So, this will conclude the events on Bespin.

Guest: Yeah, I realize Kelly needs more dialogue. And from this point on, she definitely will. And yes, Luke actually has met Ahsoka before. He doesn't know her that well, but he does know her.

anthonyapodaca63: So, on the wiki pages, I've actually made lists of the ships in the Repulse class and the Dreadnought class. I'll soon be making a list for the Argus class starfighter carriers, and possibly for the Jutland and Anzio class cruisers as well. I don't know if I'll ever get to the Star Destroyers, just because there are so many of them, but I might at some point.
Sectrooper: Yeah, still send me suggestions, as I will be doing ground combat. Most of it will be concentrated in the US, but there will be some battles in other countries.
CT7567Rules: He's going to be hurt that Ahsoka didn't tell him, and horrified when she tells the true story of what happened to Anakin, but it won't really make him turn his back on Ahsoka.
Chapter 40- Escape from Cloud City
(November 18, 2015)
Luke slowly moves down the hallway, a blaster in hand, and R2 following not far behind. He had landed on a landing platform just a few minutes ago. Seeing nobody to meet him, Luke had slowly made his way into the city.
Luke can tell that Kelly is here. Of course, given their relationship, he's spent so much time around her that he's gotten to the point where he can sense and recognize her through the Force. However, there's something else that he can feel. Something that makes him feel uneasy.
Luke starts to turn around a corner, then manages to double back as he senses someone up ahead. Looking carefully around the corner, he sees Boba Fett walking down the hallway up ahead. Just behind him are two Imperial officers, pushing along the carbonite slab that is holding Han. Two stormtroopers bring up the rear of the procession.
Luke waits until they move out of sight, then heads down a small joining corridor. Reaching the end of the corridor, he glances around the corner and sees the stormtroopers disappearing around a corner.
Luke hears R2 beep behind him. He turns around and puts a hand on the droid to try and quiet him. He then turns and tries to step around the corner. However, right as he does, Boba Fett suddenly appears back around the corner, firing his blaster at Luke and forcing back around the corner. Fett fires a few more shots before disappearing back around the corner.
In the distance, Kelly and Leia, who are being escorted by Lando and some stormtroopers and Imperial officers, hear Fett's blaster and glance back in the direction the sound is coming from. As they do so, nobody notices Lando discreetly pressing a few buttons on a device around his wrist, which send a signal to Lobot to execute their plan.
As the group keeps walking, Luke finally moves out from around his corner to try and pursue Fett. Unfortunately, Fett has disappeared by now. Trying to find where the Mandalorian went, Luke makes his way down a few hallways.
As Luke rounds one corner, he suddenly sees the group of Imperial officers and stormtroopers holding Leia, Chewie, and Kelly. Several stormtroopers open fire on him with their blasters. Luke is forced to duck for cover.
The Imperials hurry to get Leia, Chewie, and Kelly out of sight. However, Kelly has by now spotted her boyfriend. As an Imperial officer tries to force her through a door, she manages to keep herself in view just long enough to scream, "Luke, no! It's a trap! Leave!"
The stormtroopers keep firing at Luke. Once all the others are gone, they use a heavy volley of fire to cover their escape. Luke is forced to duck back. By the time he looks back out, the corridor ahead is empty.
Luke remembers what Kelly just said, but can't bring himself to abandon her. He races out of his cover and over to where the group disappeared. However, when he gets there, he sees an open door, and senses something beyond it. Unable to resist checking it out, feeling that it may be a threat, Luke slowly makes his way through the door. R2 tries to follow him, but the door shuts behind him, cutting R2 off from Luke.
Luke keeps walking. Then, he suddenly feels the ground underneath him rise. Only seconds later, Luke rises into the carbonite freezing chamber.
Luke looks around the dark room, wondering what is going on. Then, lights begin to come on, and he hears a hiss before he hears that chilling voice he has not heard in so long, "The Force is with you, young Skywalker. But you are not a Jedi yet."
Luke turns to the sound of the voice, and sees Darth Vader standing on a platform above the main floor, his dark form silhouetted against the darkness beyond him. The sound of his breathing fills the entire chamber.
Luke slowly returns his blaster to his belt as he climbs up the stairs in front of him towards Vader. Reaching the top of the stairs, he stops and stares into the mask of the Dark Lord, who just stares back at him.
