Hey, guys! I know it's been like since February since I last updated this story. Unfortunately, I wasn't been to able to fulfil my promise on making this chapter the entirety of Thriller Bark, but what I did do in this chapter was show through Alucard's POV. I thought it would be an interesting way of doing that, plus it made go through it faster. I should also add the amount of private messages I've gotten to continue this and replied to those folks "I will" and the amount of follows and favorites I've gotten from this story alone is crazy, so I like to thank you guys for letting me how excited you are for this story. Plus, I know I shouldn't mention this, but 2020 was a crazy year for of all us, so I hope to continue this story and wish you all the best Thanksgiving/Christmas. It's not much, but anyways enjoy!
Chapter 5: Thriller Bark Part 1
The nature of this island was so mocking to Alucard. He thought to himself if he were to ever find the person behind these creations, he would smite them like never before.
Though he would've also found it amusing to face such creatures to see how strong they are. In a few steps, it felt long but he reached some weird cemetery with a few of those creatures walking around.
"Hey, what the? Are you a new Zombie?" A fellow zombie asks as he approached nearby Alucard.
He stared at them quite intently, ignoring their remarks of how "cool" he looked.
"Tell me, who did this to you?" Alucard asked as his voice slowly deepens into anger.
All the zombies surrounding him, looked at him confused until one of them asked "Did what?"
Alucard looked at all of them in pure anger "This... this travesty of your pain... where has your humanity gone..." His teeth shown to the zombies was enough for them to be put off by the vampire.
This was illuminating to Alucard as someone was messing with humanity and its nature. "I ask again who did… this… to you…"
Another zombie replied, "Eh, don't understand what you're talking about bud?"
Alucard was now getting angry and started having no patience for these zombies, "The stitches, like if a mad doctor came by and put you together and thought it was a wonderful idea to set you free."
"Oh, a doctor you say? You mean Dr. Hogback. You wanna visit the good ol' doctor?" A fellow zombie suggested.
"Dr. Hogback, eh. Very well, I would like to meet this doctor and ask him a few personal questions…" Alucard growled at his last word and was itching for another massacre to occur.
The zombies led him to a path down the forest and a nearby mansion. In his point-of-view, Alucard quite liked the appearance of the castle. Perhaps if he wasn't in England and with the Hellsing Organization, he would've moved here. However, it's most likely not going to happen. After all, he would miss taunting Police Girl and serving his master, Integra.
"Very interesting place, this doctor has. Does he get many visitors?" Alucard asked.
All of the zombies shook their heads, implying 'no'. Alucard sighed and opened the door. He entered the castle and was surprised at how nice it looked. All dark and gloomy, barely any candles lit up, and it could make anyone approach this castle thinking no one would live here. Well, except a mad doctor and a vampire willing to live in a place like this.
He knew his master Integra would like a place like this, but he would digress as he was a part of the Hellsing Organization. Getting away from his thoughts, Alucard sniffed for any living beings. He could smell one… no two….three?... no, it was four he was smelling. Powerful four scents coming from different directions, locations, and even above him.
He commented, "If there are four people here, what are they doing in a place like this?"
"Heh, who are you? Wait, you're that guy!" Alucard turned to see Hildon was here. He smiled and started to chase him around the castle as if he was the lion hunting the zebra or other prey in wild.
"Please… get away from me!" He cried as Alucard was getting closer and closer. Oh, he was having so much fun with this fellow.
Hildon thinking he was getting away from Alucard when in fact he was closer and closer to him than ever before. Of course, this is due Alucard passing through walls and playing with Hildon, and by playing it was scaring him half to death. Alucard, of course, was amused and decided to play this game until he saw Hildon was going to escape the castle.
Ok, no more fun this time. Now it was for serious talk and to find Dr. Hogback. As Alucard passed through near the exit doors of the castle, Hildon stopped midway and screamed.
"Stop screaming fool!" Alucard shouted as he grabbed Hildon and pushed him against a wall. Hildon made little noise in pain as he was never grabbed so abruptly by a normal human. Although to be fair, Alucard is no normal human.
"What are you?" Hildon asks, feeling scared of this man. Though he got no answer for 5 minutes, it was awkward. Alucard was changing his facial expressions in front of Hildon from serious to crazily.
"Please just tell me what do you want?" Hildon pleaded.
