sitting near the alcoves entrance looking towards the rising sun's glittering rays. I walked up behind him sitting down next to him, he tuned his head in my direction. "goodmorning Ryan" he said optimistic as ever "goodmorning Spark" I replied, he looked out into the forest then back to me "I was thinking I was taken from my home by those men, but I have no idea how to get back there. They took me far away from everything I once knew, perhaps wandering the world won't be that bad though." Ryan felt bad for the guy after all he knew what it was like he was far from home as well. And although he had only been in the lab for a short amount of time compared to the captured mon. He could feel the yearn to try to return home to return to the life he once had. "Hey Spark I know we just met but I don't know much about this world, it could be really useful to have a guide." Spark's ears perked up as he processed what I had said then it finally seemed to click as his face lit up, his tail wagging. "What I'm trying to say is would you like to come with us." Spark was almost jumping in the air with excitement "yes, yes, yes thank you!" he exclaimed running in circles. "Alright bro settle down you'll need that energy for traveling" I said already seeing that Spark could kinda be a handful. I turned around to the sleeping area to wake Jessica when I saw her standing there already awake. "Hey how's it goi-" I was unable to finish my sentence as halfway through she rushed forward throwing her arms around me in a hug. "Ryan you're okay" she stammered "yeah I am" I returned the hug till she let go. "I thought something bad might have happened to you" she spoke with concern. "Nope I'm all good" I gave a little spin to show her, not lingering too long so she wouldn't notice my leg wound. although it had healed, there was still a bit of a scar forming. "And who is that?" she stated pointing at Spark. "Oh yeah forgot you were put last night Jessica this is Spark, Spark this is Jessica" I finished Spark bounded up to her speaking quickly "hi I'm Spark nice to meet you, how are you, I'm doing great." Jessica staired at him before mumbling "wow your bubbly" "yup" he replied shaking his head. I spoke up as the two finished their introductions "I hadn't really though about it till now but I'm not sure what to do. I want to become human again but I really have no clue where to start." Both Jessica and Sparky seemed to think about it for a minute before Jessica spoke up "well those people team Titanium I believe they called themselves did this too us. So realistically they're our best bet to get back to being human." I interjected "alright that's all well and good but how do we even find these people" It was now Sparky that chimed in "well I may know someone who could help us with that information." "Really? That could be a big help do you know where they are?" I asked excitedly "Well I unfortunately don't know where we are so I wouldn't be much help, but the person we seek lives in a place known as the splintering woods" he finished wistfully "well perhaps there's someone around that could tell us where these splintered woods are right Jessica?." I turned to look towards her only to see that she had begun to float. "Umm Jessica what are you doing?" I was puzzled "I don't know, I'm not the one doing thi-." Before she could finish her sentence she suddenly shot through the sky the almost magic force dragging her along. Instantly I was at my feet running towards her I could feel Sparky at my heels doing the same. The force was faster however and I soon began to lose sight of her, her shout echoing throughout the forest.
Hello everybody it's ThatOneGuy1209 here and I know some of you may be mad, rightfully so I was gone for nearly 2 years but I've come to redeem myself. I was gone for so long because I really felt that I wasn't doing this story justice. So I took a bit to get a better feel for writing and I do hope it shows. Anyway if any of you stuck around thank you I'm back for good (or at least till I finish my two series) so I'll continue writing from now on see you soon
