Hey, everybody. Back with another chapter.

Let's get to it.

mitchsarwig15: I'm actually going to confirm now that the new TIE fighter they stole plans for is the TIE Phantom from Legends.

RandomFanAuthor: There are still over ten thousand clones in service of the Terran Alliance. The Torfans are from a planet called Torfa. I plan to include some elements from Rebels.

Guest DCDGojira: I'm not familiar with Vader Down, so we'll see. Calvin wields a pair of silver bladed lightsabers.

Guest 221: That's not a bad idea. I'll consider it.

Guest: Yeah, the Emperor is gonna be pretty pissed off when he hears about Imperial forces defecting to the Terran Alliance.

pervy sage: Yes, I will confirm that Luke's New Jedi Order and the Terran Jedi Order will be separate, though the Terran Jedi will help Luke get his New Jedi Order started.

Jedi Kyle Katarn: So, the London class is basically an enlarged version of the Victory II class Star Destroyer. The Jutland class heavy cruiser physically looks just like the Republic's Dreadnought class cruiser. The Repulse class battlecruiser basically looks exactly like the Resurgent class battlecruiser of the First Order. I'm still working on other designs.

Chapter 25- Liberation of Kashyyyk

(June 20, 2014)

"Your division's target will be the capital, Kachirho. Our most recent intelligence shows at least two legions of stormtroopers protecting the place. We don't know exactly how many walkers the Imperial forces have protecting the capital, but we do know they have at least one AT-AT, with many more smaller walkers, mainly AT-STs. You will have a squadron of SA-10s deployed to assist you, and they will be able to handle the AT-AT and most of the smaller walkers. However, you will likely have to handle a number of the AT-STs yourselves. Stick to your training, and you should be able to handle them."

Kelly leans against the wall, watching as one of the fleet intelligence officers assigned to the Repulse conducts the briefing for the battalion commanders of the 101st Airborne.

"Your battalions will be assigned to capture the southern and western part of Kachirho. Half of your battalions will be landed directly on the southern beach by the dropships, while the rest of your battalions will parachute into the western part of the capital. Your battalions will then advance into the center of the city, where will you catch the remaining Imperial forces in a pincer movement with allied forces."

The intelligence captain then turns to look at Kelly. "You will be joined by Jedi Knight Kelly Adams. Also accompanying you will be Luke Skywalker of the Rebellion, as well as a company of Rebel troopers. They will be accompanying the force landing on the beach."

The captain then looks back at the battalion commanders and says, "You have all been given information packets on key structures within the city and the general layout of the city. It is expected that the local Wookiee population will assist us as we arrive in the city."

The captain pauses then says, "You are dismissed."

The battalion commanders all snap to attention, then turn and file out of the room. Kelly follows behind them all, and heads to find Luke and the company of rebel troops.

Kelly was pleased when she received the notice that she would be taking part in the liberation of Kashyyyk. The Terran Joint Command had decided, after the capture of Christophsis and Teth that the Alliance needed to set up a base further into the galaxy. So, it was decided that Kashyyyk would be the next planet targeted for liberation.

Unlike the invasions of Naboo and Christophsis, this would be a planet wide invasion instead of targeting one or two cities occupied by the Empire. Because of that, the Admiralty had assembled the largest invasion fleet so far seen in the war. The fleet, led by Fleet Admiral Patrick Walsh, consists of the battleship Bismarck, four Repulse class battlecruisers, two Argus class starfighter carriers, two Baltimore class Star Destroyers, 26 London class Star Destroyers, 6 Jutland class heavy cruisers, 3 Anzio class light cruisers, 8 Acclamator class assault ships, and the TAS Eagle. Together, the ships carried a total of 10 combat divisions, over 200,000 soldiers, and the Terran Clone Legion, 9,000 strong.

Kelly makes her way to the room in the ship where Luke and the Rebel soldiers are waiting. As she walks in, she smiles, "Well, men, we'll be arriving at Kashyyyk very soon. We'll be going in with the first landing wave."

The rebels cheer and begin gathering their weapons. As they do, Kelly walks over to Luke. She smiles a bit and says, "Are you ready for this, Luke?"

"I think so," Luke says with a slight smile. Kelly smiles in return, and the two exchange a high five before making their way to hangar bay.

(Minutes later, TAS Bismarck)

"Admiral, dropping out of hyperspace."

