Naruto - The Wandering Trainer

Challenge sent to me by ZXAdvent.

A chance meeting in Celadon City between Naruto, a veteran trainer from Hoenn, and the disguised Jessie from Team Rocket will lead to interesting things, with her having a sudden urge to learn more about Naruto, however, with her duty as a member of Team Rocket, how will that effect her desires to get more information on him? [Naruto x Harem] [Naruto x Team Rocket Girls] [Pokephillia]

Warning, this does contain Pokephillia (Human x Pokemon) Relationships between Naruto and Gardevoir. The pairings in this won't be like most, in fact they are very rare, even in pure Pokemon fics, so I hope you enjoy these rare girls getting a chance at love.

Well, this option won by a landslide, so much so that I had to call the poll off early due to how far a head it was from the other two options. However, do not fear, as the other challenges will be coming out soon!

Pairing - Naruto x Gardevoir x Jessie (Team Rocket) (Obsessed) x Domino (Team Rocket) x Cassidy (Team Rocket) x Sabrina

So... yeah, as you can see, plenty of Team Rocket girls. Maybe you can make some ship names for Naruto and these girls/Pokemon in case I have another challenge or make a story with the pairings.

Update - Can I just say that I got a request to make a story of Naruto being transformed into a Pokemon, and having a Pokemon harem... like !Pokemon Naruto and actual female Pokemon. I mean... if you guys want me to try and make it, I guess I can. Just let me know if you want that... it might be like a Mystery Dungeon fic, or I can make it mainseries in one of the regions.

Chapter 1

It was another fine day for most people of the Kanto region. More specifically, the people that were in or around the Celadon City area, as it was bright and sunny with a few clouds about to bring the humidity to a comfortable level.

The region had just been hit with a rather fierce storm that lasted a few days, so having the sun out and shining with no gray clouds in sight was a welcomed change for the populus. As was seen by the sheer amount of people hustling and bustling around the crowded streets of the city. Young, old, single or even married or in a relationship were out and about, some going to the large shopping district they had, others just enjoying the time outside for the first time in a few days.

One of those people who were enjoying thier time was a simple, as he was just roaming his way through the forest that was just around the city of Celadon.

He stood at an above average height of 5'8, with the average height in Kanto being around the 5'6 mark for males, and just shorter than that for females who averaged around 5'5. He had tanned skin that definately screamed out that he was someone from a different region, as it was very rare to see anyone if tanned skin like his. He also had interesting marks on either of his cheeks, with three whisker-like markings on each cheek. Some who saw it believed them to either be drawn on, or are simply tattoos. It was neither of those options, as they were his birthmarks, even if he had no idea on how he got them.

His bright golden-blonde hair that spiked in every which way in an almost untamed fashion, with two spiky bangs framing his face, was also another talking point about him, as they sharply contrasted with his bright azure colored eyes, which some of the passerbys say they are the brightest blue eyes that they have ever seen.

Let it be known that having blonde hair or blue eyes in the Kanto region was rare, and having both of those traits even moreso, so he could call himself lucky, as those sorts of features were more common and frequent in either the Hoenn region or Kalos region.

Also, the off-handed comments saying that he looks vulpine-like were getting annoying. Fox Pokemon may be his favorite, but simply comparing him to one was ridiculous.

To top it all off, the figure was dressed in a orange zip up jacket that had interesting black designs around the zipper and around the edges of the fabric, the zipper was undone just enough for someone to see his black shirt underneath which looked like nothing special. He also wore black form fitting pants that had two large sky blue verticle strips going down either legm with a black belt holding it up around the waist and attached to the belt were two Pokeballs, one Luxary ball and one Ultra ball, and to finish it off his attire, some simple sneakers that had a dull orange trim around the edges and on the shoelaces themselves.

This male teen, was in fact Naruto Uzumaki, a 16 year old veteran trainer who hails from the Hoenn region... but not exactly.

You see, while Naruto may have been from the Hoenn region, he couldn't remember anything when he was younger than five, so in actual fact, he had no idea what region he was born in, let alone what city or town he was born in. All he knew from early childhood was that he grew up surrounded by Pokemon and was near a rather isolated small town near a large mountain that was also a volcano.

So to make things easier, he just simply said he resided in the Hoenn region, and when asked about the specifics of his location, he just replied that he was a wandering trainer, always on the move and never really settling down in one place for too long.

