Hey, everybody. Back with another chapter.

So, this one will actually be partly in the POV of Imperial forces, and will be the first Imperial counterattack of the war. Can't say it will go to well though. This chapter will also introduce a fan favorite character, who you can probably tell by the title of the chapter.

Let's get to it.

1049: I'm actually from Prescott, Arizona, near where Yarnell Hill Fire took place, and I knew one of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, so I decided to honor them by naming a Star Destroyer Granite Mountain.

Guest221: I'll probably go check it out.

RandomFanAuthor: If you want to, you can check in the wiki, but for a simple answer, the London class Star Destroyers are about 160 meters longer than the Imperial class. Obviously, there's lots of other classes between the two sides into them all.

Peter Hong Kong: The Terran Alliance will be a significant power for at least a few years, but they won't take over the galaxy. They will assist the New Republic in getting off its feet, and they will actually control some territory, but mostly, they won't control anything after a few years. And yes, I may show Ewoks using Terran firearms.

pervy sage: The Alliance does have shuttle craft that are in the shape of space shuttles.

Guest: I haven't played the game, but I'll do some research, and I might include some stuff from the game.

Chapter 20- Arrival of Pellaeon

(February 16, 2014)

From the bridge of his Bellator class dreadnought, the Obliterator, Rear Admiral Gilad Pellaeon stares out at the blue of hyperspace as it races by. He knows the importance of his mission, especially given the orders come from the Emperor himself.

After the Terran destruction of Fortress Vader, Emperor Palpatine had ordered that a fleet be sent to take back Naboo. The capture of the Emperor's home world had been a great humiliation for the Empire. After further humiliations, including the destruction of Fortress Vader, the Emperor ordered that the humiliation be made right.

The Emperor had given him a substantial fleet to accomplish this task. The Obliterator, fifteen Imperial class Star Destroyers, 4 Tector class Star Destroyers, 4 Victory II class Star Destroyers, and 6 Gozanti class cruisers. A total of 30 ships, along with tens of thousands of stormtroopers.

Pellaeon felt confident in his ability to take on the Terrans. Intelligence suggested a number of Terran ships that had initially attacked Naboo had since left the system. He felt confident that his fleet could handle whatever ships remained in the system.

"Rear Admiral! Only half a parsec to go!" an officer calls out.

"Good. Prepare for attack," Pellaeon orders.

In the hangar bays of the Imperial ships, TIE pilots man their ships. Imperial gunners man their weapons. Pellaeon is well aware that his main hope of survival is by taking advantage of surprise as much as possible.

Just a few minutes later, the fleet drops out of hyperspace. Naboo immediately comes into view up ahead.

Pellaeon makes his way over to where a display is showing the Terran fleet surrounding the planet. He's been informed of Terran starship classes and sizes, and from the display below him, he can tell that the fleet is made up of 12 Star Destroyers and 4 cruisers, led by a battlecruiser.

"Deploy the fleet. Scramble all fighters and bombers. Concentrate on the cruisers first," Pellaeon orders.

The Imperial fleet separates into a battle line as their TIEs begin to launch. The Victory II and Gozanti class ships advance ahead of the Imperials, Tectors, and the Obliterator. Aboard the ships, gunners prepare to open fire.

Pellaeon watches as the distance continues to close between the two fleets. Finally, once they close to firing range, he orders, "Open fire."

All of the Imperial ships open fire with their turbolasers on the Terran fleet. The Terrans quickly return fire with everything they have as Terran fighters begin to scramble from their ships.

The Imperial ships concentrate their fire on the 4 heavy and light cruisers at the head of the Terran fleet. One of the small Anzio class light cruisers quickly begins to break apart under the hammering of hundreds of turbolaser bolts.

Pellaeon watches from the Obliterator's bridge as his fleet's TIE fighters begin engaging the Terran fighters in between the two fleets. Despite the greater quality of the Terran fighters, the overwhelming numbers of the Imperial fighter force are actually making up most of that difference. Terran fighter pilots quickly find themselves on the defensive, fighting for their lives against the marauding TIEs as some work furiously to keep TIE bombers away from their fleet.

