A/N: It's the fic of the month! And this is a bit spooky if you think about this chapter... I mean you'll understand why... The poll is still up but only for a few more hours...
And I dedicate this chapter to Gene Wilder, as a kid I loved Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory and as and adult I loved him in the Mel Brooks movies... And like I said you'll understand why this chapter...

Chapter 9: Swarm of the Century
The Entire Town was getting ready for a visit from Princess Celestia. Derpy, Carrot Top and Everlasting were helping with banner.
"I really don't get why Princess Luna is coming." Said Carrot Top.
"I hear rumors that she nocturnal." Said Everlasting, "Not sure which kind… the partying type or the playing videos all night."
Carrot Top stared at her.
"Seriously?" asked Carrot Top.
"She strikes me more of a video game type." Said Everlasting.
Carrot Top rolled her eyes.
That was when they noticed that they ran out of room on the banner.
"Oh man we have to start over." Said Everlasting.
"I think Twilight will let it slide." Said Carrot Top.
"I bet you bits to berries that she want us to start over." Said Everlasting.
"Oh come on, she won't make us start over." Said Carrot Top.
"Hey girls, how is the banner coming along?" asked Twilight.
They showed her the banner.
"This won't do! Start over!" said Twilight.
Twilight left to look more at the preparations.
"Told you so." Said Everlasting, "And I'd like strawberries."
Carrot Top rolled her eyes.
After finishing the banner, the two parted ways for the day and Everlasting ran into Derpy.
"So how was your pre work?" asked Everlasting.
"Fine! I just had to make sure that the post office was clean." Said Derpy.
"I had to make a banner with Carrot Top." Said Everlasting.
That was when they ran into Rainbow Dahs.
"Hey Rainbow Dash!" said Derpy.
"Hey! How your prep work going?" asked Rainbow Dash.
That was when a few little things popped out of her mane, they looked like little ball with adorable little faces, wings and little legs.
"Oh what's are those?" cooed Everlasting.
"I don't know, I got them from Twilight." said Rainbow Dash, "And I think she got them from Fluttershy… but… there was only one earlier."
"That's cool! I'll take one!" said Derpy taking a yellow one.
"I'll take the other off your hoofs too!" said Everlasting taking a pink one.
However that was when Pinkie Pie showed up.
"Hey do any of you have…" said Pinkie.
Then she noticed the three cooing over the cute little creatures.
"Seriously!" she yelled out, "Come on!"
The next morning with Twilight, she awoke to find her room filled with the little things somehow.
"What?" she asked, "Spike! Wake up! Spike!"
Spike also woke up with the things covering his eyes.
"What's going on?" asked Spike removing the cute little things.
"Where did they come from?" asked Twilight.
"I don't know. The little guy got hungry last night so I gave him a little snack. I don't know where the others came from." Said Spike who then noticed the little things messing up the library, "Oh no! They're running my hard work."
"The princess will be here in a few hours." Said Twilight, "Spike help me round these little guys out."
"What does it look like?" asked Spike having gathered a bunch of them then fell, "I know stop fooling around."
At Derpy's house. She was sleeping.
"Mommy!" said Dinky.
"yes Dinky." Said Derpy waking up.
"All the muffins are gone!" cried Dinky.
This woke Derpy up right away and checked on everything, indeed all of the muffins were gone, and their place were the things that were flying all about the kitchen.
"NOOOOOOO!" yelled Derpy at the sight of the missing muffins.
At Rainbow Dahs house, she awake to find the thing had also multiplied. And they kept hugging her in weird places, such as forming a bikini, hat and beard.
At Everlasting's house she went down to her kitchen to make breakfast when she saw the things flying around.
And then noticed a bowl of fruit missing.
"Oh good things, you ate that fruit that Carrot Top been trying to get me to eat… good things." Said Everlasting, "Don't know where the rest of you came from…"
She went to make toaster waffles which she covered in a giant pile of whipped cream.
When she was done she saw that the things were eating her breakfast.
"Oh come on!" yelled out, "Really!"
With Rarity she was currently having no problems with the cute little things.