Making a passport or even ID was a pain to begin with - as Pokedex's could only go so far -, as he actually didn't exist in any of the systems. No hospital records, no known family or even background information, only his small and vague description.

But that was a story for another time.

As he made his way into a small clearing in the forest, he sat down upon one of the larger rocks found in the general area, before unclipping the Luxary ball from his belt and threw it up in the air.

As the Luxary Ball opened in a burst of gorgeous bronze lights with black trims, a rather humanoid Pokemon landed gracefully on the ground.

"Gar?"

As the lights died down, blending back into the natural green and brown enviroment of the forest, the Pokemon was revealed. It is a bipedal, humanoid Pokémon whose body resembles a flowing gown. Most of its body is white, but its hair, arms, and the underside of its gown are green. Its hair curls over its face and down the sides of its head. Behind its red eyes are short spikes, resembling a masquerade mask. It has long arms with three fingers on each hand and slender white legs. A red, fin-like horn extends from its chest, and a shorter, more rounded horn extends from the back. A band of green on its chest extends to the center of the front horn and connects to its sleeve-like arms.

"Hey, Gardevoir." Naruto greeted - idly catching the Luxary Ball and placing it back on his belt -, he smiled slightly at the awareness that Gardevoir had displayed, thinking that it was being used for battle, but once it saw no opponent around, it relaxed and it used its powers to levitate over towards Naruto and sat down next to him, "I just wanted to let you out for a while, get some fresh air and enjoy your time with nature." He added in, smiling towards his first Pokemon.

Despite the fact that most beginning trainers of every region recieved one of the three starters of said region by the Pokemon Professor, Naruto was a bit special in that case, since he actually grew up with a Gallade and Gardevoir family in the forest of the Hoenn region, which so happened to have a little baby which was a ralts - the one that was now the Gardevoir beside him.

It surprised him when he found out both Gallade and Gardevoir had some form of telepathy, it wasn't all that strong or even understandable unless you really listened, but they allowed their child to go along with Naruto once he wanted to travel the region. So now, he had the entire family with him, as he wanted to keep the Pokemon family who basically raised him and taught him how to fight - Gallade - and the one that gave him the most maternal love despite the different species - Gardevoir - however, he didn't use them to battle, instead, he opted to keep them at Professor Oak's ranch, as it would allow them to live in peace on his very large property and they would be safe from anyone who happened to stumble upon the place they lived in the wild and caught them against their will.

Ever since then, the Ralts that he lived with for some time was now his Pokemon, and he made sure to take care of her properly, feeding her the right diet and making sure to not just use her for battle and allow her out of the Pokeball for times to excercise or just to enjoy the nature.

"Gar! Voir!" She chanted out, giving a small eye smile towards Naruto as she leaned in and rested her head upon his shoulder, despite the relative height difference that they had.

She didn't need to exactly use her rather poor telepathy. She had been with Naruto since she was a little Ralts years ago, and could tell from the way his emotions were flowing and how his aura was flowing.

She was a little scared at first when she sensed something really dark locked inside his body, with it almost feeling like she could drown in the vast amount of negative emotions, but since her parents trusted him enough to raise him, then she too would trust him, and it had been the best descision she had made.

Seeing as how Gardevoir was doing her little thing again, where she basically rested on his shoulder, he decided that it was time to let his whole team out to enjoy the nature.

Grabbing the two Pokeballs with one hand and the Ultra Ball with the other, Naruto chucked them up in the air, not even bothering to look when the Pokeballs all burst open - two large beams of red, and one leage beam of bright yellow.

"Shif!"

"Seviper!"

"Krow!"

As the beams of light died down, all three of the Pokemon that were inside the Pokeball were revealed.

The first Pokemon was a bipedal, portly Pokémon that appears to be made of wood. A shaggy white mane covers most of its face and trails down its back. Long pointed ears poke out the top of its mane, and it has a long, pointed nose and a large mouth with teeth that are usually bared. Its eyes are yellow with black sclerae. This Pokémon's feet resemble Japanese tengu-geta. Three broad leaves with brown spokes form each of its hands, which it can use to create harsh and powerful wind bursts.

This Pokemon was Shiftry, Naruto's first captured Pokemon - after Gardevoir, his starter.