Pellaeon watches with some grim satisfaction as the battle continues. The marauding Imperial fleet moves closer to Naboo, continuing to fire their weapons. The damaged light cruiser explodes, along with the one Jutland class heavy cruiser. As the remaining two Anzio class light cruisers begin to be hammered, most of the Imperial ships begin to turn their weapons on the Terran Star Destroyers.

Suddenly, the Obliterator rocks from a series of explosions. Only a few seconds later, a flight of SF-15s streaks past the bridge.

Pellaeon stares at the Space Eagles as they streak away. Then, a bridge officer calls out, "Rear Admiral Pellaeon! Those fighters hit us near the engines! Our shields held, but barely!"

"Where did they come from?! I haven't seen any fighters get past us!" the ship's captain says.

Right then, Pellaeon realizes his folly. "Hard turn to starboard! I need to see behind us!" Pellaeon orders.

The ship quickly begins turning to starboard. As it turns through 60 degrees from its original course, Pellaeon sees it. A second Terran fleet, made of a battlecruiser, 10 Star Destroyers, 5 heavy and light cruisers, and an interdiction cruiser moving in from behind his fleet.

Pellaeon instantly recognizes the Terran plan, and feels admiration for the Terrans for creating such a good plan. Station one fleet around Naboo itself and another fleet further out in the outer parts of the system, drawing the Imperials towards the fleet around Naboo while allowing the second fleet time to move in and trap them from behind.

Right then, more fighters launched from the second fleet begin their attack runs on the Imperial fleet, battering the Imperial ships. As the Obliterator rocks from another bombing run by SF-15s, Pellaeon shouts, "We need to get out of here! Redirect all TIE bombers to attack that interdiction cruiser, or we'll never get out of here!"

More TIE bombers are scrambled from the Imperial fleet, and all TIE bombers sent to attack the first fleet turn around to head towards the second fleet. At the same time, in an effort to cover the rest of the fleet, Pellaeon orders the Obliterator to move towards the second fleet and engage the leading battlecruiser to distract it and the rest of the second Terran fleet. Seeing the Obliterator moving to engage, the Terran battlecruiser surges ahead of the rest of the fleet.

As the two ships come closer to each other, the Obliterator opens fire, followed moments later by the Terran battlecruiser.

As the two warships begin to exchange fire, turbolaser bolts and ion cannon blasts flying in both directions, Pellaeon realizes that in a direct fight, despite it's smaller size, the Terran battlecruiser has an advantage in firepower. It's also better shielded. However, the Obliterator's greater size and armor partly makes up for that. However, Pellaeon is not entirely convinced that will make up the difference, and he's not in the mood right now to determine whether a Bellator class dreadnought or a Repulse class battlecruiser has the advantage in a single ship to ship duel.

As the two ships continue to exchange fire, several hundred TIE bombers move towards the Terran interdiction cruiser. A wing of Su-36 fighters moves to engage the bombers, desperate to keep them away from the cruiser. However, almost 100 TIE bombers manage to make it through the marauding Flankers.

As the bombers that got through the fighters begin their runs, the cruiser's defense systems begin firing. First off, Space Sparrow anti-starfighter missiles begin launching. Over fourty bombers are destroyed by the missiles. As the remaining bombers get closer, the cruiser's CIWS gun systems begin firing, blowing apart one TIE bomber after another.

However, fourteen bombers make it through both the missiles and the laser fire and get close enough to begin their attacks. They begin firing proton torpedoes and dropping powerful proton bombs on the cruiser, targeting the bridge and the gravity well generators. Over 20 proton torpedoes and over 80 proton bombs strike the ship. The shields manage to protect the ship from a number of them. Unfortunately, one of the first proton bombs to get through the shields hits one of the shield generators, destroying it and lowering several of the shields. Without those shields, the cruiser begins taking more and more damage from the bombs and torpedoes. By the time the bombers finish their runs, the interdiction cruiser in ruins. While it's not exploding, its gravity wells are destroyed and the ship has been reduced to a wreck.

