Many thanks to those who read and reviewed this fic. I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here Midoriya is set to make another rescue attempt but gets something more than he bargained…
Especially as he is about to get embroiled in another battle after narrowly escaping the battle with Revolver Ocelot and following the unexpected and another unintentional botch in trying to rescue the second prisoner…and now the stakes are higher and dire than before…as he is about to engage in another BOSS BATTLE…

Ch. 9: Kagaku-sha o mitsukeru
Inside the tank, two terrorist soldiers in cold-resistant soldier uniforms, are seen calibrating and loading the tank she'll, while the driver is seen, which the man is bald, and its skin tone and accent shows that he is an Inuit, and there he is told that Midoriya won't be an easy target yet the Inuit said it is fine.
"He's no ordinary kid…"
"He moves faster than a bunny…"
"It doesn't matter. Just target him with everything you got."
"You sure?"
"It appears that he has a Quirk…"
"Regardless…we will take him down. Do it now."
"Yes sir…"
"Yes sir…"
"Good."
The Inuit is identified as Vulcan Raven, and there he told the two soldiers to focus on Midoriya and disable him as possible, saying that they are under STRICT ORDERS to capture him alive, possibly to extract information, which the two soldiers nodded in acknowledgement, seeing that Raven orders are strict and came from the OVERALL LEADER.
"I don't care how you do it. Just disable him. Even if it means amputating that boy's legs."
"Yes sir…"
"Yes sir…"
"Remember…the BOSS wants him…no matter what."
"Yes sir…"
"Yes sir…"
"Now do it."
"Yes sir…"
"Yes sir…"
Midoriya is seen using Full Cowling to evade the tank shells while avoiding the areas where the landmines are hidden, but Midoriya realized that he can't keep dodging forever and needed to find a way to disable that tank, so that he and Melissa would advance and find a way to seek out Hal Emmerich.
Melissa was hiding behind a huge, thick boulder, and as she observe the scene, she noticed that Raven is partially exposed while preparing to fire the Gatling gun that is connected to the tank, and through observation she sensed that the tank has built-in sensors, and decided to take a risk, as she brought out Chaff grenades and sneak behind the tank before removing the safety pins and threw the Chaff grenades into the interior of the tank.
There the sensors and other electronic equipment of the tank froze, and the two soldiers told Raven of the situation, which surprised him to an extent.
"Sir!"
"Sir!"
"What is it?"
"The computer and scanners are malfunctioning!
"We can't navigate!"
"What?"
"Something is causing it!"
"And we don't know why!"
"…"
Seeing that the tank stopped moving, and Melissa scampering away, Midoriya decided to take the chance and went towards the tank, and executed the TEXAS SMASH, and the impact was strong enough to cause the tank to overturn, just as Raven managed to bail out, and as the tank overturn, the two soldiers were pinned to death.
Midoriya then carried Melissa as he uses the Full Cowling to leap out of sight, not bothering to check the tank, as Melissa told Midoriya what she did, and he thanked her for the assist, but tells her that things might get a bit difficult from hereon, which she assured that she is prepared for it.
"Thanks, Melissa…"
"Its okay…"
"But…"
"Things might get complicated from hereon…"
"Its fine. I'm prepared."
"Really?"
"Really."
"I see…"
Midoriya continue to use Full Cowling as he and Melissa leaves the scene as snow began to fall again which began to cause low visibility, and there Raven watched Midoriya as he and Melissa are soon out of visual range, and secretly contacted someone, informing that person that Midoriya is indeed someone not to be taken lightly.
"Its just as you said…that boy is not to be taken lightly…"
"Told you so…"
"As predicted…he is heading northward…"
"Let him."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah. He will soon be dealt with."
"Fine."
"…"