After several tense seconds, Luke whips out his lightsaber and ignites it, the blue blade springing to life. A moment later, Vader slowly draws his own lightsaber, and a moment later ignites its red blade. The two stand there for several moments before Luke swings the saber around before trying to bring it down on Vader's head. Vader easily blocks the blow, only holding his saber in one hand.
Luke pauses for a second before trying that move again. Vader easily blocks it, holding him off just with one arm before forcing Luke back. Luke stumbles, but quickly regains his feet.
Luke takes several steps forward, with Vader taking steps back to keep the distance. Then, Luke strikes again, again aiming for Vader's head. Vader blocks the blow easily. Luke tries several follow up strikes, but Vader easily blocks them.
Vader then strikes at Luke, and Luke blocks it. They exchange several blows before Vader attempts a strike at Luke's head. Luke ducks, and the saber goes right over his head and cuts through a pipe.
Kelly stares at the ground as the stormtroopers and Imperial officers lead her and the others down the hallway. She really feels like there's no more hope. Luke is falling into the trap Vader is set, and now she's being taken by Vader, and within a few days, will likely be standing before the Emperor.
If only Dad or Calvin were here, she thinks to herself.
Suddenly, she notices movement. Looking up, she sees that a group of Lando's men have appeared out of nowhere and surrounded the Imperials, blasters drawn. Immediately, Lando turns around and begins taking the weapons from the stormtroopers, who realize they're outgunned.
Kelly glances around, wondering what's going on. This couldn't have been Lando's plan all along, could it? He must have just had a change of heart.
Lando walks over to Lobot and hands him some of the blasters he took from the stormtroopers. "Good work. Keep them in the security tower, and keep it quiet," Lando says to Lobot.
He then turns to Kelly and pulls out a key. He reaches out and unlocks the collar around her neck, then her cuffs. He then holds out her lightsaber, which had been taken from her after Fett stunned her. Kelly looks at it for a moment before slowly taking it.
Lando then hands the balsters he took from the troopers to Leia before he turns to Chewie and moves to remove his cuffs.
"What do you think you're doing?" Leia demands.
"We're getting out of here," Lando says.
"I knew it all along. Had to be a mistake," 3PO says.
"Do you think after what you did to Han-" Leia says. However, she's cut off as Lando releases the cuffs, only for Chewie's hand to immediately lock around his throat as the Wookiee roars.
"I had no choice," Lando gasps.
"What are you doing? Trust him! Trust him!" 3PO protests.
"Oh, we understand, don't we, Chewie? He had no choice," Leia says angrily.
"I'm just trying to help," Lando gasps.
"We don't need your help," Leia says.
"Enough!" Kelly says loudly enough to get everyone's attention. She looks Chewie in the face and says, "Let him breathe, Chewie."
Chewie looks back at her for a second before he relaxes his grip enough for Lando to breathe. Kelly then walks up beside Lando and says, "Tell us where to find Han. Do it, and I'll make Chewie let you go."
Lando, looking extremely grateful, says, "There's still a chance to save Han. They're at the east platform."
"Good," Kelly says. She then looks at Chewie and says, "Let him go."
Chewie looks a bit reluctant, but lets Lando go. Kelly yanks Lando back to his feet and presses a blaster into his hands. "You're helping us get Han back or I'll set my dad on you," Kelly says. Lando looks at her and nods, scared. Thanks to Vader, he knows exactly who she is, and who her father is. Even he knows the legends in the Andromeda Galaxy about Samuel Adams.
Kelly twirls her lightsaber in hand before igniting it. She then dashes off down the hallway, with Leia, Chewie, and Lando following her.
Admiral Piett looks out of the viewport at the twinkling stars. Usually, he doesn't get a chance like this to just look out the viewport when its not looking for enemies or waiting for combat updates. For a moment, he takes the opportunity to appreciate the beauty of the stars.
Suddenly, alarms blare. Piett's head snaps around, and he demands loudly, "What's going on?"
"Sir, two different groups of ships are emerging from hyperspace! One ahead of us, and one behind us," an officer says.
Piett looks out the viewport, right as the Bismarck, Dubai and Salt Lake City drop out of hyperspace. His heart sinks, especially knowing that the other task force that jumped out of hyperspace behind the ship is probably also comprised of Terran ships.
