Many thanks to those who read and reviewed this fic. I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here Midoriya is set to make his rescue attempt but gets something more than he bargained…

Especially as he is about to get embroiled in another battle after narrowly escaping the guards following the unexpected and unintentional botch in trying to rescue the DARPA chief…

Ch. 6: Reikokuna gansuringā

Inside the elevator, Midoriya is deeply bothered by the turn of events, as he couldn't believe what happened, such as the terrorists are planning to launch a nuclear weapon and unleash it onto several countries, including Japan.

Then the DARPA chief suddenly died from what appeared to be a heart attack after telling him what he knows and where the next prisoner is located, and now a female teenager is on the loose, who seemed to be acquainted with the DARPA chief who she said that he is very healthy and has no vices.

Midoriya wondered if the DARPA chief really died from a cardiac arrest, given what the teenage girl said about the DARPA chief having no heart ailments or anything, hence what gives here, as the DARPA chief looked like having a heart attack before being given that chance to be rescued.

Sighing, Midoriya pressed the button of the elevator and directed it to take him to the basement 2 area, and once there, he checked the area to make sure that there are no guards around, and he uses Full Cowling to jump around before stealthily heading towards a corridor.

There he peered at a corner where two guards are making rounds as they said that the other prisoner looked like a senior citizen and wondered if he would last longer as he seemed to be BANGED UP after being interrogated, and agreed that he may not last longer.

"That other prisoner…he really is an old geezer…"

"Really?"

"Yeah. The bosses really gave him a hard time…"

"Geez…and we had to witness it all…it'd be better if he spill the beans…"

"Either way…he won't last for another interrogation…"

"If he doesn't CRACK first…"

"Hah."

"Heh."

Midoriya then checked the rest of the area and figured that there are no other guards around, so he uses Full Cowling and jumped towards the two guards, struck them on their heads and knocked them out before putting them inside one of the stock rooms and tied them up.

As Midoriya began to navigate the corridors, he noticed that a portion of the wall appeared to be freshly cemented and not fully solidified, and there he uses One For All 5% and smashed the said wall with minimal force to prevent a loud noise as the targeted wall crumbled.

Getting inside he finds himself in what appeared to be a fire exit-like room and there he navigated around until coming to an adjacent area where there is a huge contraption in the middle, and there he saw someone tied up, and upon closer inspection, he saw that what the guards unknowingly described is the one that the DARPA chief mentioned before dying from the apparent cardiac arrest.

"Uuuuhhhh…"

"This guy…"

"Uuuuhhhh…"

"Its just as the guards described…"

"Uuuuhhhh…"

"And he looked like he's been tortured…"

"Uuuuhhhh…"

"I better get him out of here…"

Meanwhile, the scene shifts at the holding cell where the rest of the terrorists arrived and are slightly shaken at what they saw, as their fellow soldiers lie dead from the grenade explosion, their bodies and its body parts scattered due to the explosion, and the living soldiers wondered if this intruder is really armed and dangerous, unaware of the fact that their target is an unarmed teenage boy.

"Damn…"

"What a mess…"

"So there was an intruder…"

"Is he armed…?"

"Could be…"

"This is bad…"

"Not good…"

"Oh boy…"

One of the soldiers checked the cell and found Anderson's corpse, and told the others about it, and as the terrorist soldiers checked on the body, they noted that there are no puncture wounds or any kind of injuries, and believed that the prisoner died of a heart attack based on the position of the body it was found.

"The prisoner is dead…looked like a heart attack…"

"What?"

"Seriously?"

"Damn…"

"What a waste…"

"Looks like we lost our leverage…"

"Never mind…just look at the other areas…"

"Okay…"

The soldiers then surveyed the area and prepared to dispose the bodies, while the rest went to other areas to see if the intruder is still around, unaware of the fact that Midoriya is somewhere else and found the other prisoner, where another situation is imminently about to take place.

The scene shifts back to Midoriya, where he found the next prisoner, who is identified as Kenneth Baker, and as he is checking on him, he noticed that Baker is tied up on a support pillar, which wires are attached, and there Baker, who appeared to be in pain, managed to warn Midoriya that the place is rigged with C4 explosives.

"No! Don't touch me!"

"Eh?"

"The whole place is wired! There are C4 explosives all over!"

"!"

"Make a single wire vibrate and we'll be killed off!"

"Blast…"

"S-save yourself…!"

"But…"

Then a man, who appeared to be in his mid-to-late 40s, appeared, and confirmed what Baker said, and told Midoriya if he lay a finger on Baker, the C4 will explode, not only would it kill Baker, but it would cause the room to collapse, and Midoriya won't have time to evacuate, and tells him to keep his distance if he wants both himself and Baker alive.

"I wouldn't lay a finger on him if I were you…"

"…"

"So better back off for now."

"You…you did this…?"

"Got a problem?"

"…"

"Then stop complaining."

