Hey, everybody. Back with another chapter.

So, this one was will be one of two chapters covering events of Rogue One. This one will feature Jyn's return to Yavin IV, her decision to go to Scariff, and her assembling her team. Next chapter will cover the Battle of Scariff.

Let's get to it.

Guest DCDGojira: Yes, Ahsoka's children will be in the third story, as will Ahsoka herself. I'm still working on walker designs, but they do have their own version of the AT-ST and a walker loosely based on the AT-TE.

Christian Heath: Clone Force 5 will be showing up in action after the Battle of Yavin.

Peter Hong Kong: Yes, armies use that camouflage. At least, if you're talking about what I found on Google.

7roop3r: Yes, all the original ASAT members will see combat at least once in this story, except maybe Yamazaki, since he's already 55, and will be 60 by the end of this story. I don't plan on it being a last stand of any kind.

guest 132: Yes, there will be at least one chapter about the Vietnamese still on Kashyyyk.

Ke-Pa: I actually mentioned this on Ahsoka's wiki page. Yes, 9/11 still happened, and several Jedi were involved in the war against All-Qaeda.

CMac54: Yes, soon enough, I will be doing a timeline page on the wiki.

Guest: Yes, the ISS was still built. However, in 2009, the TAS Vladivostok was converted as another space station and laboratory.

Sectrooper: I liked the first four episodes. The Ahsoka arc, not so much, as I feel it's kind of unnecessary, although now its clear that its setting up the Siege of Mandalore, so I guess its not too bad.

Guest: Yes, the Alliance will capture some Imperial ships. There may be some imperial deserters. And I may include some scenes of the Star Forge in a future chapter.

Chapter 5- War is Inevitable

Adams walks out into the room where the leadership of the Rebellion. Not long ago, a small team, including an agent named Cassian Andor and a girl named Jyn Erso had returned, bringing news of the Death Star, confirming its existence once and for all, as well as what had happened at Jeddha. She had said that the rebellion needed to move swiftly it wanted to destroy it. However, much of the leadership were not of the same opinion.

"We must scatter the fleet. We have no course but to surrender!" one of the leaders, a woman named Pamlo, says.

"Are we really talking about disbanding something that we've worked so hard to create?" Bail Organa asks.

"We can't just give in!" Admiral Raddus declares.

"We joined an alliance, not a suicide pact," Vasp Vaspar says.

"We've only now managed to gather our forces," Bail protests.

"Gather our forces? General Draven's already blown up an Imperial base!" Nower Jebel says loudly.

"A decision needed to be made!" General Draven retorts.

"If it's war you want, you'll fight alone!" Pamlo says.

Adams now speaks up. "Not alone! The Terran Alliance has already promised materiel aid, and we're on the verge of declaring war with the Empire," he says.

"You aren't one to talk. You Terrans left this galaxy 19 years ago. You've sat in your home galaxy in safety," Jebel replies.

Adams narrows his eyes. "Really? We were on the verge of defeat when we pulled out, and we've been waiting for the opportune moment to strike back. And in case you haven't forgotten, there's still Terran troops fighting on the forests of Kashyyyk!" he retorts.

"If she's telling the truth, we need to act now!" Admiral Raddus declares.

"It is simple. The Empire has the means of mass destruction, the Rebellion does not," General Merrick says.

"Then blow the d*** thing up, for ***'s sake! You were already outnumbered and outgunned before you learned about the Death Star! Does this really make your odds that much worse? This is your home galaxy! You should be more prepared to fight for it. I can tell you the Terran Alliance isn't going to give up because of this, and this isn't even our galaxy!" Adams declares.

"My father gave his life so that we might have a chance to defeat this!" Jyn Erso exclaims.

"So you've told us," General Dodonna says.

"If the Empire has this kind of power, what chance do we have?" Pamlo asks.

"I think the right question is what choice? Like I said, you've never held an advantage over the Empire. Why quit now? If you give up now, then that is saying you no longer care about the fate of the galaxy! The Terran Alliance isn't giving up, and do you really intend to just sit back and let us Terrans fight your war for you?" Adams says, raising his voice.

Jyn nods then speaks up again, saying, "Send your best troops to Scarif. Send the rebel fleet if you have to. You have to capture the Death Star plans if there's any hope of destroying it!"

"You're asking us to invade an Imperial installation based on nothing but hope," Pamlo says.

"Rebellions are built on hope!" Jyn replies.

"There is no hope," Vaspar says.

"I saw we fight! The Terrans will, so why shouldn't we?" Raddus declares.

"I say the Rebellion is finished! And the Terrans will abandon us like they did 19 years ago!" Jebel declares.

There's murmuring throughout the crowd. Mon Mothma looks at Jyn and says, "I'm sorry, Jyn. Without the full support of the Council or further Terran support…the odds are too great."

Jyn looks very frustrated before storming off. The meeting begins to break up and people begin to walk out. Adams is one of the people who doesn't move, standing with his hands on the table, feeling rather angry at the Council.

(A few minutes later)

Jyn smiles as her new squad begins gathering whatever they can for the mission. As she does, Cassian walks up to her, and she says, "I'm not used to people sticking around when things go bad."

"Welcome home," Cassian says.

"Jyn Erso."

Jyn and Cassian turn towards the sound, and see the 12 American Delta Force soldiers that came with Adams standing a few yards away.

"We want to volunteer for your mission," Captain Rollings says.

Jyn is quiet for a moment, then smiles slightly. "Well, good to see you Terrans haven't abandoned us after all," she says. She pauses, then says, "Welcome aboard."

Several of the Deltas exchange high fives, then head to gather their gear and head out to the stolen Imperial shuttle.

About half an hour later, Jyn and Cassian walk out to the shuttle, both feeling ready to go. As they walk onto the shuttle, they see the rebel volunteers and the Deltas, all a bit crammed, waiting for them.

Jyn smiles at her team and says, "May the Force be with us." The team shares a few chuckles and words of agreement before Jyn heads up into the cockpit. A minute later, the shuttle lifts off the ground and heads up out of the atmosphere.

Back in the base, Adams is walking with Mon Mothma and Bail, who had pulled him aside to talk.

"Despite what the others say, war is inevitable," Mothma says.

"At least you see the truth," Adams says.

"Yes, I must return to Alderaan to inform my people that there will be no peace. We will need every advantage," Bail says.

Mothma lowers her voice as she says, "Your friend. The Jedi."

"He served me well during the Clone Wars, and has lived in hiding since the Emperor's purge. Yes, I will send for him," Bail says as he begins to walk away.

"You will need someone you can trust," Mothma says.

Bail turns around, smiles, and says, "I would trust her with my life." He then turns and walks away again.

Mothma then turns to Adams. "Do you think the Terran Alliance will help us?" she asks.

"Once our leaders hear confirmation of the Death Star, I get the feeling it won't be much longer until they declare war," Adams says, hoping that he's not giving Mothma false hope.

And, I'll end there.

So, I'll cover the Battle of Scarif in the next chapter. I won't cover every bit of it, and will cover little of the battle on the planet itself.

I hope you liked this one, and are excited for the next one. Until it's up, leave a review, and stay tuned.