Fleet Admiral Zambellas watches out of the viewport as the Bismarck comes out of hyperspace. And at the same time, Kashyyyk comes into view. Surprisingly, there are only a few Imperial Star Destroyers over the planet.

"Deploy the fleet. Contact the carriers and order them to launch fighters. Order the battlecruisers to proceed ahead and engage those Star Destroyers," Zambellas orders.

Zambellas' orders are relayed to the rest of the fleet. The two starfighter carriers, Argus and Kaga, begin launching starfighters and bombers, while the four battlecruisers move ahead of the rest of the fleet to engage the Imperial ships.

The handful of Star Destroyers above the planet quickly recognize that they're under attack and attempt to form a defensive line in the way of the Terran battlecruisers. However, the six Star Destroyers are woefully unprepared for the onslaught they're about to face.

As they get within range, the four battlecruisers open fire, sending thousands of turbolaser bolts towards the Imperial ships. The bolts relentlessly hammer away at the shields of the six Star Destroyers. The Star Destroyers attempt to return fire, but their turbolaser bolts are deflected by the shields of the battlecruisers. Although the shields begin to wear down, the Star Destroyers' shields are wearing down much faster.

After several minutes, the battlecruisers cease fire. The Star Destroyers are damaged and their shields are almost gone, but they're still intact and in fighting shape. Their crews are surprised, but take the opportunity to press the attack.

However, within moments, they recognize why the battlecruisers ceased fire as they see swarms of Terran starfighters racing in. The Imperial crews realize the Terran ships only stopped firing to allow the starfighters to launch their attacks in relative safety.

The Terran starfighters streak in, firing their laser cannons, as well as firing missiles and ejecting bombs. Explosions tear into the Star Destroyers, finally breaking the Star Destroyers' shields and blasting craters in the hull as well as taking out some of the Star Destroyer's weapons.

The swarms of starfighters pull up and out way of the Star Destroyers, allowing the four battlecruisers to resume firing. Turbolaser bolts hammer the now unshielded Star Destroyers, and one by one, the Star Destroyers explode under the unrelenting punishment.

Zambellas watches from the bridge of the Bismarck as the Star Destroyers begin to explode one after the other. As the last Star Destroyer explodes, he orders, "Advance and surround the planet. Prepare the landing forces." He then looks at one of his communication officers and says, "Contact the Argus. Tell them to scramble their Blackbirds. I want recce runs over the whole planet and every landing site."

The invasion fleet moves towards Kashyyyk and begins spreading out to prepare for the individual landings. There are 10 different landing sites across the planet. Originally, only a fraction of the total invasion forces will be making the initial landings, and the rest of the forces will be taken down to the planet once the drop zones have been secured.

On the TAS Argus, 10 SR-71D Blackbirds of the 99th Reconnaissance Squadron take off and fly out of the hangar bay. The pilots throttle up and speed towards Kashyyyk.

The invasion fleet take up their positions over Kashyyyk as the 10 Blackbirds descend into the atmosphere. A number of TIE fighters are launched from Imperial bases, but their pilots quickly realize its useless. With a maximum speed of just 745 miles per hour in atmosphere, the TIE fighters are incapable of catching the Blackbirds, which are 3 times faster than the TIEs.

The Blackbirds fly several runs over the landing areas, as well as runs over other spots on Kashyyyk. Finally, the 10 Blackbirds return to the Argus, and the photographs and other data collected are quickly taken for analysis. This data will soon be used to develop specific strategies and landing plans for the initial wave of troops.

(TAS Repulse)

"All landing forces should be aboard their shuttles. Landing operations will be commencing shortly," the announcement sounds over the PA from the battlecruiser's captain.

Kelly makes her way up the ramp onto the shuttle that she, Luke, and the rebel soldiers will be taking down to the surface. Luke and the rebels are already aboard. Their initial landing force will comprise a total of 4,000 troops. The Repulse is responsible for landing the forces on the beach and the paratroops that will be parachuting into the western part of Kachirho, and only has enough shuttles to shuttle down 8,000 troops at a time. Close air support fighters will help make up the different against Imperial ground forces while the battlecruiser's shuttles bring down more troops.

"Alright. Is everybody ready?" Kelly asks Luke and the rebel troops.

"Never been more," one of the rebels says.

"That's what I like to hear," Kelly says with a smile.