"Damn you…"

The man, who appeared to be of Russian descent, is seen clothed in a duster, spurs, a trench coat and gunbelts, the traditional garb of gunslingers in spaghetti westerns, as well as a black armband on his left arm, and wields the Colt Single Action Army revolver, which he refers to as "the greatest handgun ever made".

He introduced himself as Revolver Ocelot, and he challenge Midoriya to a duel, saying that he is interested to see if the boy has what it takes to BE A HERO, and describe him as PATHETIC after seeing his televised performance at the UA Academy Sports Festival, which Ocelot said that seeing Midoriya flicking his fingers like SHOOTING A SLINGSHOT is like playing with a toy gun, and this made Ocelot feel that Midoriya is mocking gunslingers.

"After seeing you at the televised UA Sports Festival...that eight-man tournament match…it makes me want to puke…"

"…"

"The way you use your Quirk is like playing with a pellet gun…and I'm baffled as to why you had the guts to come here…"

"This guy…he thinks I'm just like that during my match against Todoroki…okay…I should make him think that this is the case…so I could catch him off-guard…"

"And this makes me feel insulted…as a gunslinger…"

"What…?"

"And since you're here…this is a good opportunity…."

"What are you…?"

Ocelot then brought out his weapon and opened fire, demonstrating his superb gunslinger skills, and though it appears that Ocelot intentionally missed, Midoriya became alarmed as he finds out that Ocelot has a Quirk that is seemingly identical to that of the pro-hero Snipe, except that it is quite advanced.

Ocelot smirked and told Midoriya that he guessed right, and there he said that after taking out Midoriya he will travel to Japan and challenge Snipe to a duel and show who is the better gunslinger, much to Midoriya's apprehension, seeing that Ocelot is very skilled with guns.

"That's right. You'll be my stepping stone…"

"Eh?"

"You're going to be my target practice…"

"What are you…?"

"Once I kill you, I'm going after Snipe...and once I kill him as well…my reputation would make me popular…"

"You're crazy!"

"Now then, listen up…"

"…"

Ocelot then told Midoriya that they better get the show on the road as he revealed that the timers on the C4 explosives are set to tick down in five minutes, shocking the teen boy and demanded to know why would he do that, which Ocelot said that he wanted to see if Midoriya is really a good shooter based on how he did during his duel with Shoto Todoroki at the UA Academy Sports Festival.

He even said that tension would make one bring out the BEST in that person and Ocelot said that he is confident that Midoriya is not a good shooter but wanted to see how he performs. What Ocelot didn't realize is that since Midoriya's internship with Gran Torino, the teen boy now uses Full Cowling and only flicks his fingers to SHOOT as a last resort, and having managed to control his Quirk to an extent, Midoriya believe that Ocelot thinks that Midoriya would injure himself like what happened during his duel with Todoroki.

Midoriya decided to make Ocelot think that this is the case as he needed to do a surprise attack and disarm Ocelot and chase him away as fast as he could in order to disarm the C4 explosives and save Baker from meaningless death.

"So, are you up to the challenge?"

"Lets get started."

"Oooohhh…confident now, are we…?"

"I'm going to save this man…"

"You'll have to beat me first…"

"I will."

"Heh…I like that tone…"

"…"

Smirking, Ocelot then armed himself and began shooting, and Midoriya activated the Full Cowling and jumped away, where he managed to avoid the bullets' trajectory, but Ocelot sneered that Midoriya cannot keep dodging them as he reminded the boy that the time is limited and now they have 4.5 minutes left.

Ocelot kept on firing as Midoriya kept using Full Cowling to avoid the bullets, but then the shooting stopped, and peering, Midoriya saw that Ocelot is reloading his gun, and realized that he now has a chance to strike and went forward, but Ocelot ran away and created some distance as to get enough space to fully load his gun, and tauntingly asked Midoriya why wasn't he SHOOTING, as well as mockingly asked if he is afraid of losing his fingers, reminding him that they now have three minutes left.

"What's the matter, kid?"

"…"

"Getting jitters?"

"…"

"Afraid of losing your hand?"

"…"

"You should have thought about it before having the nerve to sneak your way here!"

"…"

Realizing that time is running out, he tried to get a closer distance and attempted to flick his finger while aiming at Ocelot, but he hesitated as Ocelot moved quite fast and Midoriya realized that if he hits the wrong target he might accidentally set off the C4 explosives and everyone here would be killed, and there Ocelot mocked Midoriya for being a failure as he cannot stop them from their plans and for being unable to save Baker.

"No matter what you do, you can't win!"

"…"

"You're helpless!"

"…"

"You're a failure!"

"…"

"And both you and the old man will die!"

"…"

Hope you liked this chapter, as Midoriya appeared to be in an unexpected situation. What was supposed to be another rescue mission turn into another complication as his second target to rescue is in danger while getting to face the first stage boss…and Ocelot is revealed to have a Quirk that is somewhat superior to that of Snipe…