The next Pokemon that was revealed was a serpentine Pokémon that is scrunched up like an accordion, and was over 8 feet long. It is mostly black, but has several markings on its body. It has yellow hexagon markings that run from its head to its tail, small yellow bumps where it touches the ground, and various purple scar-like marks. It has elongated red fangs that protrude from its upper jaw and fierce red eyes. Its tail is partially red and has a blade-like shape, which can inflict serious damage upon enemies.

This Pokemon was Seviper, one of the newest Pokemon of Naruto's team, but despite having that title, it truly did have a place in the team.

The final Pokemon, which came out of the Ultra Ball was a dark-blue avian Pokémon with plumage resembling a person dressed in formal attire, one that most resembles a mob boss. It has a large feather crest resembling a fedora hat that has spikes extending from the back. It has circular red eyes with white sclerae and dark blue eyelids. Its yellow beak is slightly curved, and its head is supported by a broad, short neck. The Pokemon has a white and prominent crest of feathers on its chest that bears resemblance to a beard or cravat. Its wings have red feathers on the inside, and it has black feet with four toes. The tail's base is a white, cylindrical stalk, on which there is a growth of red feathers on the end.

This Pokemon was Honchkrow, a Pokemon in which Naruto struggled to even get to listen to him, and only when Naruto passed a test that Honchkrow made itself, only then did it put its trust in him.

Once again catching the shrunken Pokeballs as the fell towards him, he clipped them to his belt and looked at the Pokemon released.

He wasn't even surprised when they were looking around, in search of the reason why they were let out in the first place, before eventually, they all looked back towards their trainer, confusion clear in their gazes as they allowed themselves to relax.

"Don't worry guys. I just wanted to let you out and enjoy the nature for a bit." Naruto said, before he gestured to the area around them, "You see, we are in the forest that is near Celadon, one of the largest cities in all of Kanto, so you earned yourselves a reward, relax all you want, I will find you when we are ready to move on." He stated, a small smile on his face as he watched his normally tough and rather battle hungry Pokemon gain stars in their eyes.

They were so excited to explore around the place and see the new areas that they all basically left a massive dust cloud behind, each of them having an outline of where the Pokemon was located before they vanished.

Shaking his head with a sigh, Naruto glanced out of the corner of his eye and saw that Gardevoir was still leaning on him. She didn't leave with the others mainly because she wanted to be with Naruto even longer, "So, while they are having their earned reward, do you want to explore the city with me?" He asked, wanting to know if his starter Pokemon wanted to walk around with him, or if she wanted to stay on this boulder and sunbath for a while.

"Voir! Garde!" Was the ever exciteable reply, with his Gardevoir pointing one of her hands towards him, and with the other pointing in towards a general direction - while she was pointing the exact opposite way of the city, he got the idea.

"Right, so let's enjoy this colorful city, maybe even buy a few supplies." Naruto added on, before jumping off of the rock and waiting for Gardevoir to be ready. Not that it took long as she merely levitated down to the ground and stood hovering a few inches of the ground. While she could walk and use her feet, she was doing this so she could improve on strengthening her powers.

Nodding to himself as he saw his Gardevoir ready to leave, he headed off into the direction of the city, with his ever faithful and ever loyal Gardevoir following a few small paces behind him.

Neither did they know about how much their lives were going to change. Whether it was good or bad, that was yet to be seen.

Jessie was not having a good day. In fact, she hadn't had a good day in... well, she can't remember when. Day after day, experiencing failure and after failure, some more humiliating than the last, and for what?

Trying to capture one damn Pikachu that belonged to a ten year old.

Not only was she basically double the age of the 'affectionately' nicknamed 'Twerp' Ash Ketchum, and his little group of travel buddies - both of whom were Gym Leaders! She just didn't know why she continued going on and on with this sort of thing.

Sometimes, she even had near sleepless nights, and that wasn't because James snored rather loudly during his sleep, or with Meowth constantly muttering in his sleep. All of the failures that they had experienced so far, combined with the failures and terrible memories that she had in life, it was all just too much. That was why she had left James and Meowth just after landing in this city.

She wanted to spend some money shopping and hopefully drown her sorrows away. However, she had to constantly use disguises, as being in Team Rocket had left her rather wanted in the Kanto region, so in a sesne, she was always hiding her real self, even when she was not in uniform.

Was she just cursed from the very beginning to have terrible luck? Always to be laughed at or to be called useless or worthless?