Kelly settles down into her seat. Moments later the ramp raises and the door closes, and the shuttle's engines begin powering up. After about a minute, the shuttle slowly lifts off the floor of the hangar and flies out into space to form up.

The process of forming up takes about 10 minutes. Once the landing shuttles, their escorts, and the fighters that will be providing close air support have all formed up, they start heading down towards the surface.

TIE fighters are waiting for them down in Kashyyyk's atmosphere. As soon as the TIE fighters are detected, escorting SF-23s and Su-36s fly ahead of the landing forces to engage the TIEs. A volley of long range missiles destroys most of the TIE before they can ever get in range. The marauding Black Widows and Flankers then move in to engage the rest of the TIEs with short range missiles and their laser cannons.

Kelly holds onto her armrests as the shuttle descends, gripping them a bit tighter as the shuttle hits some turbulence coming down. However, the pilot holds steady on his course towards Kachirho.

Kelly and the others wait in silence as the shuttle descends. Finally, they hear the pilot shout, "3 minutes to landing!"

"Gear up, everybody!" Kelly orders. All the rebel soldiers reach for their weapons and check them over. Most of them are wielding M4 assault blasters. Ever since the Terran Alliance had declared war on the Empire, they had begun arming the rebels with better weapons.

The team waits as the shuttle continues to descend. Finally, after several minutes that feel like a half hour, the shuttle comes to a halt and the back opens up, and the pilot calls from the cockpit, "Go!"

Kelly and Luke both ignite their lightsabers and charge out of the shuttle ahead of the rebel troops. As they charge onto the beach, they see and hear blaster bolts flying all around them. Kelly glances around and sees more shuttles touching down, with hundreds of American soldiers already on the beach and more streaming out of their shuttles. She looks up the beach and sees stormtroopers firing at them. She sees two AT-ST walkers walk out of the trees and begin to fire their laser cannons. However, a second later, an SA-10 dives to the attack and fires its 30mm cannon, destroying both walkers and killing several stormtroopers.

"Charge!" Kelly orders as she starts running up the beach, deflecting every blaster bolt that comes her way.

Behind her, Luke and the rebels charge up the beach. The rebels fire their assault blasters at any stormtrooper they can see, as Luke blocks any incoming blaster bolts with his lightsaber. He's gotten very good at doing that over the last couple months, especially after all the time Kelly has spent training him.

A roar echoes overhead. Kelly looks up and sees the transports carrying the paratroops flying over the western part of Kachirho, and the paratroops beginning to parachute out of the transports. She smiles a bit, knowing that the Imperial garrison won't be able to stand under this concentrated assault.

"Forward, men!" Kelly shouts. The American and rebel soldiers on the beach bellow war cries in response and continue their charge up the beach. Blaster fire from the stormtroopers at the back of the beach continues to come their way, but the American charge is relentless, and aided by two young Jedi, the Imperials begin to be forced back.

(Orbit)

Fleet Admiral Zambellas stares at the screens in the Bismarck's CIC. Multiple screens surround him, displaying feeds beemed back from battlefield reconnaissance drones as well as directly from the troops on the ground, showing the progress of the invasion. Soldiers have been landed at all ten landing zones across the planet, and already the Imperial garrison at one location is on the verge of surrender.

"Admiral!"

Zambellas turns to see a Torfan signals intelligence officer approaching him.

"Yes, Commander?" Zambellas asks.

"Sir, we intercepted an Imperial communication from the Imperial commander in Kachirho. It was a message to Imperial command, warning of our invasion, and we also intercepted a reply promising reinforcements," the Torfan says.

Zamebllas nods once, then says, "Order the fleet to prepare for anti-ship combat."

(Kachirho)

Kelly deflects a blaster bolt coming her way before leaping forward and cutting down a stormtrooper. She then ducks to a void a hail of blaster fire.

It's been almost an hour since she and her troops were landed on the beach. Now, the beach forces have joined with the forces that parachuted into the western part of Kachirho, and are now on their way through Kachirho to rendezvous with more men of the 101st and the men of the British Army's 16 Air Assault Brigade.

Luke runs up beside her. "Their fire is lessening. I think they're on the verge of breaking," he says.

Kelly nods in agreement. Right then, there's another hail of laser fire. The two duck down, but as Kelly glances to the side, she says a young American soldier for the 101st that she's met before get hit in the chest and go flying back.

"Sergeant Stewart!" she yells and she runs to the man. She drops to one knee beside him and examines the wound, and instantly can tell it's too serious to be healed.