Pellaeon sees this, and shouts, "Order the fleet! Retreat immediately!"

The bridge crew hurries to issue the orders. One by one, the other ships of the Imperial fleet begin their retreat into hyperspace. Once all the other ships have retreated, Pellaeon order the Obliterator to retreat. The ship turns away from the Terran battlecruiser and makes the jump into hyperspace.

(TAS Hood)

On board the battlecruiser TAS Hood, the battlecruiser that just moments ago had been exchanging fire with the Obliterator, Fleet Admiral Zambellas, the commander of the two fleets, watches as the Obliterator makes its jump to hyperspace. Frustration runs through him at the disabling of the Interceptor. Had she not been destroyed, he feels confident he could have destroyed the entire Imperial fleet.

Zambellas looks out at the space between the two Terran fleets. A number of TIE fighters had been left behind when the Imperial fleet retreated, as well as a Tector class Star Destroyer that was badly damaged and had had its engines disabled by Terran fighters. Now, Terran fighters from the second fleet begin moving in to engage the stranded Imperial fighters. Within a matter of minutes, all remaining TIE fighters have been destroyed, and the Star Destroyer has been destroyed.

Zambellas sighs as he looks out the viewport. This battle had not ended how he wanted it to, but it wasn't a total disaster. The Terrans had lost the heavy cruiser Tsushima and the light cruiser Sibuyan Sea, and the light cruiser Dunkirk and the Interceptor had been so badly damaged they had to be scuttled. Four other Terran ships, including the Hood, had suffered damage. In return, they'd claimed a Gozanti class cruiser and a Tector class Star Destroyer, with eleven other Imperial ships suffering various degrees of damage. More than that, the Imperials had been driven off and Naboo was still in Terran hands. While it was frustrating for Zambellas not to have as complete a victory as he wanted, it was a victory nonetheless.

(Coruscant)

An Imperial officer collapses to the ground, clutching desperately at his throat. He looks up desperately at the Emperor before he finally collapses, choked to death.

Emperor Palpatine stares furiously at the body, furious at the news he's just been brought. The only reason he hasn't already decided to try and kill Pellaeon is because Pellaeon has proved himself to be too reliable to let go, and because he managed to save most of the Imperial fleet sent to Naboo.

Palpatine then turns to Vader, eyes still glowing with hate.

"The Terrans continue to defy us. They are stronger than we anticipated. They must have found something to allow them to build up a great fleet. And they have clearly been training for war with us," Palpatine says in a low voice.

"I agree. They are well trained, and well equipped. And they must have had spies among us for some time. They know many of our weaknesses, and how to strike their targets," Vader replies.

Palpatine is quiet before he says, "We must accelerate construction of the new station. Once it is complete, the Terrans will not think to challenge us again."

And, I'll end there. Hope you liked this one. I know it's short, but I hope you still liked it.

So, Pellaeon has entered this universe. I plan on this being the first of many appearances by Pellaeon.

The construction of the second Death Star has begun. It'll take a bit longer in this than in canon, because I still don't understand how the Empire took two decades to build the first Death Star, and yet the second Death Star, which was actually a fair bit bigger than the first, took so little time to build. Yes, I know there's an answer out there about it, but I still think it should've taken them longer, so in this universe, it will. Not too much longer, but at least a little bit longer.

Also, I have an announcement. I have decided to create a Youtube channel dedicated to this series. Each video will explain something about this series, whether it be a character, ship, event, battle, or anything else. I'll also do some timeline videos to fully explain the timeline of this particular universe, given I've kind of blended both canon and Legends (I'll update the timeline videos from time to time as I finish each story). The channel is called "Terran Alliance Series 101", so go subscribe and wait for videos. The first video will be up soon, and it will be on the Battle of New York from the first story.

Alright. Next chapter will up soon. Until then, leave a review, go follow the Youtube channel, and stay tuned!