A few minutes later, Midoriya and Melissa arrived at their destination, which is the Nuclear Warhead Storage Building, and upon arriving there they noted that more guards are seen making their rounds, which Midoriya was quite dismayed as he wanted to avoid unnecessary confrontations as much as possible, though Melissa said that she knows of a way, saying that she heard from the guards that Emmerich is at the 2nd floor basement.
"Huh? Really?"
"Yes."
"How did you…?"
"I overheard from the guards when they imprisoned me."
"…"
"So I sort of figure out much…"
"I see…"
"Lets go."
Nodding, the two teens went in, and managed to avoid the guards while Melissa led him towards the elevator, while using an invention to temporarily disable the CCTV cameras so she and Midoriya can safely head towards the elevator and entered.
After toggling the button, they went to the 2nd level basement as they stealthily navigate their way around, searching every corner to see if there are guards around, until coming towards a corner where Midoriya is prepared to take a peek, and the moment he sees any guards there he would use Full Cowling to knock them out.
But before he could make a move, he and Melissa were startled upon hearing the guards screaming in agony, as if they were being attacked by someone, which surprised Midoriya as only he and Melissa are the only ones who are fighting the terrorists.
"AAAAAAAIIIIIIEEEE!"
"KKKKKKKYYYYYAAAAAHHH!"
"GGGGGGGYYYYYYAAAAAHHHHH!"
"WWWWWWWAAAAAHHHHH!"
"AAAAAAAIIIIIIEEEE!"
"KKKKKKKYYYYYAAAAAHHH!"
"GGGGGGGYYYYYYAAAAAHHHHH!"
"WWWWWWWAAAAAHHHHH!"
Seconds later things went silent, which made Midoriya and Melissa feel suspicious and cautious, and as the two teens went towards the source, Midoriya was taken aback while Melissa had to keep her composure as they are greeted with a gruesome scene, where eight guards are laid on the floor, disemboweled and laying in a pool of blood.
Upon inspection, they noted that the guards were sliced to death, as half of them were decapitated and others were stabbed on their chests, which made Midoriya wondering until recalling what happened earlier during his battle with Ocelot, which Melissa notes his surprised and cautious expression.
"…"
"Midoriya…?"
"…y-yeah…?"
"Are you okay…?"
"Yeah…I'm fine…"
"You sure…?"
"Yeah."
"…"
Then they heard someone wailing inside the room near them, and Melissa realized that it could be the one they are looking for, and the two teens went inside, and saw a man with glasses backing against the wall until someone else MATERIALIZE, and Midoriya stared wide-eyed as it was the Cyborg Ninja who indirectly help in saving Baker earlier, and Melissa asked Midoriya if he knows the other entrant, which he told her what he knows.
Melissa stared at the Cyborg Ninja, seeing that he is quite advanced technologically, and is wielding a katana sword and there the Cyborg Ninja stalks the man, who is revealed to be Hal Emmerich, and he trembled in fear as the Cyborg Ninja began asking questions that didn't make sense to Emmerich.
"Wh-wha…what…what is this…?"
"Where is he…?"
"Huh?"
"Where is my friend…?"
"I…I don't know what you're…"
"Where is he…? I must know…"
"Honestly…I don't know…"
"Answer me…"
As Emmerich is shaking in fear, he asked what does the Cyborg Ninja want, seeing that the intruder is carrying the sword and the scientist thinks that he is targeted, and pleaded for mercy saying that he hasn't done anything other than doing OFFICE WORK, though the Cyborg Ninja said that it is irrelevant and insignificant, as all he wants is to FIND HIM.
"Wh-wha…wait…I…what are you…I'm not doing anything bad…just doing…office work…"
"Your situation is irrelevant. Now…where is he…?"
"Huh?"
"Where is my friend…?"
"I…I don't know what you're…really…!"
"I don't care. Now where is he…? I must know…"
"Honestly…I don't know…"
"Answer me…now."
By then Midoriya stepped forward and tells the Cyborg Ninja to stop, saying that Emmerich is innocent and has nothing to do with what the terrorists are doing at this time, surprising Emmerich as Melissa helps the scientist up and escorts him away as she sensed that something bad is about to happen.
There the Cyborg Ninja confronted Midoriya, pleased that he has seen him and now they can SETTLE THINGS PRIVATELY without interference from anyone else, which baffled Midoriya as he asked the Cyborg Ninja who is he and why he knows about him, as he is sure that no one within this base has identified him.
"I am pleased to see you, Deku. I've been waiting for you."
"How…how did you know my…"
"We have fought before…"
"What? Who are you?"
"Neither friend nor foe…I'm back from the world where words are meaningless…"
"Eh…?"
"I've removed all obstacles. Now you and I will battle to the death."
"What?"
The Cyborg Ninja then demanded to Midoriya to fight him, claiming that by doing so would he find respite, and said that he did the FAVOR by eliminating the soldiers outside this room, which Midoriya realized that the Cyborg Ninja was the one who killed the guards, and there he tells Midoriya that there is no turning back as this battle must be met with no defiance.
"I've come from another world to do battle with you."
"Why? What is this about? Revenge? I never met you before…"
"Its nothing so trivial as revenge. A fight to the death with you. Only in that can my soul find respite. Therefore…I will kill you…or you kill me."
"You can't be serious!"
"Whatever you say…it makes no difference."
"I…"
"What will it be, Deku?"
"…"
Midoriya clenched his fists as he finds himself facing another battle, and realizing that time is of the essence, for he is sure now that Ocelot would alert the other guards, they might make their way here, and take Melissa and Emmerich away, thus compromising his mission and the safety of the world.
Hence, Midoriya reluctantly accepted the Cyborg Ninja's challenge, which the latter is pleased with the turn of events now that he got what he wished for: a duel with Izuku Midoriya. A duel where either one of them kills the other.
"Good. Now we can settle this…"
"Just leave that man alone. I need him alive."
"Only if you can defeat me."
"Fine. I'll comply with your request."
"Good. Let us begin."
"…"
"Now…make me feel it…make me feel alive again!"

Hope you liked this chapter, as Midoriya and Melissa narrowly escaped a possible battle with Vulcan Raven…only to step into another BOSS BATTLE as they managed to find Emmerich…and it is the Cyborg Ninja who indirectly help in defeating Ocelot, but the Cyborg Ninja demanded a duel with Midoriya.
Moreover, it appears that the Cyborg Ninja knows Midoriya due to addressing him as Deku, which only those in Japan knows of Midoriya's hero name. With time is of the essence, Midoriya decided to fight the Cyborg Ninja…