Sergeant Stewart is gasping for breath. He looks up at Kelly and reaches out his hand weakly. Kelly takes his hand comfortingly as she looks down into his face. He looks back up at her and says, "It…it was an honor, Captain. Go kick their a**es." He pauses, then says more weakly, "Tell my family I love them." His eyes then close, and he goes limp.

Kelly stares down at Sergeant Stewart for several more moments before she feels a surge of anger flow through her. She quickly tries to push it from her, but some of the anger refuses to leave.

Kelly stands up and turns back towards the Imperial line, igniting her lightsaber. She momentarily looks around to memorize her surroundings so she can return for Stewart's body, then charges towards the Imperial line, lightsaber at the ready. Stormtroopers fire at her, but she deflects any blaster bolt that comes to close as she keeps charging towards the stormtroopers.

Finally she reaches them, and quickly cuts down the closest stormtrooper. More stormtroopers in close proximity fire on her, but she easily deflects their blaster bolts, sending most of them back at the stormtroopers that fired them, killing the troopers.

The Americans and rebels see Kelly in the midst of the stormtroopers and roar in defiance as they charge the Imperial lines. Several Terran walkers, similar in design to the AT-ST and designed for operation in a forest environment, move in on the Imperial lines, firing their laser cannons and scattering stormtroopers.

The stormtroopers desperately try to hold off the marauding Americans and rebels, but are slowly pushed back.

Then, the stormtroopers start to hear laser fire from behind them. They start looking in the other direction, and can just barely see the leading British forces moving through the trees, pushing back the stormtroopers trying to hold them off.

The stormtroopers, though trained to suppress nerves and fear, feel fear start to fill them. They quickly realize they are completely surrounded, with no hope of retreat, and the Terran forces are only growing as more and more forces are landed.

As the Terran and rebel forces continue their unrelenting assault, the Imperial general in Kachirho is growing increasingly afraid. He can now see both the American and British forces from his headquarters. As a laser bolt from a Terran walker explodes near his headquarters, he finally snaps.

The general activates his commlink, broadcasting on every possible frequency so that the Terrans will be able to hear him, and says, "All Terran forces, this is General Salazar of the Galactic Empire, broadcasting from my headquarters in Kachirho! I am hereby declaring my intention to surrender!"

The broadcast is heard by several Terran commanders behind Terran lines. They quickly broadcast a signal out to all their troops ordering them to stand down and prepare to accept an Imperial surrender. Sure enough, within moments, stormtroopers begin to throw down their weapons as they receive orders from General Salazar to stop fighting. The Terran troops begin moving forward to take their weapons and begin taking the stormtroopers into custody.

(Orbit)

"Admiral, we've received word from the forces in Kachirho that Imperial forces are surrendering. We also have confirmation that the main Imperial air base and the Kashyyyk oil refinery have fallen, and an Imperial refinery that works with tree sap is on the verge of capture."

Zambellas nods at the news from one of his communications officers. The invasion is making serious progress. Already, Imperial forces at four of the landing sites have either surrendered or been destroyed, and Terran forces at the other six sites are making significant progress.

"Sir, multiple contacts detected merging from hyperspace!" an officer calls out.

"Prepare to engage!" Zambellas orders.

Zambellas makes his way over to a screen displaying a map of the system and watches intently. Sure enough, within moments, the screen shows a fleet of 20 Star Destroyers emerge from hyperspace.

Zambellas smiles slightly. Apparently the Imperial commander on Kashyyyk didn't realize just how big of a fleet the Terran Alliance had over Kashyyyk.

"Dispatch all fighter and bomber squadrons. Hammer those Star Destroyers. I want them damaged before we even get within range," Zambellas orders.

The order is relayed across the fleet, and within a matter of minutes, over a thousand starfighters and bombers already stationed in the outer parts of the system are on their way towards the Imperial fleet as more fighters and bombers that were supporting the landings on Kashyyyk make their way back towards their ships to rearm.

The Star Destroyers quickly spot the incoming Terran threat and quickly begin launching their TIE fighters to engage the Terrans.

However, by the time the TIEs begin launching from the Star Destroyers, the Terran fighters and bombers have already significantly closed the range. As the TIEs begin pulling away from their home ships and flying towards the incoming Terran fighters, leading SF-23s and Su-36s begin launching missiles at them, blasting multiple TIEs to pieces.