Grumbling to herself, she stopped in front of a small store - a jewellery store - and looked at the clear and pristine glass, and looked at the woman reflected in the mirror.

She stood about 5'7 - without counting her hair or heels - and in her own opinion and what she heard from some of the more hormonal Rocket grunts back at base, that she had flawless skin without a blemish, and she also heard that her sapphire-blue eyes were quiet mesmerising and were complimented well by her green pearl earrings, she was wearing a long and pale blue sleeved v-neck jacket with a purple belt tucked on her jacket, a white long-sleeved button shirt underneath, one that hugged her modest bust, a white ribbon on the collar, white hot pants which clung to her curves, and matching purple heels - giving her a little more height. She was also wearing a white hat to make her hair seem shorter and sunglasses on her hat, which is used for a band to keep her hair straight.

Speaking of her hair, it was an interesting color to say the least, with it being fuschia pink with hints of red found within it, mainly near the roots of her hair.

Sighing to herself, she tore her gaze away from the crystal clear glass, and looking away from the various pieces of jewellery. Sometimes, being short on money wasn't all that helpful, but it also taught great lessons, mainly how to save money and buy what you need, not what you want.

As she continued to walk through the city, keeping a vague understanding of the space around her and avoiding the others out and about as best as she could, she got lost in her thoughts once again, mainly about what she was going to do with her life now.

She only joined Team Rocket because that seemed like the only thing in the entire region that would accept her for who she was or for her background, as it seemed the world had it out for her once they found someone who was either prettier than her or was just a little smarter than her, they generally fired her from her job with no compensation or one final pay.

However, now, she was really regretting this choice, having constant failures weigh down on her even further and with terrible memories to go along with it from childhood, she really had a feeling that it wasn't doing her any favors mentally, and it normally reflected with her hot-headed personality and the pride that she put on herself to be the best, even if it meant making enemies in the process.

'Like Cassidy and Domino.' She thought to herself, a small frown marring her face as she remembered those two in particular.

While they weren't 'besties' or great friends, they were acquaintences at best, however, due to her mean streak and her ability to get jealous when things don't go her way, it caused a rift to further split them apart, and eventually they both treated her with less respect. With Domino going as far to humiliate her every time that they met, although Cassidy was nicer, it was still rather hurtful sometimes.

She wanted to make things up, but since in their line of work and how many times they were out on missions - and most likely completing them - it was hard to come into contact with them, and even harder to get them together in the same place at the same time.

As she was getting lost in her thoughts, she didn't notice herself walking directly into the path of someone else, who also seemed to be lost in thought or was just not paying attention and marvelling in the beauty of the city.

THUD

"Eek!" She definately did NOT make that noise. Not at all.

"Ouch!" That must have been the person she bumped into, and was a male by the sounds of it, maybe in his late teens from the pitch of his voice.

"Voir!" Ah, and that was a Pokemon cry that she hadn't heard in a long time.

Rubbing her forehead from the sharp pain she felt from running into someone - someone who was fairly built or hard-headed - she opened her eyes and glared lightly at the person who dare run into her.

That glare rapidly faded once she laid eyes on the hunk of a man in front of her. In her eyes, he was absolutely gorgeous. He was a little taller than her - even with her heels on - and had hair that truly stood out amongst the rest, much like her own. When he opened his eyes to look at what he ran into, she felt her breath hitch when she met him eye to eye.

His eyes were much like his own, maybe a shade or two brighter than her own - another thing they shared in common - and he had a healthy tan from what she could see, and he even had this exotic touch to him with the whisker-like markings on his cheeks, she actually had to resist the urge to pet them, and see if they were actually real.

It was at this moment that words simply failed Jessie, her mouth was opening and closing many times, doing a great imitation of a goldfish, she just couldn't keep her eyes off of this male in front of her.

"You... alright, Ma'am?"

Jessie shivered lightly at the sound of his voice, 'Dear Arceus, even his voice sounds perfect.' She thought to herself, trying to get some semblance of control over her body, "Y-yes. I'm fine, thank you."

"Gardevoir, use Heal Pulse." He commanded, Jessie snapped her head up towards the humanoid Pokemon, who held one hand out towards her and was covered in a soft pink glow. It wasn't long before Jessie felt the slight tingling sensation of the pulse wash over her, and she felt the small pain in her forehead disappear and replacing it was an undeniable warmth that made her shiver in delight.

