Ch. 10: Saibōgu ninja to gekitotsu

As Melissa took Emmerich to a safe distance, he asked her what is going on, and there she reluctantly told him of the current situation, in which terrorists have taken over this place and are in the midst of trying to activate a nuclear weapon and sending them to select countries to cause casualties unless a ransom is met.

Emmerich couldn't believe what he is hearing, and there Melissa told him that she too didn't believe it at first until Midoriya told her what is really happening, especially after Anderson and Baker died by a suspected HEART ATTACK, which Emmerich said that it is impossible given that both Anderson and Baker were healthy, no vices and that a few weeks ago they underwent executive checkups and they were told that they do not have any heart ailments whatsoever.

"I am sure…Baker and Anderson are perfectly healthy!"

"Yes, so did I..."

"Then how did they…?"

"Unless some external factors triggered it…"

"What…how…?"

"Right now Midoriya is trying to avert a possible crisis…"

"That boy…?"

"Yes…"

The scene shifts at the corner of the room, where the Cyborg Ninja confronted Midoriya, pleased that he has found him and then demanded to Midoriya to fight him, claiming that by doing so would he find respite, and said that he did the FAVOR by eliminating the soldiers outside this room, which Midoriya realized that the Cyborg Ninja was the one who killed the guards, and there he tells Midoriya that there is no turning back as this battle must be met with no defiance.

"I've come from another world to do battle with you."

"Why? What is this about? Revenge? I never met you before…"

"Its nothing so trivial as revenge. A fight to the death with you. Only in that can my soul find respite. Therefore…I will kill you…or you kill me."

"You can't be serious!"

"Whatever you say…it makes no difference."

"I…"

"What will it be, Deku?"

"…"

Midoriya clenched his fists as he finds himself facing another battle, and realizing that time is of the essence, for he is sure now that Ocelot would alert the other guards, they might make their way here, and take Melissa and Emmerich away, thus compromising his mission and the safety of the world.

Hence, Midoriya reluctantly accepted the Cyborg Ninja's challenge, which the latter is pleased with the turn of events now that he got what he wished for: a duel with Izuku Midoriya. A duel where either one of them kills the other.

"Good. Now we can settle this…"

"Just leave that man alone. I need him alive."

"Only if you can defeat me."

"Fine. I'll comply with your request."

"Good. Let us begin."

"…"

"Now…make me feel it…make me feel alive again!"

Midoriya braces himself as the Cyborg Ninja brandishes his katana and went forward, intending to attack, prompting Midoriya to activate his Quirk's Full Cowling to get some distance, but the Cyborg Ninja seemingly anticipated this and began to catch up and closes the distance before doing a sword slash, which Midoriya was taken aback and managed to avoid the sword slash.

He then attempted to do a Delaware Smash but the Cyborg Ninja appeared to have anticipate this and was able to do a counterattack and did a vertical slash, narrowly misses his target yet the tip of the blade caught Midoriya's left cheek, causing a bit of a cut and started bleeding, and Midoriya is baffled as to how the Cyborg Ninja was able to predict what he is about to do.

There the Cyborg Ninja said that he can predict what Midoriya can do WITH A BLINK OF AN EYE, which Midoriya was mentally surprised, as this made him recall something, and as the Cyborg Ninja went after him, Midoriya just evaded him and tried to focus, and there he is mentally shocked as something hits his thoughts, and couldn't believe what he just suspected.

"No way…it can't be…! This guy is…!"

As the Cyborg Ninja is trying to corner Midoriya, Melissa was watching the battle, and seeing that the attacker is indeed a cyborg, a thought hit her as she opened her bag and brought out some Chaff grenades, which Emmerich asked what she is trying to do, which Melissa said that this might help Midoriya in beating the Cyborg Ninja.

"What are you…?"

"Helping Midoriya!"

"With grenades? You'll just blow up…"

"They're Chaff grenades! It'll disrupt that thing's sensors!"

"You think that'll help!"

"Yes…so wait here!"

"…"

"I'll be careful!"

Melissa then removed the safety pins and threw the Chaff grenades towards the Cyborg Ninja, and as she had hoped, the Chaff grenades began to disrupt the Cyborg Ninja's body since part of his body are mechanical, and there he is starting to convulse while clutching his head, dropping his katana, and there Melissa tells Midoriya to use this chance to make a comeback.

"Midoriya!"

"Melissa!"

"I used the chaff grenades! That thing's sensors have been disrupted!"

"…I see…"

"Use this chance!"

"I got it!"

"Do it now!"

"On it!"

Nodding, Midoriya uses the chance and began to perform the following techniques to land some strong blows in an effort to disrupt and weaken the Cyborg Ninja, in which he performed the following moves in succession:

- Delaware Smash

- St. Louis Smash

- Michigan Smash

- Detroit Smash

- Colorado Smash

The blows were strong, and while it didn't do much to dent the cybernetic body, the Cyborg Ninja was rattled, and there he is forced to retreat, as the effects of the Chaff grenades are affecting his senses, and as the coast is clear, Melissa and Emmerich approached Midoriya, noticing that he is in a state of shock, and there a worried Melissa asked Midoriya what is the matter.