"Call the crew to stations! Open fire as soon as the guns can be aimed! Scramble fighters!" Piett orders.
Aboard the Bismarck, Vice Admiral Axel Schimpf stares out at the Executor, and beyond that, the second task force of the Scharnhorst and the Granite Mountain, led by Rear Admiral Noonan.
"Contact Noonan. All ships separate to divide her fire. All batteries open fire on that ship. I want to keep her distracted until we can extract our friends from Cloud City," Schimpf orders.
Schimpf then turns around to face Ahsoka Tano. "Master Tano, you may want to get down to the hangar. We'll have our fighters ready to escort you down," he says,
"Thank you, Schimpf," Ahsoka says. She then turns and jogs down towards the hangar.
By the time Ahsoka reaches the hangar, all 5 Terran ships have separated and opened fire on the Executor from 5 different directions, and the Super Star Destroyer is trying to fight back as best as she can.
As Ahsoka reaches the LAAT ready to take her down to Cloud City, she sees several US Army Green Berets in the LAAT, ready to go. "Alright, men. Let's go," Ahsoka says.
"We're ready, General," one of the Green Berets says.
Ahsoka climbs aboard the LAAT, and the doors close. The LAAT takes off and streaks down towards Cloud City, escorted by several Su-36s. Another LAAT, dispatched from the Scharnhorst, is also heading towards Cloud City, carrying Simone Biles and several Polish GROM operators. The two gunships and their fighter escorts head down towards Cloud City as the Terran ships are engaging the Executor.
Kelly races along one of the corridors, lightsaber in hand, following Lando, who is now leading the group towards the east platform. She grits her teeth in determination, determined to rescue her friend.
Suddenly, she hears a familiar beeping. Glancing behind her, she sees R2 following them.
"Where did he come from?" she asks herself before shaking her head and turning back after Lando.
Lando leads them through several more corridors before reaching a door. He quickly presses the button to open it. As the door slides open, Kelly and Leia hurry past it, only to see Fett's ship already taking off. Leia fires her blaster at it, and Kelly throws her lightsaber, but the blaster bolts don't faze the ship and the lightsaber misses it. Kelly, frustrated, recalls the saber to her with the Force.
"Oh, no. Chewie, they're behind you!" 3PO suddenly calls out. Kelly spins around and sees stormtroopers coming up behind them and starting to fire their blaster.
Kelly spins her lightsaber, blocking several incoming blaster bolts. She advances forward, still blocking bolts with her saber, enabling Leia, Lando, Chewie, and R2 to escape down another corridor. Once her friends are safely out of firing range, Kelly dashes after them.
Luke tries to block a fierce blow by Vader. However, using brute strength, Vader forces him backwards.
"You have learned much, young one," Vader says.
"You'll find I'm full of surprises," Luke says before striking at Vader again. However, Vader easily blocks his blows and quickly twists Luke's saber out of his hand, sending it flying backwards.
Vader swings his saber down at Luke, but Luke rolls away and rolls down the stairs. Vader quickly leaps down after him, and Luke rolls away from Vader before regaining his feet.
"Your destiny lies with me, Skywalker. Obi-Wan knew this to be true. Even the Terrans know it," Vader says.
"No," Luke says defiantly.
Vader slowly advances towards Luke. Luke backs up, but doesn't realize he's right near the freezing tube until he falls backwards into it.
"All too easy," Vader says as he turns and uses the Force to activate the freezer. However, in doing so, he doesn't see Luke leap straight up out of the hole.
Vader turns back to the tube. "Perhaps you are not as strong as the Emperor thought." Then, a noise above him draws his attention. He looks up and sees Luke clambering on the equipment overhead.
"Impressive," Vader says. He tries to cut at Luke, but only manages to catch a tube. "Most impressive," he adds.
Luke leaps down. Vader prepares to strike him, only for Luke to grab the severed tube and direct the clouds streaming out if towards Vader, who recoils away. Luke then summons his saber to him and ignites it, turning around in time to block Vader's saber.
"Obi-Wan has taught you well. You have controlled your fear. Now, release your anger. Only your hatred can destroy me," Vader says.
They begin exchanging more blows. Despite his attempts to resist Vader's temptations, Luke feels a bit of anger coming out as he presses his attack. He forces Vader back to the edge of the pit surrounding the freezing chamber before knocking him off the edge.