They were flying around and actually helping her.
"These things are adorable and quite helpful." Said Rarity.
That was when one of them began to choke on something.
"Are you okay?" asked Rarity.
That was when one of them threw up… right in here eye.
She grabbed the vomit. Then the vomit formed into one of the things.
And naturally Rarity was squicked.
"Gross, gross, gross!" she cried out, "No creature so revolting is a allowed in my boutique!"
She then noticed an other vomit and the vomit reforming into another one.
She screamed in terror.
Meanwhile Everlasting was heading to Fluttershy's house due to the fact that she would be the one to know what was going on.
"Hey Evy! Applejack let me barrow her harmonica." Said Pinkie walking over to her and blowing it.
"Sorry, but I have a bit of a problem…" said Everlasting.
"You've got a real problem all right and a banjo is your only answer!" said Pinkie.
"Note to self… remember that line." Said Everlasting, "Later Pinkie… I have to go see someone about my problem."
"Hey!" called out Pinkie.
Everlasting ran into Twilight, Derpy and Rarity.
"I see we're having the same problem." Said Rarity.
"Ditto!" yelled Rainbow Dahs flying past them.
"Fluttershy knows everything about animals, so she should help." Said Twilight.
They opened Fluttershy's door and found the little things were making a mess of Fluttershy's house.
"This looks bad." Said Derpy.
The others stared at her stating the obvious.
"Fluttershy do something to control them." Said Twilight.
"I've tried everything. I know, I've tried begging and pleading and beseeching and asking politely." Said Fluttershy.
Rainbow Dash had joined them in staring at Fluttershy.
However Twilight had a far off look on her face. She was thinking about what could happen to Princess Celestia.
"Twilight! Twilight!" said Everlasting waving her hoof in front of her face.
"If we don't get these things under control then it will be total disaster." Said Twilight.
They saw the reproduction of the strange things.
"It's already a total disaster." Said Rarity.
"What do we do?" asked Derpy.
That was when Applejack and Carrot Top showed up with a cart full of apples and carrots.
"We're Fluttershy." Said Carrot Top.
"Though I don't understand why you wanted to so many apples." Said Applejack.
"I just figure that Angel's being a jerk again." Said Carrot Top with a shrug.
However that was when the thing ate all of the food that was brought off over.
"That's it!" said Twilight, "No pony could herd like Applejack!"
"Yeah! We can drive them back to the forest!" said Rainbow Dash.
Thankfully Applejack was quick on the uptake.
"I'll rassle 'em up! But I need every pony's help! Carrot, Evy take that side, Twilight, Rarity take that side. Rainbow Dash, you Derpy and Fluttershy take the top to make sure they don't fly away!" said Applejack.
"Aye-aye!" said Rainbow Dash.
"Yee-haw!" cheered Applejack.
And so Applejack began to heard them to extent they were in a big ball they rolled into the Everfree forest.
As they did Pinkie showed up.
"Pinkie!" said Twilight.
"Twilight! We don't have much time!" said Pinkie.
"You're telling me!" said Twilight, "The Princess can be here any minute."
"Exactly! That's why I need you to drop what you're doing and help me find some maracas!" said Pinkie.
"Pinkie! We have bigger problem than some missing maracas!" yelled Twilight.
"You're right! Getting a tuba should be our number one goal." Said Pinkie, "Follow me!"
Pinkie ran off, before coming back.
"I said follow me!" said Pinkie.
"Pinkie Pie, you are so random!" said Rainbow Dash.
"And you're so stubborn!" yelled Pinkie who once again ran off.
"Why don't I have a pad and pencil on me!" yelled Everlasting.
They all looked at her.
"What? I have some writer's block and writing scenes with the quirky sidekick are helping me." Said Everlasting.
They managed to get the things into the Everfree forest and made it back to Fluttershy's house.
"All right, is everyone knows what to do to make up for lost time?" asked Twilight.
They all nodded, however when they opened the door they found that Fluttershy's home was filled with the things.
"Where did they come form?" asked Twilight.
"Fluttershy…" sighed Carrot Top face hoofing figuring it out.