"Midoriya!"

"…"

"Huh? Midoriya…?"

"…"

"Are you okay…?"

"…"

"What's the matter…?"

"…"

He waved a hand as he tells Melissa to wait as he activated his codec and contacted Nezu, and as Nezu asked what is wrong, Midoriya told the UA Academy principal about his battle with the Cyborg Ninja and what he just discovered, which Nezu stared wide-eyed in surprise at what Midoriya just said, which Melissa and Emmerich blinked their eyes as Midoriya continue to tell Nezu his discovery.

"Principal…the Cyborg Ninja…"

"What about it, Midoriya?"

"It was Sir Nighteye!"

"What?"

"The Cyborg Ninja was Sir Nighteye!"

"That can't be! Are you sure?"

"There's no doubt about it!"

"Calm down…"

Nezu is bothered by what Midoriya said, that the Cyborg Ninja is Sir Nighteye, but the principal told Midoriya that Sir Nighteye died and was already buried when Midoriya was among those who attended his funeral, but Midoriya said that the Cyborg Ninja was able to predict his moves and said about predicting it WITH A BLINK OF AN EYE, which is the same function of Sir Nighteye's Quirk.

Nezu is disturbed by this, but wanting to make sure, he told Midoriya that he will request for a re-autopsy on Nighteye's body just to be sure, which Midoriya nodded and said that he and Melissa now has Emmerich, and there Nezu tells Midoriya to ask Emmerich what he knows, as his help would be needed in trying to stop the terrorists.

"Midoriya…talk to Mr. Emmerich…"

"…"

"Ask him what he knows…he might provide a way to stop those terrorists…"

"Okay…"

"Tell him of the current situation so he would know what is happening right now…"

"Yes, I understand…"

"And try to get him out of that base…"

"Yes sir."

After that, Midoriya approached Emmerich and asked him about what he knows, and there Emmerich reluctantly told Midoriya that he is unaware of the fact that terrorists are here, as he believed that the soldiers here are actual government army men who are protecting the base, and when Midoriya told Emmerich what is really going on, Emmerich was in a state of disbelief upon realizing that he is unknowingly aiding the enemy, and said that he will help by gathering information while using the stealth camouflage device to stay invisible and see what Intel he could gather.

Midoriya nodded and tells Emmerich to be careful as there are some who possess Quirks and that as of the moment he has no idea how many of those special terrorist members have Quirks, which Emmerich nodded in acknowledgement.

"…and that's the current situation at this time…thus you need to be careful…"

"Okay."

"You need to avoid getting seen and getting caught."

"Okay."

"If things get out of hand…get out of this base and get help…"

"Okay."

"Good. Just be careful."

"Okay."

Emmerich gave Midoriya his codec frequency so that they can stay in touch, and then he left, leaving Midoriya and Melissa behind, and the two teens are now pondering their next move, where she suggested on where to head out next, which Midoriya asked her if she is sure about coming along, as he is worried that she might get hurt, given that they have no idea how many terrorists are there, not to mention that so far Revolver Ocelot is the only one to reveal his Quirk.

"Are you really sure about this?"

"Yes. I want to come along."

"But…it might be dangerous…"

"I'll manage…and I'll be careful."

"Melissa…"

"I'm ready…and you'll need help…"

"…"

"…"

Seeing that Melissa is prepared for whatever comes in, Midoriya reluctantly took her with him and left the room, passing by the dead bodies of the soldiers killed by the Cyborg Ninja, which Melissa asked who this Sir Nighteye is, which Midoriya told her that Nighteye was a pro hero who used to be All Might's partner before having a falling out.

Melissa nodded and asked if Nighteye and All Might have ever reconciled, which Midoriya said that he is unsure if both Nighteye and All Might have ever met after several years, yet Midoriya is confident that Nighteye and All Might have patch things up and become friends again.

"Really?"

"Yeah."

"That's good to hear, Midoriya…"

"Well…we should get going…"

"Okay."

"Are you ready, Melissa…?"

"Yes."

"Good. Let's go."

Hope you liked this chapter, as Midoriya and Melissa narrowly escaped a possible battle with Vulcan Raven…only to step into another BOSS BATTLE as they managed to find Emmerich…and it is the Cyborg Ninja who indirectly help in defeating Ocelot, but the Cyborg Ninja demanded a duel with Midoriya.

With Melissa's aid, Midoriya managed to make the Cyborg Ninja retreat, but a revelation took place as Midoriya finds out that the Cyborg Ninja was Sir Nighteye, which Nezu is baffled as he and Midoriya knows that Nighteye died and was buried, so now Nezu would request a re-autopsy while Midoriya and Melissa head out to their next destination…