Vader quickly disappears into the blackness. Luke looks down for a moment before deactivating his saber and leaping down after him. He finds a tunnel and quickly enters it, walking through it to emerge into a hallway.
As he walks into the hallway, he sees a large window that looks over the open center of the city.
Then, he hears Vader's breathing. He turns around and ignites his saber just as Vader ignites his.
The two face each other down for several seconds. Then, Vader reaches out with the Force, pulling a large piece of machinery off the wall and pulling it towards Luke. Luke turns around and cuts it in two with his saber before turning back to face Vader just in time to block his saber.
The two exchange several blows, trying to get an advantage on the other. Then, they clash with their sabers, struggling fiercely against each other. Then, suddenly, Vader sends a box hurtling at Luke using the Force. The box hits Luke in the head and knocks him stumbling a few steps.
Luke turns back to face Vader. However, Vader has now fully switched tactics. He uses the Force to send another box at Luke, which hits him in the shoulder as he tries to deflect it. Vader then lowers his saber as he begins to grab more things through the Force, sending them flying at Luke.
Luke tries to deflect the flying objects away with his saber. However, some are coming too fast, and for some reason, he seems to be tiring faster than normal. Part of him wonders if Vader is using the Force to make his movements more sluggish.
Then, a particularly large object goes flying past Luke and hits the large window, breaking it and causing a rush of air out through the window. Luke tries to grab onto something to keep himself from flying out of the broken window. However, he fails, and after just a few seconds is thrown through the window by a blast of wind. Thankfully, he manages to catch himself on a walkway below and haul himself onto the walkway. Luke grips his saber tightly as he starts along the walkway towards a large construct in the center of the open area that leads back into the main part of the city.
Kelly twirls her lightsaber, blocking another blaster bolt as Leia guns down the offending stormtrooper. The two girls then hurry around the corner and into a lift that Lando has summoned. The lift doors quickly close behind them, cutting them off from the stormtroopers.
They soon emerge on another level. Lando hurries to a control panel and tries to enter his security code to open the door. However, the door doesn't respond.
"The security code has been changed," Lando says in frustration.
"R2, you can tell the computer to override the security systems," 3PO says. R2 quickly deploys one of his tools to try and open the door.
As R2 is trying to open the door, Lando makes his way over to another panel and activates the PA of the entire city before grabbing a small microphone and saying into it, "Attention. This is Lando Calrissian. Attention. The Empire has taken control of the city. I'd advise everyone to escape before more Imperial troops arrive."
Suddenly, a jolt of electricity goes through R2 from the terminal. Kelly quickly pulls the little droid away to stop him from shorting out.
"Well, how am I supposed to know a power socket from a computer terminal?" 3PO asks.
"This way," Lando urges them, and starts running down a hallway. Everyone hurries to follow Lando, with Kelly bringing up the rear of the pack as they try to race through the crowds of Cloud City citizens.
Finally, they reach the door leading onto the platform that the Falcon is on. R2 immediately plugs into the computer terminal and starts trying to open the door.
As Kelly spins her lightsaber at high speed, blocking a hail of incoming blaster bolts, she hears 3PO calling to R2, "Ah! We're not interested in the Millenium Falcon's hyperdrive. It's fixed!"
Kelly uses her saber to send a blaster bolt back at the trooper who fired it, killing him, as Chewie, Leia, and Lando keep firing. She then hears 3PO say to R2, "Just open the door, you stupid lamp!"
"3PO! Shut up!" Kelly yells as she keeps blocking blaster bolts.
Only seconds later, R2 beeps triumphantly as the door finally begins to open. "Go! I'll cover you!" Kelly yells to the others, and Chewie, Leia, and Lando all race out onto the platform as Kelly backs up slowly, still spinning her lightsaber to block incoming blaster bolts.
Kelly waits for a minute, then glances back behind her to see that her friends have already reached the Falcon. Deciding its time to really buy some time, Kelly deactivates her saber and leaps out of firing range of the stormtroopers. She then looks up at the ceiling and reaches out through the Force. The ceiling begins to crack and shake as Kelly pulls on it with the Force. Finally, huge chunks of the ceiling break free and come crashing down, forming a barricade between the stormtroopers and the entrance to the platform.