"I had to keep one! They're just so cute." Said Fluttershy.
The others just gave Fluttershy a look of "Really" as one of the things knocked over Applejack's hat and another knocked off Everlasting glasses.
"What do we do now?" asked Twilight.
"We can't keep rounding them all up like this." Said Everlasting.
"It's time to call the weather patrol!" said Rainbow Dash.
And so it was time for Rainbow Dash's plan.
Which was to form a tornado to suck them all up like a vacuumed.
And it was going well… that is until Pinkie showed up with some cymbals.
The tornado sucked them up creating a dangerous situation for Rainbow Dash.
She had to dodge the cymbals, which sent out of the tornado and of this caused the tornado to dissipate sending the things into the town.
"Pinkie Pie! What have you done!" yelled Twilight.
"I've lost a brand new pair of cymbals, that's what I've done." Said Pinkie.
"Oh yes, because the cymbals are oh so important." Said Carrot Top rolling her eyes.
"Well they are!" yelled Pinkie.
"Will you forget about your silly instruments for a second?" asked Twilight, "You're ruining our efforts to save Ponyville."
"Me? Ruin? I'm not the ruiner, I'm the ruin-ee!" said Pinkie who then got distracted, "Oh is it ruiness? Ruinette?"
"Come on girls there's no reasoning with her." Said applejack, "She's a few apples short of a bushel."
They all left her.
"Hey! I'm trying to tell you that the ruining is on the other hoof! If you'd just slow down and listen to me!" yelled Pinkie.
They made it back to Town to find the things eating every food in site.
"What do we do? They're eating all the food!" said Fluttershy.
"Oh no my apples!" yelled Applejack running off.
"My carrots!" said Carrot Top following her cousin.
"We have to do something…" said Derpy.
"I got it!" said Twilight, "A spell that prevent them from eating the food."
"Will it work?{" asked Everlasting, "Because it seems like something that could go horribly wrong."
"What other choice do we have?" asked Rarity.
And so Twilight began to cast the spell.
"Hey guys look, I found some tambourines!" called out Pinkie.
But still they ignored her.
Once the spell was cast, the things began to look at the food and didn't eat it.
However they began to eat everything else.
"Well the spell worked. Well their not eating all the food any more." Said Rainbow Dash.
A horrible thought crossed Rarity's mind.
"Oh no if they get into my shop…" said Rarity, "Every pony for herself!"
"Oh no! My manuscript!" yelled Everlasting realizing she had something to protect too.
With Rarity she got to her shop and found them devouring her dresses plus the whole reproduction thing.
"I'll save you!" said Pinkie overly dramatically.
However she went to rescue a recorder instead. Which only made Rarity scream.
At Everlasting house she entered to find the thing all on the floor looking sickly, as if they all had food poising.
She found her manuscript which was untouched. She grabbed her manuscript in order to protect it.
Fuffles looked at her and oinked.
"I know… I know… clean my house." She sighed, "I should get rid of these things at least."
She grabbed a broom and began to weep out of the little buggers before they recovered.
At Sweet Apple Acres the Apple family and Carrot Top were all ready to fight them.
"No woodland critter is going to eat our crops" said Applejack.
They braced them selves for them eating the crops.
However they weren't expecting them to eat the barn.
"Whoa!" said Carrot Top.
"Didn't see that coming!" said Applejack.
At the library, Twilight was phreaking out after seeing them eating the words.
She decided to ask Zecora for advice by taking one to her hut.
Back at Everlasting's house. She was protecting it from the other ponies with Derpy and Fluttershy.
"Look you can let them devour my house just because it makes them sick!" said Everlasting.
"Your house makes them sick! It's the only way!" yelled one of the ponies.
That was when Twilight showed up and looked around.
"Twilight! I need your help!" said Everlasting.
However Twilight looked around and snapped.
"All right! I have a plan!" she called out, "Rainbow Dahs I need you distract them!"
Rainbow Dash flew by screaming.
"All right! Now what we have to do is build an exact replica of Ponyville right over there! We have less than a minute." Said Twilight.
"Twilight's gone bye-bye." Said Derpy.