Alucard did his famous crazy laugh at Hildon who was getting scared by the minute Alucard's laugh went on and on.
Hildon didn't even know what to say this guy was crazy and getting even crazier just with his laugh.
Alucard then stopped laughing and was back to being serious. "Well, aren't you're fresh meat?"
"What do you mean FRESH MEAT?!" Hildon exclaimed and was so astonished.
Alucard commented "After all, the good doctor made you like this, tsk, tsk. Yet, you have no blood. No humanity left in you. Only a shadow of your former self."
Hildon looked at left and right directions with his eyes, just wondering what Alucard said to him.
He shouted, "What are you talking about?!"
"Forget it. Besides, I need to know where Dr. Hogback is?" He asked him.
Hildon gulped "How do you know who he is?"
Alucard smirked "Your fellow zombies are to be thankful for. I tried slaughtering but they produced no blood, so it wasn't as fun."
Hildon was getting creeped out and honestly wanted to escape Alucard's grasp, but Alucard had a treat for him.
He looked straight into his eyes and told him "You go to Dr. Hogback and have him meet me here. Tell him, a stranger would like to meet him."
"Yes, master," Hildon said as his eyes shown a sign of hypnosis. Alucard laughed as he was going to have a lot of fun tonight.
(Meanwhile with the Straw Hats)
"Spider-web?" Franky muttered under his breath. "What the hell is it doing out here?"
"I don't know, but it fits the island's theme," Robin commented.
"Who cares about where it came from? Let's go explore this island!" Luffy exclaimed while hit in the head by Usopp and Nami who both screamed "Enough already!"
Though Zoro didn't feel like it, he spoke up in defense of Luffy's idea "Well, he's sorta correct. We have to explore this place. Find out what's going on here. Besides, that vampire guy is on the island and I would be worried about attracting Marines because of him."
Nami thought about it and agreed. "You're right. That guy is going to become a danger. Does anyone think we should go after him?"
"After him?!" Chopper and Usopp gasped.
Usopp screamed at her "Nami, are you insane! That Alucard dude is a vampire! A VAMPIRE! One of the living undead!"
"Can it, Usopp!" Sanji said out of anger for Usopp yelling at Nami-swan like that and then added. "Besides, I agree with the idea of going after that guy. He'll be a nuisance if he's out alone like that."
Robin hearing all of this from her friends deep down felt it was a bad idea. Alucard seems like the kind of guy not to be messed with, let alone someone you want to anger.
"Can we try a different method?" Robin asked as she saw the others look at her.
"What do you mean?" Nami questioned her.
Robin added "This vampire guy, Alucard. He jumped so far that he appeared to land on the island. He's powerful enough for any pirate or marine to take on. Perhaps, he's somebody we should not mess with."
"I agree with Robin!" Usopp shouted in delight.
A scream could be heard from the island and it sounded like a certain someone.
Sanji raised his hand to his eye to see who was approaching them and uttered out "Who's tha-its Brook!"
Brook was running fast back to the dock and screaming "Monster! Monster! Aaaaaah!" He quickly noticed the Thousand Sunny caught in the spider web and screamed at the Straw Hats to come down immediately.
"Well, that's one heck of a call from him," Nami commented as Luffy leaped onto the dock.
He cheered "Skeleton guy!" as he crashed onto the top of Brook as the musician cried "Ooomph!"
"Luffy, get off of him!" Nami yelled in frustration at her captain.
Luffy laughed and got up and apologized to Brook. Brook also got up and replied "It's ok. But that's not the point!"
"Everyone, you are in grave danger! That monster is loose in Thriller Bark!" Brook cried out.
"Who?" Luffy asked.
"Alucard, the vampire! He's here on this island! And he's wreaking havoc on the zombies!" Brook cried out even more.
Everyone was about stunned. Zombies? What was Brook even talking about?
Brook proposed "I'll explain everything on the way if you can help me stop the mad man."
That was enough for everyone to get off the ship and hope for the best to whatever Thriller bark was going to give them.
(Meanwhile with Alucard)
Alucard went outside of the castle until Hildon's deed was done, he'll have to explore the island. He was getting quite liking to it. The soothing aura of darkness surrounding it, the sea, everything was perfect. Now if only he could get his coffin here, it'll be great for him.