Kelly dashes out onto the platform and sprints towards the Falcon. Reaching the ramp, she sprints up it and yells, "Lando! Get us out of here!"
Lando and Chewie are already in the cockpit. As soon as they hear Kelly yell that, Lando raises the ramp before fully powering up the engines and lifting the ship off the platform.
Kelly races into the cockpit. As she does, she looks up into the sky, and sees a beautiful sight. An Su-36 Flanker chasing a pair of TIE fighters just a few hundred feet overhead.
"The Terrans are here," she says with a smile.
Luke slowly peaks into the large construct hanging over the empty center of the city. Seeing nothing in the hallway ahead, he waits just a second longer before entering the hallway.
Luke walks carefully, trying to look for anything threatening or out of place.
Then, without warning, Vader appears seemingly out of thin air as he ignites his lightsaber. Luke quickly ignites his own saber just in time to block Vader's. Vader attacks Luke relentlessly, striking and slashing again and again. Luke tries his best to block Vader's relentless attack, but is forced back and back.
Vader presses his attack, forcing Luke onto a narrow walkway hanging over the precipice below. He attacks Luke viciously, soon knocking him off his feet.
Vader holds his saber tip to Luke's chest and says, "You are beaten. It is useless to resist. Don't let yourself be destroyed as Obi-Wan did."
Luke looks at Vader and grits his teeth. He's not about give up now. Luke swings his saber and knocks aside Vader's saber, allowing him to regain his feet. Vader tries to bring his saber down on Luke, but misses.
Vader turns and slashes at Luke, but Luke deflects his attack. He tries slashing again, but Luke ducks under the blow and slashes at Vader, cutting into his shoulder slightly and making Vader growl.
Luke retreats onto a metal beam attached to the walkway. Vader slashes at him, but only destroys some machinery Luke is standing next to. He slashes again, but Luke deflects it. However, Vader twists his saber to force Luke's saber out of the way, then brings his saber and cuts off Luke's hand.
Luke howls in pain, clutching the stump of his hand and collapsing onto the beam.
Vader looms menacingly over Luke. "There is no escape. Don't make me destroy you," he says.
Luke glares up at Vader as he retreats along the beam towards a small platform and some sensors placed at the end of it, right over the precipice. Vader watches Luke and says, "Luke, you do not yet realize your importance. You have only begun to discover your power. Join me, and I will complete your training. With our combined strength, we can end this destructive conflict and bring order to the galaxy."
"I'll never join you," Luke says angrily.
"If you only knew the power of the dark side. Obi-Wan never told you what happened to your father," Vader says.
"He told me enough. He told me you killed him," Luke says.
"No. I am your father," Vader says.
Luke stands there, staring at Vader with mounting horror. Slowly, he starts to say, "No. No. That's not true. That's impossible."
"Search your feelings! You know it to be true," Vader says.
"No! No!" Luke cries out in denial, hoping that this is just a dream or Vader is just trying to goad him on. But, as Vader, part of him somewhere is telling him Vader is telling the truth.
"Luke. You can destroy the Emperor. He has foreseen this. It is your destiny. Join me, and together we can rule the galaxy as father and son," Vader says.
Suddenly, there's a large explosion overhead. Both Vader and Luke look up to see a massive fireball at the top of the city center, and debris falling away from it. Then, as the fireball disperses, two LAAT gunships dive down through the large hole, which Luke then realizes is more of a group of holes made simultaneously.
One LAAT swoops down over Luke, and inside, Polish GROM operators fire their assault blasters at Vader, who easily deflects the bolts with his lightsaber, although he is forced back. Then, Simone Biles leaps out of the LAAT, landing right in front of Vader and igniting her blue bladed lightsaber.
"If you want to get to him, you'll have to go through me," Simone says.
"As you wish," Vader says before he attack Simone.
Simone and Vader exchange several blows, with Simone blocking Vader's blows with an ease that surprises Vader. Then, Simone manages to force Vader's saber aside and inflict a shallow cut in Vader's suit. Vader growls angrily and attacks Simone viciously, knocking her back and nearly knocking her over the edge.
Then, Vader hears something hit the walkway behind him. He turns around, and sees Ahsoka standing behind him, igniting her blue bladed lightsabers.
"The apprentice returns," Vader says.
"You aren't going to touch Luke again. Not while I'm around," Ahsoka says before charging at Vader, swinging her sabers at his head and forcing Vader onto the defensive.