"Obviously… I mean come on every pony knows you have to have at least a whole night to built a replica of the town." Said Everlasting, "I mean every pony knows the story of Rockridge…"
"We're doomed." Said Twilight regaining her sanity.
They all heard music, they turned to where the music was coming from and it was Pinkie Pie with a one pony band situation.
"Pinkie! We don't have time for your…" said Twilight who then noticed all of the thing started to follow her even the ones that were sick,
It was as if they were in some sort of trance.
"nonsense?" Twilight managed to say.
Their friends had saw this too and followed Pinkie.
As they followed her they noticed Princess Celestia fly down on her chariot.
"Princess Celestia!" said Twilight.
"Twilight Sparkle, my prized pupil." Said Princess Celestia.
Some of Pinkie's music got really loud at this point.
"So… how was the trip? Hit any traffic?" asked Twilight trying not to panic.
Princess Celestia noticed Pinkie's one pony band and the strange things.
"My, what are these creature. They're adorable." Said Princess Celestia holding on.
"They're not that adorable." Mumbled Rainbow Dash.
"I'm terribly honored that you and the ponies of Ponyville has put on a parade for my honor." Said Princess Celestia.
"Parade?" asked Twilight, "Oh yes a parade!"
"Smooth." Sighed Carrot Top.
"I'm sorry, but I'm afraid that the vest has to wait until another time." Said Princess Celestia, "I'm afraid that there is an emergency in Fillydelphia, some kind of infestation."
"Infestation?" axed Twilight.
"Yes it seems some bothersome creatures have infested the poor town." Said Princess Celestia.
Twilight looked at her friends who all seemed to shrug.
"I'm sorry you all had to go through the trouble." Said Princess Celestia.
"Trouble? What trouble?" asked Twilight.
"You know the trouble you had to…" said Derpy but Carrot Top covered her mouth.
"Before I go, would you like to give your latest report?" asked Princess Celestia.
"My report?" asked Twilight.
"Haven't you found anything about friendship?" asked Princess Celestia.
"Oh yes, I have learned something." Said Twilight, "I learned that the solution to your problems can come where you least expect them. It's a good idea to stop and listen to your friends opinions and perspectives."
That was hewn there were musical clashes.
"Even when they don't' seem to make sense." Said Twilight.
"I'm so proud of you Twilight. Sparkle, and I'm very impressed with your friends as well. It sounds like you're learning from each other." Said Princess Celestia.
That was when Princes Celestia's chariot took off.
"Thank you, Princess." Said Twilight.
Once the Princess had left, Pinkie noticed this.
"Where did the Princess go?" asked Pinkie.
"Emergency in Fillydelphia." Said Twilight.
"Some sort of infestation." Said Rainbow Dash.,
"Oh no do have Parasprites too?" asked Pinkie, "Well… have tuba, will travel."
"I think the Princess has got it." Said Twilight.
"So you knew what those critters were all along the did you?" asked Applejack.
"So what were they?" asked Derpy.
"And why did my house make them sick?" asked Everlasting.
"Don't' play dumb…" said Carrot Top, "I know you know the reason."
"Well duh…" said Pinkie, "Why do you think I was trying to get all these instruments? I tried to tell you…"
"We know, and we're sorry we didn't listen." Said Twilight.
All of them gave their apologies.
"You're a great friend. Even if we can't always understand you." Said Twilight.
"Thanks guys you guys are great friends even when don't always understand me." Said Pinkie.
"You saved my reputation with Princess Celestia and most importantly you saved all of Ponyville." Said Twilight.
But they realized that Ponyville was in shambles.
"Or not." Said Twilight as Pinkie played the losing horns on the trombone.
And so Ponyville was wrecked and they would have to rebuild.
But thankfully they learned a lesson about listening to Pinkie…
Next Time: It's time to Wrap Up Winter! However Derpy's job is to bring back the birds who flew south but she got lost and runs into a couple with problems... Can Derpy help them out while trying to find her way home... meanwhile Twilight is trying to find out her place in Winter Wrap Up, will she figure it out? Find out next time!