'Kind and considerate as well.' Jessie ticked off in her mind, she could already tell that this man was ticking a lot off in her book - not that it needed much to do - and she could already feel a desire for him starting to form.

Naruto watched in slight concern as the admittedly beautiful woman in front of him was looking at him with a look on her face that he didn't quiet understand, getting a small feel for her emotions, he got a weird mix of them, while there was an underlying and rather deep feeling of loneliness and even anger, the other emotion was happiness and what felt like desire.

"Mine."

The small and near silent statemenet was brought into the wind, however, Naruto didn't properly hear it, he wasn't even sure if she spoke anything at all, turning to Gardevoir, he looked at her with a raised eyebrow, his eyes pleading with her if she heard what the woman said. However, that wasn't the case, as Gardevoir merely shrugged her shoulders with a small frown on her face.

"What was that? I didn't hear you." Naruto asked, hoping to get some response out of the woman and maybe some knowledge on what she said previously.

"Nothing!" She quickly said, her eyes widened sligtly before returning back to normal. Clearing her throat and having a healthy flush on her cheeks from embarrassment, "Thank you." She said, straightening herself up and fixing up her clothes to be neat and tidy, "I must go. Hopefully, we will meet again. May... may I know your name?" She questioned, rather meekly at the end, feeling some sort of Butterfrees in her stomach.

It was something that she had never experienced before, and it wasn't an unpleasant experience, in fact, it was quiet the opposite, it made her feel... different in a good way that is.

Blinking a few times, Naruto scratched the back of his head and gave an embarrassed smile, feeling rather stupid that they had a... somewhat decent conversation without even exchanging names, "My name is Naruto." He introduced himself, before looking at her and giving her an expectant look, "What's yours?"

"Jessie." She replied without wasting a moment. Her eyes widened slightly as she was mentally berating herself for giving her real name and not some alias, "I'll see you around." She said, peforming a small curtsy before heading off in the other direction, leaving Naruto and Gardevoir alone to ponder upon this little incident.

"Well, that was interesting, wasn't it, Gardevoir?" Naruto asked, before turning and looking at Gardevoir, once he did, he was a little surprised to see her looking at the direction where Jessie headed off, she was also wearing a rather confused expression on her face, "Gardevoir?" He said again, trying to break her out of this little trance she seemed to be in.

"Gar?" Turning her head back and facing her trainer, she gave a sheepish smile and rubbed the back of her head, while performing a small shrug of her delicate shoulders.

Sighing to himself, he shook his head, sometimes his Gardevoir was a little scatterbrained and even sometimes had the attention span of a Rattata, thankfully, it was only when she was not in a battle, otherwise that might be a little more difficult to control, "Nevermind. Come on, let's go, the department store is just up a head." Naruto said, gesturing with one of his hands to the massive building that seemed to be about a block away.

With that being said, the duo went off towards the department store, neither of them having noticed or sensed that Jessie was hiding behind one of the many light poles a little further down the path.

END CHAPTER

Alright guys, I hope you liked the beginning of this challenge that was given to me by ZXAdvent. Like I said earlier, try to come up with some ship names for the pairings revealed before the chapter starts. It's just in case that they are used again for future challenges, and who knows, maybe I can start a trend with them.

In this story, Naruto doesn't really have a goal in mind for himself, he just wants to travel the region and experience it for himself, however, that will be very hard for when it comes to the females that will be chasing after him.

Also, don't expect Lemons, I am not comfortable with making them just yet, but I will try and do Limes. The romance won't be slowburned or being built up, some of the girls will fall in love with Naruto faster than the others, such as Jessie already feeling it, and Gardevoir, who is already in love with him.

Also, please let your opinion known on the update before the chapter started, I would like to know if I should write it or not.

Naruto's Pokemon Team

- Gardevoir (F)

- Seviper (M)

- Shiftry (M)

- Honchkrow (M)

I have left the last two open for discussion, so you can choose the last two Pokemon that Naruto has on his team, also, please do chose some nicknames either for a suggested Pokemon, or for the Pokemon on his team already, I want Naruto to have a bond with his Pokemon so nicknaming them is the best way to do it.

Don't forget to Review, Follow and Favorite.

This is chapter 1 of 10.