Seeing Vader is now distracted, Simone deactivates her lightsaber and turns around, climbing over the railing to get to Luke. "Luke! Come on! We need to get you out of here!" she calls to him as she extends her hand out to him.
Luke has met Simone before many times, thanks to his relationship with Kelly and Kelly's friendship with Simone. He looks at Simone for a moment before nodding and extending the arm that is now missing a hand. Simone's eyes widen for a second before she calms again and grabs his arm.
The LAAT that brought Simone down pulls up alongside the walkway. One of the Polish GROM operators reaches out with a hand towards Luke and yells, "You need to jump! Hurry!"
Luke looks at Simone. She smiles reassuringly and says, "I'll give youa boost." Luke nods, then turns to the LAAT. He summons as much strength as he can and leaps towards the gunship. Simone uses the Force to give him the extra push he needs to reach the gunship. Two of the GROM operators grab Luke and pull him aboard, where a GROM medic instantly sits him down and starts checking him out. Simone then takes a leap and lands in the back of the gunship.
Ahsoka is still exchanging blows with Vader. As soon as she sees the gunship carrying Luke and Simone pull up and start heading back out, she strikes at Vader and forces him back with her sabers, then lets out a wave with the Force that knocks him stumbling back. Then, before he can react, she leaps straight up as the other gunship flies overhead, and one of the Green Berets leaning out of the gunship's door grabs her arms as other Green Berets fire their weapons at Vader to keep him occupied.
The one Green Beret pulls Ahsoka into the gunship. Once Ahsoka is aboard, she yells out, "Let's get out of here!" The gunship pilot quickly pulls the gunship up and shoves the throttles forward, and the gunship climbs up out of the center of Cloud City.
Below them, Vader watches as the gunships climb away, anger rising in him as he watches them fly away.
As the gunships climb out of Cloud City, several SF-15s bearing the insignia of the Hammer Squadron pull up alongside them to escort them back into orbit. The gunship pilots close the blast shields, and the gunships begin climbing up out of the atmosphere.
In one of the gunships, Simone kneels next to Luke, watching as the medic tends to him. "How are you feeling, Luke?" Simone asks.
"I don't know," Luke responds honestly.
Simone smiles a bit. "Well, wait until you see Kelly again, and I'm sure you'll feel better," she says. Luke looks up at her, and she sees a bit of light come back into his eyes at the thought of Kelly.
A laser blast rocks the gunship. Simone almost falls over, but keeps herself upright. "How much further?" she calls out.
"We're almost there," the pilot calls out.
Sure enough, a minute later, the gunship comes to a halt, and the doors open. Instantly, several ship medics swarm up to the gunship to get Luke out of the gunship.
As the medics pull Luke out of the gunship, he looks across the hangar. He quickly recognizes he's in the hangar of the Bismarck, as he sees the ship's name engraved on the wall of the hangar. Then, he sees the Falcon parked across the hangar. And he sees Kelly running towards him.
"Luke!" she screams as she sees him. In seconds she is by his side, leaning over him as he's put on a stretcher.
"Luke! Are you okay, sweetheart?" she says amidst her tears.
"Fine, Kelly," Luke says with a smile.
Kelly smiles a bit before leaning down and kissing Luke. Then, Luke is whisked off to sick bay, with Kelly following close behind the doctors.
Meanwhile, on the bridge, an officer hurries up behind Vice Admiral Schimpf and says, "Admiral! The rescue forces are back!"
"Prepare for jump to hyperspace!" Schimpf orders.
The navigation officers on all five Terran ships hurry to plot the hyperspace jump. As soon as the coordinates are set, Schimpf orders the jump be made. One by one, all five ships turn back the way they came and make the jump to hyperspace.
Aboard the Executor, Admiral Piett stares off into the now empty blackness of space. The battle had only lasted about 15 minutes. His ship had managed to damage the Bismarck and two of the Star Destroyers. However, the Executor has also sustained damage, and they had failed to stop the rescue effort. I hope you liked the way I did this chapter, and how I did the rescue. Given a lot of the story of Empire Strikes Back until now has been very, very close to canon, I figured I'd change the escape from Cloud City a bit.
So, Luke now knows Vader is his father. You'll see him digesting this information over the next few chapters, and confronting some Terrans who know the secret.