Behind the escorting space superiority fighters, hundreds of Mirage 5000s, Su-49s, SFA-18s, SF-15s, and SB-1s begin their attack runs. The Terran pilots coordinate their attacks in three waves per ship. The first wave would target the two deflector shield generators atop the bridge, as well as the communications tower. The second wave would hammer away at the ship to remove its remaining shields and destroy a number of its weapons, allowing the third wave to come in and cause as much damage as they could to the hull.

SFA-18s and Su-49s make up the first wave, firing missiles and proton torpedoes at the shield generators and communications towers. While the shields successfully hold for a while, one by one the shield generator bulbs on all of the Star Destroyers begin to explode.

Many of the SF-15s and Mirage 5000s then fly in to make the second attack. They fire missiles and proton torpedoes at other shield generators on the bow and the Star Destroyers' weapons batteries. Their attack removes most of the ship's remaining shields, and destroy a number of their weapons.

As the second wave streaks away from the Star Destroyers, they leave the Imperial ships with highly weakened defenses, paving the way for the third wave, which comprises the rest of the Mirages and Space Eagles, and the SB-1s.

The third wave streaks in, loaded down with bombs. As they fly over their target ships, the fighters and bombers eject their bombs. Hundreds of bombs hit the Star Destroyers, destroying many of their remaining weapons and blasting huge craters in their hulls. Three of the Star Destroyers are unable to handle the heavy punishment and explode in large fireballs.

The Terran starfighters and bombers begin to pull out of the way of the Star Destroyers, the four Repulse class battlecruisers, rapidly closing the range with the Star Destroyers, open fire with their turbolasers. Several thousand turbolaser bolts begin flying all around the Star Destroyers, which begin the shake under the explosions. Two more Star Destroyers explode with moments under the heavy punishment.

Aboard the flagship of the fleet, the Imperial admiral in command, recognizing that he was outnumbered to begin with orders a retreat. His remaining ships quickly reverse their course and prepare for the jump to hyperspace. Turbolaser bolts from the four battlecruisers claim three more Star Destroyers before the remaining 12 are able to make the jump to hyperspace.

From the bridge of the Bismarck, Zambellas watches as the Imperial ships retreat into hyperspace. Privately, he muses on the fact that this was only an easy defeat because they happened to intercept those Imperial transmissions, and he had stationed so many fighters and bombers in the outer parts of the system. Had the fighters and bombers not been so close to the Imperial fleet when they came out of hyperspace, it would've given the Imperials time to prepare to receive them.

"Admiral! We have word that our forces have captured the Imperial labor camp and freed the captive Wookiees there!" a communications officer calls out.

"Excellent," Zambellas says simply. Half of the landing areas have been captured by the Alliance after hours of fighting. The invasion is coming along nicely.

(2 days later, Kachirho)

Kelly looks out over Kachirho from her place on an observation platform atop a large tree. Her position gives her a good view of most of Kachirho.

The invasion of Kashyyyk is still technically ongoing, as there is one last Imperial holdout that is refusing the surrender. However, most of the planet is now under Terran control. The Wookiees have welcomed the Terrans with open arms, not only because of the Terrans freeing them from the Empire, but also because of their gratitude for the efforts of the Vietnamese insurgency on their behalf for so long.

However, the invasion has been costly. In just the battle of Kachirho, almost a thousand American soldiers and about 500 British soldiers were killed. While overall casualty counts for the entire invasion are not yet firm, they currently stand at about 27,000 men killed over the course of the invasion.

"Hey."

Kelly turns around to see Luke approaching from behind her. He sits down beside her and asks, "How are you feeling?"

"I'm not entirely sure. Just…after having to watch Sergeant Stewart die right before my eyes…I don't know, it shook me up a little. It's not easy to watch someone die right before your eyes like that," she says.

Luke just nods and puts an arm around her. And the two friends just watch as the sun continues to rise over the landscape of Kashyyyk.

And, I'll end there. Hope you liked that chapter.

So, the Terran Alliance now has control of Naboo, Christophsis, Teth, and Kashyyyk. The Empire is definitely going be starting to take the Terrans more seriously.

I hope you liked the little scene with Kelly and Sergeant Stewart. I felt like it was about time to include another scene to really bring some humanity to the characters.

Next chapter will be up soon, and will be a chapter that I'm sure many of you will be excited about. Until it's up, please leave a review, and stay tuned!
